Eye Eye!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy (Gissa Cuddle) de Ferret here!

Well, today has been exciting and Boring and Great, all at the same time!

Let me explain.

This morning we were kicked out of bed good and early by The Missus who spent the early hours crashing about getting her stuff ready for the 'Master Class' today in the village hall.

All that noise kept waking us all up so in the end Old Two Legs was up and cleaning the ferrets cage before they had even woken up!

Our morning walk was just for Holly and I 'cos we had to be back by seven to take TM up the hall. Then it was back home to finish the cage cleaning and replenishing the food bowls!

Auntie Jane arrived at eight thirty to take OTL off to the hospital to have his eyeball done, the left one on account they did the right one before!

There was loads of paperwork to complete an it wasn't until two thirty that OTL was allowed to go home!

Our lunchtime walk was good, I had a roll in something really smelly and TM was not a Happy Puppy 'cos it made her late getting back to the Master Class!

Holly and I were both left on our own until OTL came back and when he did, we gave him a big welcome and he even got a cuddle from us both as he tried to have a snooze in his armchair!

Now he has told us he has a problem. His right eye was done and his glasses make the world look fuzzy and now that his left eye is done, he has fuzzy vision with the glasses on, in both eyes!

So, take off the glasses and at the moment, he has vision in his right eye but it only comes into focus when things are an arm length away, and closer or further away, it all goes fuzzy again!

So, tomorrow when he gets to take off the protective eye patch, both eyes will focus on his finger tips and everything else will be fuzzy.

Which means he can't wear his glasses, so the world all fuzzy, including the computer screen where he helps prepare the photos. So, until he works out some way of processing the photos without seeing if everything is in focus, we are stuffed!

I suppose that means we will have to paint a picture with words!

Well, after OTL left for the hospital this morning, it was BORING, even the ferrets went back to sleep!

As it was so BORING, Holly and I went back to sleep until TM came back.

After our walk and wash to get the smelly off me, it was BORING until OTL came home!

OTL discovered the new Travelling Cage for the ferrets which looks dead smart. Holly and I are just a bit too big to go inside, so we decided the cage was BORING!

Tomorrow should be a lot more fun and hopefully, not a BORING as today!

I reckon that picture is a bit BORING!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

  1. Evening gang. Sorry to hear you've all had a boring day and kicked out of bed in the middle of the night as well to add insult to injury. I don't suppose the furballs were too upset about not getting out for their walks though. Poor OTL, I hope his eyeball isn't suffering too much and gets to see well soon. Does OTL look like a pirate at the moment? Wot a shame you couldn't go along to Mrs TM's masterclass, you would have had all the ladies making a fuss of you and nibbles to mug and cuddles to get. I'm sorry to hear that Mrs TM washed off your latest sniff. OTL could just load his pictures on and not worry about anything, his photos are usually brilliant anyway. Do the furballs like their new cage? I haven't had a very exciting day today. I went out for my morning walk very late and missed meeting all my woofer mates. I got some strokes from some ladies while I was walking but it's not the same is it, they don't know where the best sniffs are. I met a frog crossing the footpath up the street, it wasn't one from my garden and my mum wouldn't let me bring it home. Sometimes these Mrs TM's can be a bit boring. I hope you all get some decent snuggles this evening. I bet OTL will make it up to you tomorrow for being left home alone so much today. Have a nice evening, love, licks, sniffs and wags from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxx

  2. Oh dear! Not a very exciting day for you, but poor OTL with his fuzzy eyes. Does that mean that he might miss his mouth when he eats his shortbread? I'd stay close just in case! I heard about your roll in a juicy sniff from mum's daughter who was at TM'S masterclass. It sounds like it was a really super sniff that sticks to your fur as TM told them all about the fun you'd had! We've got lots of tasty treats on our walks at the moment because the farmers been moving the lambs and ewes around. Lambs leave tasty treats for us. Clever Molly Cat said it's because they drink something called colostrum. However we get told to leave it but it's just tastes so good. I am very good at 'leave' though because I learnt at puppy training school. I spit it out quickly and then Mum gives me a special treat from her bag.
I hope OTL'S fuzzy eyes get clearer soon as it must be very frustrating for him. Love, wags, woofs and licks from Izzy xxxxxxxx

  3. Here I am in Womenwold with Internet stuff and new Winnie giving her a test drive. Michael turned over in bed about 1-30 am because the low water alarm buzzer went off, he didn't know what it was at first but fortunately it wasn't the van alarm waking up 30-40 sleeping people. We are finding out all sorts and will sort out the where to put what eventually, having had a van you want to find tea bags where they were but that place doesn't exist now.
What a day your day was but I am very disappointed with you for rolling in the smelly stuff when OTL was at the hospital and TM had to leave her class to take you for a walk, I shall deduct a carrot and suggest you don't complain about food for at least two, make that three days! Hope those poor peepers sort out for OTL and tell him not to strain them, off now to read tomorrow. xxxxxx
