It's another Damp Day!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

Well, today is the first day of June, Flaming June, Hot and Sticky June, put your sun hat on June, not freeze your tail off June!

Just wot is happening? There we were expecting balmy breezes and blazing sunshine and instead Old Two Legs is looking at Outdoor Professional Clothing on the Internetty Whotssit!

It had just stopped raining when we went out this morning but there were big puddles all over the place, mind you OTL loves driving through the puddles!

When we got to the car park we met up with young Dave the Westie. We chased a couple of rabbits, had a sniff and a wee and off he went to walk along the Sea Wall with his Two Legs. We gathered up May and April and headed off to the grass path!

See you later Girls!
Down on the beach Miss May got going on a hole but Miss April said she didn't fancy sand today and please can she have the grass!

No, I'm not in the mood to dig today!
We could see that Dave was chatting to a couple of woofers down the Sea Wall a bit, so we gathered up the ferrets and headed for the grass!

Come on, we have time to get up on the grass path!
Both May and April had a great time digging in the grass and getting muddy paws! OTL says that digging helps keep their claws to the correct length and the short walk on the concrete path just takes the points off as well!

Back home we got presented with Doggy Scoff, not the normal Pigs Poo but The Missus said this was an 'Up Market' Scoff. Well, as I hadn't had much yesterday I decided to give it a go and surprisingly it wasn't too bad, so I finished it all and even licked the bowl!

After eating our scoff, TM gives Holly and I a 'Treat' and today was no exception, when I finished I got a large lump of Chicken Fillet but Holly didn't. She didn't eat her scoff, so she didn't get a treat.

Holly Chops was not a happy puppy and proceeded to rob me of my Chicken Fillet!

There was loads of grumbling and growling and in the end TM had to take the Fillet off Holly, lock me away with OTL in his office and give me my Chicken Fillet to eat on my own!

I didn't mind in the slightest, in fact I made loud lip smacking noises so that Holly, who was sitting outside the door, could hear me enjoying the Chicken Fillet!

Holly was not a 'Happy Puppy', not that I cared!

Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy were down on the beach with us and although Holly was still showing off, we all had a good game of 'Dig and Whizz'!

Who whizzed over the top then?
Freddy was amazed just how much the Sea Kale plant had grown and another Sea Kale Plant was growing as well!

Soon we will have Sea Kale all over the beach, unless someone comes and 'Tidy the Beach Up' and digs them up!

It's getting bigger every day!
The puddles were still as big as they were this morning and one soppy TL was jumping in and out of the puddle with her Bozo of a Labrador who just loves puddles!

OTL was going to drive through the puddle and throw water up all over the car but decided that the TL wouldn't like getting too wet, so he drove very slowly through the puddle and just washed the wheels of the car!

Go on, put yer foot down!
Freddy was jumping up and down and shouting for OTL to make a big splash!

Naughty Freddy!

We reckon that Archie Babes Boy has got over to his destination by now and Mum can breath again!

Does that mean Archie Babe will get first choice of the cushions on the sofa?

What is all this about Hamish and Izzy climbing mountains? OTL used to do that but now he is getting too old and too much of a liability and no one will go with him, so that means we have to make do with the rocky bits down the bottom of the mountains!

That is one thing about living down the south, we get the best weather but there are no mountains, just silly hills!

Next holiday is North Yorkshire, are there any mountains in Yorkshire?

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

  1. Evening little maties down there by the wet and windy seaside. It's been a very yukky day here as well, raining, windy and cold. I went out this morning for my morning walk cos it was just windy and cold but I refused to go out this afternoon cos it was raining so I had a nice snooze instead. Good to see you all out on the beach even if the weather wasn't so good. I think I would have stayed in the ferret bag if I'd been May and April. Way to go Freddy, make a big splash OTL, you know you want to. Now wots this about only one of you getting a chicken fillet, I think I would have been a tad upset if I'd been left out but it's not nice to mug your woofer sister. Poor Holly, I hope she gets to mug a bit of dinner tonight to make up for being left out of the morning treat. My boy arrived very early this morning at his destination, I think my mum turned her phone off at 1.55 am. Not that I was listening, I was too busy snoozing since we'd all been up at 4.30 in the morning. Me and my mum had a bit of a lay in this morning cos we was very tired. Izzy and Hamish sound like they're having a lovely time. I don't know about mountains, I'm not sure they'd be my thing. My mum reckons there are some very, very big hills in Yorkshire but hopefully you won't be having to climb up them, I'd go for the little hills if I were you, you know, ants hills. Have a lovely evening this evening and stay warm and snuggly. Paws crossed that the weather improves tomorrow cos it would be nice to go out without having a gale blowing up yer tail. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxx ............. ps wot about the frogs?

  2. Oh golly gosh! You have had a lot of rain down there! That puddle is really big, I would have to swim through it. Sounds like the Labrador would have enjoyed OTL splashing him. And what about that Sea Kale. It is mahoosive. A ferret could get lost in there for a week. You were a very good girl, eating all your new Doggy scoff, but poor Holly missing out on a chicken fillet. No wonder she tried to steal it from you and got so grumpy. We have new doggy scoff this week because our ran out and mum can't get to the shops to buy our usual one because all the gypsies are in the roads racing their horses up and down. They have taken over the farmer's field too and parked all along the road side. It is really difficult to get anywhere. Apparently there is a big horse fair happening in the town. All I know is that the road in the village has some really good sniffs on it!
Apparently Hamish and I climbed 868m up our mountain. We were a little bit tired but I think our Dad TL is getting like your OTL because he slept for hours and hours when we got home. Mum went to her "get thin" club and he didn't even know she'd gone.
Mum says that there are some big hills in North Yorkshire but OTL should be ok because you can drive up and over and OTL should get some nice photos. We are not too far from North Yorkshire so maybe we can meet up and share some sniffs. Our TL's go out a lot on their motorbike all around the Yorkshire Dales. There is a nice place called Hawes where they make Wensleydale cheese apparently. They keep threatening to take us on the bike too but we say, "Not on your Wallace and Grommit Nelly"
I'm really pleased to hear that Archie Babe's boy has arrived safely and that his TL can finally stop looking at her phone. Those big flying birds are pretty scary things. I still don't know how TL's fit in them because they always look so small in the sky.

Really hope the weather gets better soon for you and yes... have you got any frogs yet?
love, sniffs and wags from Izzy xx xx xx xx
