We Need an Ark or Two!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

What a night!

We all went to bed at the normal time last night but as we were sniffing our way around the garden Holly noticed that the evening light was 'Strange'.

Old Two Legs said it maybe had something to do with the coming thunder storms but we couldn't see anything on the horizon so we headed off to bed leaving the thunder storms to play with the clouds!

Around three or four this morning there was an enormous thunder storm over the top of us!

There was crashing and banging and lightening and rain.

In fact there was a lot of rain, masses of rain and thunder and lightening!

The Missus and Holly got up to watch it while OTL and I just rolled over and carried on snoozing!

When we did finally get up we saw that the pond was full to the brim!

The ferrets said they didn't hear anything, just like OTL, they go into a deep sleep!

We went down the beach and Holly was looking at the water, which was at low tide, and reckoned that the amount of rain we had this morning she had expected the water to be up to the Sea Wall!

Not much change here!
Mind you, there were puddles all over the place on the grass paths. Even Holly had to get her paws wet!

We spotted a rabbit ahead of us but because the ground was all wet and soggy we didn't even bother with chase!

Nah! Not worth getting wet paws over!
We had to go through some big puddles on the way to the beach and outside the Mini Two Legs School there was puddle big enough to float a boat on!

OTL said that what we needed was an Ark!

Launch HMS Ark!
Lunchtime was no improvement and the tide was still out. It was also very muggy, just like it is before a storm!

I got down to the beach first and just couldn't resist a paddle, well, a deep paddle, well OK, A SWIM!

Ooooh! I need this!
OTL got down to the beach with the ferrets and once they were sorted and digging holes, OTL threw a stone into the water and told me to 'Find It'!

but It's Sunk!
Holly, who was sitting on the Sea Wall, was highly amused and called out that if we stay any longer we will all get wet through to the skin!

What a Bozo, swimming in this weather!
Back home to find out that the big car was not going to be finished, some sort of 'Wrong Delivery' or summat!

The Missus wasn't too happy about that 'cos tomorrow we were going to do another video on 'Glue Slapping With a Wet Fish' or something like that, or maybe it was 'Slapping a Wet Fish with Glue and Glitter'!

Who knows, if she gets her act together we could still do it and be home in time for tea!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

  1. Ahoy little maties down by the seaside with the big wet puddles. I hope Holly wasn't too upset about the storms last night. Now me and my mum slept thru it all, you see my mum and Barbara next door had a stiff nightcap and I had a little sneaky slurp. We've had a storm this afternoon, well I've never seen rain like it, my mum has been cleaning out her craft room and she had to go back in and put bowls on the floor cos the rain was coming in thru the roof. I went in to inspect and got a rather big drip drop on me. We're having an early night tonight but no nightcap as my mum has to get up for work in the morning but she's allowed to go in half an hour later because the papers are going to be late arriving due to some voting thingy today. My mum and my boy have been working very hard today, they've been getting rid of anything that doesn't work or hasn't moved, I nearly ended up in the skip cos I had a snooze and I didn't move for a little while. Now, you know my mum bought me a boat paddling pool and I don't do paddling so we use it as a toy box, well my mum reckons that we should bring the boat down to you and you can use it as an ark, but it hasn't got a roof on. My mum says she's looking forward to Mrs TM's video and she hopes that you and Holly chops get a walk on part this time. Sorry to hear about the big car not being ready but at least it means that OTL can hang on to his money for a little bit longer. I hope you don't get disturbed tonight with the noisy thunder. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxx

  2. What thunder storm was that, I think we had a drop of rain in the night but nothing you had and today it rained about 4-5 o'clock, just a little. When I told Michael about your terrible storm he simply said it served you right for living there, I didn't think that was very charitable! That was a big puddle outside the school and along your pathway, I hope it has all gone now. This video sounds "interesting", had I known I would have saved you some of the cod we had for dinner yesterday, it could have added a bit of texture. Can't wait to watch it, as usual it will be informative, can't be sure that it will be pretty but I won't prejudge.
It looked as though you got very muddy looking for that stone, OTL's fault so I hope he didn't blame you. Sorry the big car is still poorly, it will give the money more time to grow, how kind of Archie and his mum to think of you with the boat, hope her craft room wasn't damaged too much and it has been sorted out before any more wet stuff comes down. Tell Archie to keep moving to be certain of not going into the skip and you all take care if we have more water descending on us. xxxxxx
