Eric has a 'Sore Spot'!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, we watched the weather forecast and it said there would be rain, wind, possibly snow, howling gales and more rain.

Down here in the 'Soft South' all we got was a bit more wind! Mind you, over the next day or two it will be a struggle to get the ferrets walking if it's too rainy!

The same goes for us woofers as well.

This morning it was almost all blue sky everywhere!

All this before the sun gets up!
Miss May and Eric had a good run on the beach and May even found a super sniff to roll in!

...and just another spot further down my spine!
After we got back home Eric was packed up in the carry cage, complete with a newly washed blanket and off he went to the vets.

When he got there Old Two Legs got presented with a bill which listed Vasectomy AND Castration!

I mean, how can you castrate and vasectomise in one hit!

I mean, it's like having your claws clipped and then chopping your paw off!

Stupid!

OTL then had a discussion with the lady who just didn't see the mistake and it took the vet to also point out the mistake!

Down on the beach it was all grey clouds and wind, so it  looks like the rain may be here overnight.

The build up to a wet night!

Eric was ready to be picked up mid afternoon and when OTL called into the vets, there was Eric in the arms of a nurse getting a cuddle!

He was tired and also sore, or as Eric put it, 'There's something missing but it's still sore!'

It was decided to leave him on his own for the night and OTL got the 'Holiday Cage' in from the shed, fixed it up with food and water plus a big soft bed for Eric to cuddle up on!

In his normal cage he has to negotiate a hole in the floor plus four levels to get down to the toilet area, so to be kind the holiday cage has just a drop down from the pillow into the toilet area and if he wants, he can both eat and drink from his bed!

Luxury or wot!

We are going to keep watch over him tonight and claws crossed, he will be back to normal tomorrow morning.

Mind you, he may be walking with bowed back legs for a few days until it all heals up!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Poor Eric, hope he feels better in the morning xx. Was May told off and shouted at for rolling in the super sniff, I bet not, had that been you or Holly a different story. Eric's holiday accommodation seems an ideal bungalow for him and without a sharer he will be better off. I am going to the seaside tomorrow so I will compare notes in the evening, let's hope the weather is fine! Nite, nite all, extra snuggle for Eric xxxxxx x

  2. Evening little maties down by the cold seaside. Well the wind is getting stronger and colder here this evening so I wouldn't be surprised to see the snow fairy tomorrow. Poor Eric, I hope he can get a comfortable night and wot a good idea to make things easier for him. Will he be walking like John Wayne, my mum reckons TL chaps walk like John Wayne when they have the snip. I wouldn't walk when I was done, I just plonked my butt on the floor and refused point blank to walk. I hope Eric gets over it very quickly. Poor little chap. I agree with Sue, Miss May should have got a telling off for rolling in a sniff like wot you and Holly chops do. Lovely pictures today. I've got a delivery of toys coming tomorrow for my birthday so I'm looking forward to a right good play, in doors, in the warm. I looked after my boy this afternoon while my mum went to work and do you know wot that sneaky boy did? He told porkies about me when my mum got home, he said I'd been a pain all afternoon and he said I squawked all the afternoon for scoff. Now as if my mum would believe that! Have a lovely evening all, stay warm and snuggly and look after little Eric, I know he'll feel better just knowing you're looking after him. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxx extras for poor little Eric xxxxxxx

  3. Poor Eric. It's not nice having sore bits. Think that lady at the vets needs a biology lesson. We had lots of wind up here but they say severe weather conditions tomorrow which means gales and snow...and my mum has to drive to hospital in Newcastle so will be driving where the snow is. My pups all have their eyes open and are beginning to do a wobbly walky crawl. I've let Bella and Hamish meet them now. Bella wants to play and doesn't understand why they don't bounce around like her but Hamish is a little unsure and just gives a sniff and runs away. I keep watch over them and always come running if they call me but it nice to have a break & let others have a turn at puppy care. Love licks sniffs and woofs (especially to Sore Bits Eric) Izzy xxx
