Flog Splawn and the Rio Grande!

Yo Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a surprise we had this morning, Old Two Legs let Holly and I out for our morning patrol around the garden but when we got to the pond, we both stopped and gazed at two balls of jelly in the pond!

We got OTL out and he confirmed it was Flog Splawn!

It won't be too long and we will have loads of little flogs jumping around the garden, chasing the birds and hunting the rat!

We could always do a 'Archie Babe' and catch the frogs and bring them in doors for TM!

Yeah! That would be fun!

Tons of Flog Splawn!
It was a bit damp down on the beach this morning and the weather man says it will be very wet this afternoon as well!

Here comes the rain, again!
Needless to say, we didn't hang about and even the ferrets decide to jog back to the car!

Things are a little different for The Missus, she is in Big Bend National Park where the Rio Grande river flows, so, she just had to get her photo taken alongside the river.

Spot TM!
After deciding they don't have a telephoto lens, TM decides to have a sit down. Now, can you see the rattler?

Rattle Snakes swim as well!
TM said that OTL would have enjoyed the canyons and river 'cos he is into landscape photography

I can see a rattler behind you!
TM and Co will be going back home soon and plan a day of crafting and mucking about with paints to reflect the colours they saw in the canyons!

Arty or wot!

Holly and I got Doggy Scoff again today but this was a different sort which wasn't too bad!

Mind you, it always tastes better when you spread some of the gravy from OTL's dinner over the top!

We went down the vets to get checked out before they would issue the prescriptions. Holly has put on a bit of weight since the last time she was weighed, I am still a slim 7.8Kg but Porkie Chops Holly Dog has gone up from 10.5Kg to 10.8Kg!

Trouble with her is she likes her grub too much!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret

  1. Evening little maties down by thes seaside. Wow, wot a lot of flogs splawn you've got. I better go and check out my pond this week to see if I've got any. If there are any newts around, watch out, they eat the flogs splawn and the itty bitty little tadpoles. I should mount a flogs splawn watch if I was you. Glad you managed to get to the beach before the rain fell out of the sky. we've had a couple of light showers but nothing too much although it has been a grey old day. When I went out for my first wee this morning there were 2 cheeky squirrels digging holes in my garden. I chased them both out and kept watch to make sure they didn't come back, wot a cheek, digging holes in a woofers garden. I bet OTL would have loved to have gone where Mrs TM is, he'd have had a lot of fun with his camera. Now I didn't spot a snake but there does look like there might be a submarine lurking, I'm sure I spotted a periscope poking up out of the water, maybe their snakes have periscopes so they can see where they're swimming. Mrs TM certainly looks like she's having fun. Mind, I'm sad to hear you've still got doggie scoff for your dinner even with OTL's gravy, that's a bit naughty. I think you and Holly will have to tell OTL that if you get served up anymore doggie scoff you might just have to have a ferret sarnie to help it go down. Poor Holly chops, I bet she don't fancy going on a diet, my mum has put me on a diet cos I weighed in at 10.6 last week. I'm going on Saturday for another weigh and I bet the scales were wrong last week so I hope they're fixed this week, cos I know I haven't put on weight. Maybe Holly has more hair than you Daisy, that would account for a discrepancy in the weights. Have a good evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little (guard dog) Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxx

  2. Sorry about the rain, it has been really miserable all day and after doggie scoff even with gravy it doesn't add to the pleasures of a day. Oh my, you certainly have a porky chops there, she will be taking up so much more room on the bed that by the time TM comes back there will be nowhere for her, she will need a Z-bed in the shed. She could be Chief Splawn Keeper, she could Craft away to her hearts content and pop in to do the cooking, wading and cleaning. You know me full of bright ideas, I think I will move house in the meantime! Lovely pictures, beautiful landscapes from TM as well, I bet she is having a whale of a time and will have so much to tell. I don't like the sound of swimming rattle snakes, she can leave those behind. Waiting now for the tadpoles, don't go frightening them! xxxxxx
