Well, wot a busy day!
We were out first thing and met up with Max and Oscar. Both wanted to try a ferret for breakfast but OTL knew what they had in mind and kept both ferrets in his arms!

Lunchtime was fun. Remember Eric's dip in the tray full of water? Well it seems that both Fred and Eric have got a taste for a cool paddle!
Eric saw me dive into the waves for a 'Deep Paddle' and decided to do wot I do!

OTL had an important job to do. The girls at the Allhallows Croppers had raised some money to donate to the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue to help finance medical treatment for the ferrets. While he was there OTL had a look around the hutches at the ferrets waiting for new homes. There were two ferrets there who had been found by the side of the road, starving and covered in fleas and ticks. They were in such a state that they had to be force fed using an eye dropper to begin with, just to get some 'Ferret Soup' down them!
When OTL saw them they looked very thin and a little shaky but they had started to eat on their own and were on the road to recovery.
Chris said that she had someone there who was waiting to see OTL..............it was Rufus!
He looked wonderful, all shinny coat and sparkling eyes and he gave OTL a good licking while they were having a cuddle!
Rufus was on his third girl friend, he sure is getting around!
Roy and Chris said that they were over joyed with the donation and said a big, big thank you to all the Allhallows Croppers and that every penny would be spent on the care of the ferrets.
So, with that good news OTL had to leave the rescue on his own 'cos OTL had been told by The Missus that if he came back with any more ferrets........they could stay but OTL was off to the shed!
As the shed is full of spiders, OTL came home alone!

So where have you been Daisy, I have nearly given up waiting for you. The last thing I know is TM being taken out to Vote and getting a day out for once. I thought they had gone off somewhere leaving you all at home. We are having thunder and lightening here at midnight so I hope you are having a quiet night. Lovely photos and glad the ferrets stayed safe and great news about Rufus. Wonderful that those Croppers raise a good big of money for the rescue centre, they do good work and hopefully those two newly rescued ones will soon find loving people to care for them. Keep warm and I told the storm to keep away from you. xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteMorning little maties. Well wot a busy, busy day. Glad to hear that Max and Oscar didn't have a taste of the ferrets. Pleased you enjoyed your swim and that little Eric enjoyed surfing. So happy to hear that Rufus is doing well and getting about with the ladies. Loved all the pictures today. Good job OTL came home alone cos I don't know about him but spiders frighten me. I've got to go on guard duty now, so love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper. Hope you all have a lovely day. xxxxxxxx
