We get into trouble, a little bit!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret returning again!

Well, this morning we rolled out of bed and headed off for a walk across the fields and for the first time this holiday the grass wasn't soaking wet! Normally we end up with wet tummies and jump all over the caravan shaking the dew off but today, bone dry!

Now that is a good thing as far as the ferrets are concerned 'cos their tummies sort of drag half an inch off the ground and they get very wet! Today, bone dry, so that means more jumping and running in the grass!

After all the job have been done we loaded up the car with camera stuff, said good bye to The Missus, (who was inspired to make a card or two), and headed off to Corfe Castle a few miles down the road.

We arrived just as three coaches had off loaded thousands of Mini Two Legs, all clutching clip boards and bits of paper with questions on that they had to answer before they would be allowed back on the coach!

We looked at Old Two Legs and he looked at us, then we looked at the MTL's and then we looked at OTL again.

'Shall we leave this until another day?' says OTL, 'Yus Pleese' says us and after a quick discussion, we decided to go back to Kimmeridge Bay and hunt Dinosorearses and stuff like that!

Now, as we had paid before and 'cos we are camping in their caravan site, we only have to pay once and all future visits are free, up to when we go home.

OTL likes that, 'FREE'

This time we asked if we could be let off the lead 'cos we couldn't get into too much trouble on the beach, could we?

We were lucky 'cos the tide was on it's way out and more of the beach was exposed and that means more rocks were exposed that had all sorts of old and ancient things like Nautilus Fish and Trilobites and bits of shells could be seen in the rocks.

Here be Dino Prints!
OTL was getting all excited, the further the tide went out the more rocks were visible and the more lumps and bumps could be examined and names given, not that we really understood what he was talking about but we tried to look interested and amazed at his knowledge of rocks with bumps on them!

and this one is about a hundred and twenty million years old, give or take a year or two!
Now, these rocks had water at the edges and of course I decided that it would be a good idea if I had a little splosh, just to test the water, as it were!

This water just loves a good splosh!
You know, even Holly Chops went in for some deep paddling after OTL let us off our leads!

As we went around the bay, OTL taking photos and us hunting Dinos, OTL stopped at a small water fall and said it looked 'picturesque', what ever that is, I mean, we have only just got to terms with ethereal and now he lumps us with 'picturesque'!

Well, it looks like someone left the tap on!
We got a bit bored and headed off to the slipway where they launch to boats and of course, there were loads of sniffs we just couldn't stay away from, especially Holly Chops!

When OTL discovered we were nowhere to be seen, he left his camera all set up and chased after us!

It was a good job there was no one around to pinch his camera but us woofers would have seen them off if anyone got close to OTL's toys!

We then walked all the way around to the other end of the beach where there was a notice saying we couldn't go any further 'cos of the army firing range!

The weather man says we will get some rain tomorrow, so I can see a day spent snoozing, reading, card making and chasing ferrets around the caravan!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Evening little maties. Wow, you've had a really nice day by the sounds of it. Glad to hear the weather has been a bit nicer and the grass was drier. I do feel sorry for the ferrets having to walk through wet grass, it's bad enough just getting paws wet but tummies as well ......... nah, not for me. Wot a shame all those mini TL's decided to go where you wanted to go on the same day, hope you get back there on a quieter day, one or two mini TL's is alright but coach loads of them ......... nah, not for me. Looks like you had good hunting down on the beach thingy though, is it a beach if there's no sand only old bones and rocks and dino footprints? Did you find anything interesting there? Are you bring home any relics? Glad to hear you managed a dip and Holly a deep paddle. Also good to hear that OTL wasn't robbed of more of his hard earned for parking. Is his cough any better? We all hope he is feeling better. Sounds like you've got a good day planned tomorrow if the weather isn't too good, but wot are Mrs TM and OTL going to do? Maybe they'll craft along with you and Holly. Have a lovely evening all, enjoy any muggings and paws crossed that the weather is good tomorrow. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxx

  2. The beach or rockery looks very interesting, hope you manage to find some souvenirs. Fifteen minutes makes all the difference because had you been earlier those MTLs would have been behind you. We were in the York museum when a coach load of children arrived, we stood back and they rushed forward and pasted us, we never saw them again, there coach had gone when we left. The weather looks iffy tomorrow but let's hope they are wrong with the water 💦. Take care of OTL, tuck him in well and keep him warm. xxxxxx
