Snow? Wot Snow?

Yo1 Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Hey! We were told it was going to get very cold and all manner of nasty's were going to happen to the weather.

Wot did we get?

A cold wind!

I mean, we were looking forward to rolling the ferrets in the snow and throwing Snow Balls at Old Two Legs and of course eating some of the snow, but not the yellow snow!

Clouds with sunshine poking through the clouds and a bit of a draught!

OTL has been busy today delivering stuff and having 'Meetings' and generally doing boring stuff!

Holly got into trouble, you see, OTL went out and left us to look after the place. Being such good guard dogs, Holly and I spotted a cat walking across the front of the house and we both jumped up at the window, unfortunately there was a net curtain between us and the window and Holly's claw got caught in the curtain and managed to tear it a bit, well, maybe a bit more than a bit, a big tear!

The Missus was not happy and told Holly off! Then, when OTL got back, she told him off as well!

It's good news that Archie Babes Grumbly Tum has got better. That Pro-Kolin is magic stuff, sets like concrete and dries in double quick time! Mind you, you have to be careful 'cos if you have too much you might explode!

Now, that would be messy!

Hey! Did you know that tomorrow is officially the First Day of Winter!

We have got our Flying Jackets ready in case the wind gets any colder and OTL is searching for his gloves.

The ferrets all have super fluffy coats but they still show off about going out in the wind! Holly and I reckon that they would rather stay in doors rampaging around the house instead of getting a cold blast up their tails!

It's OK for them, just think about us then, we are due for a trim soon, in time for Christmas and there is nothing worse than a cold wind blowing the wrong way when you got a 'Short Back and Sides'!

OTL is still on the salads and cold meat diet, so far he has lost 5Kg but he doesn't look any slimmer, his belly still sticks out and Holly says that it is bigger than Freddy's and Freddy is supposed to have a big tummy!

See you tomorrow, if we survive, Doggy Scoff again!

One good thing about tomorrow, we can open the first door on out Advent Calender, tasty or wot!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

OTL has a Surprise!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a freezingly cold, wind up yer tail day it has been!

When we went out this morning the ferrets refused to get down from Old Two Legs arms until we were 50 yards from the car!

Even then it was a quick dash and as soon as OTL stopped the ferrets ran back to him, jumped into his arms and told him to 'Hurry Up'!

They can get so demanding!

Lunchtime Wendy and Freddy refused to wake up or even get out from under the blanket where they were snoozing! So that was it, just us and OTL to brave the North Wind!

When we got back OTL had to go out to do some work at a customers place, checking their radio system. When he came back we gave him the 'Woofers Welcome' with a big wet licking behind his ears!

There was some other work he had to do but half way through it he got a telephone call from Nikon!

Seems they have run out of rubber covers for his camera 'cos it is so old and they have stopped making spares for it!

Oh dear! OTL was not a happy puppy 'cos that size camera was just right for sticking in the ferret bag when we go out walkies and it also fitted the astronomy telescope just right. So, after discussions with the lady on the phone, OTL found that they offer reconditioned cameras at 'reasonable prices'.

Now OTL is fond of 'reasonable prices' but the first couple of cameras he felt were not reasonable enough to tempt him!

So, down the list he went and found a camera that would do what he wanted and at a price that didn't make him cry, too much!

So, the lady has gone off to make sure they have a camera in the 'Reconditioned Stock' drawer and she will send an email later next week.

OTL says that it will have to be his Christmas Present for this year but he says that we can have a go with it if we are good puppies!

We got chicken today! OTL has been promised a curry tonight, so that should keep us all warm!

Tomorrow they are talking about freezing weather and ice and frost!

Mind you, it's not all bad, they didn't say anything about snow!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Getting ready for Winter.

Yo! Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Now we don't think that Mrs Sue was playing the game by reading out the Christmas Shopping List before Christmas!

We were trying to keep it a surprise for The Missus!

Now, we wouldn't think of letting Old Two Legs know that he has a new pair of gardening gloves for Christmas!

It wouldn't be fair!

OTL decided to keep the washing machine on order 'cos the old machine that we have had for in excess of ten years is making a noise like a jet engine on full throttle!

We are taking bets on it lasting until Sunday when OTL has to dismantle it and put it outside for the delivery men to take away.

Now that Winter is almost upon us, the ferrets are all getting their Winter Coats. Miss May looks like a big ball of squishy fur! Freddy de Ferret has just got fatter and his fur has got thicker. Wendy seems not to have changed yet, mind you, she has always been a bit 'Puddneney' !

Eric de Ferret has had the biggest change. He has put on a lot of weight and his tail is the most glorious black and thick with hair. His face has gone from a 'Dark Polecat' look up to almost a Champagne Ferret look!

Of course, we had Holly singing 'Champagne Charlie Is My Name' just to wind Eric up!

If it spreads any further I'll look like Miss May!
Nowadays, when ever we see Eric he has his nose inside the feeding bowl. The Ferret Hobs always get fatter over Winter, getting ready for the mating season when the fight for control over breeding rights! Mind you, as all of the ferrets have been 'Done' there is no breeding, just getting fatter!

Bit like OTL really!

Food just seems to taste better when the weather is colder!
Holly says that Eric could carry on and we could end up with a white ferret, just like Snowflake!

Only problem is, he doesn't have red eyes!

Do I look good or wot!
It seems to be getting colder all the time, you can tell Winter is coming, in fact, according to Holly Chops who knows all this stuff, Winter officially starts on December 1st, so watch out, on the first it could snow and we may even get icebergs in our pond!

Yesterday we got a big bowl of chicken but today it is back to Doggy Scoff, you know a woofer could stave if he had to survive on Doggy Scoff!

By the way, we haven't got the camera back yet, OTL has used the big camera indoors.

OTL has been looking at some Christmas Clothes but can't make up his mind on what to wear for the Christmas Card, so it looks like it will be us Woofers again!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Monday 27 November 2017

We are in trouble and so is OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

We have been working hard today, well, Old Two Legs has been and we have been keeping him company by staying out of the way and under his desk!

You see, yesterday we just happened to let it slip that OTL had got The Missus Christmas Present and it was going to be delivered soon. How were we supposed to know that someone would get in touch with TM via the Face Ache webby pages and let on that a new washing machine was due!

TM had words with OTL and sort of told him that she wanted a 'Surprise' Christmas present and not one that had been discussed and known about by all of her 'Mates' on Face Ache!

OTL hasn't said much today, well, he thought it was a good present but it looks like he was in trouble all the same.

We have now ordered up a new present for TM, in fact two presents!

We are not sure how he is going to wrap it up so you can't tell what it is but with a bit of packing from the Tesco plastic bags and some bubble wrap we should be able to hide it!

The second present we can hide by folding it up and putting it in a Tesco Plastic bag, she will never guess what it is!

Now, we don't want anyone telling her what she has got as it will spoil the surprise 'cos not everyone would gets a new ironing board and a silver cover for Christmas!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Sunday 26 November 2017

TM is Home, Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

It was funny last night, not enough room for us on the bed, The Missus was taking up too much room!

Holly and I got kicked off the bed twice and had to go into the office to get a snooze!
Old Two Legs was complaining that the duvet had legs and was trying to move over the side of the bed where TM was sleeping!

It was a case of 'Up Early' 'cos there was a 'Master Class' on at the village hall so in the early hours all the lights were on and TM was clumping about in the store room and marching up and down the stairs!

Yep! TM is back!

It was dark when we headed off to the beach and both Eric and May said it was just too cold and windy to have a run and stayed in OTL's arms until we got close to the car park when they agreed to run the last hundred yards or so!

Lunchtime we were back down the beach and again Wendy and Freddy said they didn't want a run on the beach 'cos the sand was too wet and cold and the wind was blowing in the wrong direction, like, up their tails!

Freddy did have a run across the football field with Miss Wendy leading the way back to the car!

After dropping us and the ferrets back home OTL took the car up to the hall so TM can load up all her stuff then he had to walk all the way back!

We were looking forward to some nice Crispy Chicken but when we looked in the bowl it was Doggy Scoff!

Yep, TM is Back!

We think that OTL is trying to get in TM's good books 'cos he has just ordered up a new clothes washer for delivery before Christmas, maybe it is her Christmas Prezzie!

Now, Archie Babe, I don't think it was a good idea to miss out on a plate of gammon that couldn't fly! I mean, in our house there is a Golden Rule, if it's on the floor then we get first dibs, unless there is glass on the floor that might do us harm!

Archie Babe, you are getting too slow! How's a woofer going to keep his strength up on these cold days?

We are off to watch the F1 Racing now that TM is back and OTL is counting his pocket money to see if he can afford a new pair of socks next week 'cos the current washing machine has a habit of ripping the heels off!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Saturday 25 November 2017

She's Back!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Last night we managed to get all the crumbs up from the carpet and Freddy found a carrot end under the chair Old Two Legs likes to use!

I found a Teeth Cleaning Chew up in bedroom, it looks like the ferrets tried to hide it in one of OTL's shoes!

He would have had a surprise if he tried to put his paws in there!

Holly still had a Grumbly Tum and she managed to get OTL up three times last night but today, after a Grumbly start seems to be OK. We were out early for a walk and there was frost all over the cars so we took the big car 'cos that warms up quicker!

The ferrets decided that they would rather have a cuddle than a walk on the beach so OTL had an arm full of ferrets and didn't bother with the camera!

Mind you it was still too dark to take a picture unless you had a tripod to mount the camera on!

After the cage cleaning we headed off to collect Zoe and Paul who have been in New York for the past week 'Christmas Shopping'!

It's alright for some, mind you it might be a bit of a problem if we all wanted to go, just think of the paperwork!

We went straight to Heathrow and picked them up and took them back to their house where The Missus has been baby sitting while they've been away.

After off loading all the cases the car then got loaded up with all TM's card making stuff that when it all got put in the car there was very little for Holly and I!

Finally we were off and back home. We got stuck in a couple of traffic jams which were caused be too many people out shopping!

In the end we drove just over two hundred miles there and back!

TM seemed happy to be home especially as she had some parcels to open up, (Card Stuff) and tomorrow she is off to a Master Class up at the village hall so we can settle down to watch the F1 racing with OTL and big bag of nibbles!

We are still waiting for the Nikon Engineer to get a quote together so we reckon the camera has another weeks holiday before it comes back to us!

Tomorrow OTL says we will try to get the 'Christmas Card Photo' done, trouble is, he hasn't any plan yet and the ferrets don't help 'cos they keep saying that they don't to share the picture with each other! They can be a real problem sometimes!

I suppose OTL will be looking for Christmas Hats or Scarves or even a cardboard box of pretend snow, now that will be fun!

See you all tomorrow, TM has just cooked our chicken, don't tell her but she doesn't do Crispy Skin Chicken not like OTL does!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Friday 24 November 2017

Friday and have we got some tidying up to do!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

After our week with Old Two Legs we have got to get the house back to a 'Normal' state. You see, we have been having fun sort of not doing much about the Bonio Biscuit Crumbs and the other bits of nibbles that have managed to find their way into the corners of the sofa and on the carpets and in the bed and under the pillows!

Holly managed to hide two Teeth Cleaning chews under the duvet but the ferrets found those and hid them in the bathroom where I found them and hid them under my cushion in OTL's office where Holly found them and stashed them under the stairs where Wendy found them and moved them both to under the sofa!

So, you see, we got a load of de crumbing to do!

Holly Chops has not felt very well today 'cos last night she enjoyed a carrot that OTL had skinned for her but overnight she managed to be sick in several places and now, not only has she got a Grumbly Tum but she also has a Grumbly Bum and we are almost running out of cloths with which OTL can clean her butt!

Holly is a sad looking puppy, but it hasn't stopped her chewing on my Bonio this afternoon!

I can see that she will be getting OTL up tonight so she can go for a wander up the back of the garden!

Many, Many times!

We have been out delivering this afternoon and we had to stop several times 'cos Holly needed to 'Go'. It was a bit of a problem when there was a load of traffic!

Tomorrow we collect The Missus and bring her back but we won't be getting too close to her 'cos she has picked up one of those 'Children Colds' they are the sort that the children pass off but seem to reduce grown ups to a snotty gibbering wreck for two or three weeks!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

How many colours in a Rainbow?

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Now, we have been so busy today. We were up early this morning, mainly 'cos Holly Chops had a dream where she thought someone was trying to break in the house so she sprang into 'Woof Off' mode!

There wasn't anyone really and Old Two Legs had to get up and have a look out the window and go with Holly downstairs to the front door which Holly thought had been ripped off it's hinges!

It was all quiet, so back to bed we all went but at four in the morning we didn't go back to sleep and instead we all took it in turn to tell jokes!

We were out early for our walk and it was a good job we were 'cos there was a storm cloud chasing a rainbow down the River Thames.

Now normally there are reckoned to be seven colours in a rainbow but, as Holly suggested, there were two others, Infra Red and Ultra Violet!

Hey says OTL, I've got an Infra Red camera and so he tried to catch it by clicking away when ever the rainbow got brighter!

Mmm, not exactly in your eye colours!
We carried on walking back to the car and the rain started to drip down and the rainbow came up a bit brighter and closer.

Still not mind blowingly interesting!
Further on, just around the corner from the car park it looked a lot closer.

On the left of the rainbow you can see a band.
If you look on the left of the rainbow you can see the red band and after that there is a darker band, Infra Red?

On the right of the colours you can see violet but we can't see anything else.

As a bonus, there is a second rainbow forming further to the right.

Exciting stuff hey?

We got home just in time for a delivery of stuff that had to be delivered today, so we all piled into the car and set off to South London.

After delivering it all we headed back home but stopped off at Purley Way where there is a massive grassy area next to what used to be Croydon Airport. OTL reckons he can remember watching the planes landing and taking off. Holly was interested in that and asked if the planes had two wings and a canvas covering over the fuselage and wings!

It surprised Holly when OTL said that he could remember some planes like that but mostly they were aluminium!

You know OTL is really old!

Crispy Chicken again today, OTL got the chicken bits out of the freezer last night!

We were glad to see that Archie Babe still has his butt!

Why do you have to give an arm full of blood before you have an operation? Can't be much good those doctors, our vets don't need spare blood, they just dive in and out and it's all finished in no time!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Wednesday 22 November 2017

Pheew! It's getting warmer all the time!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Have you noticed how warm it is? We all had to stop for a drink in the car on the way out and the way back!

That includes the ferrets as well!

Miss May has been playing with the settings on the camera and now reckons she looks like a 'White Beach Shark'!

It's a May Type White Beach Shark!
Poor Eric looks just the same really, you see he doesn't really reflect too much Infra Red light and ends up looking like a Teddy Bear in Soft Focus!

Back home May decided she would head off to the sofa for a snooze while Young Eric played 'Chase The Ferret' with Old Two Legs. It's a game where OTL grabs Eric as he rushes past and turns Eric onto his back and tickles his tummy, which makes Eric laugh his tail off!

Then, when Eric is allowed up, he rushes over to OTL and 'Bong's' his nose on OTL's arm and runs away again!

They both think it is a great game and it goes on for about thirty minutes until Eric get too tired and hides under the sofa or OTL has to answer the phone 'cos a customer wants to order something!

When Little Snowflake first arrived OTL used to take her to the beach and let her have a run around off the lead. He would squeak the rubber ball and she would chase him on the beach and once she got him, she would climb up inside his jacket and down his arms and fall out at his cuff's!

They both thought it a great game.

When Freddy heard this he wanted to have a game off the lead but he said he wouldn't chase after OTL!

The only problem is that nowadays there are too many woofers on the Sea Wall and a ferret on the loose might be just too much of a temptation for a woofer, especially some of the terrier type of woofers we see!

Maybe when we are on holiday and on that big beach and The Missus is around as 'Backup', we might have a go!

Until then......................

These leads don't 'arf rub on your nose!
Down on the mud flats we often see some Little Egret fishing for crustaceans and we wondered if the IR camera would do anything to its body, just like Miss May.

Unfortunately OTL only had a 35mm lens but when we zoomed right in on the computer there was no difference to the bird either through the camera or using our eyes!

Everything is affected except the bird!
We are really making little Piggy's of ourselves, as you know, yesterday OTL brought two packs of chicken bits and he has promised to cook them up today. Yummy! Crispy Chicken Skins again!

The only down side is that tomorrow we will have to have Doggy Scoff!

Still, it was good while it lasted!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Tuesday 21 November 2017

It's Crispy Chicken again!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

This morning there was a spectacular sunrise, it was almost a total coverage of red sky and a little bit of countryside.

It was so spectacular that Old Two Legs stopped by the side of the road and took a picture.

It was all glorious up till then, 'cos we just had to look at the result on the camera.

Wot a disappointment!
If only we had the normal camera! Still, we had to make do with a B&W Infra Red effort!

Down on the beach while OTL was trying to get Eric to have a run around instead of sitting on the sand shivering, Holly and I had a great time rolling about on the sand!

We just LOVE SNIFFS!
Back home it was snooze time while OTL played around on the computer trying to make it look like he was working hard!

Lunchtime the temperature had climbed a few degrees and even Freddy had got down from OTL's arms for a run along the beach.

Miss Wendy was having a good time digging holes in the sand and chasing Freddy!

OK, where is that big lump of a ferret, I want to bite his tail?
The tide was in and the sea was it's normally grey and brown looking but using the IR camera you could pick out the sea weed that normally we would not have seen!

Is that Sea Weed or Ice Bergs?
Miss Wendy got fed up with chasing Freddy and started on OTL! She would come running up and jump onto his boots and start climbing up his trouser leg!

Can you imaging what he would say if Holly and I did that?

Quick, gissa leg!
OTL went shopping today at the local Co-op and half way around remembered he didn't get the chicken out of the freezer, lucky for us there were some packs of chicken bits in the chiller so Holly and I are guaranteed chicken today and tomorrow, which is better than that Doggy Scoff we had the other day!

Now OTL has worked out how to do Krispy Skin Chicken Holly and I are really looking forward to our meal tonight!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Monday 20 November 2017

Freddy gets Stabbed and we see another Strange Bird in the garden!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We had a super snooze last night, The Missus is off baby sitting and there was no bouncing or snoring or getting up a three to make a card!

Old Two Legs didn't move nor did Holly Chops and I'm sure I never moved either!

Well, I woke up in the same position I went to sleep in last night!

Down on the beach May and Eric decided that it was just too wet and the rain wasn't as comfortable as cuddle in OTL's arms!

Come on, let's rush him and crawl into his pockets!
Back home OTL cooked our chicken and even managed to make the skin all crispy!

Holly and I finished both bowls off in no time!

With full tummies there was only one place to go, up to bed!

We woke up at lunchtime ready for our run down on the Sea Wall and as the tide was in both Freddy and Wendy decided that it would be fun to have a paddle in the sea!

Freddy getting ready to dive into the sea!
Freddy ran down the beach but stopped just before the water came crashing up the beach! Freddy put his brakes on and managed to keep dry, except for his paws!

It's not as cold as it looks!
Back home we had half an hour before Freddy was due to see the vet and as we headed into the kitchen for a nibble from the biscuit bowl we spotted a Sparrow Hawk sitting on the fence looking for the birds that gather on the feeders in the garden!

Before we could get the camera our he had flown away.  Freddy called out that there was another bird by the pond and he called it a Frog Hawk 'cos it was looking for frogs!

Freddy doesn't get out in the garden too much so we had to explain that what he saw wasn't a real bird!

Freddy's Frog Hawk in Infra Red!
OTL did a bit of Fiddly Diddly and turned the picture into an Infra Red B&W photo!

Even after a bit of Fiddly Diddly it still looks cold!
All those leaves were a yellowish orange colour but in IR we wouldn't know!

Well, Freddy got stabbed and the vet says he need not come back for another three years! Lucky Ferret, Holly and I are still on the yearly dose!

Miss Wendy went with Freddy to hold his paw in case he got scared but after a slurp of Ferretone he didn't even feel the injection!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Day of Running Around!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here.

We have had a busy day today. You see The Missus is off for a weeks baby sitting and rather than drive herself she told Old Two Legs he had to take her!

Something about not liking motorways or getting lost in the back roads!

This means that we had to get our walks done at double speed and that is not good when your trying to have a wee!

We are still playing with the Infra Red camera and getting some really strange results!

How about this one?

Miss May looking like Snowflake except for her eye!
We tried to get Eric to change colour but he just stayed all B&W no matter how we tried!

Back home it was all rush and tear to get the cages done before heading off to the motorway.

Now, as normal, the back of the car was stuffed full of card making gear with just one small bag for a change of clothing. Is she going to do washing of her 'smalls' every day?

When we arrived there were the three monster woofers charging around, so OTL left us in the car while he unloaded everything. Then it was our turn to get a walk in the park for a wee or two before heading back home.

We got home in time to collect Fred and Wendy for their lunchtime walk but Freddy was more interested in staying cuddled up in OTL's arms 'cos he was a little cold!

Down on the beach OTL took some more pictures and this time he had a little fiddly diddly on the computer but not enough to set the world on fire!

No Fiddly Diddly!
Looking out to sea there is no Infra Red being reflected of anything so it all reverts back to B&W.

Wot? No IR?
Today it has been Doggy Scoff, not exactly the meal we wanted but it filled a hole and we may survive until tomorrow when there should be some chicken!

Off to bed now, the eye lids are feeling heavy and we are in need of a cuddle with OTL!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Seriously Lazy Day!

Yo! Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We love Saturdays, Old Two Legs leaves all his bits of paper and the 'Work Computer' alone, cleans the cages out early and spends loads of time playing with the ferrets. Holly and I get a chance to catch up on our sleep by taking over the whole of the bed, stretch out and wrap ourselves in the duvet!

So today it has been a 'Nothing Day', you know, no work, no customers, no suppliers and OTL gets robbed every time he gets near to any nibbly type food. You know, biscuits or chews or a Marmite sandwich!

It will be a week or two before we get the camera back from the Service Centre, so it is all Black & White Infra Red!

Today we have not done any fiddly stuff to the pictures, these are just as they come out of the camera, except that we have cropped them for size.

What is interesting is the first shot of Sheerness docks comes out in B&W and shows no sign of Infra Red rendering.

Sheerness Docks on a chilly November morning.
Next shot is of Miss May who is officially a 'Silver' coloured ferret but the Infra Red makes her to be almost an Albino, except for a tiddly bit of black hair between her ears!

I know it's a bit fuzzy, it was cold and we were shivering!
On the beach it looked really cold, I mean, real Artic type of weather and the Infra Red picks out the plant life and the shells on the beach and turns them white.

Then it picks out the IR in the sky as well!

I don't care, it still looks like snow and frost!
The water is normally a sort of grey and brown colour but the IR picks out the reflection from the sky making it look like a reddy brown colour.

Looks more like the colour of OTL's tea!
Really, IR comes into it's own on sunny summer days and it all gets exciting but as it is nearly Winter we will have to get our thinking tails on to make it more interesting!

We heard OTL on the phone today to the vet, Freddy is due to get his Distemper Jab on Monday and OTL says that he will have to take the Ferretone with him 'cos the last time he was stabbed the vet had difficulty getting the needle through his tough skin!

An armour plated ferret!

See you all tomorrow and with a bit of luck it will be another Seriously Lazy Day!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Infra Red and Frost!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Do we have red muzzles or wot?

You know that parcel that arrived sniffing of Archie Babe? Well, it's not a prezzie!

We have been told that it is a Woofer Advent Calendar!

So, Thanks Archie Babe and we will be lining up on the first day of December to open the first door!

Now, we told you about Old Two Legs camera, and today he dug out the Infra Red camera and he has been trying to remember all the settings!

Well, it,s different!
First thing this morning there was a layer of frost everywhere and the windows in the car were all covered with ice!

Even the Sea Wall is cold!
With the Infra Red camera all the green grass looks white and frosty but the grass was really frosty, In fact May and Eric didn't really get down from OTL's arms until we were up by the bench on the hill!

Do you think it will warm up by lunch time?
Back home there was a big bowl of chicken which we soon demolished and went off for a snooze while the ferrets had their morning rampage.

At the lunchtime walk the sun had come out and the frost had disappeared but the camera made it look like the there was loads of frost still around.

Little Wendy on 'Frosty Sea Shells'
Freddy stayed cuddled up in OTL's arms until we got back to the football field then he got down for a run on the grass.

Freddy doing his exercise!
Holly and I went off sniffing the field and even though the frost had gone, when we looked at the photo it made us feel cold!

Just wait until the snow arrives!
Being Friday we decided to finish off early and get all the stuff down the Post Office and the carriers.

If the weather is kind to us we plan to do some gardening with OTL 'cos he has got to finish off the 'Wild Life' patch at the bottom of the garden. There is also all the leaves to clean up as well.

See you tomorrow!

OTL has his Teeth Sorted!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Now, there are times when life is just soooo good that you just got to have a dance and a race around the house!

Today it was the ferrets turn and the pair of them came flying out of the cage chasing each other around the office, jumping on each other and chuckling their tails off!

Gotcha!
Down on the beach the tide was in but it was rather gloomy out to sea. Although there was not a breath of wind but it was still gloomy!

Not exactly spectacular!
Back home we settled down to a snooze while the ferrets got sorted out.

We decided to go out early at lunchtime 'cos Old Two Legs had an appointment at the dentist which will be expensive and painful!

Miss Wendy was interested in the rocks especially as the tide had come in!

This is seriously wet!
Holly Chops wasn't interested in the water but she did go tearing up and down the beach!
Look at me, I'm flying!
We got back home in time for OTL to head off to the dentist and yes, it was both painful and expensive!

Poor Lad!

Now, while he was out the postman called with the letters and a parcel! We had a good sniff of the parcel and Holly declared that she could sniff Archie Babe!

We decided that the parcel was too small for Archie Babe to hide in so we had to decide what it was.

The Missus said that it was going to go under the Christmas Tree and we were to leave it alone until then!

Christmas Prezzie already?

Holly and I spent most of the afternoon sniffing the parcel and trying to guess what was in there!

OTL packaged up his camera that he takes out every day, it is going back to the manufacturer, Nikon, to get it serviced and some minor repairs.

He always uses this camera 'cos it is small and easy to use especially when you have two ferrets to control and still keep an eye open for other woofers who may want to eat a ferret!

So, the camera is all packaged up and ready to go off and the only other camera the same size is one he had changed to produce Infra Red pictures, so watch out tomorrow, it's B&W and Infra Red as well!

Could be interesting!

See you all tomorrow!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A 'Hole' Lot of Fun for Miss Wendy!

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

You will be pleased to know that last night we all had a good nights sleep.

No Star Gazing!

This morning was just super down on the Sea Wall, almost no wind, in fact it was rather pushing it to call it a breeze!

Barely a breeze to ripple the Water!
Old Two Legs had his big coat and his 'Old Duffer' hat on and he found that half way around he had to stop for a rest as it was getting too hot!

Holly and I had fun on the beach, I dug a hole while Holly decided to do some sun bathing, only the sun wasn't out and all she got was a sandy nose and stern words from OTL for getting sand near to her eyes!

Get up or you will get Conjunctivitis, again!
Not that she took much notice!

Back home we could sniff chicken cooking so we were in a good mood, especially as yesterday it was Doggy Scoff!

Lunchtime down on the beach Miss Wendy beat us to the hole and she set about making it into a Ferret Hole that she could curl up and have a snooze!

I'll make this into a Proper Hole!
Unfortunately, OTL couldn't hang about and we had to leave and head for home 'cos he had some shopping to get!

Holly and I decided that it would be too boring just sitting in the car while he had all the fun!

Mind you, we had some fun searching under the sofa for the biscuits the ferrets left behind this morning!

Looking at the sky, all we can see is cloud, so I don't think OTL will be Star Gazing tonight!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

How to Star Gaze OTL Style!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Now, have we got a story to tell you, and it didn't happen today either!

You see, OTL purchased a telescope for looking at the stars with the intention of taking photographs of the planets. However, when he wants to look at the sky, there are clouds everywhere so he can't see a thing! He has taken it away with him on every holiday and every night it has been cloudy!

Back home it has been the same, loads of cloud and when there has been stars, everyone has had their bathroom/bedroom lights on and stargazing has been totally wiped out!

Last night there was a clear sky and only two neighbours had their lights on!

Nine fifteen arrived and The Missus starts heading for bed while OTL is assembling the telescope and attaching the camera to the adaptor port!

He sets up the scope on the patio, points it in the correct direction and switches it on.

It was then that he found out that the battery was flat!

A quick rush up to the loft resulted in a mains power supply and a lead that he used for his Amateur Radio stuff all working on 12v dc as required!

So, allowing for his eyes to get accustom to the dark he peered through the eyepiece to see........nothing!

The cloud had arrived and hidden all the stars!

OTL was not a Happy Woofer!

So, he hung about for a while and out came the stars but by the time he had set up the scope again....the clouds came back!

At that point he got fed up and started dismantling the setup only to find as he got close to taking the scope off the tripod, the stars came out again!

There he was assembling it all again and he got to look through the eyepiece and saw a star, just before the clouds came back and covered the stars!

By then he was a Cold Woofer and decided that he had enough of star gazing and went to bed.

That was at midnight!

We were late in getting up this morning!

No sunrise, just clouds!

Down on the beach we had missed all our normal mates and there were some woofers we don't see too much, mostly noisy woofers who spent all the time yapping!

Just look at those Bozo's!
Miss May had fun digging on the beach and even chased Eric down to the water edge but he got all wimpy and rushed back up the beach when a wave washed over his paws!

This is how it's done!
Miss May was showing him that if he stood just a couple of inches back the waves wouldn't make his paws wet but by then he was half way up the beach and heading for the grassy path

Talk about Eric the Brave!

Look, they can't get you here Eric, Eric, where are you now?
This afternoon it was all manufacturing and then delivering and then off to the carrier, so Holly and I made use of the time had went into the office, curled up on our cushions and enjoyed a super snooze!

We are not sure what OTL is going to do tonight, it will all depend on the clouds!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Chilly around the Haircut!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

You can tell the Winter is on it's way, Old Two Legs was all wrapped up in his new coat and he had a scarf wrapped around his neck and his warm woolly hat on 'cos this morning it was blowing in from the North!

The sea looked all dark and grey and the waves had white horses riding on their shoulders!

Mucky water from The North!
Eric was enjoying himself, playing 'Hunt the Nargle' in among the rocks on the beach.

What was that? I'm sure it was a Nargle behind that rock!
We were glad to get back home 'cos that wind was definitely getting places where it was not wanted, especially when the wind was blowing from behind!

It was at times like this that I wish the haircut had been delayed for a week or so!

Back home Auntie Shirley had arrived to play 'Glue Slapping' with The Missus so we left them to it and headed up stairs to OTL's office to have a snooze before the lunchtime walk arrived!

The tide was out when we got back to the beach and Holly spotted a load of Two Legs out on the mud half way towards the Fort.

We couldn't see what they were doing and it was too far away for OTL's little 35mm lens, even after zooming in on the camera!

Holly says that they might be digging for worms or the local TV station might be doing some interviews about the Fort!

We were guessing  and OTL said that there was no way he was going out to see what they were doing!

Maybe they were hunting Nargles?
Freddy and Wendy decided that the whole thing was just too boring and headed off back to the car!

Out of my way, here comes a Ferret!
TM has been trying out the Dehydrator again and has dried some Kale, problem is, it's like eating dry grass! Next time she will try getting some larger leaves and slosh on some more Black Pepper and Lemon Juice, just to see if that gives it a bit more 'Bite'!

So far the apple is OK and The Pear is good and the Orange is great, next it will be a Banana sliced up, not sure if she will put on any Black Pepper though!

Us woofers are all waiting for the Chicken Fillets we have been promised, we don't do Kale or Apple we'd rather have meat!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Poor OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Now, I know you want to know why we didn't blog yesterday.

It wasn't my fault!

Honest!

You see, Old Two Legs has been doing a bit of gardening and as he is now old and grumpy, he is not up to all this digging like wot he used to be. Yesterday it was a Two Co-Codamol day and after visiting young Rosie up at the village hall, he fell asleep in his comfy chair at home and didn't wake up until late, which normally would be no trouble but he has changed to password on the laptop and hasn't told me what it is!

I think it was because the ferrets tried ordering a ton of frozen chicken legs but it failed when they tried to use his credit card and found out he had changed the password on that as well!

Well, his back is still bad'ish and yesterday I got away with not having a shampoo & set, but that was yesterday.

Today is different!

Today I got washed, sploshed, blasted and shave to within an eight of an inch of my skin, well it feels like that!

The day started off well enough, we had a fun walk down on the beach, OTL clicking away at the sunrise that had finished an hour ago!

Looking for a sunbeam!
Little Eric wanted to know why it was still dark and Holly told him all about Neutral Density Filters and White Balance Adjustments but by then he had gone to sleep saying that maybe it was just because it was dark!

Why can't she just say it's dark?
Well, for a change, OTL got all the hair cutting stuff into the kitchen and set about hacking all my hair off in all my important places and there was no place he missed!

He was using the electric shaving thingy which was OK when he was working down my back end but I just don't like it around my shoulders and head and I must admit, I showed off a bit!

So, like last time, he went work with the scissors, trimming bits off hair off my legs and under my chin and on top of my head  and around my paws and my ears!

It took a while and he was even sneaky enough to get to trim my claws a little!

In the end I didn't look too bad and at our lunchtime walk I got him to take some pictures of me.

This is my 'Wind Blown' look!
Now, never mind Eric and his tail, just look at my tail!

Now 'This' is a Tail!
After the walk we got home to the second part of the fun and games, we all had the anti flea stuff put on our shoulders. All the ferrets and Holly and I.

That stuff sniffs horrible and the ferrets don't like it and neither do Holly and I, but as it keeps the nasties away we will have to suffer!

This afternoon we settled down to watch the F1 racing which is always exciting!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
