Didn't it Blow!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Now, normally when we are on holiday we are in some wild and woolly place in the Highlands of Scotland and of course we are expecting winds and rain and snow and stuff like that. Down here in sunny Dorset we were looking forward to some warm sunshine and balmy breezes!

Last night when we went to bed there was a little rain tippy toeing on the caravan roof, a gentle sound to lull us off to sleep.

Then it started, the wind started slowly then sort of built into a howling blast that rattled the caravan and pounded the awning. Then the caravan started to sway and the wind was trying to lift the satellite dish from its flat 'Parked' position and send it off into the sky!

Luckily for us it stayed on the roof but it was beating up and down like a large cymbal!

We didn't sleep too much and both Holly and I cuddled up to Old Two Legs to keep warm and safe!

When the morning arrived, the wind and rain had gone! We were all still hear and OTL said that he had enjoyed his 'Two Dog Night'!

The internet didn't come back until mid morning but by then we had been out for a walk in the field with the ferrets, chasing pheasants!

Not that we caught any!

They went this way!
Mind you the field is big enough to get lost in and once off the lead we could do some serious running!

OTL was wandering along with his camera but we didn't see any of those pheasants but of course, we could see the caravan and The Missus inside having a snooze!

Ours is the one with the satellite dish poking up!

Look, there is TM!
On the way into the campsite we passed a door to a 'Hidden Garden' and of course OTL says he is going to take a picture using his 'Tilt/Shift' lens but today, just to see how it looks in the sunshine, he produced this master piece!

Well, it looks just like a wooden door to me!
The army ranges have been busy since we arrived and for most of the day they have been booming and rattling away with their guns doing wot army types do,  make a lot of noise.

Luckily for Holly, the banging noise they make has not upset Holly, it's those nasty whizz bangs in November that get her upset!

Hey! Bad news for Archie Babe, getting taken to the Poodle Parlour without any prior notice, I mean, a woofer has a reputation to keep up and a good sniff is all part of it!

Tomorrow, providing the weather looks dry enough, we may get down to the sea where all the dinosaurs are hiding and who knows, we might even find a Nargle or two!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
