Monty is still off his food.

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Little Monty is still not back to normal yet. Old Two Legs has been trying to get him to eat some special stuff he got from the vet that should help make him feel better. The vet gave him two tins of the stuff plus two syringes.

Now, at first OTL was unsure of the syringes but last night he mixed up a bowl of this stuff, mixed with Royal Canine Convalescence powder and a splosh of Lactose Free Milk. Monty didn't want it, so, using the syringe, OTL managed to get a couple of tubes of the stuff down Monty's throat. He didn't like it and put up a bit of a struggle even though OTL wrapped him up in a towel.

This morning OTL tried a mixture of just the convalescence powder and lactose free milk and once again he struggled like mad trying to get it down Monty's throat!

OTL says that he remembers when he had to give Snowflake some medicine using a syringe but just after he squirted it into her mouth, she shook her head and both OTL and the Vet were covered in the medicine!

That was before we discovered Ferretone!

Yeah, we have tried Ferretone with Monty but he doesn't do Ferretone as much as the other ferrets!

OTL says that it may not be much but he is managing to get some down Monty's throat which is better that nothing!

Miss Wendy keeps cuddling up to Monty and giving him a sniff around his tummy and butt. Then the pair of them creep under the blanket and have a snooze while OTL mixes up some more powder!

It's strange how miss May just loves the stuff and can't get enough but Monty thinks it is poison!

We met up with Olly this morning and told him about Monty. Olly said that he sends his love to Monty and although he rather fancies roast ferret on toast for breakfast he understood about not liking the medicine!

What do you reckon a ferret tastes like, rabbit?
OTL was looking for insects but all he came across was this daytime moth, well, we think it is a daytime moth 'cos we haven't seen a butterfly like it!

Must get the book out and see what this is!
Lunchtime I had a bit of luck, there, on the ground was a brand new shinny tennis ball just waiting to be thrown. OTL spotted me sniffing it and threw it down the path for me. I got a bit fed up later 'cos OTL couldn't throw it that far, what he needs is the throwing stick in the caravan to get some distance!

I'm getting fed up with this, I need a good run not a trot down the path!
The Missus said that there were loads of messages on FaceAche wishing Monty well but as we don't have FaceAche on OTL's computer we can't see them.

Well, a big thank you to all who have send good wishes and mixed with our good wishes we are hoping that he starts eating again 'cos that will be a good sign!

Tomorrow Monty is off to the vet first thing. More news as it comes!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. Sorry to hear Monty isn't eating very much at the moment but I'm sure OTL will get some food into him until he decides he wants to eat himself. I remember not wanting to eat once, that was when I was very ill and was in the vets for a week but that was a long time ago. I'm sure that with Miss Wendy looking after him and OTL trying little and often that Monty might feel more like eating tomorrow, paws crossed. My mum showed me all the messages on faceache and there was a lot of them, some of them made my mum have a tear or too but it just goes to show how loved Monty is, well actually you're all loved very much but just at the moment Monty needs to know that lots of ladies and woofers are all wishing him well. That was a result finding a new ball today. Hope you didn't bury it and took it home with you. Smashing pictures today, that flutterby looks like one that might have escaped from Mrs TM's craftroom. Me and Alfie went for a walk early this morning but do you know, he embarrassed me again by pooing in the street, I pretended I wasn't with him so I walked a head of him and my mum, I mean, talk about being shown up. We went up the shop and Richard came out and made a fuss of us. Do you know Daisy that Alfie snores so loud it sounds like it's thundering. I spose that's because his nose sort of turns in instead of sticking out like wot mine does. And he's a copy cat, if I do a wee he has to do a wee, if I do a poo, he has to do a poo, mind I never poo in the street. Well I better go and get some scoff while he's snoring away, do you know when he goes to sleep nothing wakes him up. We're all keeping our paws crossed that things go well in the morning for Monty when he goes back to the vet. We'll be waiting for some news and we really hope there will be some very good news. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch, Alfie lodger and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  3. Sorry about Monty not wanting to eat, your OTL is a super hero and I hope Monty listens to the good sense of eating, it can’t be easy for OTL to have to be rough with Monty, good luck tomorrow. Pity he isn’t into Ferretone and yes I remember the vet and OTL getting a dose of Snowflakes medicine 💗. Good fortune finding the new ball, you must get the ball thrower out of the caravan so you can have a good chase. It is supposed to rain at 1pm so don’t say I didn’t tell you. Michael is going to mow the lawn in the morning he says so, Rain, rain stay away until the grass is mowed, please ..............
Take care of each other xxxxxx
