Wet, Wet and more Wet!

Wotcha Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

We had a bit of a disturbed night, loads of rain fell down and there were a couple of thunder bangs that woke us up, well everyone except The Missus who ignored all sounds and carried on snoring!

It was still raining when we were ready to go for our walk and we were not looking forward to walking in the ran!

The ferrets stayed in bed and refused to wake up!

Old Two Legs got soaking wet and Holly and I got severely wet but we can have a good shake so we were able to get home in a 'Damp' condition!

As you would expect, OTL left the camera in the car, so no dramatic sunrises, unless you like raindrops on the lens!

Today there is sunshine, followed by rain and sunshine and clouds and sunshine and rain!

I suppose the weather man will say it is 'Changable'!

Lunchtime we headed off again, leaving the ferrets fast asleep and just for a change, the sun shone!

As we walked across the football field we spotted some fungi!

Almost a Circle!
We headed for the woods and there, in the grass, almost hidden from sight was a..........

A Painted Grain Rock!
OTL picked the rock up and left it on the concrete post, at least you can see it there!

Nearly all the blackberries had gone, just the last few!
As the mornings are damp and the ground is a bit soggy, there seem to be more fungi poking their flowers up above the ground!

We will have to go down to the woods we used to go to when we were young!

The sky started to get dark so it was a quick run across the field as the sky got darker and darker.

Then the rain came!

It's wet again!
Back home the ferrets were still snoozing and Eric keeps looking into Wendy's cuddle cup and wondering if he should get in for a cuddle but then he bottled out and went back to his bed!

Poor Eric, all he wants is a cuddle!

Trouble is, Eric has got to learn to be a little more gentle when he joins Wendy in her cuddle cup!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. Well when I got up half way thru the night the sound of the rain was dreadful, I had to go and do a wee before my mum went to work. It's been mostly dry for the rest of the day. Lots of fungi down where you are and we've got fungi in the garden but I'm a funguy too. Why don't you do wot the ferrets do when OTL wants to go for a walk when it's raining, pretend to be fast asleep. Them ferrets aren't silly are they. Hope Eric gets a cuddle soon, everyone needs cuddles, I love my cuddles with my mum. Glad you found another rock today, my mum has been looking at them on faceache, there's lots of really nice rocks on there. I would have snaffled them blackberries if I'd seen them, I'm quite partial to berries. I've been in a bit of bother today, my mum tells me off for hiding under the throws on the sofa but it's such good fun, she can't see me and I can get up to things like pretending to dig a hole. Better go now cos my mum is about to dish up scoff cos I can hear the smoke alarm going. Have a lovely evening all, hope you get some decent muggings. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little (funguy) Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  3. The weather was changeable, we had wall to wall blue sky and sunshine before the darkness and hailstorm just managed to take the half dried washing in during the cloudy stage before the whoosh so stayed dry. Good on finding the rock, you must take one yourselves and see if you can find it again. I have seen some fungi this week with all the damp and warmth an ideal time. We want to go to Sheffield Park but we wonder if all the autumn leaves have fallen off, can’t decide. xxxxxx

    1. Sheffield Park is always beautiful, but I fear you may have missed the glorious colours after all the wind and rain we've experienced this week. X
