Didn't it Rain?

Eee-Up Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here.

There we were, all snoozy and tucked up in our beds last night when the Heavens opened up and a million or two gallons of rain water landed on us!

It was going all night long and it woke up the ferrets who showed off by kicking their poo pot around and that woke up The Missus who in turn woke up Old Two Legs and finally Holly and I were dragged from our slumbers!

This went on for most of the night and what was worse was listening to TM complaining to OTL, as if he could do anything about the rain!

The only good thing was that the awning stayed up and all the rain ran off the awning roof. Sometimes it forms big puddles in the awning roof and OTL has to go out in the middle of the night and push it all off!

When we finally got up, the ferrets were still a bit grumpy but they enjoyed scooting along on the wet grass, a sort of morning shower for them!

We went up on the Moor for our walk and there was loads of mist hanging about.

On top of t'Moor!
Holly and I enjoy our walks up there, loads of rabbit sniffs and Holly doesn't get stressed like wot she does in the fields down in the vales!

Oi! Come on out!
Of course, they didn't come out, they stayed in their holes until we had gone further down the path towards the bench we sat on the other day.

I had a good look at the stone and decided it was Iron Stone and not Sarcen, although it did have a pointy sort of top like the stone age monoliths!

OTL on the other hand looked back the way we had come and go the camera out again!

Looking Back!
TM had decided to do some cards, ready for her 'Master Class' this weekend in Stockton On Tees, so we left Inky Fingers to play and went for a drive across the Moors.

On our way back we came across this roadside cross, it looked like those very old crosses that you find in the middle of nowhere, however, this one was quite new and OTL gets out to have a look, and it was new, in fact it was made in AD2000 to commemorate the 'New Millennium' by the villagers of Rosedale!

AD2000
Dead Posh! Not everyone has a new cross in their village!

We went for several walks and OTL was inspecting the local fungi, one took his fancy 'cos it was small, about the size of a coat button, but it had hooks on!

Fungi with Hooks On!
Strange or wot?

OTL is out at the moment, sorting the ferrets out, it's time they came in for a Rampage around the caravan but Inky is still playing with her cards and we dread to think what will happen if they run across a wet card and leave 'Ferret Foot Prints' all over her card!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

  1. Oh dear, sounds very wet up there last night. I suppose OTL could have gone out an put a giant sponge on top of the caravan then that would have made the ferrets quiet and not disturb TM. Love the pictures of the lovely views, you and Holly and that lovely little fungi. I think ferret foot prints across TM's wet inky cards are the least of her worries, ferret poos on them could be worse ........ hmmm, she might get her hammer out then! Maybe inky fingers might try letting the ferrets run thru her brusho's and see what they come up with on her card, could be a master piece, I mean, there's elephants that do art work. Do you and Holly fancy having your tails dipped in paint and you could do some wagging and make a nice picture as well. Happy muggings tonight girls, hope the rain stays away, love, licks and wags from little Arch xxxx

  2. Love reading about your adventures and seeing your great photographs. Are you staying on the CC site at Rosedale? We stayed there last time we visited Lynnda at OHS (ask TM). It's a lovely area and the pub at the top of the hill is great too. Enjoy the rest of your stay! Elaine xx

  3. I really don't think Lazy Sunday should influence you about those Brusho's, picturing the scene of complete mayhem and ink everywhere in the caravan not just on four tails. No, no, no....
We only had a sprinkle of rain about 10-30 am this morning so now I know where it went, still it freshened up the Moors and the photos were beautiful, love the little spiky fungi and so pleased that Holly is happy walking where you were today. Keep on adventuring..... xxxxxx
