Olly Glocks and Showers

Hello Woofers!

It's me again!

We have been having some fun today. Old Two Legs has been set a task that just goes to show how his brain works!

We have an electrikal shower that he and The Missus use every morning and I also get to use when they catch me every six months or so.

Well, it has been working for the last couple of years with no problems until a few days ago when OTL had to replace the 'Engine' or the insides, which he did over the weekend. Then somehow TM managed to set off the Pressure Valve Device which normally means a new 'Engine'.

A new engine would cost around £135.

A new shower in total would cost £230, TM would like this option!

Then there is the valve replacement which cost £11.50!

You can tell what one OTL favoured!

Just to be on the safe side, OTL ordered up a couple of valves, one for now and one spare.

He then noticed that the supplier has their works just a few miles down the road. So, on the old 'dog and bone' to see if he could pick it up today. The answer was no, cos customers aren’t allowed inside the works.

It's an insurance thing! Gawd save us from 'Jobs Worths'

So, if the gods are with us, the valve should arrive tomorrow or the day after or even the next day after that, if the post is slow!

OTL decided to dismantle the shower to extract the valve ready for when the new valve turns up.

In doing this he found the valve could be repaired and set about working on the valve and by the end of the afternoon we have a working shower that could have cost us £0.00!

What we have is two spare valves that will now be stored in the loft awaiting the next panic!

In between all of this we have been out walking along the sea front enjoying the mild weather.

OK, it’s mild and the wind has dropped but sometimes I miss the red sky and clouds of the sunrise!

All the frosty sniffs have gone leaving everything with a grassy sniff!

At lunchtime we like to watch out seeing what ships are going in and out on the tide.

Today we spotted a big motor yacht heading out to sea. I thought it may belong to one of those Olly Glocks that are having all of their toys taken away from them!

I wonder how many showers that ship has?

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy.
