Miss May and a Grumbly Tum!

Hi Ho Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We had a bit of a scare this morning, Miss Wendy was retching a sort of foamy mucus that we hadn't seen before!

There was no blood in it nor was there any signs of half digested food.

Old Two Legs had his 'Worried Look' on and as soon as the vets opened, got an appointment for five to nine!

That early appointment means we have to go on our walk with The Missus! The wind was blowing and the tide was right in. The waves were crashing onto the beach and I decided that I wouldn't have a swim today!

Holly just sat on the sea wall watching the waves crash on the shore and throw all the sea shells about!

While we were watching the waves OTL was heading down to the vet with Miss May.

She got weighed, pushed, poked and listened to with a stethoscope that was cold on her tummy!

Hair balls, and hard lumps and growths were ruled out and a cold or flu was also dismissed as her eyes were not weeping and her nose was as normal!

So, we are not sure what the problem is and the vet has suggested that we isolate her in another cage, monitor her food intake and take note of her poo and wee!

So, miss May has a bed of her own and Eric has got to sleep on his own!

Today was the day when OTL did a complete cage clean which took about four hours!

It was OK for May and Eric 'cos they were in the cages we use for when we go on holiday or to a show but Fred and Wendy had the run of the house and had a great time rampaging about!

Of course, too much running around makes a ferret tired and when the cage was ready for them we couldn't find them in all their normal hide a ways!

Then OTL had an idea!

Two Snoozy Ferrets!
We left them all snoozing at lunchtime and headed down to the beach again and this time the tide was right out but the waves were still as big as this morning, only a lot further out to sea!

We spotted a few of the Brent Geese on the mud again and Holly reckons we should have grabbed one or two for dinner tonight but as OTL is getting Venison Burgers, or Bambi Burgers, we stand a good chance of mugging some off OTL, so we will leave the geese until tomorrow!

Not as good as Bambi Burgers!
Miss May has been tucked up in her bed and the cage is down stairs on The Missus 'Computer Table' so that means TM is on Ferret Monitoring Duty while she slaps the glue around!

All the ferret bedding and stuff is being washed today and of course that means the ferrets will have to make do with folded blankets and doubled over cushions until the bedding is dry!

I think OTL will be looking at getting some more bedding!

We are off now to sniff out the Bambi Burgers!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
