Other houses get moths and flies and mosquitoes but not us!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Hey! Guess wot? .........................  It's been raining almost all day today!

Started as we were driving down to the beach, just a few drops of rain but by the time we got there the screen wipers were on all the time!

The ferrets didn't mind the cooler temperature or the drops of rain. In fact it sort of livened them up, especially Eric!

There we were mooching along the beach when a couple of soppy Yorkie Woofers came along the Sea Wall and both were very interested in the ferrets, especially as they were just under the wall!

'Ooh!' Says one of them, 'I could just fancy a ferret for breakfast!' Then he proceeds to stick his nose over the edge of the Sea Wall and looking down at Eric, who was looking straight up at this woofers nose!

OTL gets the camera out and was expecting to get a picture of a ferret looking at a woofer who was looking at a ferret.

Just as he was going to press the shutter release, Eric jumped up, mouth open, teeth exposed to do a maximum puncture bite!

Another centimetre and it would have been a  'Woofers nose for Breakfast!'

Wot the Woof?

OTL very nearly got the 'Shot of the Day' but instead that woofer got to save his nose for another day!

Back home we arrived back, a bit damp and soggy and while Holly and I got a rub down with a Doggy Towel, OTL was taking his boots off.

Out of the corner of his eye he noticed something that normally is not seen in doors.

It was a Dragonfly, resting on the curtain!

Now, just to show you how these Two Legs think. The Missus came running with a net she uses to pick up leaves and stuff from the pond.

OTL rummaged in his ferret bag for the camera!

This is known as a Migrant Hawker!
OTL reckons it had been playing in our pond and had flown indoors when TM left the door open to the garden.

After the first flash from the camera it started to move, we reckon he didn't like bright lights, so we opened the window and off it flew, looking for the pond again!

We have zoomed in and this is what it looks like close up.

The white bit in his eye is OTL's flash on the camera!

OTL said he would have liked to spend some time photographing it but it didn't hang about long enough!

Now that is the first time we have had a dragonfly inside our house, normally its butterflies or moths, still, it makes a change!

Lunchtime it was still raining and we didn't hang about too long and OTL didn't take the camera out 'cos it was too wet!

Holly spent the afternoon sitting by the window and watching the pond area seeing if the dragonfly had come back.

So far, nothing!

That's it for now, with a bit of luck the rain may stop tomorrow and we can go hunting lizards along the Sea Wall again. We have seen three but they move so fast that OTL hasn't managed to get a shot of them yet. He will keep trying, and trying, and trying, and, well you know!

Trying!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
