Revisit the Old Golf Course.

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret back with you again!

It was a bit chilly this morning, there was frost all over the windscreen and we were delayed in getting going 'cos Old Two Legs had to spend time scraping the screen free of ice!

All this means that he missed the sunrise!

Just look, a cloudless sky and we missed it!

Mind you, the frost was still on the grass and that sort of sharpens up the sniffs!

Rabbit?

The only trouble is, once you have sniffed the frosty grass, it all sniffs the same after that!

Grass is OK but I'd rather OTL photograph some spiders web with frost on it, it just seems more spectacular!

Lunchtime we decided to go around the Old Golf Course. OTL has been doing some research on our village and has found that an Iron Age village was discovered in the middle of the golf course. It seems that the site was dug before the golf course was built and there was a pond next to it. After the investigation and recording the site was covered and the course designed so that it covered the village for future study.

The pond was filled in and a new pond dug away from the site.

Iron Age Golf Course?

I had a good sniff all around but didn't find any iron age stuff, just a few spots where someone has had a wee!

Now, could this be Late Medieval like wot the village church is?

OTL reckons he has links back to 1066 and all that and that his ancestors owned a big slice of the Hoo Peninsular but his attempt to collect Window Tax and first bash at all the virgins has fallen on deaf ears!

Well, he can dream!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
