Hello Woofers!
Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret with you again.
We were out this morning over the old golf course and almost all of the trees have been chopped down to make way for the static caravans planned to go on the site. Bit of a shame cutting down so many trees but with a bit of luck they may plant some replacement trees but in another spot!
The Missus had to go to the optician to get her glasses repaired and Old Two Legs had to drive her 'cos she couldn't drive with no glasses!
Well, that's what she said!
She also demanded that she be taken in the new car!
While we were waiting for her to get into the car, this normally takes at least twenty minutes, OTL was playing with the controls on the car. Today he found out how to engage the 'Sport Mode' which means he can use the flappy paddles to change gear plus the car had a bit more 'Get Up and Go'!
Actually, it went like the clappers!
We didn't go too fast and after feeling the extra zoom we dropped down into 'Eco Mode' which gave us fifty-six miles to the gallon!
I can't understand these TL's, for many years there were pounds shilling and pence, degrees were in Fahrenheit and petrol was in gallons. Then along came this decimalisation and it all went metric, except petrol in cars.
Petrol went over to being sold in litres but cars were shown as doing Miles Per Gallon. That means pricing petrol in litres makes the fuel look lower in cost, like one litre is currently £1.50 per litre and that is equal to £6.81per gallon!
Six Pounds Eighty-One Pence!!!!!
I think he will be staying in 'Eco Mode' when he uses the new car!
Down on the sea wall you could see the High and Low pressure. Looking South East there was a very big bank of cloud and then Clear Skies to the north!
Not so many birds on the mud flats either.
We met up with a couple of those Yorkie Types, one was all over OTL like a rash where the other wouldn't come anywhere near!
I 'aint coming any closer!
I must admit, I got fed up waiting and ended up having a rest while I waited!
If they went any slower, they'd be going backwards!
OTL sat on the bench as well and a Ladybird Bug landed on his leg. He was all out of breath having just flown across the field!
Which way to the forest mate?
Back home the ferrets were fast asleep in the cuddle cup, I've never known anyone to sleep as much as they do!
See you tomorrow.
Luv,
Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
