Hi Woofers!
Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.
In the ferret cages Old Two Legs has found that instead of using cat litter or stuff like that, he has found that paper kitchen sheets work just as well and are easier to scoop up all the poo. That is providing Eric doesn't scruff it all up and then does a poo half way up the cage wall.
Sometimes I think he does it on purpose just to wind OTL up!
Anyway, in his search for economically priced paper towels he ended up getting 48 towels from Amazon which he thought of as a good price.
That was until this morning.
The Tesco man delivered the shopping this weekend and looking at the roll of paper towel, it looked bigger in diameter that the ones OTL buys, same manufacturer, same packaging, except.
OTL pack says there is 210 sheets in the pack whereas the Tesco says there is 100 sheets in theirs.
Well, out comes the calculator and OTL works out that the Amazon sheet is priced at 0.0297 each and the Tesco pack is priced at 0.0137 per sheet, and that is without the 'Clubcard' special price!
That is just over double the price of Tesco!
I think I know what OTL is going to do the next time he is going to get some kitchen towels for the ferret cage!
Just for a change, the sun has come out and the wind has dropped. In fact, it was most enjoyable wandering over the fields and sniffing around the bee hives that have appeared this year.
Being a Sunday, OTL has been out clearing the weeds out of the brick drive and sweeping up all the moss that has been washed down from the roof.
He has even pulled the ivy off the wall in the back garden, actually, it is next doors ivy that is holding up the fence rather than the fence holding up the ivy but it's been like that for thirty years!
There is some ivy left on the wall and I reckon he will finish that off tomorrow.
The F1 racing was just a little boring, why? Well, what is the point of having a race that is decided in 'Qualifying' because there is little or no chance of overtaking on the track, so, you are hoping for a 'Red Flag' or to get in and out of a pit stop quicker than the car in front of you can get around the track before you can get out of the pits.
Seems you win or lose outside the race!
Monza next week and with a bit of luck it will have some racing and overtaking!
See you tomorrow.
Luv,
Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
