The Last Day!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well my woofers, this is our last day at Carradale and tomorrow we have to head off to Gretna for a Chinese Take away!

Well, that doesn’t sound too bad!

Back to today, being it’s the last chance I will get until next Spring I decided to have a swim in the stream especially as the tide was out. Old Two Legs was throwing a stick for me to chase and a couple of times I actually landed on the far beach!

I was having so much fun but in the end even I was a little cold, in fact, I was shivering my tail off!

Back at the caravan I got the use of two Doggy Towels to dry off and warm my slim body!

Looking out of the window it reminded of when we arrived, like, the Poo Bin was overflowing!

We have got to remember this beach until next year, mind you, the water around Grain can get rather cold as we get closer to Christmas!

So, we are going to have an early night and OTL has promised to go easy on the Single Malt tonight and only a small amount of Short Bread!

Both Eric and Wendy decided to stay in bed and wake us up early tomorrow!

So, nite, nite everyone!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Strange Skies!

 Hello Woofers!

It’s us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Up here in sunny Scotland we have had just two chilly days and one overnight bit of rain. Not bad for a September in Scotland. It normally is horizontal rain and six feet snow drifts!

Being so mild means the ferrets get loads more walks than normal when we are at home ‘cos then it is either too hot and not good for ferrets or too wet and that’s not good for ferrets or indeed Old Two Legs!

Up here they have had long walks through the long grass at the. Top of the beach and they have ferreted their way all along the beach!

The only down side is that they are so worn out by the time they got back that they headed for the cage and went to sleep for hours!

Mind you, that leaves us with more time to search for the chicken strips they have both hid around the caravan!

Now, we had a strange thing happen yesterday after doing the blog, the sky turned all very strange, what do you think of it?

Now there is a rainbow picking up the reflection of the sunset on a bank of cloud containing loads of rain!

One of the best places to have a snooze, until The Missus kicks you off and pinches the blanket back again!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Lazy Days are here!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret back with you again but without any photos, sorry.

Old Two Legs has been trying to get down loaded from the camera, processed on a laptop running Windows and then passed onto an iPloddicus like wot we are writing the blog on at the moment.

He hasn’t been able to make it work and he is now calling all the computers rude names!

Mind you, us woofers don’t really care cos we get to go out and wee all the way along the beach and back again!

It has been all sun shine and clouds today, not much rain at all.

Eric has been trying to slide all along the caravan on his butt but is still getting carpet burns and when he tries to do it using the doggy towels he gets all in a knot and Miss Wendy gives him a punch in the ear cos he rolls on top of her!

Holly and I are normally on the bed keeping out of the way when she does this cos we don’t want her to pick on us and any way it would be too dangerous cos getting too near her tail will make her turn around and bite us on the nose and as OTL says, you mustn’t get into an arse kicking contest with a porcupine!

Holly and I are’s too sure what a porcupine is but it sounds like we shouldn’t get too close!

Yesterday we headed out for a ride along the coast and went passed Skipness Castle, which was miles down this very narrow road. Well, we got to get out of the car twice for a run down on the beach and a paddle in the stream running into the sea, even Holly got her paws wet!

Well, when we got there OTL saw the price of getting in plus the sign that said ‘No Dogs’ and said they could stuff the castle! He looked at the map and decided to carry on past the castle and on to the end of the road which didn’t  go anywhere. OTL thinking it may end in a car park and a path to the beach, slowly made his way down the road only to be met at the end by a gate which said ‘Private and Sod Off’!

Well it didn’t have any notices there saying that but if there was, that’s what it would have said!

There was a big garden with close cut grass and big pretty flowers which all looked very private an sod off!

So we did!

We have several more stops on our drive along the small road and stopped for more paddles and wee’s!

When we drove through Campbeltown OTL spotted that the distillery was open, so, screaming to a halt in a cloud of burning tyre rubber, he left us in the car and rushed into the distillery sales office to purchase two bottles of their finest twelve year old single malt whisky!

Last night and we suspect that tonight, we won’t be getting too much conversation out of OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Rabbit Hunting.

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, today this iPloddicus thingy refused to log onto the wi-fi on the camp site and refused to talk to any one!

Still, not to worry, ‘cos Holly and I played a game on Old Two Legs. There he was all laid back and snoozy and half way through a snore we jumped onto him and gave his ears a good licking!

That is our way of saying we wanted to go out for a walk on the sands. However, as soon as we got out we caught the unmistakable sniff of rabbits close by. Well, Holly and I haven’t sniffed a rabbit for a month or so and to get a sniff today was a treat and a half!

So, we both plunged into the undergrowth while OTL carried on walking down onto the beach where he stopped, turned around to see where we were.

No Holly and Daisy!

So, back he comes to find out where we had gone only to find us, nose down in the bracken! He told us to ‘keep up’ and marched us down to the beach where we raced on to the next path that leads up to the bracken and we were then found, again, nose down in the bracken again!

We got shushed back to the beach where we got instructed on which direction we should proceed, like down the beach.

That was it, we turned around and headed back to the caravan, well, it had started to rain and no one wanted to get wet, least of all us!

It has been windy, wet and cloudy all day today and as we said, the wi-fi has been intermittent so today it has been all snoozy. Mind. You, the ferrets got a walk along the beach and Eric managed to get two runs before the rain came down again.

Tomorrow OTL said he may take a drive along the coast road, just to see what’s new and we may even stop to take some photos of us on the beaches, providing of course there are not too many Two Legs making sand castles!

OTL has an idea that he may be able to download some photos onto the iPloddicus via the charging lead but he will try that after we manage to upload today’s blog!

OK wish him luck and we’ll see you tomorrow, providing he hasn’t blown up the iPloddicus!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret

Sunday in Scotland

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, we think we are here, the internetty connection is so bad that Old Two Legs is doing his crunch and keeps calling it names!

Nothing new there then!

Loved the new ZoooM game from Archie Babe, we would like to do that but the carpet wouldn't slide on our floor cos it's nailed down and all we would get is carpet burns!

Last night OTL was out with the camera again and he was trying 'stacking' which means he takes two thirty second pictures of the same thing but doesn't wind on the film, but digitally, if you know what we mean.

Well, the Milky Way wasn't a success, we reckon he needs three or maybe four thirty second bursts before he can get the stars to stand out. However, looking to the east, we got this shot of the sun coming up in the east not too long after it set in the west, well either that or we were getting the lights from Glasgow!

Still, it don't look too bad!

Today we have been lazy, The Missus has been crafting while Holly and I have been woofing at OTL to take us out for runs on the beach or swimming in the river!

3107

The ferrets have been out every morning for a run and when they get back from their walk they rampage around the caravan hiding the squeaky balls or fighting with each other!

3099

As normal, Eric is the biggest trouble maker!

3096

Holly and I are hiding up on the bed when they are rampaging about and every time Eric gets close we give him a good woofing!

3091

There have been times when Eric has climbed up the side of the bed and has been hanging on the blanket with his claws!

See you tomorrow, if the Wi-Fi is working!

I’m sorry but we have hit a wall, computer wise that is. For some reason our picture editing has fallen over and refuses to get up!

All we have is an iPod that allows text only, so, if you can do without pictures until we get home we can tell you tales of daring doing and stuff like that!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
