Hi Woofers!
Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!
What a horrid day, rain and howling winds from morning to night! Mind you, we are glad we don't live on the South Coast, we saw pictures on the TV of waves crashing over the harbour wall in Newhaven!
All we had was rain, light and wind from up the River Medway!
Mind you, what we did see was interesting. First of all, there were a couple of Buzzards flying over the sea wall and a few Barn Swallows who were too small to catch on the camera!
Buzzards we can handle, it's the Sea Eagles we have to watch out for!
Coming around the corner we met up with Barny whom we haven't seen for ages and ages! Old Two Legs got a cuddle and a stroke and us woofers all got a sniff!
OTL said that Barney was getting some grey around his muzzle and Barny said that OTL's hair was almost white!
We may be getting older but at least we are alive and able to get a sniff or two!
After we left Barney, we spotted that the Drilling Rig RAN had upped supports and was gone from Sheerness Docks! It has been in dock since last year, around June time, nearly a whole year!
It's almost a shame it's gone but at least we can see the docks again!
Now, about this time of the year we expect to see flowers and stuff like that but not Toady Stools but because of the damp caused by the rain, what did we see?
Toady Stools!
Mind you, there were some flowers looking all pretty and waving in the wind!
Daisies, pretty, just like me!
We saw a Robin gathering bugs from the trees to feed to its young but what we did notice was his bright red chest, OTL said it was his 'Nuptial Plumage' or breeding colours.
Do I look good or wot?
We will be looking out for other birds passing through our end of the world as they head up to Scotland. Just imagine seeing a Sea Eagle floating over the Thames!
See you tomorrow!
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
