Hello Woofers!
Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!
It's been a fun day today, loads of sunshine, a panicking Missus, a Fearful Frog and a speedy Hissing Syd!
Confused? So were we!
Let's start at the beginning. First thing this morning we set off for our walk across the football field, Eric was wide awake, so he fell out of bed, got dressed in his harness and sat on Old Two Legs shoulder until he decided to get down for a walk at the goal posts. He started off slowly then gathered up speed and ran nearly all the way home!
Come lunchtime he was fast asleep cuddled up with Wendy and the pair of them were on their backs with their paws crossed, no walkies for them!
There was no swimming for me, mainly because it was low tide and all I could have done was swim in mud!
OTL only had his small camera and small lens but he did manage to get this shot of a Red Darter Dragonfly.
Looking at Me?
Back home we were just about to enjoy a snooze when we heard TM screaming her tail off for us all to come PDQ!
Now PDQ is akin to, (a) Kitchen On Fire (b) Knickers on Fire) (c) We are Being Attacked by Burglars!
So, out we all rush to see what she is doing. We get out in the garden to find her pointing to the Old Jar where we saw the back end of a Grass Snake sliding into the pond at high speed. It had obviously been scared by TM's alarm call!
It was here a moment ago!
Now we all thought it was great to have a Grass Snake living in our garden together with the Froggy's. That was until OTL said that Grass Snakes eat Froggy's and other amphibians wot live in ponds, maybe that is why we haven't seen the baby Froggy's of late!
Holly, being a nosy woofer went snuffling around the rocks at the side of the pond and found a Froggy hiding under a rock, too scared to come out while Syd was around!
I'm staying here until I feel safe!
Well, Froggy Chops stayed there all afternoon as well, he wouldn't come out until he had seen Syd slither off to her bed!
That was OK cos OTL could get a close up of Froggy's face!
We sat outside in the garden watching for an hour or so but there was no sign of Syd!
Holly and I will be keeping a close lookout in future when we go out for a wee in the garden!
See you tomorrow.
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
