Freddy de Ferret has gone to sleep.

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Such a sad day today, Freddy de Ferret has been slowing down over the last month  or so and yesterday he couldn't be bothered to get out of bed. We gave him lots of cuddles and made sure he was tucked up in his favourite cuddle cup bed.

Last night he went to sleep after Old Two Legs had said a 'Good Night' to him and all the ferrets.

This morning we found that he had slipped away.

We are all sad to see him go but at the age of six or seven he had enjoyed a long life.

He came to us with his sister back in 2015 and soon settled into enjoying himself.

Always one for a joke, Freddy would pretend that he was going to spend the day sun bathing on the beach!

Pass the Factor 35 please!
Freddy was a big lad who was never into rampaging too much, rather he would enjoy a slow stroll next to OTL as we walked along the Sea Wall and up the grass path.

Hang on, not so fast!
One of his favourite tricks was to pretend he had stubbed his claw and couldn't walk any further and the only cure was a carry from OTL!

Quick nurse, the curtains, it's just too horrible to look at!
Not know for his speed, Freddy made up for it in being a gentle ferret who would always have a cuddle with anyone who wanted to make a fuss of him.

Many a young child or sceptic mother would meet Freddy on his walk and be introduced to just how soft and gentle ferrets are!

Freddy is now buried in the flower pot cuddled up to his sister and the other ferrets who have passed on.

We are all going to miss Freddy but as OTL says, 'If we get lonely, we can always go down the garden and talk to him and the others!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
