Wot Is It and Can We Eats it Precious?

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, we are experiencing some 'Low Pressure', you can tell that 'cos the waves have gone!

No Wind, No Waves, Boring!
It was so boring that Miss May decided that she would have a little paddle.

Trouble with ferrets is that their legs are rather short in relation to their body, so, their tummy is close to the ground, which means they have to be quick whenever the walk over a bump!

Now, it also follows that if they are standing on the waters edge and a little wave arrives on the shore, they will in turn end up with wet paws and a wet tummy!

Yikes! It's Wet!
Miss May found out the wet way!

Holly and I know about things like that, so, unless I'm going in for a swim, we stay well back from the water!

No, just the same boring sniffs!
I had fun winding Old Two Legs up by asking if he could get some climbing gear so I can climb the Rock Wall!

A Harness, some Safety Ropes and Crampons?
I won't tell you what he said 'cos it's rude!

As we all headed towards the concrete stairs Holly and I rushed on to the grass and went into Serious Sniff Mode!

Eric and May came along behind but stopped on the stairs 'cos there was a little bird looking all cold and tired with it's head tucked under it's wing, fast asleep!

But wot is it Precious?
OTL had to hold back the ferrets who wanted to do the 'Chicken Taste Test' and this little bird didn't even know they were there, licking their lips!

In the end the bird woke up and fluttered a couple of feet away from two sniffing little ferrets!

OTL couldn't identify it but with the couple of dodgy snaps he had enough to go on for when he got home to look in the bird book!

Any ideas?
Well, to stop you all worrying, OTL reckons it is a Cetti's Warbler. He has often heard this little bird calling but never seen it in 'Real Life' so that is another he has ticked off his list.

Now, the next one he has to find is a Bullfinch!

Not that we've ever seen any down on the beach!

Hey! We guessed right, Izzy's third little woofer is called Jean Genie!

The Missus said the she would just love one to stay with us but OTL said that our pack is big enough thank you and we rather agree with him!

We can sniff chicken cooking down stairs so we are off!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Evening little maties down by the seaside. Looks like you had a pretty good time on the beach today. That little bird does look very tired, has it flown in from somewhere else or does it live here? I'm glad the ferrets didn't get to taste it. I've had a pretty quiet day today, I've been snoozing and cuddling with my mum when she hasn't been at work and snoozing and cuddling with my boy before he went to work. My boy is working all night tonight so when I get up in the morning, he should be coming home, so if I play my cards right, I might get double bubble in the snooze stakes. I wonder if Miss May has learnt her lesson about being too close to the cold water or if she'll risk it again. It's still a bit cold to get wet by the sea I reckon. Enjoy your chicken and have a good evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxx
