Hello Woofers!
It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!
Well, today has been a strange day. We have been doing our jobs, like guarding the house and woofing at the neighbours, growling at the cats and generally enjoying the warm weather.
Old Two Legs has been working his way through a big pile of paperwork, paying invoices and chasing customer who haven't paid their invoices!
Then there was the phone call to the vets to get me booked in tomorrow for some tests. OTL has got to get a sample of my wee for testing you see. I'm not as interesting as Archie Babe who gets his poo inspected!
Mind you, Holly has bee volunteered to be a model for OTL. You see, OTL has got fed up with the Poodle Parlour keep putting up the prices of our hair cuts so he has purchased a set of clippers, a whacking great bath that plasterers use when sloshing stuff on the ceiling!
He has a brush and a pair of scissors for trimming our whiskers. The only thing he hasn't got is an idea of what he is doing!
So, today he has booked up for a days 'Introductory Course' at the county Agricultural College wot teaches the students how to look after animals and drive tractors up and down fields!
The course isn't until October but he has made the booking and paid his fee!
OTL reckons now that it will take six or seven hair cuts to 'Break Even' and after that it is all profit!
When booking the course he was asked wot woofer he would be bringing and what breed? Well, he says he is bringing a Bichon Frise/Maltese Terrier/Wire Haired Fox Terrier cross and the Two Legs on the phone said 'WOT?'
It always gets them!
OTL says that if he can make a good job of Holly Chops then I should be no trouble at all!
After that bit of fun he then paid the Inland Revenue or HMRC as it's known nowadays, some more money prior to filing his Tax Return.
He hasn't exactly done his return yet but it is some where the top of the pile, so it won't be long before he gets to it!
The weather has been rather warm today so Wendy and Freddy missed out on the lunchtime walk, May and Eric went out with us this morning but said they would have rather stayed at home!
The Missus has informed us that there are some storms on their way in the next few days, well so the weather man says. We will have to just wait and see what happens!
As well as the pile of papers, OTL has been 'Engineering' today plus inventing a 'Special' for one of his customers. OTL is good at inventing things that the customers want, that is why they keep coming back!
Finally he has booked the little car in for some body work. You see TM had this discussion with a rock down in the car park near the beach. The rock says he has been there for years and he ain't moving for no one. TM says she had 'Discussions' with the rock and now there is a bill for loads of money that OTL has got to pay out, and the car is only just a year old!
OTL is not a happy puppy!
We are off to see wot is for dinner tonight, with a bit of luck we may get a nibble!

Evening little maties. Wow someone has had a busy day. All that dosh that OTL has spent, I bet he's worn out. Now hang on a minute Daisy, tell OTL he doesn't need to learn to drive a tractor to trim you and Holly chops, in fact it's quite easy. You just start at the top and work your way down. My mum might have to give me a bit of a trim soon cos I missed my appointment when I wasn't well last week. Mind I can make my mum give up quite quick, she gets back ache and all hot when she trims me cos I walk round in circles. Now you and Holly chops need to bite the tax man then maybe OTL wouldn't have to send in any of his hard earned. I wonder wot the person on the phone thought when they heard your heritage, I bet they thought we've got a VIW coming for the day. It has been very hot here today, so I've been taking it easy, I'm still convalescing so I don't want to set myself back. Now Daisy, wee is very interesting, it's as interesting as poo actually. There's colour, clarity, sniff etc. Poor OTL his wallet is going to be bashed again tomorrow. Now I've had a thought, he could take up some part time work doing woofer grooming then he wouldn't need to invent stuff or send invoices, cos they have to pay as they come for their trims. I hope Mrs TM gave that rock a good telling off. Hope the little car is all mended soon and back to being spick and span. Them rocks can be very stubborn things. Hope you enjoy your evening and hope the muggins are good. I've and appointment tomorrow to get my butt checked, so paws crossed they don't hurt me. ReplyDeleteSo it has been busy, busy, busy around Godwin Towers, OTL working and earning money while the tax man has been creaming the top off. Then TM has an argument with a rock causing the rock distress, a bit of rock rage, so she tried saying it was the rocks fault. So OTL has now gone forward with his cost cutting (do you get that? cost cutting) idea, oh well, I thought it funny! Tell Holly to keep very still while she is being experimented on, he had better take a series of pictures of her so that he gets the idea of what she is supposed to look like. The plasterers' bath, is it for standing in to prevent the blood spoiling the carpet? He could use it to catch a sample of your wee, the vet would like a bath full to be sure to have enough, it won't suggest marketing it as Eau de Daisy! Did OTL manage to put the person straight about your breed or did he just say to put down Poodle for ease! Good luck to little Archie and I hope the nibbles were good. xxxxxx
