More Fun with OTL

Hi Woofers!

D&H here again!

What a sunny day! On the way down to the Sea Wall we saw some blooms coming out on the trees.

There was Flowering Cherry and Hawthorn or maybe Blackthorn, but it looked good!

Holly had some fun running along the wall, chasing OTL as he tried to take her photo!

Quick! Focus!
We saw the Corvid family having breakfast and one had the contents of a whelk shell in her beak!

Even Holly said she would pass on that one!

Sea Food Breakfast
Holly said we should have our photos taken to show what super looking puppy's we are, so she just stood there and did her best 'Look at Me' pose and even curled her tail around as well!

Looking Good or Wot!
OTL got side tracked with the Sea Weed on the tree and stopped to take a picture. So, I didn't get my 'Special' picture taken 'cos I got interested in a super sniff in the bushes!

Still, OTL got his Sea Weed photo!

Sea Weed Again!
Lunch time we were back down at the Sea Wall and we saw some strange birds. You know, they only had one leg each!

I said it was a new species, OTL said that they were resting the other leg, Holly says that they were the Lesser Spotted One Legged Sea Chicken!

One Legged Sea Chickens!
All the way back home, Holly was talking about the correct way to cook a Sea Chicken. Also which was better, roast or fried or stewed!

OTL had to work this afternoon so we stayed in and had a cuddle with The Missus, nothing too strenuous, I mean, we have got to save our strength for this evenings snooze before we go to bed!

See you tomorrow!

It's a Squirrel Day Today!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again!

Seems like we are back to normal time at last, Old Two Legs didn't get up until seven thirty and by the time he got himself fed and washed, it was just before nine, a sensible time to take our morning constitutional!

We even had time to study those 'leaves' that the Two Legs hung the leaves on.

It was Sea Weed!

Sea Weed!
What a bunch of Plonkers!

One sniff will tell you that it's Sea Weed and not very clean Sea Weed either!

OTL played a game of Hide 'n' Seek with us, he jumped down on the beach and poked his head and camera above the Sea Wall. Now I don't know exactly what he was trying to do, but Holly and I watched him go down the steps and we saw his hat 'walking' along the Sea Wall, so it's not as if we didn't know where he was!

We played along with him 'cos you've got to keep him happy, you never know when we get an adventure!

So, here I am doing my 'Oh dear, where has my OTL gone!' sort of look that makes him go Ahh!

Where has OTL gone?
Then when he has finished taking the picture I wag my tail and make like I am surprised!

Holly catches on fast and she did the 'Oh dear, where has my OTL gone!' and when he jumped up she pretended to be surprised and fell over on her side!

Ooo! Scary!
I'm sure OTL is not that daft, but just in case, we play along!

After lunch it was a quick trip to the carriers and then down to the Forest to hunt squirrels.

We had a great time, there were about six we saw and a load that we heard chattering away up in the trees!

Holly was doing her spotting job and I did the chasing. We even heard a woodpecker hammering away on a tree trunk, the first time this year. We wanted to go and see it but a squirrel popped it's head up at the same time.

Decisions, decisions, woodpecker or squirrel, squirrel or woodpecker?

Squirrel or Woodpecker?

There was one squirrel that was making a load of noise, but he was high in the tree and OTL took his picture using the new camera. Now he had not set up any of the menu's or stuff he has to do before using it but if you look at the picture and blow it up to full size......you can see the squirrels whiskers!

Shall I pose?
So, back home we go and you can guess what OTL has been playing with, yep, the Menus!

Tomorrow we may get a trip out so he can play some more with the camera, maybe some more hide 'n' seek if we are lucky!

Lambs Heart tonight, who needs squirrel!

Bye for now.

Monday, Busy, Busy, Busy!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you.

What a day it has been, Old Two Legs was up early, (most unusual), we were out for our walk about an hour early, (very unusual!), I got the rats, (almost unheard off!!!)

OTL had a lot to do today, first there was deliveries he missed yesterday, then he had to drop some other stuff off and that should have been done yesterday as well! After that he had an appointment with one of his customers that couldn't wait until tomorrow!

So, hence our early walk along the Sea Wall.

We had a sniff or two but it was just not right, too early and our body clocks were not given prior notice, so everything was messed up!

Anything to get you going?
We started off with our 'together sniffs'

Then tried the 'loan sniff' but it didn't work, well not for me anyway!

Nah! Nothing for me here!

Then we joined up again and found that silly tree they planted yesterday but it had been dug up and thrown across our path!

Still reckon they look silly!
Silly leaves!

On we went and Holly said something about the way I was walking and I got upset.

That's when the fight started!

You are for it now!
Up and down the path we went, pushing and shoving and twisting each others tail and it took OTL a good five minutes to calm us down again.

I went off into the long grass as normal but I was a bit put out with this early morning and refused to go to OTL when he called.

I just sat down and looked the other way!

Off went OTL with Miss Goody Two Paws and put her in the car. I couldn't see OTL and I was getting just a little worried, so I had a walk along the path, just to see if I could see him, but he wasn't there!

I was now wondering what to do when all of a sudden he came up behind me, he had walked the other way around the bushes!

Off we went back home and by now OTL was late, so we missed out on our morning brush!

When he came back, around lunch time we went off to the rubbish tip with the old cooker in the back of the car and all the packing stuff as well.

Then when we got back home, OTL wired the cooker up to the electricity and The Missus cooked our Lambs Hearts, the first meal in the new cooker.

TM said that now she has her new cooker she can burn OTL's food evenly all over, instead of in patches as she has done for years!

Lucky OTL!

So you see, it has been a busy old day and we are only just catching up with ourselves!

Tomorrow we should see OTL's new camera arriving, so, claws crossed, we may get some pictures out of him!

Bye bye for now.

Daisy & Holly

Another Super Sunny Sunday

Yo Woofers!

D&H back again in glorious sun shine!

You could tell it was going to be a good day 'cos we got woken up early with the sun shining behind the curtains and waking everyone else up, except Old Two Legs who need a little attention from Holly!

Finally we got him up and down to the Sea Wall. There was sunshine all over the place and after a quick sniff around the usual places, Holly pointed out that the smoke was coming out of the wrong place at the Power Station. She told OTL to take a picture just for Trev, or 'Old Ugly', as OTL calls him!

How about this Trev, Wrong Chimney!

We met up with Barney, who didn't come bounding onto the scene as he normally does, he had been chasing around and as he says, 'I'm feeling just a little 'Puffed' girlie's!'

Just a little Puffed Girls

But it didn't stop him from having a little trot around and of course he just had to say hello to OTL!

After a while he said he had to go 'cos his owners were getting worried about where he was, you could tell that 'cos they were blowing some damned Dog Whistle they had bought!

Bye Girls, Must Fly!
We had a laugh about that 'cos OTL has one and he keeps blowing it as well!

OTL spotted a boat chugging by and decided to take a picture just to show how calm the sea was.

Boring Picture of a Boat!
Holly was trying to show me how she can bounce the tennis ball. I just could not get the hang of it and in the end she gave up, telling me I was a 'Lost Cause', Humph! Do you think I care?

Look, Just Like This!

The funniest thing we saw today was some Two Legs, playing on the beach. Instead of building sand castles like they do normally, this pair decided to plant a tree!

Wot a Strange Tree!
Anyone knows that leaves don't look like that!

Back home for a snooze and a chew of some Pigs Ears, the best thing to do on a Sunny Sunday afternoon, you want to try it sometime!

Bye for now!

Daisy & Holly

Sun Shine and OTL has to work!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you.

What a super sunny day!

It was great walking along the Sea Wall, the Wormy men were up to their knees in mud, the birds were digging for worms and the sniffs were warm and interesting!

Super Sunny Sniff Time!
We went out for our morning stroll and got back for a brush and some Lambs Heart for breakfast. Then off to the garden for a snooze in the sunshine! The Missus wanted to put some 'Sun Block' on our tummy to stop us getting sunburn but Old Two Legs just told us to sleep on our tummies!

That was good 'cos that sun block smells terrible and it makes all the grit stick to our tummy!

After lunch, OTL had to do some work, someone came banging on the door and OTL spent some time with the man and his radio, Boring or Wot!

When he had finished, we all piled into the car and off we went to the New Park. We had a long walk, all around the Orchard Walk, at least two and a half miles!

OTL decided he should have a sit down half way around the course!

Holly got a bit bored sitting there waiting for OTL to recover and decided to blow a Raspberry at me!

Raspberries to Daisy!
I turned to OTL and told him what Holly had done, he told me not to be a baby and sort it out for myself!

Did you see what she did?
It was shortly after that the fight started!

OTL said that we had to practise our road crossing, so we had to sit at the kerb, look left and look right and Holly asked if we should look up as well in case of squirrels!

Look Left and Look Right!
OTL said we had done well and could cross!

Back home and we were given some of OTL's curry meat, lightly cooked but without the curry stuff!

Then we had a go at mugging him when he got served the curry! A bit of Naan bread dipped in the curried meat juice is enough for us!

Tonight I think we will be snoozing on the sofa and cuddling up to OTL!

See you tomorrow.

Daisy & Holly

Sneaky Friday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

What a wonderful day today, as well as being Friday, the weather has been kind, Old Two Legs has not cried and The Missus has broken the caravan table.

We were up reasonably early this morning for our Sea Wall walk as OTL had some jobs he had to get done first thing. One involved getting the car tax from the Post Office!

OTL has been after a new camera for some time and has been saving up all his pocket money, this morning he saw a camera on eBay that was almost new and used very little, so, at TM's suggestion he put a bid in and off he went to do his jobs. Now, bearing in mind that these cameras normally go for a good bit more than he bid, he was not expecting to come back home to find he had won it! OTL was a 'Happy Puppy' when he found out.

To celebrate, TM & OTL said they would take us out to Ore Marshes to see some birds and have a walk by the sea!

That was super, except that we had to stay on the lead 'cos they don't like dogs running free in case they scare the birds. Which is silly 'cos we wouldn't scare the birds, just eat them if they tasted like chicken!

Brent Geese in flight, we think, or they could be Sea Chickens!
As we got back to the car, Holly spotted a couple of ducks and whispered ' Mmm! Look! Mallard Munchies!'

Mallard Munchies!
We headed back home via the Riverside Park for a run around on the grass. Holly was getting hungry, so we didn't hang about for too long and I must admit, I was feeling a bit peckish as well!

Back home TM got out the caravan table and opened the legs out. This is the table she uses to do her cards on. She can't use the bedroom OTL has converted for card making 'cos she has too much stuff in there!

Back to the table. She opened the legs out and one fell off!

It was broken, snapped off, unrepairable, stuffed or as OTL said ......uggered!

That was terrible, where is she going to do her cards now?

What was even worse.........OTL would have to buy another table.

We think he is going to start crying again!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Sunshine!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here and what a wonderful day!

The sunshine has come out in force today, even Old Two Legs took his big coat off when we went out this morning!

We found some bird watchers out looking at the gulls. OTL wandered up and asked if they had spotted anything interesting, 'Just The Usual' came the reply. Holly thought that they may have spotted a Sea Chicken, so she sat down behind them and asked if she could have a look through their telescope. Trouble was, they didn't understand her and her polite question sounded like 'Woof, woof, woof, WOOOOF?'

OTL knew exactly what she was saying and said that she should try the 'Cute' look and see if that made and difference, but it didn't, they still kept watching the birds and ignored Holly!

How's this for Cute?
In the end Holly got fed up being cute, and polite, so she woofed a raspberry at them and stalked off with her tail in the air!

Look! It's a Sea Chicken!
It was almost like summer, sun good and warm on our backs and even the sniffs seemed a bit stronger in the warm!

Back home for a snooze and some lunch and a play in the caravan. OTL put the new battery in its place and connected up all the bits of wire he had unplugged, switched it all on and tested the satellite dish. Yep! It all worked as it should and then folded down into it's parked position.

Clever old OTL!

However, not so clever OTL wanted to renew his tax disc on line and had to phone up DVLA to ask a question, so, telephone DVLA he did, first of all there was a message saying please listen carefully and choose from five options, so we chose number one, then we got transferred to another message that said please listen carefully and choose from ten options, we chose number three, then we got transferred to another department saying please listen carefully and choose from twenty options, we chose number seven and got transferred to another department saying please listen carefully and choose from fifty options. At this point OTL said something rude and decided to go down the Post Office!

That was OK, except that when he got down there, he had brought the new insurance paperwork that doesn't start until well into next month, so he has to go back tomorrow!

OTL is not a Happy Puppy!

To make him feel better we took him off to The Forest where we went hunting squirrel. We saw a few up in the trees but they wouldn't come down to the ground!

Squirrel Nutkin!
Getting near the end of our walk we came across one squirrel on the ground, unfortunately it looks like he fell off the tree trunk. There was no marks on him and we had a good sniff for any clues but he was dead. That was a shame 'cos we don't mind chasing them but don't like to see them dead.

Poor squirrel!
We told The Missus about it when she got back from baby sitting and she said it was unfortunate but things like that happen, and it's called an accident. Also if we were not careful when crossing the road we could end up like the squirrel!

Must remember that the next time OTL tells us to 'Sit' at the kerb. Look up in case we may get hit by a squirrel falling out of the tree!

Chicken tonight then a cuddle with OTL before fighting Holly for the rawhide chew!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

A Busy Day with nothing to show for it!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

We have had one of those days where it seems like we have been on the go all day but when we come to the evening time, there seems to be nothing to show for it all!

First of all we were up a little late, I gave Old Two Legs a 'Good Morning' lick but he went back to sleep again, so did I, well, it's not worth getting up if there is no one else getting up to play with!

We went out for our morning walk but as we got there, it started to rain, not much but it was enough to make us notice.

We got interested in some sniffs by the main steps up to the car park. OTL laughingly said that the sniffs got better 'in steps' the higher you go!

Sniffs in Steps!
Holly said that OTL was trying to be a 'Right Wag' and we both laughed but didn't tell OTL what we were laughing about!

By the time we got back to the car we were both damp and I was a little cold as well. When we got into the car, OTL turned on the warm air and Holly turned around to him and said..........

Come on OTL, lets go home for breakfast!
I agreed with her!

The rest of the morning was spent snoozing while OTL was playing about with his bits of paper in the office.

Then, when he had finished, he announced that he was going to do some work in the caravan. You see, last year, for some reason, the satellite dish would not fold flat under electric power and he had to loosen some screw to get it to lay flat so we could go home. He was not sure why it had failed and today he finally got around to doing something about it!

Off all go into the caravan, OTL with tools and electrical meters and loads of other stuff. There he was, head under the seats and in the cupboards, his bottom stuck in the air! Holly and I had war games on the bed and jumped onto OTL's back when he had his head in the cupboard. That made him jump and he banged his head with the surprise!

Finally he decided that the cause of all his problems was the battery, but he didn't have the special testing gizmo thingy to put the battery under load.

Next stop the caravan shop. Yep! Duff battery, there was OTL sobbing quietly as the man took all his money for a new battery.

So, OTL is once again, not a happy puppy! Holly and I are going to give him lots of cuddles tonight to make up for it.

That is, after we've had our chicken dinner and mugged him for some of his venison burgers!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Squirrel Hunting Season!

Yo Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly here again!

What a super sunny morning, we were out with Old Two Legs for our run along the Sea Wall and the sun was shining down on us, the birds were heading off to the cafe for breakfast!

Down The Cafe Lads
For us it was great 'cos all the sniffs were all super new!

Expert Sniffin!

Holly found some ground sniffs that she had a good roll in, before OTL could stop her!

'After you with the sniff' said the Corvid!

The Corvid Family were out finding their breakfast! One even chased after Holly 'cos it thought Holly had found something to eat!

Mmmmmm.......Breakfast!

We met up with a couple of old Labrador dogs who started to tell us tales of what the Sea Wall was like when they were puppies!

When I was a puppy...!

After lunch, OTL had some deliveries to make, so we piled into the car and soon ended up at The Forest!

It was beginning to cloud over but we could still smell the squirrels and the rabbits. We spotted a couple of squirrels and were off like a streak of lightening, well, I was, Holly got distracted by a sniff and when she looked up, I was gone!

OTL was photographing some Snowdrops and he was doing it without his tripod, so not the panoramic shot, more of a dreamy close up!

Early Snowdrop
Anyway, by the time he looked up, I was good and gone.

We sort of lost contact for about fifteen minutes, I could hear him calling and whistling but there was a wire fence preventing me from getting to where he was.

The only thing I could do was to go back to the path where we normally go and hope to meet up with him. In the end, we met up, I saw him and Holly coming down the path so all was well in the end!

Holly and I started squirrel hunting around some of the big trees, Holly doing the spotting and me doing the chasing!

Getting ready for The Chase!

It was great fun and we got close to the squirrels a couple of times but they always climbed up the tree to get away and no matter how good Holly is at climbing, the squirrel was better!

If you think I'm going up there.......think again!

So back home where we found that The Missus had killed the electric cooker, well, it was around twenty years old, so OTL had to get his money out from under the bed and order another one!

We do hate to see him so upset, it's the same when he takes us to the vet, he always ends up crying when he has to spend some money!

So, tonight TM is cooking over a candle, so she says, and our dinner will be a little longer cooking than normal. OTL says that there will be more chance of getting a non burnt dinner 'cos she will have more chance of catching it before it bursts into flames!

We think OTL is pushing his luck!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Monday Fun Day!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again.

We have been good girls today, only woke Old Two Legs up at five this morning. We didn't want anything other than to say 'Good Morning' and give him a lick and a cuddle!

Our run along the Sea Wall was quick 'cos he had telephoned the Two Legs Vet to get an appointment to see about his ear and was given the one hour slot! So, a quick run along the wall and back in time, just!

He was in such a rush to get back that he didn't even take his camera!

Back he came with some pills to take and something to squirt into his ear.You know he didn't even get an injection! Which we thought that was a bit much, I mean, every time he takes us we end up with a needle stuck into us!

Maybe the pills he got were Worming Tablets, they sure are big enough!

Just before lunch time a man came banging on the door so OTL had to go out and fix his radio which was a bit of a cheek, well, we were just about to go out for our lunch time stroll!

It didn't take OTL long and soon we were down on the Sea Wall checking out the sniffs and looking for rabbits.

A Rabbits Been Here!

Holly went onto the beach and found another bunch of old egg sacks to throw up in the air, she is getting a right show off with them!

Just Like That!

Just for a change, we had a race along the sea front and onto the beach, then we dug a quick hole and ran off again!

Catch me if you Can!
We went all the way along the beach up to the place where the water comes out of the power station. Holly got up on top of the wall and was posing for OTL. She wiggled her tail and asked ' Does my Tail Look Big From There?'  Before OTL could say anything I called out that it was not her tail that looked big, it was her Butt!
Does my tail look big from there?

...........and that's when the fight started, again!

Having a rest between rounds!
Well, in the end we got back home and OTL told us both off for fighting but we didn't take much notice 'cos we can both run faster than him!

Tonight we have freshly cooked chicken for dinner and also we have been given a Roasted Pigs Ear!

Now they taste absolutely super even if they look terrible! Holly and I both love them and we get in our beds and chew away until they are gone. Of course, the first one top finish then goes into the other bed, just to see if she can help her sister out.

That normally end in 'Big Grumbles' as a warning to Woof Off!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

A Sunny Sunday By The Sea Side!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again and a 'Big Woofin Hello' to Marilyn who has joined our select band yesterday!

What a sunny day it is down here in North Kent. A bit of a breeze but good and fresh!

Being Sunday, we all got up late, The Missus was up at six 'cos she had got some 'Inspiration' for a card. (We are going to get her an appointment with the 'Two Legs Vet', just to get her checked out!)

Old Two Legs had another disturbed night with his ear, so he over slept and us, well we just love an early morning snoozett after waking up. A cuddle with OTL and a stretch full length across TM's pillow!

When we got down to the Sea Wall there were a crowd of people there in yellow coat things, all standing around talking, so, us being us, we went over to have a listen. They were the 'Litter Picking Squad', the same thing that TM and Auntie Sheila are active in doing down in our village, but this squad had a tractor to collect the plastic bags!

The Litter Squad and Tractor!

We left them to it and went off sniffin the sniffs and doing what we do best...........sniffin!

OTL tried to get a picture of the waves crashing against the sea wall and the sun reflecting in the water splash but the sun was behind the splash and creeping up behind OTL, so he got wet as well!

It's Behind You!

Holly found a stick, a big one you can get your jaws around, so she waved it at me, just to show off! Well, I wasn't having any of that and I chased her along the grass path and got it away from her, then she got it from me and then I got it from her and then we both had it and were running as fast as the other one would allow!

Great fun!

Mine!!!!!!!!!

We said 'Hello' again to the Westie that was helping the litter pickers, he said he was on 'Sniff Duty' telling them where the rubbish was hidden under the bushes!

Back home for a brush and a late breakfast, then a snooze in OTL's office, in our 'Day Beds'

This is Sunday as it should be spent!

After lunch we were down there again, so were lots of other dogs and Two Legs, all walking and enjoying the sun.

There was one Two Leg who was trying to look just like a Sea Gull perched on top of a wave breaker!

Just Flap Your Arms!

Yes, we thought it was a bit daft as well!

Holly found some more old egg sacks and was throwing it up into the air, doing her 'Party Trick'!

OK, now it's on me 'ead!

That was until I pinched it and .....................That's When The Fight Started!

...........and that's when

OTL spotted a couple of Crows, the same ones that are always down here, trying to break open a Whelk Shell. They would have a peck of it, trying to get in the front bit, then they flew up in the air, dropped the shell onto the concrete and came down to see if it was smashed, the shell, not the concrete!

My Tea!
Up we Go!
Finally they succeed and enjoyed a Sunday afternoon tea of whelk and sand!

Tastes Good!

Back home to a Chicken Dinner followed by a snooze and a cuddle with OTL.

A 'Perfect Sunday'!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
