The Last Day!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We do love these lazy days and being the last day of the year we decided to celebrate in style!

So, as it was going to be a lazy day, we got up late!

Yes, I know, we should really be up early, checking the house and grounds for Nargles and Robbers and Cats, but today, well, we sent The Missus down first and she's scary enough for all of them!

Out on The Sea Wall the frost was still thick on the ground, but not as much as yesterday, but it was still cold on our paws!

Well, it feels cold enough to be snow!
Old Two Legs was down with his camera photographing the frosty leaves.

If only he could get closer to the frost!
Down on the beach I was enjoying a good roll in the frosty sand.

I just love a 'Crispy Roll'!
Both ferrets had been emptied out of their Ferret Bag and as soon as Snowflake had been to wee, she was heading back to the ferret bag!

Get that bag ready, I'm on my way!
Mr Brambles just crouched down on the sand and had a little shiver to try and warm up but in the end even he asked to be carried up to the grass path!

This is just too cold!
It wasn't long before we all headed back up the grass path towards the car park. The ferrets enjoyed a 'Swim' in the grass and Miss Snowflake said that she enjoyed playing at being a 'Grass Shark'!

Beware! Grass Shark coming through!
Looking back down onto the sea we couldn't see any waves at all. In fact, it was smooth all over and if we didn't know how cold it was, I might have suggested a swim!

Looks good enough to swim in!
Back home we had some of our Posh Scoff and retired to OTL's office to enjoy our 'Lazy Day'

Lunchtime we were back on the beach and it was warming up now, not a lot, but enough to have some fun!

Rough an' Tumble
Holly and I had a good 'Rough an' Tumble' on the beach while OTL tried to photo a Red Shank that was  paddling in the rock pools but as soon as OTL got close, it would fly off again!

We met up with Pixie who we hadn't seen for some time and she did her normal trick of trying to mug OTL for a nibble but she still hasn't learnt, OTL doesn't carry nibbles!

Come on, you must have at least one nibble!
A bit further on we met up with our mate who decided that she wanted to have a cuddle with OTL!

Wot a Tart!

Excuse me Girls, I'm off to see OTL!
Down on the beach we spotted a Two Legs who was standing there looking out to sea. Holly said he was waiting for the water to come back

What a Bozo! It's going to be a long time before he had any chance of getting his paws wet!

Where's the Sea gone?
We were surprised by the number of TL's playing on the beach, you can tell that they are still on holiday 'cos they are all wandering around playing games!

So many Two Legs!
Back home for another nibble and a snooze before mugging OTL when his dinner comes up!

Now, we have heard, via The Missus and that thing called 'Face Ache' that Lucy has been in for another injection and is doing well! That's great news! Keep yer tail up Lucy Girl!

We also heard that Lucy's mum has had her operation and should be out of hospital soon! Good news! It won't be long before we see her down at TM's Master Classes again, slapping the Glue and Glitter with the rest of them!

So, we are off now to see what OTL has got for dinner, something meaty and juicy with any luck!

See you tomorrow woofers and it will be the First Day of the year!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Sunrise, Cold Beach and a please can Snowflake have an Ice Axe!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles but no Snow Fairy!

Yep! That's right, no snow down here. When we got up this morning there was so much frost over everything that at first we thought the Snow Fairy had arrived but Old Two Legs said it was a 'Heavy Frost'!

Down on the beach we managed to start our walk before the sun got out of bed! There was just a reddish glow in the sky.

Before the Sun got up!
By the time we got to the path to the beach the Sun was just visible over Sheerness!

Good Morning Mr Sun!
It was only a couple of minutes or so before the Sun finally rolled out of bed and was starting his journey across the sky.

OK, the day has started!
Miss Snowflake just went as far as the waters edge and decided it was too cold to climb across the rocks. Mr Brambles was in agreement and said he wasn't going into the water, the beach was good enough for him!

This is far enough for me!
Miss Snowflake was heading back to the car and had a little difficulty climbing the wall, she had claws but really would have loved to have an Ice Axe as well!

I need an Ice Axe
Holly and I went off to check to see if there was any sign of a Snow Fairy, all we found was Jack Frost!

No, no Fairy here either!
On our way back to the car we spotted a Heron circling over the beach, OTL thought it may land on the beach but instead it went over the trees and headed inland!

I'm off back to The Marsh!
When we got home, OTL went off to pick up Tilly and Sassy 'cos OTL had promised to take them to a pantomime!

Holly an I were left in charge of the house, so Holly pinched a couple of roasted peanuts and I pinched some of her chicken dinner!

We really enjoyed watching out for the return and OTL, The Missus and the girls! Then it was back to some serious mugging. Holly managed to get half a Shortbread biscuit before OTL said she mustn't have any more!

So, everyone has just left, so we are settling down to an evening of watching the TV and falling asleep.

Until it's time to wake up and go to bed!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Still no Snow Fairy!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

We got up this morning and for a moment thought that the Snow Fairy had arrived but instead it was just a heavy layer of frost on the windscreen of the car!

Mind you, there was a good sunrise down on the beach!

Better!
While Old Two Legs was clicking away, I had a roll in something smelly!

I jus' love a good roll!
Miss Snowflake even managed to get OTL to walk out onto the rocks and pick her up instead of having to walk through the puddles!

I can feel the sun on my tail!
Both Holly and I wanted to get back home 'cos the cold was starting to work through our flying coats! We called out for the ferrets to 'Get a Move on' and then headed back to the car!

Come on you lot!
We spent the morning snoozing while The Missus was playing with her Glue & Glitter. It's amazing how much mess she can make to produce just one picture!

We reckon that Snowflake could do better with her Poo Tray!

Lunchtime we were down there again but this time without our coats!

Mind you, the wind was blowing a bit and we wished we had got our coats by the time we had finished!

OTL was playing with the camera trying some 'Natural Back Lighting', what ever that is!

Back Lit Wot?
OTL saw our mate the Curlew who was paddling around looking for his lunch. We called out to him and asked if it was cold in the pools. He said that his feet were OK 'cos he could wiggle his toes in the mud but his knees were a bit cold!

It's me knees wot are cold!
His mate the Red Shank confirmed that the water was chilly and his knees were cold as well!

I'm cold as well!
Holly said that maybe it would be a good idea to stay out of the water and get home to a warm sofa!

I'm out of here and back to the warm!
Pretty soon we were back in our warm house and cuddled up! OTL plans to watch a DVD tonight and TM is finishing off a card on which she is due to do a Master Class soon. Looks pretty good!

The ferrets have been asleep for most of the day, as normal, but they will wake up later for a cuddle and a slurp of Ferretone and of course, Mr Brambles will have a late night snack!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

So, Where's the Snow Fairy?

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We had been warned that there was a load of snow heading our way. Old Two Legs said there was a 'Yellow Warning' from the weather people and that we could be skiing along the Sea Wall!

What did we get this morning?

Frost!

Not much frost here!
It was cold and windy as well, so that means it was even colder!

Mind you, it did make a good sunrise 'cos the air was all clean and bright. OTL's sunrise over Sheerness looked rather good today!

Not Bad, Not Brilliant, Just, Not Bad!
Holly and I had our 'Flying Coats' on but we still needed a run up and down the beach to warm up!

Chaaaaaaarge!
Of course, the ferrets were playing around on the rocks. Miss Snowflake suggested a game of 'Hide-N-Seek' but because she uses her tail to balance we could see her all the time 'cos it was standing up above the rocks and waving from side to side!

Bet you can't see me now!
In the end it was getting too cold to do any paddling in the water so we headed back home, in fact we had a race back to the car but because Holly and I wanted to stop for sniffs, the ferrets were first back!

Come on Snowy, she's getting ahead of us!
Back home we enjoyed some lambs heart and then went off for a snooze!

Lunchtime we had to drag OTL from out of his comfortable chair, he was half way through watching a DVD and going out for a walk was the last thing he had on his mind!

That was until I arrived on his lap!

So, with the DVD on Pause, off we went!

The first thing we did was to meet up with Sid The Seagull, or Super Sid as he now wants to be known as!

He came flying over us and called out that he had been away in Essex visiting his relatives over Christmas but will be back for the New Year!

Sid doing a Fly Past!
Holly was most impressed with Sid's flying and she tried to copy him as she ran along the Sea Wall!

Holly, doing a Super Sid!
Sid called back that she was doing well and soon would take off! That pleased Holly 'cos she had always admired Sid's flying!

I spotted a Redshank doing a dance on the mud but as he said, 'No, not dancing, just trying to fool the crustaceans that the tides come in!'

Well, it still looks like dancing in mud!
Then after all that we were off home 'cos it was cold, and the wind made it colder!

What was worse, we had decided not to put on our Flying Jackets!

Back home Holly and I had a snooze on the sofa while OTL finished his DVD!

I'm not sure what OTL has for dinner tonight, more than likely some cold meats and pickles. Well you can keep the pickles and stuff but the cold meats go down well!

See you tomorrow!

Oh, by the way, Snowflake says thank you very much to everyone who sent her the birthday cards and kind wishes on her birthday.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It's Snowflakes Official Birthday and OTL Has a Day on His Own, Almost!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here.

Down on the beach we spotted a couple of Wormy Men and one Lonely Curlew!

Spot the Curlew?
Holly and I enjoyed the Early Morning Sniffs. The only real problem was the howling wind that caused what Old Two Legs called 'Wind Chill'!

We don't know what the temperature was but as Holly said, 'It's Woofin Cold'!

Early Morning Sniffs
Miss Snowflake  was emptied out of the Ferret Bag and she raced across the rocks to her favourite rock!

On A Mission!
Back home The Missus was getting ready for The Cat Woman to arrive and play at making a mess with paper and inks!

It looks like we will be spending all day up on the bed!

OTL and Ian decided that it may be a good idea to escape to a local Bird Wildlife Reserve and sit in a shed watching for birds.

Well, what ever turns you on!

Holly and I decided that there was no way OTL was going to leave us at home with TM and The Cat Woman, I mean, we may get covered in glitter and Peel Offs!

We rushed to the car as soon as the door was opened and that was it, we were going bird watching!

We got to a place that was called Cliffe Pools but was really a load of used gravel pits. Off we went walking around one of the pools.

More Pools on the Path!
It was muddy and a bit chilly 'cos the wind was blowing in off the marshland and the puddles were deep and muddy as well!

We did see a rabbit and dived after it but as OTL had us on the lead, we didn't get the chance to catch it.

Still, there is always next time!

Come on Bunny Wunny, come to Woofers!
The was one place that we stopped to look at a bird, well OTL did and we just saw a ship go past behind the bushes, strange or wot!

Funny place for a ship!
In the end we did a big figure of eight around all the pools and Holly reckons it must be about five miles in total. I know I was getting tired towards the end and OTL had to carry me on his shoulders for a bit, just like he did when I was a puppy, so I can have a rest!

Gawd! Will it never end?
Holly was OK, she said that she needed the exercise to help loose a few kilos!

When we finally got back home, OTL gave us both a wash down on our legs and tummy to get rid of all the mud and also help relax our leg muscles!

I must admit, Holly and I fell asleep and we only woke up at nine thirty 'cos OTL was asking us if we wanted a wee before going to bed!

That's another good reason why we are so late getting the blog up and running!

By the way, it was two years ago today that Miss Snowflake wandered into our back garden to start her life of luxury!

We don't know her real date of birth but her previous owner said she was two years old, so now, she is four years old and just like the Queen, she has her own birthday and the birthday of when we found her.

She reckons that she prefers living with us and at least she doesn't get any more ticks! (OTL took seventy four off her when she first arrived!)

We all sang 'Happy Birthday' to her and even Mr Brambles joined in!

So, we are all so tired, it's off to bed for us Woofers.

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Boxing Day!

Hi Woofers!

It's us back again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

It has been a bit chilly today and we hear there is a warning about the Snow Fairy turning up here in North Kent!

This morning we were up late again and it was all rush and tear to get out. This means that the ferrets didn't get their run around the office and have a chance of a wee or a poo before going out, for a wee and a poo!

One thing you must understand about ferrets, it can take just one hour between chew chew and poo poo!

Well, Old Two Legs didn't get his timings right and Mr Brambles got this terrible urge to have a poo, half way to the car park!

Mind you, he decided that he didn't want to mess in the travelling cage, so he backed up to the door and went for it!

Get Out and Walk!
OTL had to clean it all up when he got back home. You know, it's all part of sharing your world with ferrets!

The sun was well up and OTL tried to get a 'Moody' shot but we thing he failed on this occasion!

The Sun's well up today!
Holly and I had a good run up and down the beach and along the Sea Wall!

Can't catch me!
Miss Snowflake took one look at the mud and decided that she would go back and climb over the rocks!

This looks Yucky!
Once again, as soon as she found her rock she was OK!

What you looking at?
Then, just as we were about to head up the grass path, along came a Wormy Man! It was obvious, he had spent too much time in bed and was late arriving on the beach, all his mates were already out there!

There goes a Wormy Man, Late Again!
Back home OTL was working on the electrical wiring for the caravan. He had promised to get it up and running again and today he finished the job!

Well done OTL!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again and there were loads of Two Legs and their woofers as well, a lot we didn't know!

Holly, always the friendly woofer, said hello to a few of them but they didn't hang about 'cos their owner kept calling them away!

Can't stop, she's calling us!
We did spot a family doing something unusual, they were having a Bar-B-Q in the car park!

Now, we have seen them doing it on the beach but never in the car park!

A Boxing Day Activity?
Holly and I have been playing 'Pinch The Chew' today and so far I'm in the lead, I've pinched her chew twice, but OTL keeps on making me give it back!

It's good to hear that Archie Babe has been enjoying the 'Squeaky's', we have been driving The Missus potty with the squeaks and rattles!

See you all tomorrow

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr 'Whoops' Brambles!
