Another swim for me!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

It's Friday!

Tomorrow we will have an extra ten minutes in bed! However, today we were up at our normal time and down the beach in time to see the first of the carriers arrive at Sheerness!

Sheerness in the morning sun!
Miss May was being a pickle, she pinched the ball from me and started to dig her hole so she could bury the ball!

I mean, that's My Job!

This is how it's done!
You know, she is getting more demanding every day!

Her place is normally at the back but she has been pushing her way up the line!

Come on, it's my turn up the front!
Fred and Wendy don't have any plans on taking over, they are normally so far back we have to set up camp to wait for them!

The tide was right in so I was straight in for a splash about and Old Two Legs even found a bit of wooden root that I had fun fetching and chewing!

It's OK, I can see it!
In the end I got a bit worn out so OTL called me back and I enjoyed a good roll in the grass.

The only problem was that I picked up a load of those horrid little burrs that stick to your hair and are a pig to get out!

This is getting tiring!
In the end I was pleased I lost the stick!

It was fun when we got back to the car 'cos I had to stand on the ferret cage while OTL picked the burrs out of my hair. The ferrets were calling out that the burrs didn't stick to them 'cos they have silky smooth hair that burrs don't stick to!

Show offs!

Still, we got OTL to ourselves tomorrow so we are looking forward to some fun and games!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

The Badger Ballet.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Well, there is also one more, we got a video sent by our mate Melissa of the antics this badger gets up to in her garden, just for a nibble of the bird table!

Now, if that didn't tickle you tail, nothing will!

The weather is changing here, we felt a little rain on our morning walk, not enough to worry about but it was there!

Looking at the clouds going past we reckon someone up north of us is due for soaking!

Gloomy or Wot!
Walking along the beach we discovered a 'Nelly Fish' and it looks like it got washed up on the last high tide.

Old Two Legs has always told us we shouldn't get too near 'cos they have stingers that may give us a nasty rash!

A washed up Nelly Fish!
We all headed off to the grass path and had a great time doing our 'Indian Style' sniffing!

How come she always gets the first place?
Back home for a snooze, only to be woken up by rain lashing against the bedroom window, it looks like that storm cloud has brought his mates with him today!

By the time lunch was announced the rain had gone and we were down the beach again.

You know it was high tide and the water was just right for a 'Deep Paddle' so in I went!

OK, I know you don't have a ball but what about a stone and pretend?
Freddy and Wendy reckon that it was better off back in the bag and the tried to rush OTL but he was too quick for them!

OK, count three and we'll both rush him!
On the way back to the car, OTL stopped to pick up Holly's Poo and while he wasn't looking Miss Wendy dived into the bramble bush and was heading for the deepest, darkest part of the bushes.

OTL tried to pull her back out but the lead was stuck so OTL stuck his hand into the brambles and followed the lead down to where Wendy was stuck!

He got her out and then spent the next ten minutes trying to get all the bramble spikes out of his hand!

He says he now has a 'Sore Paw'!

All together Aaaaaaaah!

OK, we are off 'cos we can sniff dinner, OTL's dinner and we need to taste it in case it is poison or under cooked, the things we do for him and he just doesn't appreciate it!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

TM is back!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

Wot a super day it has been!

We were up early this morning 'cos we had to get the house all tidy and ready for The Missus when she came back home.

Holly was rushing around picking up all the old carrots and biscuits while I was licking all the plates clean before putting them all in the dish washer!

OTL made the bed and got rid of all the crumbs and bits of carrot that got left under the duvet!

We got down to the beach and the sun was getting up. There was a funny blue light just under the sun and we were not too sure what it was. May said it could be a UFO (Unidentified Ferret Object!)

OTL said he wasn't sure while Holly and I said it was the reflection of the moon from over the horizon!

Any other suggestions?

It's an Ooo Fow Ow!
We had a game with the rubber ball, May said she had a super hole in the sand, just big enough for the ball.

Come on let me bury it this time!
i was down the beach a bit trying to decide if I should dig my own hole!

I rather fancy here to be honest!
In the end OTL picked up the ball and hid it in the ferret bag so no one could bury it!

Back home we managed to get everything cleared away in time and we sat up at the bedroom window waiting for TM.

Of course, when she arrived we gave her a good Woofers Welcome to show how we missed her!

You know, so far, she hasn't pointed out any things we had missed in our cleaning, so we reckon we have got away with it this time!

Lunchtime down the beach was good, Holly sat on the beach catching up with her tan while Fred and Wendy had a roll in the sea weed.

I did suggest that the water was super warm and just right for a swim but Holly Chops didn't share my enthusiasm!

In your dreams Daisy Dog!
Well, it didn't stop me from charging in for a splash about, even though I didn't have a ball to chase!

We have just got to get another ball!
Back home to some Lambs heart that OTL had cooked and then under the office desk for a snooze!

OTL got a frozen curry out of the freezer this morning, so we know what he has got tonight, it looks like we will have to put up with Naan Bread tonight and a slurp of gravy!

Now what is all this about fleas? We thought you had got rid of the little devils? You must have got too close to those Hedge Hogs again. We reckon your TL should not only give you the treatment but spray the house and then chase the Hedge Hogs with the spray as well!

I'm sure the Hedge Hog would be pleased to get rid of those fleas!

We were sent a video of a Badger raiding a bird feeder, now there is an animal with fleas, it's a good job we don't get any in our garden!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy de Ferret.

Autumn is coming!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Well, to day has been rather boring, not that we haven't been out or had a game of 'Dig and Whizz' on the beach!

It's just that Old Two Legs has been working, I mean, it's only Tuesday and we have been snoozing like champions!

Mind you, the ferrets do have the edge on us, you know they sleep around eighteen hours a day!

We were up a bit late this morning so the sun was up and climbing across the sky by the time we got to the beach!

Another sunny day!
May and Holly had a game of 'Dig and Whizz', May did the digging and Holly did the Whizz, followed by a Roll!
A Whizzing Roll by Holly Chops!
I did the hole digging as well and even tried to bury the ball but OTL spotted me and rescued the ball!

Almost gone!
I tried another hole at lunchtime but we didn't have a ball to bury!

The Missing Ball may be here, you never know!
Freddy had a dig as well but like me, didn't find a sniff of the ball!

No, nothing here, how about a carry instead?
It was cloudy but not cold but you could see that Autumn is here 'cos the wind has been blowing and the heating even came on this morning!

We were coming off the beach when Wendy spotted a 'Floating Brick' being guided past the sunken ship and off to where ever it is bound for!

Bye Bye Brick!
Back home we have had to suffer with Doggy Scoff today but OTL has promised that tomorrow we can have Lambs Heart!

Once it has been thawed out!

Still, we can mug some of his Pizza tonight and of course there is the shortbread and then the Bonio biscuits and teeth cleaning chews!

We may just survive the night!

OTL tells us that The Missus will be home tomorrow, so I suppose we will be up early to help OTL clear everything up and make the place look clean and tidy!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Just to explain the 'not quite' class - this is for those that have minor things such as chipped teeth, cauliflower ears, small ailments or something that doesn't affect their everyday life particularly.
The disabled class is for ferrets that have a significant disability- something that has an significant impact on their daily life - such as a missing leg - hope this makes sense!

Hey! Did you spot the 'Not Quite' class? We reckon Wendy is going in for that 'cos she has a brown tooth and a 'Folded Ear'!

Old Two Legs will put her in for the Polecat Jill section as well, just for the experience!

Miss May is a Silver Jill, so you can see where she is going. Freddy is a Polecat Hob so he is in with the big boys!

Enough of this ferret show stuff we'll remind you again later.

Do you think they have a section for 'Friendly Woofers'?

It rained this morning!

We haven't seen rain for ages down here in North Kent!

Luckily for us it rained after our morning walk.

May was digging when she spotted rain clouds in the distance.

Wot's That?
It was a good thing she spotted the rain clouds 'cos we could have got caught in the rain if we had stayed on the beach!

OK, I think I'm finished with digging!
We headed back to the car and although we found some good sniffs, we didn't hang about too long!

Sniffin' Indian Style!
On our way back the rain arrived and we had to use the windscreen wipers for the first time this summer!

Back home Fred and Wendy didn't even know what was happening out side 'cos they were fast asleep!

Not raining here!
Lunchtime came and we let OTL wake Freddy, Wendy was awake and waiting to get dressed in her harness!

We got down on the beach but I must say, it didn't look very inviting!

Wendy saw the rain cloud out to sea and suggested we start for home!

What happens if the cloud does a left hand turn!?
Well, we found out 'cos all of a sudden there it was all big and dark and looking very wet!

Now what do you think OTL said?

I really could do with a yellow filter!
That was it, no hanging about, let's get back to the car and we can watch the rain from inside the car!

Well, it didn't rain, even after we got back home it didn't rain but at least the ferrets got a good run back to the car!

Poor Freddy was exhausted!

Still, it was a good excuse for a cuddle and a snooze!

It's tiring work being a Ferret!
See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Paws up Sunday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

I just love Sundays like today!

We stayed in bed a whole half an hour longer than normal!

Old Two Legs was up just before us to get his shower and then we were off to the beach.

Now, you all know it is Autumn and the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer, so that means we got to bed when it's dark and wake up when it's dark!

Now it seems that OTL likes this arrangement 'cos he can play about with the camera and shoot Sunrises!

So, while he is playing we get a chance to roll in the sniffs and dig holes!

Miss May was well away with a hole!

This is good for hiding from the sunrise!
Holly was still half asleep, so she stayed on the Sea Wall basking in the warm glow of the sun!

I won't get much of a suntan until it gets higher in the sky!
Of course, OTL was clicking away, so I suppose I'll have to show you his effort!

Morning has Broken?
After the beach we headed off to the grass path, May was dragging her tail a bit 'cos she was looking at the sunrise and saying it was 'Pretty'!

I suppose next she will be bringing her own camera to take pictures of the sun!

Don't that all look pretty?
Back home we decided to retire for a morning snooze 'cos we had a late night last night. OTL got the carrots out and Holly and I were chewing away into the night!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again but this time the sun was right above our head, so no pretty pictures!

Instead we were playing on the beach digging holes and rolling in the sniffs!

Miss Wendy was having a great time and she was getting well down into the hole!

Haven't seen a ball have you?
Freddy was having a great time as well and instead of a deep hole, his was sort of spread about!

I need room to roll in mine!
This afternoon we have been watching some TV and snoozing, so pretty soon we will wake OTL up and see what is for dinner tonight!

I like the idea of an early breakfast around 2-15! Mind you, we take our carrot to bed with us so that if we feel peckish we can have a nibble without going down stairs!

Organisation, that's the secret!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Fun Time!

Yo Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Did we have fun last night! Loads of nibbles and Shortbread and Single Malt Whisky!

Freddy treated us to a demonstration of Ferret Break Dancing on the coffee table while May went through her 'Kung Foo' exercises complete with 'Death Yells'!

This morning we were clearing up the crumbs and there must have been a good pound of crumbs on the floor!

Old Two Legs let the birds enjoy the crumbs!

Down on the beach May and I had fun digging a hole to bury the ball, first I'd go in and dig, then she would dive in and throw some sand about.

Great Fun!

Come on, just a bit deeper!
You know, left to it, these ferrets can do some serious digging if they put their mind to it!

Watch out, here comes OTL!
We were not allowed to leave the ball in the hole and OTL came along with the Poo Bag and scooped it up.

That will stay in the ferret bag until tomorrow!

Back home OTL did all his jobs and had a game with the ferrets while Holly and I had our morning snooze.

I fancied an early walk and just as OTL was settling down to some computer work, I gave him the Woofers Woof!

That's the woof I use when I want something and after we have gone through everything from 'A wee in the garden' to 'A game with the squeaky toy' we settle on 'Walkies Time!'

We met up with loads of people who wanted to stroke Fred and Wendy and insisted on OTL telling them all about ferrets, BORING!

I mean, it used to be 'Ooooo! How cute!' What breed are they?  but now we don't get a second look!

It's all about ferrets now!

As we lost the ball a few days ago, Holly and I have now to dig a hole and pretend that we can sniff it and dig another couple of feet deeper!

Yeah! We are Australian Digger Dogs'
We plan to watch a DVD tonight and OTL has chosen 'The Hobbit' and he says that while The Missus is away he is going to watch the whole set of DVDs.

Of course, there may be some nibbles and Shortbread and Single Malt!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

TM's Gone so get the Nibble Tin out!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Wot a super day it has been. Loads of sunshine and balmy breezes!

First thing this morning it was just a little misty but once the sun was up it soon burnt off any remaining mist!

After the sun got over the horizon it was all golden skies and sun rays!

Red Funnels in the sun rise!
We met up with Max and Oscar who were out for their morning walk and we saw Bud and young Dave!

Miss May got spooked by one of those Tin Birds that roar overhead. Once she got the wind under her tail she was off like a rocket down the path towards the car!

Back home The Missus was getting all in a state 'cos she wanted the car to load up all her stuff for a visit to Martin's place. She is babysitting the grand sons while Mum and Dad are off for a few days in some sunny part of the world!

Pretty soon she was off in a cloud of smoke from the squealing tyres as she roared off up the road!

Lunchtime Old Two Legs was waiting for a delivery but I was getting a bit 'desparate' and had a need for some long grass!

In the end OTL loaded us all in the car when around the corner came the delivery man and delivered the package OTL was waiting for!

Nice timing!

It was a bit warm down on the beach but Fred and Wendy both had a little dig while Holly and I went off Sniffing the Sniffs!

Heading back along the top path we met up with a big hairy bozo of a woofer who got me a bit worried. I hung back but Holly went to say 'Hello'.

Now this Bozo just had no manners and he shoved his nose where Holly didn't like it, so she gave him a sharp 'Woof Off'!

You know the Dopey Bozo just didn't get the hint and he did it again!

This time Holly not only woofed but gave him the 'Warning Growl' as well!

His Two Legs called hi back and put him on a lead, that stopped him!

Once he had passed us and was far enough down the path I put my head back and gave him the 'Woofers Challenge'!

I went Woof, woof, Woof Whooooooooo, Hooooooooooo, Hooooooooo!

I did that a couple of times but kept a good look out just in case he decided to come back, but he didn't!

That told him!

Back home we gathered up some stuff and off we went delivering!

While OTL was delivering Holly and I sat in the car trying to decide what nibbles we were going to get out tonight. Holly wants the biscuits that leave crumbs everywhere and I want the Chicken Fillets that are Sooooo Tasty!

We think OTL may get his shortbread out and that means he will be making crumbs all over the place as well!

I bet Archie Babe's TL wouldn't want any crumbly stuff, not with a sore tooth hole in her jaw!

Nasty, mind you, a slurp of alcohol based drinkies will help to keep the soreness down, well, that's what OTL says and he never suffers from a sore tooth, so it must work!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

No Frogs, just Nargles on the prowl!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Happy Equinox!

We saw a real Autumnal sunrise, all misty and golden!

Autumn Equinox.
That didn't stop us from having a good game! May went off to see if there were any Nargles hiding under the Sea Weed. She said there were thousands there just waiting to attack us and pinch our rubber ball, just like they did yesterday when they pinched our solid rubber ball after we buried it in the hole!
Get back all you Nargles or I'll get Holly to sort you out!
May came running over and told me all about the Nargles under the Sea Weed and how they had designs on our rubber ball!

That was it, I was digging for all I was worth! May was helping by shifting some of the sand and helping with instructions on the shape and size of the hole!

Over to the left a bit!
May had a go at digging as well and there were times when she held the ball so I could dig underneath the ball.

OK, have a breather, you don't want to over do it!
Then I took turns in holding the ball while May dug underneath as well!

OK, I've got it, carry on digging!
Finally we reckoned it was deep enough and we took time to scan around to see if the Nargles were watching us!

No, I can't see any of them watching us, quick, shove it in the hole and sit on it!
We buried the ball and kicked the sand back into the hole to cover the ball. Old Two Legs said that it really wasn't deep enough and any Nargle with a nose could find it without any problem!

Well, we were wondering just what we could do when OTL suggested that we put it in a Poo Bag and hide it in the Ferret Bag!

Well, it sounds like a good idea to me!
So, that was it, back in the bag and it is safe until tomorrow morning!

This afternoon Fred and Wendy had a go at digging for the ball, until OTL told them it was at home!

Wadda You mean 'It's Gone'?
This afternoon it has been rather warm, so we are crossing our claws that it keeps warm and sunny for when we go away on holiday next month.

Until then we are going to enjoy any sun we get, even if it is down here in North Kent!

Oh! Another thing, Archie Babe, OTL won't let us pat the Frogs Butt 'cos he says that we would be too rough!

Holly reckons that they taste like chicken and we love chicken!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Trev's gotta Sister!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

You know it is getting very noticeable that the days are getting shorter. It is dark when we get up and the sunrise is still visible when we get down to the beach!

Sunrise is getting more colourful now!
Did you know the tomorrow is the September equinox here in North Kent? That means the day light and the night time are exactly the same! After that it is all down hill until the Spring!

Miss May enjoyed her run on the beach chasing the rubber ball!

I let her get the ball a couple of times but in the end my long legs proved to be faster than her short ones!

Back home we were having a look around the garden, checking up on the sniffs and looking for anything new.

Holly noticed it first, a small nose and a couple of small eyes poking out from under a Lilly Pad.

Another Frog!

It certainly wasn't Trevor 'cos he is a bit bigger and darker skin colour.

So now we have two frogs, OTL says that if they were from the frog spawn then they would be brother and sister but if one was from the live for we introduce then we could be looking at some baby frogs next year!

Claws crossed!

Down on the beach at lunchtime, Old Two Legs had brought my solid rubber ball so Holly and I had great fun charging up and down the beach with the ball.

I started to dig a hole in which to put the ball and the further I got down into the sand the more the sides would fall into the hole covering the ball!

OK, where is is now?
After a while Holly and I needed a breather and that gave Fred and Wendy a chance to dive in and start throwing sand about.

Will you get off my shoulders!
They had a good rummage around and although there was traces of Ball Sniff, there was no sign of it!

We can sniff it but can't find it!
After ferreting around looking for the ball the ferrets gave up and allowed Holly and me back into the hole!

Well you put it in here!
In the end we had to give up and admit the ball was gone!

Back in the car the ferrets were straight into the water bowl! They made such a noise slurping the water down!

Do you think we could have a swim in here?
Back home the ferrets were absolutely whacked! They went back into the cage, had a nibble and slurp and headed for their beds!

I don't expect that we will hear from them until tomorrow morning!

We are now off to see what OTL has lined up for dinner and more important, can we have a bit!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.
