A Strange Sunday

Hi All and a big Hello To PeeJay,

I've had a Strange Sunday, it started off with some noises around half past one in the morning, (well, middle of the night as Old Two Legs likes to say!) I was not sure what is was, but it woke me up and I went into GD (Guard Dog) mode. I started to woof at the noise, very loud, one of my special GD woofs that go on a long time and get louder and longer.

OTL started barking as well, but I think he was barking at me!

It was good to have a midnight bark, but after a while I got bored and drifted off to sleep again, only grumbling every so often, just to let OTL know I was still on Guard Duty. I could hear him grumbling as well, but he does that every time he goes to sleep, The Missus calls it Snoring!

All this fun meant that I was a little tired this morning, so I retired to the 'Day Bed' a little earlier than normal surrounded by my toys and chews.

The Day Bed
There I was, all snoozy and relaxed when OTL crept out of the office, opened the loft hatch and rattled the loft ladder, then rushed up there and stated getting stuff out that I have never seen before.

The Missus was there, giving him instructions (he says Orders!) on what to get down next.

Soon there was loads of boxes and a tree in bits, everywhere!

TM was fiddling with something she calls Snowy, well, when she finished, I could hardly believe my eyes, it glowed AND moved. I wasn't too sure about this new thing, so I gave it a woof and a grumble just to let him know who was in charge!

Snowy

OTL put the tree together and hung little lights all over it, and they all twinkled!

Then TM started to hang balls and other stuff all over the tree and she warned me that I was not to touch them!

I'm not sure what this is all about but they both seem in a happy mood, so it must be good!

I'll let you know what happens.

Bye for now,

Daisy

The Snow Fairy is not very well!

Hello Everyone,

Old Two Legs and I went out early this morning and things have changed.

For a start, the wind was not as cold as it has been. The snow did not stick to my fur in balls like it has done.

I've had a look at the snow and it seems to be changing to water!

I don't think the Snow Fairy likes the warm weather and is fading into the earth.

Sad really but OTL says she will come back again when the winds turn cold again.

On the walk this morning I got OTL to pick me up to play at Pirates again but I changed my mind and played Shackleton instead, looking for Icebergs on the River Thames!

I see no Icebergs!
Because the snow is going away, OTL decided not to go out looking for snow covered trees, instead he stayed in and cleared up his office.

I now have trouble finding my chews, he has put them somewhere, TIDY!!!!

The Missus was supposed to go out today with her mate Sheila and make cards at Karen's house.

That would mean OTL and I could lay around the house and eat biscuits all day and watch TV.

No such luck, Karen has got a cold so Sheila and TM spent all day in our house making a mess with the ink and glitter and bits of peel off...................they are SO messy!

OTL and I spent all day in his office, tidying it up, snoozing and watching football on the TV.

Well, that's what Saturday's are for!

See you soon.

Feeding the Birds

Morning All!

Old Two Legs and The Missus are all right really.

I get looked after and they also have been putting out stuff for the birds.

I just love to sit by the window and watch all the birds come down to the feeders.

Birdwatching in the Warm!
We get loads of Goldfinches with the red patch on their heads, they go mad for the Niger Seed. I've tried a taste of the stuff but it gets stuck in my teeth!

The Blue Tits and Great Tits are potty for the peanuts in the feeders and the fat balls. OTL has seen Long Tailed Tits and Coal Tits in the garden, but not since the snow arrived.

We've even got a Blue Tit sleeping overnight in one of the bird boxes, I know this 'cos there is a camera in the box and I can see it on the TV in OTL's office.

Who's sleeping in my Box?

I've seen a Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Collared Doves, Wood Pigeons, Dunnock's, Robins, Chaffinch, Green Finch, Wren, Blackbird, Starling and even a seagull (Black Headed Gull).

Phew! That's a lot of birds! And they all come to eat the food OTL and TM put out.

We get a lot of Starlings in the garden, a right bunch of Hooligans they are, if they are not chasing the other birds off the feeders, they are fighting among themselves! A quick 'Woof' from me soon sorts them out though.

Well, you've got to keep them on good behaviour or TM won't put out any more food.

That's why I am such a good puppy!

Bye for now, have a good weekend, I'm out with OTL on Saturday, trying to photograph snow on trees.

I wonder where we'll find them!

P.S.Don't forget the food and a drink of water for the birds!

There is something going on.

Hello All,

I think there is something going on and I'm not too sure what it is. Besides the snow getting deeper and the wind blowing a little harder, Old Two Legs and The Missus have been getting all sort of 'secret', y'know, whispering behind their hands and looking at me at the same time and giggling.

Maybe they need a worming tablet each!

We went out shopping yesterday to get some 'emergency stuff', what ever that is, they called into Tesco's and TM came out with a couple of plastic bags full of food.

Off we went to the 'Doggy Shop' and they got a ton of stuff in there for the birds. Also some other stuff they would not let me see, smelt good though!

I love going to the Doggy Shop, the smells are FANTASTIC! I could live on just the smells!

We got back home and OTL took me out for a walk, well, the snow stuck to me in lumps, big lumps and loads of them.

It was great having a roll in the snow, have a look at these photo's OTL took.

Rolling in the snow #1
Rolling in the snow #2
I jumped up at OTL's leg, which is my sign that I want to be carried on his shoulder for a while. It didn't last too long, he started to complain that the snow was going down his neck..............So?

When we got back, he reckoned I'd got a touch of the 'Dougal Snowballs'

I don't know about that but I did have to walk with legs further apart than normal!

Snowballs like Dougal!
When we got back home OTL washed me down with warm water to get rid of the snowballs.

After that, a good rub down with my own towel and I was as right as could be.

Then I ordered up breakfast and afterwards had my second morning snooze in the day bed!

Y'know, it's a hard life being a puppy!

See you all tomorrow!

Daisy.

Day #2 with the Snow Fairy

A Snowy Hello to you all,

I hope you all have been having fun in the snow. School has been closed so all the children have stayed home to play in the snow. Great fun they have on their sledges!

I had fun running around the football pitch, loads of snow!

Dancing with the Snow Fairy
I must tell you one thing I've found out.

If I stay like this for too long, I get a cold wet bottom!

See you all tomorrow!

Me & The Snow Fairy

Hello Everyone!

Did I get a Surprise this morning!

I opened the curtain and looked out in the garden, the Snow Fairy has returned and bought all her family with her. It must be a big family 'cos they have covered everywhere!

I couldn't wait to go out to say hello, it was BRILLIANT!

Me & My Mate The Snow Fairy
Old Two Legs put my coat on and took me out for a run across the fields, there were loads of Fairy's out there. I had such a time running and chasing them, I even rolled around on my back!

I went to see if the rabbits were coming out to play, but there was no answer to my woofing, maybe they were still in bed!

Anyone Home?
When I got home I was all wet and a little cold on my legs, so OTL gave me a good rubbing down with my very own special doggy towel followed by a good brush, all over.

It was, Absolute Heaven!

It has been a Great Day!

Hope you had fun as well!

I've seen Them!!!!

Oh WOW!

I've seen them! I've SEEN Them!!!

The Missus took me out for a walk across the fields and all of a sudden, there, floating down onto the ground came the Snow Fairy's, they were Beautiful!

I jumped around trying to catch them in my mouth but they seem to disappear too quickly. I saw them land on the ground and I jumped on them to hold one down with my paw so I can say 'Hello', but when I looked under my paw, they'd gone! Sneaky Snow Fairy's!!

Then all of a sudden, they all stopped flying around and were gone, I hope it was not something I did! TM says they will be back again soon and I'm not to worry.

Old Two Legs and I went out in the car, something to do with his work. On the way back we stopped off by the sea side and had a run along the beach and over the rocks.

I played Captain 'Dangerous' Daisy all over the rocks and pretended I had been marooned by my scurvy crew led by 'Old Salty Dog' Two Legs!

Marooned!
I had a big battle with him and I won, again!

Hard Tack  and water for him and no whisky, for a whole week!

What happened to the snow?

A Big Hello to you all,

I don't know about you but here we seemed have missed the snow. I've been looking out the window all day and no sign of it at all. I was looking forward to chasing the Snow Fairy's!

Still, OTL and I went out for a long run through the woods and met loads of other doggy's. Here is me making friends with a four legged carpet!

Me and a carpet!
We went all over the woods, OTL taking pictures.

Frosty Ferns.
I played at 'Pirates' again, Captain 'Dangerous' Daisy sails again!

Captain 'Dangerous' Daisy
It was fun, but not as much fun as if Holly was here as well.

OTL would not run along the tree trunk like Holly would!

See you all soon!

Brrrrr!

Hi To You All!

Oh Boy! was it cold or what! I went out first thing and all the puddles had turned to ice, slippy, slippy, I was skating and sliding around all over the place!

TM made me put my coat on to keep the cold out, jolly good idea that and OTL's sewing made it all snug and warm for me!

I went for a walk with OTL along the coast wall, cold, a little windy but fun. I was glad to get back home though. It was COLD!

My bottom is cold!

As a treat, TM got me some stewing steak and cooked it up for me, Absolutely Fabulous! I've not had steak all to myself before, I've retired to the bed and have spent the evening asleep.

Life can be so good sometimes!

See you later,

Daisy

Fun Friday

Hello Everyone,

I've had a good day today, OLT took me out this morning over the fields and it was COLD! There was frost on the ground and the plants and the wind seemed to go right through you!

I had some fun sniffing the frozen plants while OTL played around with his camera taking pictures of the plants. Me, I'd rather sniff them than take pictures!

Frosty Grass

Well, we have been out delivering OTL's work stuff and picking stuff up and also we stopped a few times for walkies. I got mugged by a couple of small puppies, about four months old, but they were BIG, I've never seen Jack Russell's so ENORMOUS! Honest!

We got back home in time for some lunch and a game of 'Tiggle My Tum'. OTL starts off by rubbing my head but I roll over and put my legs in the air and he tiggles my tummy and oh boy, does that make me laugh!

Tiggle my Tum!

This weekend we may get some snow, or so OTL says,

Not too sure what snow is but OTL says it's like 'Fairy's' that I love to chase. So, I'm looking forward to that!

Have a good weekend and see you soon
