Saturday's Aventure with Old Two Legs

Hi All!

It's Daisy & Holly here and a big HELLO to the 'Allhallows Croppers'!

We just love the weekend, Old Two Legs gets to do all his chores early and we get to go on an all day adventure, providing it's not raining!

This Saturday The Missus is off to her 'Card Making Crop' in the village. This is where she half empties her craft room into the car and goes off all day only to come back with one card she's made!

Still, it keeps her quiet!

OTL would not tell us what he had planned for us, but after our morning walk over the fields and some breakfast,he then disappeared outside to wash his car. We kept an eye on him from the window, just to make sure he didn't escape!

When that was done he collected us and off we went in the car and we ended up at the Woods!
This time he took us in by another gate and we went through the woods exploring new smells.

New Smells or is it a Badger?
We met up with a small horse, no, only joking, it was an Irish Wolf Hound. Me and Holly soon worked out how to get on level terms with him, we just went up in the world!

Eye to Eye!
OTL said it must cost a fortune to feed him but his owner said 'No, just one child a week, lightly roasted, and some dog biscuits!'

Holly and I thought that was funny and joked about how we could eat two children just for breakfast!

We went through a new gate and soon we were in another part of the park, there were paths and a pond!
Holly and I dashed along the pier to look over the end but OTL called us back, just in case Holly fell in, as she normally does when she gets near water!

Stay away from the water Holly!
Soon we were in very new territory, so Holly suggested we keep a look out for those Greasy Badgers!

Badger Watch!
Then we were enjoying the open ground and soon forgot about Badgers, it was more fun chasing each other around!

Holly chasing me!
Well, we went for miles, and we were getting tired little puppies and on the way back we saw two very strange looking Two Legs standing either side of the path, except that we couldn't see their legs.

The Guardians
OTL called them 'The Guardians' and said they were there to keep all puppies under control and make sure they behaved themselves.'

Didn't work on us!

At one time I thought we were lost but Holly has been studying Orienteering and was able to read the map!

I know where we are!
Well, to cut a long story short, we got lost. We followed Holly and ended up totally lost, I mean, like really lost!

It was a good job OTL recognised the seat we were sitting on or we'd still be looking for the way home!

This way or that way?
We were glad to get home, our dinner was waiting and we were getting a little peckish!

See you tomorrow.

Bye bye from Daisy & Holly.

A Busy Day Today

Hi Woofers!

We're back again.

You know, Old Two Legs has been telling us what a good life we lead..........really?

In fact he said we live a 'Right Dogs Life'................so? We're dogs aren't we?

I must admit, we do have a hard time keeping up the punishing schedule all through the day.

After a hard night of sleeping and woofing at the cats going past we struggle out of bed to greet Old Two Legs and The Missus. Then it's a quick run around the garden to check that all is OK, have a wee and back for a snooze before a light breakfast. Off up to OTL, just to make sure he has got up, then a quick 'After Wake Up Snooze' before going out for our morning run.

Back for a rub down and a good brush up by OTL before second breakfast, after which we go to our 'Day Bed' in the office for our  'After Breakfast Snooze'. A little later we wake and have a wander around the house, just to check TM is OK and no Badgers have crept in while we were snoozing.

Lunch time is here, so, a little lunch and a chance to mug OTL and TM for what they are eating before going out for our midday stroll around the football field. Back we come for any nibbles that are left and just in time for our 'Early Afternoon Snoozett'.

If we are lucky, around now is when we get to go for our daily 'Adventure', you know, charging around the Forest or over the Farm or down by the Riverside. Of course, on the way home we have another snooze, just to relax us after all that effort.

OTL wakes us up around 4pm so we can go with him to the post and the carriers. We enjoy the trip down there but get tired of woofing at all the people and dogs as we pass them. So we have a gentle snooze on the way back home.

When we get home, it's a quick rush around the house and garden to see if the Badgers have left any meat pies laying around before jumping onto the sofa for a 'Pre Dinner Snooze', waking only to try some mugging when OTL & TM sit down for their dinner.

After eating our dinner we settle down for an evening snooze to let our meal go down, then it's a run around the garden before going to bed.

Now, is that not a hard days work for little puppies like us?

A dogs life indeed, he doesn't know what a dogs life is, it's just go, go,go all day long!

Kissy Kissy,

Daisy & Holly

A day in the life of a hard working puppy!

Hi Woofers!

We're back!

We got taken out his morning by The Missus for a run over the fields. It must have poured down last night 'cos the puddles were almost as deep as our ankles!

It was fun splashing about and chasing each other around the edges. You see, the edges are all deep mud and soggy grass and we end up with muddy leg, but, afterwards, we run through the puddles again and wash off the mud!

When we have muddy paws it's like we got boots on and after a quick splash, our boots are gone!

Now I was getting a little warm after all this running and stopped for a quick drink from a clean looking puddle. Lap, lap I went, then I heard a tinkling sound behind me, sort of like you get when the tap is dribbling into the washing bowl.

I didn't think too much about it and after a couple of more laps, I turned around to see where the noise was coming from.

In the middle of the puddle was the hairy bottom of Holly, having a wee!

I mean, that girl's got no sense of timing, at least she could have waited for me to finish first!

That's the last time I have a drink without checking where she is first!

Later in the day we went out with OTL to the carriers and then off for an Adventure, to the Riverside Park!

We love this place, there is the smell of the river and the sea plus we get to meet loads of other dogs out for a run.

Today we met this massively large Alsatian, in fact it was as large as a Shetland Pony, I mean HUGE!

He had on one of those head leads, you know, the ones that clamp your mouth shut if you pull on the lead. I suppose they are to stop you biting everyone, he looked very fierce.

Well, we saw him on the path and as we got closer, he lay down as though he wanted a game and did not move as we got closer. Holly got to him first and sniffed his nose then she went down the side and sniffed his tail.

At this point she must have touched his tail with her nose 'cos up he jumps, like he's been bitten, by Holly!

Then he starts to whimper like a big girl, he was scared of us!

He obviously doesn't get out much, poor lad, so we were very polite little girls and said we were glad to see him and maybe next time we could have a game with him!

Then we said good bye and went roaring off down the path woofing at the rabbits and the birds!

Another fun day with OTL!

Bye bye for now.

A visit to The Boys

A Big Woofing Hello to you all again,

Daisy & Holly here to tell you what we did yesterday.

During the night we had a bit of a game. You see we had slept so much in the evening, come bed time, we couldn't get off to sleep. So, a game of 'Throw The Toy' was in order.

We both tossed the hard chew up in the air and it was banging on the cupboards and the door when it landed. I suppose that we also made a little noise chasing after it when it landed. After a short while Old Two Legs came and told us off, we pretended to be pleased to see him so he shouldn't bark so much at us!

He took our toys away and put us to bed then said that if we made any more noise he would come back and take our tails away and then we'd never be happy again.

The Missus told us that we were going to see The Boys!

We left OTL messing about in the office, getting in a real big mess!

Off we went to pick The Boys from school, there were loads of Mummy Two Legs standing around the gate waiting for everyone to come out of the doors! We saw The Boys and jumped up and down till they got to us. We then were able to give them a good licking, from ear to ear and ear to ear!

We went home and they showed us some television games they got for Christmas, there were loads of bangs and stuff, and if there are bangs then they must be good Holly says!

Coming home to OTL was good, we ran from the car and jumped all over him and he got licked from ear to ear as well!

He must have been glad to see us as well 'cos we got a doggy sausage each!

I must say, he has made a good job of the office, here is a picture of the new office, smart or what? Y'know, he even got the vacuum cleaner out, that doesn't happen very often!

OTL's new office
We reckon it looks dead smart,so does The Missus, she wants to move all her card making stuff in there and OTL has told her what she can do with that idea!

Just think of it, more bits of card all over the floor and sparkle stuff, and glue and peel offs and other horrible tasting things! Yuk! No Thanks!

We like the new office and we have our day beds in there and our toys as well. Where would we keep them all if TM moved in?

See you tomorrow, keep woofing, it keeps the cats away!

Tuesday To The Woods!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again.

Well, we did it. Old Two Legs was trying to eat his 'Wheaty Pops' this morning when he got both Holly and me jumping up and down woofing that we wanted to go to the Forest today!

Now OTL can't take too much loud noise first thing in the morning. You know, I don't think he is a morning person, too sleepy you see!

We badgered him all morning until he gave in and bundled us into the car. At the same time there was a parcel to go to the carriers and a load of rubbish for the council tip, which isn't a tip really, just a series of recycling containers.

After all his jobs were done we headed for the Forest. It is a super place for running around and we normally see some other dogs we make friends with.

Well this time we were on the look out for Badgers, so we got up good and high and kept a look out.

Looking out for Badgers
We didn't see any!

That's OK, we know that they are normally asleep during the winter time, but you never know, they may sneak out for a sandwich or a meat pie and a bottle of pop from the corner shop!

We had a good run through the trees and bushes, a couple of times we lost OTL and had to find him again just by the noise he was making with that dog whistle he has. It makes an awful tweeting sound!

Finding OTL
We had to get to him quickly, just to stop him making such a racket!

One thing I do like is the fence all around the Forest, it is put there to keep all those Badgers and Foxes in one place so we can chase them, when we find them. The only problem is, Badgers and Foxes have started to dig holes under the fence so they can go shopping, but they hide the holes. So, if Holly and me want to get out, we have to go through the gate. Yep! They put the catch too high for us to reach and we have to wait until OTL opens the gate for us.

Another Closed Gate!

Holly and I reckon that if we can find a big tree, we could swing from branch to branch like Tarzan and not bother with the gates.

Yeah! Holly can be Tarzan and I'll be Jane, now all we got to do is find a tree with some creepers on it!

Then me and Holly will swing down in front of OTL, guess what we would say?

Yeah, that's right!

Me Jane, You Lost Again!

That would be a great Gotcha on OTL! Now, where is a creeper?

See you all tomorrow,

Luv an Kisses from Daisy & Holly

Long Day in the Car

Hello!

We're back again!

Brr! It was cold this morning, the frost was that thick it looked like the Snow Fairy had returned. It was so cold that The Missus insisted we have our coats on for the early morning walk!

We were down at Grandmas place again today and had a BORING trip down there in the car.

There were no truck drivers we could poke our tongues out at.

The other dogs we saw and woofed at, totally ignored us!

All we could do was to sit there and sing songs all the way along the motorway!

When we'd finished at Grandmas, we stopped off at the football fields and had a run, in the daylight!

We chased Leaf Fairies and chased each other around in circles!

My Leaf Fairy!
It was great having a run in the daylight, it made a wonderful change!
Normally it's too dark to see any fairies.

Run Baby Run!
We were running so fast the Leaf Fairies couldn't keep up with us! OTL got left way behind, so, being good little puppies, we waited for him.

OTL takes so long to get here!
But we only waited five seconds!

I'm not too sure what OTL has got planned for us tomorrow, maybe a run around the Farm or maybe the Forest, yeah, we haven't been up the Forest for some time. I think we should have a word with OTL in the morning. Just about breakfast time! That's the best time to talk to him 'cos he is still half asleep and sort of dopey!

See you again tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Sunday Sun Day

Hello Peoples!

Here we are again and have we had fun today.

The Missus took us out for the early morning walk, a quick run around the fields 'cos it was just too frosty to hang about!

We got back and Old Two Legs decided that we should both have our worming tablet. First he tried the, have a chew girls, No Thanks. Then, crush and wrap it in a bit of chicken, No Way. Then it was the jam trick, On Your Bike!

Then TM stepped in and tried some ice cream, Yeees Pleeese!

Now while we are on about ice cream.

What goes with ice cream?

Beaches, sea side, running, getting sand everywhere, digging holes.

So, we went up to OTL and persuaded him to take us out to the beach, Leysdown in fact. When we got there the tide was out, so, we got wet.

Getting Wet

Then there's the beach.

Beach Babe

Making Friends.

Making Friends

Running Around.

Running Around the Beach

Holly tried burying this!

Who left this here?

And of course, we just have to show you Old Two Legs!

Old Two Legs

Then we went home for a snack and a sleep!

This is what Sunday is all about!

Bye for now, see you tomorrow.

Daisy & Holly

P.S. OTL says that the 'funny' photos are done using a 'Fish Eye Lens', he'll try anything to show off!

The Weekend Starts Here!

Yoo Hoo Everyone,

Daisy & Holly back again!

I love Saturday, there is always a chance that Old Two Legs will take us for an adventure of some sorts.

Today started out all rainy and wet when we went for our morning run across the fields. OTL was sort of tip toeing around all the big puddles on the path. Holly and me just waded across them, I mean, trying to go around them meant wading through the mud!

We did a 'Gotcha' on OTL. About half way across the field I sometimes get OTL to carry me on his shoulder so I can see what is across the fields. OTL is over six feet tall and I am only 12 inches at my shoulders! So you can see, the view from his shoulders is much better.

Holly did the 'Pick me up' dance. She jumps up at his leg and pushes hard. So, OTL bends down and scoops Holly up and onto his shoulder. She then has a good look around.

Next, I jump up at his leg and he crouches down so I can jump up onto his leg and then onto his other shoulder.
Fifteen Kilos of puppy and two gallons of muddy wet fur!

He really is an old softy.

It was not until we both stuck a wet paw down his nice warm, dry, soft neck, did he crouch down so we could jump off again!

Yeah! Gotcha OTL!

As we expected, OTL took us for an adventure, but close to home. We went down the beach just about high tide. That meant the sand had almost disappeared and we were left with rocks and grass.

No problem, we just raced around on the rocks and grass!

Beach Puppies
We went all down the beach 'till we got to the stream, OTL decided not to go any further, so we had a paddle in the sea.

Then OTL tried to get all creative with a WWII Pill Box that was slowly being washed out to sea.
That Sinking Feeling
Not sure if he did it justice, maybe he should try again but with a tripod next time!

Holly ran along the sea wall until she ran out of wall and path!

Where's the path and wall?
It was washed away, just like the ground that used to support the Pill Box!

Still, a great time was had by us all and we were so tired when we got back, we even slept through OTL having his diner!

See you tomorrow, maybe with another adventure!

Friday's Our Day

Hello all,

Daisy & Holly back again, a little sore on my shoulder and Holly has had some bad news!

Today started off well, we went out with Old Two Legs for a run across the fields. It was chilly and there was this misty sort of rain. No real problem to us super fit pair of puppies!

We started off across the field, I thought I saw a fox and got almost out of sight before deciding it was nothing but a plastic bag blowing in the wind. Holly had chased after me but gave up earlier cos' she wanted a wee.

Half way around the field the rain came down a little heavier and a little wetter, by the time we got home we were soaked through to our skins, so was OTL 'cos he's got more skin than both of us!

As normal, a good rub down with our towel and a brush and we were as right as rain!

We spent most of the day in with OTL in his office, just snoozing, waking only for a snack and to mug him for a little of his lunch.

Expert Snoozers
You don't realise just how much skill there is in snoozing mid morning!

Then it was time to go to the vet...........! I'd almost forgotten about that!

You could tell it was an important visit, The Missus came along as well and brought two leads with her, serious visit this was going to be!

First of all we got weighed, I was 6.5kg, Holly was a whopping 7.4kg!

I have always said she is a 'Porkie Puppy' and gets too much food, I mean, she is the Master at Mugging!

The vet says she should only eat what I eat and she should settle down to a sensible weight.

I got the Booster injection, it wasn't as bad as I remember, but best of all, Holly had one as well! OTL said that he wanted to have us synchronised, whatever that means, but we will both have to have it again at the same time next year!

On the way home we stopped for a run at the Country Park next to the river. It was pouring down, but after the vets, it was great. We were running along the path by the river when around the corner came six big Labrador dogs on leads with three women looking after them. Holly and I were running 'free' 'cos OTL trusts us to come when he calls us, (Fat Chance!) The funny thing was, as we got next to the Labradors OTL says in a loud voice, 'Come on Girls, leave them alone!'

I mean, who is he kidding?

But it did look good as we left them alone and ran after OTL!

See you tomorrow, it may even stop raining!

Bye Bye for now,

Daisy & Holly

What a Yuk Day!

Hello to you all,

D & H back again.

Do you ever get those days when it really doesn't happen? You know, jump out of bed all bright and breezy, and land in mud up to your knees and you spend the rest of the day trying to run in the stuff!

Well, me and Holly have had one of those days, it started out with The Missus deciding to take us out for our morning walk. We got all dressed up in our nice warm jackets and went out the front door.

It was raining!

Not the fine spray type of rain, but the big, wet, large rain drops that seem to hit you and go straight through your fur to the skin without stopping!

YUK! I just hate it when it trickles down my tail!

TM tried to take us over the fields, no way! We both sat down on our backsides, pointed our noses to the ground and refused to walk another step!

We were NOT going in all that mud and water. It would be more like a swim than a walk!

Well, TM knew that we must want a wee, so she took us over the football field, not so bad but still wet and muddy.

Pretty quickly we did our business and had a run while TM found the Poo Bin, then we headed back home.

Old Two Legs gave us a good rub down with the towel, (Holly and me that is, not TM, she does that herself!)

Then after a long slow brush we looked lovely again.

Every time we looked out of the door today it was still raining!

We went to the back door and it was even raining in the garden!

I was almost wishing it were colder again so the Snow Fairy would come back!

We've spent most of the day chasing each other around the house and barking at OTL so he would play 'Tug' with us.

We got to remembering what it was like last Spring Time and when we first got close to those silly sheep.

OK, What do we do now?
We are both looking forward to the Spring, can't wait for some sunshine on our backs and this time we we'll know what to say to the sheep.................Blah Blaaah Blaaaaaaah!

Bet you didn't know we can speak Sheep!

Tomorrow we have the vets and I don't fancy that at all, I've got an injection to look forward to plus a worming pill, Holly doesn't care, it's just a worming tablet for her!

Spring is on it's way and already the mud has gone down a little bit!

Bye bye for now and we will see you tomorrow,

Daisy & Holly
