What a Wet Day!

Hi All,

D&H back with you.

Just like the blues song,

Woke up this morning
got out of bed
went for walkies and felt the rain upon my head!

I'm going back to bed, yeh!
no rain for me
Gonna spend time in bed wishing it was, sunny!

Aw, come on, it's not that bad, remember I'm only a puppy!

We spent the day snoozing, eating carrots, mugging The Missus for chicken strips and sitting at the window waiting for Old Two Legs to return. You see he has been out today climbing up tall towers and looking at things.

Holly and me like going up in the loft when he goes up there but that is about as far as we want to go, we won't bother with anything higher thank you!

When he came back, OTL took us down the Sea Wall again and on the way we pretended we were driving instead of OTL.

Holly Woofing along the road!
Holly crashed the car twice 'cos she was too busy woofing at horses by the side of the road and OTL reckons I should be booked for speeding!

We don't care, when we got out of the car we spent most of the time running up and down the beach. On the way back to the car Holly ran downhill and said she got to 'Warp Factor Three', what ever that is!

Warp Factor Three!
It was good going out with OTL, we get some fresh air and a run, he gets fresh air and cold!

Maybe he should run as fast as us and then he'll keep warm!

Talking of warm and sunshine, we saw a swallow fly over us, a sure sign the summers a' coming !

See you tomorrow, (we have been promised sun shine all day!)

A New Adventure!

Hello All!

D&H back again with some more fun and games.

After Mothers Day we had a late morning, we got up for a wee and a woof then went back to bed for our 'after getting up' snooze, we then over slept and had an extra half hour in bed!

Come on, having a lie in on a Monday morning, that is luxury!

Sun shiny morning was spent helping The Missus clear out the shed. There were loads of stuff from the caravan and they all brought back good memories of holidays and stuff.

There were also the spiders who live in the shed, big hairy ones with hob nail boots on!

Old Two Legs and TM took us out to the New Park where we met several other dogs, including Benny who was trying to teach us to dance!

Dancing Queen
I had a look at the map, while Holly was off having a sniff, but I still couldn't work out where I was!

The Map's Upside Down!
We made friends with a little Two Legs as well, Holly was all big and brave and let her give her a stroke!

Holly's new friend!
Holly said she was OK and did not pull your fur, so I let her stroke me as well!

My Friend as well!
After all this running around we got home a very tired pair of puppies and after diner we spent most of the evening mugging OTL for shortbread and then snoozing.

We hope your day has gone well, ours has!

See you tomorrow,

Mothers Day for The Missus & Us

Hi All!

We're back again.

A Big Happy Birthday Woof to MaryB and Hi to Dougal, Yo Lads! have a Grrreat day and not to much of the cooking sherry!

What a super day this has been, we woke up good and early to woof off the cats and The Missus joined in with us, first she woofed at the cats then woofed at us for woofing at the cats in the first place!

So, as she was awake, we jumped up and gave her a good Mothers Day, wake up lick on the ear.

Well, Holly had one ear and I had the other!

What better way to start the day than that?

After our early walk we spent the morning in the garden, playing chase with the birds and chewing on a carrot, the sun was bright and warm on our backs and I even got a little bit of a sun tan on my tummy.

It was either that, or I might have rolled in something a bit grubby!

Just before lunch time Old Two Legs and TM got dressed up in their 'going out' clothes, Holly thought we might be left alone again, but no, we got to go in the big car and off we went to Holly's old house. It was fun seeing the boys again and everyone went out to have a 'Mothers Day Lunch'. We couldn't go because we are not allowed into the building, so, we had our own Mothers Day Lunch and a snooze on the new furniture which we can only go on when everyone goes out and leaves us alone!

Also, we got given a 'Meaty Postman', it was a meat flavoured biscuit in the shape of a Postman. It tasted wonderful, Holly and me took turns in chomping our way through that while everyone was out.

Mighty Meaty Matey!
It was a relaxing day really, eating sleeping, running around and finally a snooze before going to bed.

I reckon we got Mothers Day sorted you know, if there are any more this year we'll know exactly what to do next time!

See you tomorrow!

Auntie Sheila to the Rescue

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again.

Hello to Trev Cannon who has signed up as a follower, good on you Trev!

What a super day! It started out a little cloudy today but soon cleared up to let the sun out to play. Just like us, we went out with Old Two Legs to have a play on the beach at high tide.

High Tide Sniffin
It's great at High Tide 'cos all the sniffs are in one line along the beach, and, you don't get your paws all muddy!

We stopped to watch a fisherman trying to teach his worms to swim. Just as he was going to help the worm by throwing it out into the deep water, the worm jumped off the end. So the fisherman had to get another worm out of the box!

Worm has second thoughts about swimming!
We thought it was a great laugh, until Holly suggested that it would be a good way to teach me how to swim!

As I said to her................On Yer Bike Sister!

A little while later we met up with Royalty, in fact it was the Queen.

OTL took a photograph to prove it!

Red Tailed Bumblebee Queen
Not the best picture in the world but you can see her tongue dipping into the gorse flower.

When we got back Holly wanted to write a story about the Queen Bee but found that she couldn't keep awake. She said it was writers block, I reckon it was too much lunch!

Holly gets writers block, on a full stomach!
Last night OTL and The Missus went out for the evening and left us all on our own, again!

It wasn't so bad, we had the whole house to ourselves, but around ten we wanted to have a wee before going to bed. Holly was getting a little uncomfortable, then the front door opened and Auntie Sheila came in to let us into the back garden!

She is an absolute angel, so we gave her a big kiss!

Certainly saved Holly from making a mess in the kitchen!

See you tomorrow!

Friday is Chew Day

Hello All,

D&H back again.

We love Friday's 'cos that's the day when the food man calls and brings food for Old Two Legs and The Missus and, if we have been good girls, a new Rawhide Chew for us!

After TM has packed away the food she calls us to her.

Actually, we are only just outside the kitchen door, but we must play the game!

In we charge, to be presented with a single Rawhide Chew. We both grab it and run off, side by side, up stairs to OTL's office. There we growl and grumble at each other until one of us, (normally Holly) gets the chew to herself. After a while we swap over. I'm not sure which is the best, get it first with the 'New Chew Taste' or second with the 'Soggy end chewed to perfection'.

It was a little cloudy to start off with but later when we went out delivering with OTL, the sun poked it's face through the clouds.

On the way back we stopped at the New Park again, OTL and us said 'Hello' to the 'Not Neddies'. We had to shout because they were in a small paddock away from where we saw them last time.

You know, they didn't even acknowledge us!

That's not very polite and Holly said it's well known that Not Neddies are rude really!

Then we went around to the pond there watched Billy showing off and trying to teach us some trick diving moves in the pond, he was really good!

Flying Dog!

Missed the Ball!

Holly said she could do that and went into the water up to her knees, then she declared it was too cold for her to do proper diving and came out again, what a wimp!

Too Cold For Swimming!
We found the Tee Pee and hung around looking for Indians but they must have been out chasing cowboys or a buffalo or even the 'Not Neddies'!

No Indians here!

After all that, it was home for an afternoon snooze in the office until dinner time.

More chicken for dinner tonight and some new super expensive biscuits that are supposed to clean our teeth at the same time!

What a laugh, we clean ours with our own tooth brush and toothpaste that TM got from the Doggy Shop!

See you tomorrow!

A Woofing Good Day!

Hello Out There!

D&H back again, full of fun and mischief!

It was a bit blowy this morning, Old Two Legs took us out for our morning stroll around the 'Estate', when we turned the corner by the shops, the wind hit us straight on the muzzle! It was the bits of rain in the wind that turned us off the idea of a walk and we tried pulling backwards so we could go home again. OTL was having none of that and marched us up to the fields as normal.

It was OK after we had got onto the field, the rain stopped but the wind carried on blowing a bit, best of all, it wasn't that cold!

We got to the horses and saw then hiding against the wall on one side of the paddock, we didn't woof at them this morning, in fact we turned around and went back along the path again, we don't get caught twice!

Auntie Angela came around this morning and brought Sophie with her, they were here to splash the glue pot around again, it is just a blur of arms and glue brushes when they get going! Needless to say, The Missus was joining in and going crazy at the same time. It amazes us how they can all do that, AND, gas away at the same time!

We escaped!

OTL took us out in the car as he had some jobs to do and afterwards we went down to the New Park.

We were wandering around catching up on the sniffs when OTL shot off the path and headed across the field. We followed, thinking there might be some fun happening, when, there in front of us, standing together, were the oddest looking 'Neddies' we had ever seen!

No, we are Not Neddies!
Well, for a start, we weren't going anywhere near those things without them being on their lead and we told OTL that!

Wot The .......?
OTL said they were  Alpaca or Llama's, he thinks they are Alpaca's but he's not sure. We were not sure either and when we got closer they sort of 'Whistled' at us and stamped their foot.

Oooh!' said Holly, 'Don't they get cross quickly!'

Whistling Alpaca!
It was then that Holly cracked a joke,

'Where does Al-paca his lunch?..........Under his Llama of course!'

I swear that girls getting worse as she gets older!

See you tomorrow!

A Horse Laugh Today!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with a report on todays fun and games.

First of all, The Missus took us out for our morning walk around the Fields.

When we go out with Old Two Legs, we go the shortest way to the field, just up the road. When TM takes us we have to walk for a greater distance on the footpath because she goes sort of anti clockwise. Well this means we get to see the horses first.

Normally we just say hello with a woof because they are across the other side of the paddock. This morning, we did our normal thing and we were let off our lead at the beginning of the footpath and we went to say 'hello' to the 'Neddies', as normal, they were across the other side of the paddock, so we woofed a 'hello' and they just turned their heads to see who was making a noise.

Holly, being Holly, decided to have some fun and ask a silly question, like, 'If horses are so clever, why do they stay locked up in the field instead of galloping all over the green fields?' or something like that.

As we were looking through the fence, we did not see another horse standing behind the tree, he cleared his throat and said 'Good Morning Ladies', good and loud!

Well I was so surprised, I took off like a rocket on legs, Holly was half way through the woof, but when the horse cleared his throat, her 'woof' sort of subsided into a small '..oof'!

She spun around, fell over onto her bottom, rolled over and shot down the path towards me!

I'm sure the horse was chuckling, but we were too far away to hear!

OTL took us out for a walk around mid morning 'cos the computer was making a funny noise and he had to get a new bit for it. While we were out he took us into the 'Doggy Shop' !

Oh, the smells in that place, must be like doggy heaven, they were wonderful!

OTL got some biscuits and some dry chicken strips, one of our most favourite snacks and while he went off to buy his computer bit, he left us in the car with a big Chicken Strip each!

Now if you want us to be all attentive and listening to every word you say................try chicken strips!

See you tomorrow!

Guard Duty

Hello Woofers,

D&H here again.

We have been very busy today, first there was the overnight attack by 'Marauding Pussy Cats'! About two in the morning there was a crash outside the window, we reckon it was 'Hissin Chrissy' and her mates, falling off the dustbin and landing in a pile of old stuff that is due to go out for disposal. What with the noise she made and the noise we made, there was a possibility that all the street heard us.

We reckon that everyone must sleep sounder in their beds knowing we are 'On Patrol'!

We went out with OTL to watch him do some work today, we stood guard in the car and made sure no one got near his tools and stuff. We growled at the men in the yard and woofed at the crows making a noise in the trees.

We were so good at the Guarding Bit that Holly wants to put our name on the car as well. Big bold lettering, 'D&H Guarding', that should get us loads of work!

D&H Guarding!
After we had finished,  we stopped off at The Farm for a run around, we thought we heard a fox across the field and stood to listen and see if there was any more movement in the hedgerow. After a few minutes we got fed up and carried on sniffing for rabbits, the fox must have sneaked off  'cos he saw us!

Is that a Fox down there?
Remembering how I got lost yesterday, I tried to track OTL and Holly by just using my nose.

It worked!

Keeping my nose to the ground I was able to pick up OTL's scent. It's a bit hard to describe but I know it as soon as I smell it!

I can smell you!
Holly thinks that on a good day OTL smells like a mixture of Old Leather Boots, Sweaty Socks, Twigletts and Malt Whisky and Short Bread!

We don't care, as long as we get our walk and good food and a bowl of fresh cold water, he can smell of what he likes!

See you tomorrow!

Hill Top Fun

Hello Fans!

Daisy & Holly back to see you again,

We are getting used to this missing hour, we even went to bed an hour earlier last night, mind you, Old Two Legs turning the TV and the lights off helped!

We were up good and early this morning, a couple of wet tongues in OTL's ears is an amazing wake up call! He make a sort of 'Arrgh' sound followed by a whimper as he tries to bury his head under the blanket, no chance! We follow him under the blanket and he goes so far down he falls out the bottom of the bed!

By then The Missus is awake and complaining that the bed clothes are being pulled off the bed and she wasn't ready to wake up yet. Oh Yeah? With a couple of puppies heading her way she soon changes her mind!

Works every time!

We went out with OTL delivering some stuff and then headed up to the top of the hill. We had been there once before but it was wet and muddy then, but now, it was dry and full of rabbit poo! (OK for a small chew).

Nibble some rabbit poo anyone?
We had fun trying to run with one ear in the air but it was too difficult to do it all the time!
My right ear up!
Holly doing it as well!

We found one place that OTL said looked like the rabbit hole in 'Alice in Wonderland.

Well, we looked at what he was talking about and reckoned the rabbit must have been at least ten feet tall!

Scary Rabbit Holes!

Enough of rabbits that size and OTL messing about with the picture, if you look at it too long your brain hurts!

We had fun running up and down the hill and at one time I got lost, so Holly woofed a couple of times to let me know where she was.

Come on Daisy!
I must really start to use my nose to find out where OTL has wandered off to!

We are going to bed early tonight 'cos tomorrow we are going out with OTL on one of his jobs, so we have got to look after his tools!

Yeh, Guard Dogs R Us!

Bye bye for now and we will see you tomorrow.

Seriously Lazy Sunday

Hello Woofers,

D&H back again and there is something wrong with the clocks!

Did anyone else notice that we seem to have lost a whole hour this morning? We woke up at our normal time and found that someone had nicked an hour off the clocks!

After yesterdays fun and games we decided to have a 'snoozy' day today, not too much running about, just a gentle stroll around the garden to check everything is doing what it was supposed to be doing, flowers growing, birds fighting over the seed, Blue Tits nesting and Collared Doves chasing each other around the roof tops and cats staying out of our garden!

Back in for breakfast and then off to the 'day bed' in Old Two Legs office for our normal after breakfast 'snoozett'!

Now, us puppies are highly qualified in the art of serious 'snoozing' and 'doing nothing' and that's what we have been doing. We even fell asleep during the replay of the Grand Prix motor racing that OTL and TM were watching!

We had our sun bathe in the garden and fell asleep in the sun. Then got up, went inside, had some afternoon nibbles, and fell asleep again!

Come on, your only jealous, admit it, no cleaning, ironing, cooking, car washing, washing up, nose wiping and making tea or coffee, what's wrong with a 'dogs life'!

Yep, being a puppy ain't all bad you know and we even got chicken for dinner tonight!

See you tomorrow for some new adventure!
