The Sneakest Trick of all!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy and Holly back again.

Now, you know we are not  the sort of doggies that complain all the time, we normally will rub along with whatever The Missus or Old Two Legs wants, providing it doesn’t interfere too much with what we want.

So far it has worked and they are becoming well trained!

Today they tried to pull one of the sneakiest tricks known to Two Legs or Puppies!

We were given an advent calendar each and although the contents are not much to write home about, we play along with them and join in the fake surprise every morning. Even though we were getting a little fed up with the doggy biscuit that we know is going to be behind the door!

Not this morning. This morning we opened the door to find that we both had a Worming Tablet!

A WORMING TABLET!!!!

I ask you, just how sneaky can you get!

As normal, it ended up costing them loads of doggy choc drops, doggy sausages and chicken bits!

That will teach them!

First thing today we were out over the Sea Wall woofing at the Worm Man, not that he woofed back; too busy getting his boot out from the mud!

Old Sticky Boots!
The Boys came over to stay for a couple of days. It was great seeing them and Holly and I gave them a super big ‘Hello Lick’ when they came through the door.

We went out with them at lunch time and even though we told them about the mud and how they would sink into it if they walked on it, they didn’t believe us and just had to have a try!

Here, I'm Sinking!
It was a good job they got the mud off their shoes ‘cos OTL would not have let them get in the car and he would have made them walk home!

A bit later, after lunch, we all got in the car and went to see Auntie Zoe and her new House. It is always fun to see Paul and the Boys, Ethan and Finley, and this time Ethan did not grab my tail!

The pair of them are ‘Pickles’ as OTL would say but they are good fun really!

Me and My Cuz!
We were watching them having some afternoon tea and praying that they would drop some food for us to eat, but no such luck, it either went in their mouths or all around it!

Now, where are the Dogs?
We had a snoozy journey back in the car and are ready for our evening snooze, before going to bed proper!

So, bye for now!

See you tomorrow.

Daisy & Holly

Wet Snow and Woofers!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.

We have been sort of all mixed up today. Old Two Legs took us out for our early morning stroll along the beach and this time we really did see a fox and we chased him all across the marshy bit and got soaking wet!

Unfortunately, he got away and all OTL got was an out of focus shot of his tail disappearing into the distance!

Next time Foxy!
Still, at least we know where he hangs out, so we will be after him next time!

We were wearing our warm coats and looked dead smart. OTL even took some photos of us as we were rushing about all nice and warm!

Speedy Puppies!
Lunch time we met up with some big woofers we had met before so we passed the time of day and had a sniff before going our own ways!

Hi Man!
Holly misbehaved, as the big dog was getting near she shouted 'Hi Man, How's it Hanging?'

It's a good job that he was a little deaf or she might have got a telling off!

It started to rain and we were saying that we were getting too wet, OTL said a few degrees colder and it would be snow and we wouldn't complain then!  He might be right!

The Missus and Auntie Sheila have been out all day today at the local Youth Club doing some demonstration card making and helping them to make Christmas Cards. She said that there was loads of glitter and glue splashed all over the place and even Auntie Sheila got covered in glitter as well, Seriously Sparkly!

OTL has been busy today so a lot of time has been spent catching up on our snoozing!

Tonight we have some chicken and biscuits followed by a carrot, fresh out of the fridge, one of our favourite evening chews, other than OTL's shortbread!

Bye for now, off to bed early 'cos The Boys are coming over tomorrow, so that means loads of walks and kicking the ball around!

Daisy & Holly

Foxes, Great White Egret and Doggies!

Hi Woofers,

Daisy & Holly back with you on a cold and wet Sunday!

We have been down to the beach this morning with Old Two Legs, who normally is too slow to catch a cold, compared to our 4X4 puppy speed!

This morning it seemed to have worked in his favour!

We leapt from the car and ran at top speed around the brambles to catch the rabbits out of their holes. Today, there were none above ground and we thought that it was 'cos it was too cold, but no, there was a better reason!

OTL sort of fell out of the car, as normal, staggered across the grass path and spotted a fox hurrying out of the brambles we had run around! It rushed across the open grass and disappeared into the bushes on the other side!

So it looks like we scared the pudding out of this fox and we didn't even know it! As it was early'ish in the morning we had our excuse!

Too early for Foxes!

We met up with Barney, the dog who's ball we stole the other day, OTL gave the ball back and we all had a game of chase.

Yo Barney!
We were having fun, until a couple of big Labradors came bounding down the hill followed by another smaller dog of unknown parentage!

Mixing with the Big Dogs!

After a while we all got on and were chasing each other and doing some 'Hello Sniffin'!

Holly and Barney had a good game of chase and Holly had learn't how to do my 'High Speed Turn' and used it on Barney.
Barney getting out of shape!
Holly did a super turn and Barney got well tangled up with his legs! A seriously out of shape puppy!

Later when we had got home, we had a meeting and decided that we would leave the Great White Egret alone today, mainly 'cos it had not been reported as being seen and on top of that, it was raining!

So, back to bed for some serious Sunday Snoozing!

Our afternoon walk was a bit cold, although the rain had stopped, it was still windy, so, no hanging about!

Holly and I were both racing along the sea wall, and of course, OTL just had to take a picture!

Boo to Holly!
Boo to Daisy!

This evening we have had our chicken dinner and had a go at mugging OTL and The Missus for some of their dinner, as you do!

So, now to settle down for a snooze and some shortbread, if OTL gets it out!

See you tomorrow.

Daisy & Holly

Dragons and Squirrels

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again.

We have been with Old Two Legs all today. First thing this morning it was a run on the beach 'cos the tide was right out. It was frosty here and more than a bit cold!

In fact it was so cold that when Holly and I breathed out, we had smoke coming out of our mouths!

OTL said we looked like Dragons!

Well, that was it, we rushed around pretending we were fierce dragons chasing rabbits!

There was one moment when a young Labrador came bounding down the hill towards us and I stood up on my back legs and roared at him like a dragon would. Trouble was, he didn't know what a dragon was and he just thought I had a bad cough!

Two Little Dragons
It's a good job we were not breathing real fire or he would have had his tail set on fire!

OTL was busy working this morning and The Missus had gone out to her 'Crop Thingy'  so we had plenty of time for a super snooze!

Later, we went out to deliver and post stuff but OTL said we were going to have some fun 'cos he fancied a walk in the Forest! Great! We haven't been there for ages so we were getting all excited about that!

As soon as we were of the lead I was after the foxes and badgers and squirrels. Holly went charging into the undergrowth looking for rabbits and OTL found some Fungi!

A fine bunch of Fungi!
OTL thinks that this Fungi looks 'Pretty', nice bright colours! We told him that it smelt funny!

While OTL and Holly were messing about, I spotted a squirrel! I just stood still and watched where it was going, jumping from bough to bough and tree to tree. Trouble was, it didn't come down to earth, but I still watched him and I stood very still!

Squirrel Spotting!
Do you think he would come down? No he wouldn't, he just sat up in the tree and called me names!

Sneaky Squirrel!
Well if he won't come down, then Holly and OTL and me won't play with him!

When we got home, Holly and me had a snooze while we waited for TM to come from her 'Croppy Thingy Wottsit'!

We gave TM a big 'Welcome Home ' lick and cuddle and even managed to knock her glasses off!

A snoozy evening ahead with TM and OTL and we expect an early night 'cos we saw that the Great White Egret has been seen down at Oare Marshes, so, we may get an adventure yet!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

P.S. OTL sez that he is sorry if the colours are a bit out but he is working on the laptop but it is connected up to an old screen where the colours are all out of tune with the computer!

Excuses excuses!

Yahoo! The Snow Fairy has returned!

Ho, ho, ho, Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again.

Guess what? We were out this morning with Old Two Legs and as we dashed out of the car at the Sea Wall we saw the Snow Fairy! It was wonderful, big flakes of snow flying on the wind and some even landed on my nose!

We rushed around to the rabbit holes and shouted that the Snow Fairy was here but none of the rabbits came out to see, I suppose they were still in bed!

Mixed in with the snow were some rain drops and they were cold! Like, very cold!

We had a run on the beach but decided it was too windy and cold to have our normal long walk, so we cut across the field and back towards the car. OTL put the heater on as soon as we got back in the car and we also had a rub down with the doggy towel!

I must admit, I was having a little shiver on the way back, so, for our lunch time walk I got OTL to dig out our Doggy Coats. They at least keep the worse off our backs  and we look dead smart in them!

Lambs Heart for breakfast and then off to the office to wait for OTL to return from having new tyres fitted to the car. You know, he sneaked back in and got up to the top of the stairs before we heard him. Sneaky OTL!

The morning was spent having our 'After breakfast snoozette' and Holly was cuddled up with her 'Baby Puppy'.

Holly & Puppy!

She really is a big softy!

Lunch time came and OTL took us out again, but this time we were in our winter coats!

We both looked dead smart!

The only trouble was, no snow!

Not to worry, OTL took them off and we had a good run around!

We saw a big flock of some sort of birds flying around, they looked super as they flew around and without bumping into each other as well! Holly and I can't do that!

Loads of Birdies!
The Missus went out Baby Sitting this afternoon, just before OTL's laptop computer went all wobbly on him. As it is to do with his work, he had to order another one from the Computer Shop, poor OTL, we do hate when he has to hand over his credit card number, he gets all upset and cries a lot!

It didn't stop him from giving us Lambs Heart for dinner tonight and a little shortbread when he had a 'slurp' later on, just to help him get over the paying out for the new laptop!

Off to bed now as we have loads of stuff to do tomorrow and if it's not too cold, we may go chasing the Great White Egret of Oare Marshes!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

More Rushing Around Today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.

The nearer we get to Christmas the busier it seems to get! Old Two Legs has been dashing around getting stuff made up and delivered. The Missus Has been on the 'Social Whirl' meeting up with Mike and Trevor, then it's over to the boys in the afternoon!

We, of course, have had our tails rushed off trying to keep up with them! I mean, get up out of bed, eat breakfast, go for a walk, chase rabbits, hunt foxes, shout at rats and on top of that we have to make sure the house is kept clear of burglars!

When we went on our walk with OTL, he forgot to swap his lens over from the Fish Eye lens he had on yesterday at Zoe's place.
So, no telescopic shots, just strange looking views of the sea!

Tides Out!

He says they are 'artistic' we just think he's potty!

The Earth Looks Round!
Every one knows the earth is flat but his picture make it look like it is round, just how daft can you get?

Holly was given a soft puppy toy by The Missus, she brought it back from The Boys house. Tom said that it was Holly's when she was a little puppy. When TM gave it to her she jumped about and we had a good game of chase with it. Then Holly settled down and gave it a cuddle and a lick, them she bit it's bottom!

Chicken tonight and then a game with OTL!

Tomorrow is also going to be a rush around as well if we believe OTL!

So, early to bed.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (With her cuddly puppy)

Busy Busy Busy!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here

It has been a busy old day. We have been out most of the day with Old Two Legs.

First of all there was our morning walk, we saw a man collecting seaweed to make into Christmas Decorations!

He's pinching all the seaweed!
Then when we went out for the lunch time walk OTL spotted that pesky Green Woodpecker on the path but sitting on top of the shelter nearby, there was his mate laughing at us!

I Fancy a Bike Ride!
and his mate said......

Your on Your Own Then!

After that we were out in the car delivering stuff.

Next was a small worry, we headed off the wrong way down the motorway, you know, away from home instead of towards home!

I was getting in a bit of a panic, was OTL lost or are we going on holiday without our swimming trunks?

Not to worry, we ended up a Auntie Zoe's new house for a little installation work well OTL was doing it while we played with Ethan and Finley! It was OK but sometimes they play a little rough and grab my tail!

We worked really hard and in the end we left OTL to finish up while Paul and us had a rest!

It's All Hard Work!
OTL took this with his Fish Eye Lens that is why it looks 'Wobbly', just like him!

We ended up getting home rather late and had to rush our dinner so we had time to mug OTL for some of his venison burgers, or as he calls them, 'Bambi Burgers'!

So, here I am, half past eleven bashing away on the keyboard while everyone else is asleep, I must be potty!

See you tomorrow, I'm off to bed.

Daisy & Holly (Asleep)

Fillet Steak and a Purloined Ball

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.

It has been a busy day today, not for Holly and me but for Old Two Legs and The Missus.

First of all TM was out early to have her hair clipped. Now when Holly and I get our hair done we get an all over wash and shampoo, then we get clipped and after that we get a warm blow dry plus have our nails clipped.

When TM comes back from the parlour, she doesn't look like she has had a wash at all and her nail aren't clipped an' she don't smell any different from when she went out!

We reckon she doesn't get the 'Full Treatment' like we do when OTL takes us!

Down on the beach today the tide was right in, you know just at that point when it can't get up the beach any further and starts to go back.

So, just for a change, OTL took some pictures of the waves flopping onto the beach. They aren't too bad, for an amateur!

You know he was so long down on his knees that Holly got worried and went and gave him a cuddle, just in case he had hurt himself!

High Water Mark
Holly picked up a small stick and waved it at me, saying she would never let me play with it at all. Well, that was it, off I went chasing after her and I managed to grab it from her, then she got it back, then I got it back and all the time it was getting smaller!

We both decided that it was the others fault the stick got broken and we had an argument, she called me names and I called her a 'Lump' and that's when another fight started!

It's My Stick!
After the fight we saw a dog in the distance and decided to join forces, just in case, so the stick was forgotten, we had more important business coming down the path!

Who's That Then?

Could be Trouble!
Then we saw it was that Barney, a long legged hound who is almost one year old. All he wants to do is have a game. The problem with him is the fact he is so large and we are so small. So, I was a little scared to begin with. He chased me and then chased Holly and then chased me again, that was until a barked at him and had a little snap at him, which put him in his place!

After that it was good fun,, I chased him and he chased Holly, then I chased him and even woofed at him!

He had a tennis ball that was his toy but when OTL threw it for him, Holly and I beat him to it and ran around with it in our mouth!

Gerroff! it's our ball now!

In the end we wouldn't let him have it back!

It's in the car ready for the next time we see him!

The rest of the day was boring, boring , boring! OTL out, TM playing card making, Holly asleep (as normal)!

That was until OTL came back! We did our 'welcome home' greeting which included a good ear licking and soon after that we settled down to some serious mugging. You see, after TM experimenting yesterday, she decided to give OTL a treat today, something he could eat! So, out came the fillet steak and chips, OTL had the chips all to himself and we managed to get a couple of bits of steak from both OTL and TM!

Spoilt or wot!

Bye bye for now, see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Sunshiny Monday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again.

We hope that Max has got his Mo-Jo back and has not been dragged off to the vets!

We have been sort of lazy today. First thing this morning we woke The Missus and Old Two Legs up with the 'I wanna Wee' woof. Then afterwards, rushed up to bed and crashed out until eight thirty!

Come on, is that not the best way to start the day or wot?

OTL took us out to the Sea Wall and we saw loads of wader type birds on the mud flats having a feed and fly around.

Boo!
Holly did the 'Woof', at the birds and they flew off, so she tried it one more time and they took no notice at all, so Holly reckons that when they are eating, they go deaf, just like she does!

Woofin Holly!
There is a Green Woodpecker that lives around the Sea Wall and many times we see it fly off as we approach it. OTL doesn't see it until the last moment and by the time he gets his camera up to his eye, the bird is long gone.

Just to show you what we mean, here is one of his pictures! Hee Hee!

Woofin Green Woodpecker!!
He won't thank us for that one!

Our lunch time run along the Sea Wall was good, the tide was in and the fishermen were out teaching the worms to swim!

Holly and me had a sniff of their stuff but it smelt all fishy, so we left it alone!

Smells Fishy to Me!
No sign of the Rats, we reckon they only come out at night and then it's straight off to the Pub or the Chippy!

OTL thinks he has spotted a very rare bird!

We were just about to turn around and go back when this bird came flying straight towards us, flying backwards!

We didn't know what to make of it, OTL took some photographs and when he got home, consulted his Bird Book and declared it to be The Oozalamb Bird!

He says it is very rare and is known for flying backwards in a very big circle and as it gets older the circle slowly gets smaller. Then, one day the circle gets so small that it finally disappears!

Holly wanted to know where it disappears to and OTL marked the spot on the picture!

The Oozalamb Bird
OTL was dead serious when he told us about the bird and Holly was listening wide eyed and with her mouth open as well. She said it was dangerous going around in circles and in future she wouldn't do it any more!

That girl will believe anything!

When I couldn't hold back the laughter any longer she got all upset with me, then I called her a Plonker and she called me a Big Head!

And that's when the fight started!

This evening should be interesting, TM has been experimenting and has made a Lentil and Sweet Potato thing with no meat at all.Now don't get us wrong, we eat grass and carrots but the sight of OTL eating something that has never moo'd or grunted is not for the faint hearted, I even think he may order a Kofti Kebab to follow!

Bye for now, we're off to watch the fun!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Sunday's are for enjoying!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again!

We have been out for early Sunday morning walk with The Missus across the football field but we don't count that as a 'real walk' more a stroll! So, back we went and went up to have a chat with Old Two Legs who had just come out of the shower! It took him about five seconds to work out what we wanted and off we went in the car to the Sea Wall!

Chase the rabbits, have a sniff at the 'Rat Hole' before OTL chased us away! That's how to start a walk!

Sniffin at Rat Holes!
There were loads of people standing on the wall looking out to sea doing some bird watching. Well, I thought it might be fun following them and seeing what they got up too!

Me!!
Trouble was, OTL called me back, spoil sport, still I had seen some fishermen a bit further on and they may have some food!

Got any food Mr?
Well it was a waste of time 'cos they had eaten their sandwiches, so Holly was out of lunch as well!

We did see a Little Plover on the beach scratching around for some food among the seaweed.

Ringed Plover
Holly caught sight of a rook landing on the Sea Wall and chased it off but it kept coming back, and Holly chased it down the steps and onto the slippery bit near the water. Well, she slipped and skidded down the slope and only managed to stop just before the water!

Holly heading for the slippy bit!
The rook was laughing its head off and Holly said that if she came across that bird on dry land she would have him stuffed and roasted!

OTL saw some little birds fluttering about and said they were called Long Tailed Tits, and they always stay in a family group, just like us!

Long Tailed Tit
Not the best shot but it was hand held and he had to take it quickly!

Our afternoon was spent snoozing in OTL's office, such a good place to snooze! We are not disturbed by the noisy TV and it is warm as well!

Dinner was Lambs Hearts and biscuits! A super way to finish the day off, besides mugging OTL for some shortbread!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
