A very Pooy Puppy!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.

Last night Holly and me were on 'Puppy Patrol' all night. Every couple of hours or so we would get up, jump up on Old Two Legs bed and lick his ear to let him know that we were about to do the rounds and check for intruders. After licking OTL we would give The Missus a quick slurp on the ear as well, just to make sure she knows that the house is safe when we are guarding her!

Normally we march in single file, picking our paws up and marching in step. First into the office and then into TM card room and then the bathroom and, well you get the idea!

We cover the whole house, inspecting every corner and under the tables and behind all the curtains.

If we find anything suspicious we give a 'Woof' and both inspect it before deciding if we should wake OTL up for a more serious inspection!

We managed to refer our findings back to OTL three times last night, one thirty, three fifteen and four fifteen! We thought we were being good Guard Dogs, TM said we were close to being sent to the Dogs Home!

It was late when we went out for a walk this morning, OTL over slept!

It was funny watching him stagger along the beach all half asleep while we did our 'Marching Practice' along the wall!

Hup! Two Thee Four!
We woofed at the Wormy Men but they were too far out on the mud to hear us and OTL got all 'Artistic' with their boot prints!

Tracks of the Wormy Men!
Guess what? We met up with that Dopey Collared Dove again! We asked him why he kept hanging around the beach when all his kind were in the fields, he said he was a 'Closet Sea Gull' and was thinking of growing web feet. Holly said that it was a bit too strange for her and headed off to chase a sniff that had come in on the wind!

I'd rather be a Sea Gull!
Back for a snooze in OTL's office while he made up bits to send off to his customers.

In the afternoon we all headed off to The Farm, well we had not been there for a while and there were bound to be some new sniffs in the woods.

We smelt Badgers and Foxes and I saw a squirrel that Holly an I chased all the way down the hill until he shot up a tree! Holly and I stood at the bottom and woofed at him but he wouldn't come down again, Wimpy Squirrel!
Squirrel Chasing.
Then Holly caught a sniff of a Badger down one of the holes and woofed a big Hello down the hole but there was no movement down there at all, we reckon they were all asleep for the Winter.

Wake Up Badgers!
We were wandering through the wood and OTL was a little ahead of us, Holly suddenly stopped, nose in the air and said 'Hey! get a load of that Sniff!' Then she rushed off to the side and was snuffling around on the ground. I had a sniff but it wasn't really my sort of sniff, a bit too strong for me, but not for Holly.

She started to have a roll in it, starting with her shoulders and gradually working her way down to the tip of her tail.

Then OTL turned around and saw her.

NO! YOU SMELLY NELLIE!

OTL can get all showy off sometimes and this was one of those times. He marched over to Holly who was turning around in a circle, just to make sure of an even spread across her back.

'You are going to get a wash when we get back to the car' was his only comment and he clipped her onto the lead and we headed for the car.

A rub down with some baby wipes got some of it off but it took a good washing when we got home to get it all out of her fur and boy did it pong the car out! It was a good thing OTL's sense of smell is very poor or he may have made Holly walk home, I mean, even my eyes were watering a bit by the time we got back!

Another fun day!

See you tomorrow, just one more day until the weekend and another adventure, we hope!

Bye, bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (A cleaned up Smelly Nellie!)

Choo Choos and Woofers!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again!

Loads of fun today, Old Two Legs has finally got a new telephone for the office, his last one was made by Alexander Bell and had a handle on the side that you wound around and around!

Every time he tries to make a recording for the Answering Machine, we have a woof or a grumble and you can hear us when he plays the message back!

Please leave your name and WOOF! after the tone GRUMBLE WOOF!

When we went out this morning we had to wait while a train crossed the road, so Holly stood up and woofed at it to hurry up as she wanted a wee.

Woofing Choo Choo!
OTL said that if it was a steam train it would have gone Chuff Chuff back!

Down on the Sea Wall we met up with a Collard Dove that had lost it's way, well, it was looking for food on the shore. So Holly told it that there was not much seed on the shore and it should go inland a bit, but it didn't take any notice and carried on pecking at the path, silly bird!

Holly said that all doves taste like chicken, so we both rushed at it but it fell off the side of the wall and flew down to the beach to look for seed, what a daft dove!

A Tasty Chicken Snack?
Back home we crashed out in OTL's office while he played about with the telephone, he even mounted it on the wall so he could have more space on his desk!

Then he started to fill up the memory with telephone numbers, that took him hours!

Lunch time was late 'cos he was still playing with the phone, really, he's like a kid with a new toy!

We got fed up and woofed at him to take us out and as he had to take some rubbish down the tip, we went in the big car and had fun woofing at the other dogs walking on the path and Holly spent some time blowing raspberries at the truckers!

Down the New Park we met up with an old hairy sort of doggy who we asked if he wanted to have a game of 'chase the ball', 'No thanks he said, I don't do balls, too damned tricky for me 'cos my legs aren't what they used to be!'

I don't do Balls!
Off we went and sat in the Tee-Pee to see if the Indians were about and Holly said that she could hear them Whooping in the distance! I couldn't hear any Whooping and I think she was making it up just to try and scare me!

Was that an Indian?
A bit further on we met up with some doggies we had met before, so we all had a group sniff, passed on some info on good sniffs down the path and then chased after OTL who was wandering off on his own!

Having a Group Sniff!
We caught up with OTL outside the cattle enclosure, he was looking at a Heifer who looked like it had 'Attitude'!

So, up we trot and we stare at the Heifer, giving it the old 'Hairy Eyeball' treatment and it just stood there giving us the 'Hairy Eyeball' back.

Then Holly said, 'Hey, do you taste like chicken?'

The Heifer looked at Holly and said, 'Do you taste like grass?'

'Come on' said Holly, 'I asked the question first and anyway we are dogs and not grass'

The Heifer looked down it's long nose at Holly, increased the 'Hairy Eyeball' and said in a slow, meaningful voice.

I don't!
Holly blew a big raspberry and we ran off!

Back home to a Lambs Heart dinner and some biscuits OTL got from the vet, they taste a bit like sawdust but when they get soaked in the juice of the meat they are passable, just!

Bye bye for now, see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (who tastes of Dog!)

Aurora? Wot Aurora?

Hello Woofers!

It's us, Daisy & Holly back with you again.

Last night, just before we went to bed, Old Two Legs let us out into the garden for our late night wee and he came out as well! Now, it is not usual for OTL to wander around the garden late at night, so what was he up to?

Seems like he had read that a Magnetic Storm has hit the world and there should be lights in the sky and stuff like that. Poor OTL, no lights except for the street lights to light up the sky!

This morning we went out for our run along the Sea Wall, in the rain, we don't like rain but it was too far from home to go back, so off we went. A look over the wall told us the sea was out and we had a chance for a run on the beach, but it is always hard running on stones!

The further we went along the beach the wetter it got and Holly stopped and pointed to the ground and told OTL that she could see herself in the puddles!

Look!         WET!

That was it, we decided we have had enough and wanted to go home, so, a quick woof at the Wormy Men!

Woof Woof Wormy!
No answer from them so a big raspberry and back home!

Lunch time was fun, OTL has purchased a dog whistle and is trying to get us to be little sheep dogs!

He has been waving his arms about, blowing on the whistle and shouting Away and Come Bye, none of which we understand at all!

We have worked out that Come Bye and Away mean go to the side but we are having problems with which side he means. I'm sure that if he blows the whistle any harder his eyes will pop out!

I mean, we can hear him if he whistles very low using his lips, this dog whistle just irritates!

OK, now which way?
In the end we just walked away and left him puffing and blowing and jumping up and down!

As we walked along the Sea Wall in the distance we saw a cyclist peddling his bike along the wall.

Hey, says Holly 'You go Away and I go Come Bye' and see what happens!

Charge!
We ran up to him and went each side of him, you know he didn't even see us! He just carried on peddling!

Maybe we should get OTL to blow his whistle at him!

Chicken for dinner tonight, seriously good meal!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

A Lazy Sort of Day

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you again.

Today we decided that as we had such a good time yesterday and were so tired when we got home that we would have one of our 'Lazy Days'.

We have these days from time to time, it sort of balances out the hectic days and allows us to catch up on our snoozing!

We went out with Old Two Legs for our morning stroll and found someone loading up plastic sacks with sea shells, OTL asked what is he going to use them for and he said 'The Garden'. Now we have never heard of them growing Sea Shells in the garden!

Going to plant some Sea Shells?
As OTL says, 'What ever turns you on!'

We woofed a 'Good Morning' to the Wormy Man but as normal, he didn't hear us, maybe he was listening to his iPlod thingy!

Hello Wormy Man!
So, we carried on with our 'Puppy Patrol' and sniffed our way back to the car.

On Puppy Patrol!
There were no TV vans today so the airport must be 'Old News' now!

Back home we let OTL get to work and settled down to a good snooze in his office. Just the occasional phone call and the low hum of the computer fan, we were soon of dreaming of sandy beaches and big holes!

Sweet Dreams!
OTL had to go out to do some work and we were left at home with The Missus who took us out for a walk over the Fields, we haven't been over there for a while so it was good to catch up on the sniffs and leave a few of our own!

Back home to sit at the window waiting for OTL to return!

When he finally came back, Holly spotted him first, and she woofed a big 'Hello' to him then rushed down stairs to wait by the door. I was hot on her tail and when OTL came through the door he got licked from one ear to the other and back again!

He had a sniff of Dust Cart about him, so we know where he has been working today! After a change of clothes and a good wash it was time for a cuddle before dinner.

Dinner was chicken and biscuits followed by a snooze before mugging OTL for some shortbread.

So, a lazy, snoozy sort of day, the sort we enjoy!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Sunday, Funday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again!

Have we had a fun day today, first of all we went down to the Sea Wall for our morning walk and guess what we saw!

Yep, it was one of those TV vans with a satellite dish on the top and some man running around with a camera and a tripod! They were doing more interviews with more people who think the idea is daft!

Well, as we walked past they pleaded with us for an interview, we told them we were just 'too busy' and for them to talk to our agent!

Talk to our Agent!
That'll teach them!

Back home we loaded the car up with our stuff and some camera gear and headed off to Romney Marsh.

Old Two Legs was photographing some places for a web site. First of all we went for our walk around the field, just for a wee and to say 'hello' to the sheep.

After we had finished there, OTL took us down to St Margaret's Bay, a super sandy beach which goes on for miles! The best bit was, the tide was going out! It was WONDERFUL!

Look, SAND!!!
We ran and chased each other and chased the ball and OTL chased us and then we chased OTL and then we dug some holes in the sand!

Hole #1
Now we were having some serious fun!

We went one way along the beach and OTL was taking so many photo's that he used up all the battery and had to go back to the car for a new battery. We thought he was going to put us in the car and drive off. So, we ran the other way! Then OTL chased us and we still ran the other way. Then he got the ball and kicked it in the direction of the car and we chased after it, and then ran the other way, away from the car!

Catch us if you can!

It was great fun!

After he got a new battery, we went off in the other direction and we chased the ball, dug holes and chased some doggies we met.

There was one that looked almost like us!

Where do you come from?
Holly said it could have been our other sister, so off she went and asked, 'What's your name and where do you come from'?

'Yer, my name's  Alfred and I come from Peckham, why?'

Holly decided we were not related and left him on the beach looking for a hole to dig!

Then we went back to digging holes again. Holly dug her hole in the sand and I dug mine, then Holly wanted to dig my hole in the sand and I wanted it to my self....................That's when the Fight Started!

Having 'Words' with Holly!
After about an hour, OTL took us back to the car and off we went to Dungeness where he took some more photo's. There was one where we could hear the man talking to a steam engine train thingy wotsit, which we thought was so funny. He started off by asking the engine how it's fire box was!

How's yer fire box?
Holly said that all engineers do funny things like that. OTL said that he used to be an engineer but not with steam engines. Holly said what more proof do we need!

I'm still on my Tea Break!
Then he says that he is on his tea break and there is no way the trains moving until he's finished!

We think he was just having a bad day, the engine we mean, not the engineer!

OTL spotted another old bit of machinery and took it's picture as well.

1934 Austin Seven
OTL and the man who owns it spent a long time talking about it and even lifted the bonnet to look at the engine!

Boring or wot!

Holly said that it makes a change to see something older than OTL!

After that we went for a run on the beach but this time it was all stones and no sand! We didn't mind too much 'cos there were some super sniffs on the beach that Holly and I had a roll in when OTL wasn't looking, he was too busy taking a photo of the Dungeness Light House!

Dungeness Lighthouse.
We slept all the way home and woke up just as we were driving into the village, just in time to say hello to The Missus and get some dinner down us!

So, off to bed now, it's been a long day, we have had a load of fun and it's been one of OTL's better 'Adventures'!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Out for the day today!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again.

We have been out early this morning and that means a quick run along the Sea Wall while it was still dark and stormy!

Early Morning at The Sea Wall

The reason is that we are going out with Old Two Legs to do some long distance deliveries!

We managed a couple of stops on the way, one was at a place they call The Hogs Back and the second was the Forest of Bere. Holly said it was really the Home of Bears and we aught to keep an eye open for any bears that have woken up from their winter hibernation!

Watch out for Bears and Squirrels!

So Holly watched out for bears and I chased after Squirrels!

As you would guess, much of the day was spent in the car, so most of the time we were watching out for cats and doggy's by the side of the road, so we can woof at them, and the rest of the time was spent sleeping!

We like sleeping!

Back home, The Missus had done us chicken for dinner, so that was wolfed down in five minutes flat!

We are off tomorrow down to Romney Marsh where OTL has some pictures to take and we will be going with him!

So, keep an eye open for us if you are around that way!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Vole Hunting, Daffodils and Squirrel Chasing!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you again.

We got up late this morning, too much dinner last night and late to bed!

Old Two Legs was just as bad, he was still snoring at seven thirty!

We went down to the Sea Wall but on the way OTL stopped the car and started taking photo's of a bird on the telephone lines. We were all hanging out of the window, OTL clicking away and Holly and Me woofing as well!

OTL was trying to tell us to stop woofing but was whispering instead of his normal woof! He said that the bird was a Kestrel and it was hunting voles in the grass.

I see a Vole!
Then it stopped looking for voles, turned to us and said that if he was a bit bigger or us a bit smaller he would eat us both for breakfast, providing we tasted like Vole!

Do you taste like Vole?
Then he flew off!

Holly thought it most rude and asked OTL if the Kestrel tasted like Chicken?

We had fun racing along the beach and we both pretended to be Kestrels hunting Beach Voles!

I smell a Vole!
On the way back home OTL suddenly stopped the car and jumped out leaving us looking out the back window at what he was doing. He was on his knees and photographing the local church!

Now we know OTL does some odd things sometimes, but on his knees at the Church Gate? What is he praying for, a new camera?

January 20th 2012
When he got back he showed us the picture, there were Daffodils flowering by the side of the path, in January!

Even we were impressed with that!

After lunch we went off to The Forest  again, 'cos Holly wanted to chase squirrels, I of course didn't mind, anything to please my sister!

It was OK when we left the house but on the way down it started to rain. OTL had had looked at the weather forecast and had brought along our coats.

It was a bit of a struggle getting our coats on 'cos we were both in a panic to get out 'Squirrel Chasing'!

Is it up There?
We had a good rummage around and I looked in all my favourite places and some of my secret spots as well.

Come on, this way!
Then we went to the place where we always see the squirrels, but today, nothing!

Holly was slower than me, so I left her and rushed off, doing my Super Puppy bit, you know, leaping fallen tree trunks with a single bound, flying across the bramble bushes in the blink of an eye.

Still nothing!

I was doing some serious investigating of a tree when out the corner of my eye I am sure I saw a squirrel, so off I went again, leaving OTL and Holly behind.

I see something!
While I was off hunting, Holly and OTL saw a squirrel and Holly went after it, as you do, but it disappeared up the tree as quick as you like!

So, we can say that today was not a good day for Squirrel Hunting, but still a lot  of fun!

Back home for a Lambs Heart Dinner and a chance to mug OTL for some nibbles!

Have a good weekend!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Rainy Day in Fun Land!

Hi Woofers!

It's Super Stars Daisy & Holly here again!

We watched the BBC news and saw the report but they didn't use our 'Takes'. Holly was a bit put out and telephoned our agent to find out what had happened! We were told that the report was all about the dopey plan for the new Airport and how flocks of birds would make all the planes fall out of the sky and set off the explosives in the sunken ship in the estuary.

If they had shown us, then we would have taken over the report and it would have been 'Who are those sweet little Doggy's' and can we have an autograph please?

So, in this instance we let it go! Holly got an email from Spielberg saying he was researching a new epic that we could consider if we were not too busy!

Us Super Stars are always SO Busy!

It was pouring down this morning, Old Two Legs even had to put our coats on before going out!

That was OK and we had a run along the Sea Wall, with no cameras except the one OTL carries!

Holly was a bit of a misery guts, as she says, she doesn't do mornings and she doesn't do wet!

I Don't do Mornings and I Don't do Wet!
On top of that, the tide was in, so there were no birds to woof at and no Wormy Men getting stuck in the mud!

Not a Wormy Man in sight!
Holly was getting grumpy now, so, when she saw a couple of Magpies on the ground she sprinted across the grass woofing at them!

Woofin' Magpies!
That was the only bit of exercise she got this morning!

Back home for chicken breakfast and then a snooze in OTL's office!

This afternoon was much better, first of all Holly was a bit brighter, a sleep and a chicken breakfast normally puts her in a good mood!

Second, the sun came out!

That was it, a quick lunch and then off with OTL to do the deliveries! After that, The Forest!

Straight out of the car and off searching for those Squirrels again!

This is where we start Sniffin for Squirrels!
Off we went, charging into the woods, sniffin and woofing and woofing and sniffin! OTL was creeping around trying to look like the 'Big White Hunter' looking for birds to photograph!

He found one Great Tit that would sit still long enough but would not let OTL get close enough!

Looking smart in Spring Colours!
It was good jumping in and out of the muddy bits and fun watching OTL slipping all over the place!

Holly was doing a good job of 'Squirrel Spotting' and I did the chasing bit!

Squirrel Spotting for Daisy!
Every time we saw one, it ran up the tree trunk and being doggy's, we couldn't follow. So we just stood and watched the little critters scampering about!

They're up there somewhere!
Holly did suggest we did some rabbit hunting instead but no matter how hard we sniffed, all we could smell was Squirrels!

No Rabbits Here!
Well, that was it, back to Squirrel Hunting!

It was a really good time and Holly suggested we call the Forest 'Fun Land' 'cos we have so much fun here, OTL suggested we call it Muddy Land and I wanted to call it Squirrel Land.

No, we didn't start fighting, we were too tired for that!

On the way home we had a cuddle and a snooze on the front seat. This car doesn't have heated seats like the big car does, that's why we have to cuddle up to keep warm!

Two Tired Little Puppy's
I think it is an early night tonight, ready for some squirrel chasing tomorrow!

Bye bye for now!

Dinner is calling!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Mid week Already And TV Stars!

Hello Woofers!

It's us back again, Super Cool Daisy & Super Smooth Holly!

It was a bit dull this morning on our run, the clouds were hiding the sun but at least it has warmed up a bit. We didn't need our coats when we went for our walk along the Sea Wall.

We played a game of 'Hide & Seek' with Old Two Legs but somehow he always found us!

Boo!
Holly jumped up to have a look where OTL was and .........

Boo Too!
OTL was a bit too quick for Holly!

We chased a Sea Gull and had a woof at the Brent Geese who were walking on the mud. OTL counted nine today 'cos normally there are six in the group. Holly reckons that some relatives have come to stay for a holiday!

Brent Geese on a Route March!
Back home to a breakfast of Lambs Heart and Biscuits then a well earned snooze while OTL messes about in the office.

It seems like just a moment snooze before our internal clock start telling us it's time for the 'Lunch Time Walk' and for a change, we decide it should be The Forest, 'cos we haven't been there for a while.

Come lunch time The Forest was forgotten and we dashed off to the Sea Wall again. When we got down there, we saw a big van with a satellite dish on top and people walking around with big cameras and microphones that looked like stuffed squirrels!

OTL says it was all to do with the stupid idea of putting an airport in the Thames Estuary. They were interviewing an RSPB spokesman who was telling them it was a stupid idea as well.

It's A Stupid Idea!
Then we saw another camera man taking pictures of the Sea Wall and people walking their dogs, so, we had a shake and put on our best 'Super Star' look and just floated along the Sea Wall while they took our picture!

Getting ready for the Stars to arrive!
They also took a picture of OTL as well, but we don't think they will use that 'cos he would scare the birds off worse that the aircraft!

When we got home, we were just 'Fatigued Darlings', so we spent the afternoon 'Resting' with our Rawhide Chews!

Just Resting Darlings!
It's hard life being Super Stars!

We're going to watch the local TV news this evening to see if they use our 'Takes'!

Holly says she is going to phone Steven Spielberg and see if he has anything that might interest us!

Bye bye for now, see you tomorrow, if we can get through the fan mail tomorrow morning!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
