Spring Cleaning for OTL

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again!

It has been boring today, I mean Really Boring, in fact I would even go as far as saying it was BORING!

Old Two Legs has been letting things slip. There has been a pile of papers that have been left in the corner of his office and every thing he doesn't want to do gets put on the pile.

Well, today the pile got too big to ignore, so, he has been doing something about it!

Not that he really wanted to do anything but it got just too big to leave any longer!

There were forms for the Pension Office ('cos he's and OAP now!) and forms for the Tax Office ('cos he is still doing his work) and forms for The Council ('cos they hate him!)

So he has been filing, filling and posting all today. Which means there has not been too much time for us!

Our early morning walk was along the Sea Wall as normal and this time we could see the Sea!

Now, I tried to upload a picture here but the blog is playing up again, so you will have to use your imagination, again, until I can get them to load!

Panoramic picture of Holly and me on the beach!
A bit further on I found an old car tyre, no car, just the tyre!

Picture of me looking at the tyre!

Blow me down if a few yards further on Holly found an empty plastic barrel washed up on the beach!

Picture of Holly and the green barrel!

OTL told us to keep away from it 'cos we didn't know what was, or had been in it!

Holly remembered when she had been sniffin on the beach and got some nasty stuff on her nose that was horrible and she had to go to the vet 'cos it caused a nasty rash on her muzzle!

Back home again and more boring stuff all morning, so we slept and snoozed and then we had a little nap before setting out again.

Normally OTL takes us on an 'Adventure' at lunchtime but today it was back to the Sea Wall, which is OK but not the same!

We found the barrel was just about to float off on the incoming tide, so bye bye barrel!

Picture of Barrel bobbing around, ready to go on a cruise!
I found a large lump of those egg sack thingy wotsits and had a go at throwing it in the air, just like Holly does, but I'm not as good as her.

Picture of me making a mess of tossing the Egg Sacks!

Holly spotted me and rushed over to show me how to do it but I showed off and wouldn't let her have the Egg Sacks. So we had a Tug of War until they broke in half!

Picture of me and Holly and the Egg Sacks!

We were having a serious sniff on the path when we heard Wheeeeeeeee Girlies!!!! and Barney jumped over the top of Holly and chased after me!

Picture of Barney jumping over Holly
We all had a chase about and we told him of some interesting sniffs down near the path.

After all that it was back home again for some more boring paperwork. Around six this evening OTL announced that he had finished all the pile of paperwork and other than taxing the car for next month, he had finished!

So, tomorrow we are looking forward to a 'Double Adventure' to make up for a BORING Day!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

If this blog keeps playing up we may just invest in our own web site and do our own blog from there!

Monday is Delivery Day!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you again.

Today started off a little Misty, we got to the Sea Wall and couldn't even see the Sea!

I can't See the Sea!
It was getting warmer as we went for our morning stroll. We woofed at a couple who were walking along in front of us but they didn't say anything.

Then Old Two Legs tried taking a picture of the Broom flowers again but there was just enough breeze blowing to make it almost impossible to focus!

Still, he did try!

Fuzzy Broom!
Back home it was all rush and tear around getting everything into the car. Then we were off, but first of all we asked if we could have a little walk down in the New Park, 'cos us girls needed a wee before setting out on the motorway!

We managed to stretch it into a bit of a game with the ball and this time OTL didn't fall over or hurt his ankle!

On the way out we came across this puppy. All of twelve weeks old, and didn't OTL just fall for the soft little eyes and little button nose!

Don't we just look Cute!
Holly reckons she was putting it on a bit and said we will have to watch her as she gets older 'cos she looks like she could be a real Tart!

Back to work and off we went with the car load, we lost count of the number of things we dropped off or picked up, but it was loads!

By the time we had finished, we were up near Purley Way in Croydon. We used to stop there on our way back home from Grandma's House. It was always or it just seemed to be always, dark when we had a run, so it made a good change to see it in the day light!

Gissa The Ball!
Holly and I chased each other all over the place, then we chased the ball, then we chased each other with the ball!

I gave Holly a good demonstration of Low Flying at Ground Level!

This is how it's done!
She said that I was just showing off and I was, just a little bit!

So we played 'Chase OTL With The Ball But Don't Let Him Get It'

Your turn with the ball!
We had him running all over the place trying to get the ball! Poor old thing got all Puffed Out by the time we had finished!

To finish off we decided to have a game of Football but had to give up after a bit 'cos we couldn't decide who was going to be in goal!

No! It's Your Turn in Goal!
So, all in all, we had a great day and spent all evening snoozing, after mugging OTL and having a super chicken dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Sunday with The Boys

Hi Woofers!
Daisy & Holly back again.

What a super sunny Sunday this has been! We were a little late in getting up this morning but when we went out, wow! It's just like summer!

We were late in getting up 'cos we went out with Old Two Legs and The Missus to visit No. 1 Daughter for a meal. Well they had the meal and we did some mugging!

Mind you, we had competition, living with No.1 Daughter and Partner is, Lucy. Lucy is a Jack Russell Terrier who is a couple of years older than us and she don't like us puppies trying to take over her food bowl!

So we had a couple of 'Discussion' moments, but nothing more than normal!

Tarty Lucy!
We had a super time mugging OTL for bits of his steak and of course, he just had to let Lucy have some as well.............we reckon she's a TART!

Afterwards we treated Lucy to a demonstration of 'Puppy Wrestling'. Holly and I did our mock fighting that shows anyone looking, just how super fit we are and how we can throw each other about!

Today, Sunday, has been super for food as well as sunshine. We stopped into the Lakes for a walk before going to The Boys house.

It was good to see them again and we got given a Rawhide Chew each, super they were!

Then we managed to mug a bowl each of beef from the Roast Lunch the Two Legs had.

Then after that, we got offered a bowl of chicken!

We were both just too full up to do any damage to the chicken, so we saved it until later for when we get home!

I think it is going to be an early night tonight, big bellies and too much running about!

So bye bye for now.

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

I'm a Mucky Puppy!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here on a fine Saturday!

The Missus was out good and early this morning doing her 'Litter Picking' bit for the village, together with all her mates and Auntie Shelia who is our mate as well!

Waking Old Two Legs up was a bit of a job but he couldn't ignore us jumping on him and giving his ear a good licking!

Finally we get him out the front door and off to the Sea Wall.

When we got there, we found the tide was so far out we couldn't even see it!

So OTL took a picture of the mud!

Now at this point I would have put the picture in this blog, but for some reason the photos won't upload! So, if it gets better before I publish the blog, you'll get the pictures, if not, close your eyes and imagine!

Mud and Shingle

Holly found a ball of egg sacks and we had a game of 'Throw', needless to say, Holly was better than me!

Holly and me with the Egg Sacks
OTL got out our ball and showed it to us, then he threw it along the path. Trouble was, I was too quick for him and first it bounced on the floor, then it bounced on my back, then it bounced on my nose as I tried to grab it in mid air.

Then it bounced on the path and down it went towards the mud, bouncy, bouncy!

Then it hit the mud and went 'Gloop!' and disappeared!

In I went after the ball, up to my knees, it was 'orrible!

Mud!

I'm getting Muckyer!
Then I came out, all mucky and smelling of Yuk!

OTL said that I was in for a washing when I got back home, the sooner the better!

After lunch we went off to The Forest, it was great fun chasing around looking for squirrels, we saw a good number running around in the trees. None of them stayed on the ground and as we can't climb trees, we just woofed at them and called them names!

Squirrel Nutkin Doing a Runner!

Another Squirrel Bumkin!

Along the path came a tiny little doggy, 'Here' says Holly, 'Look what I've found!'

Watch it! Says our new friend, I may be small but I could take the pair of you on at the same time, with one paw tied behind my back!

Here, Daisy! Look What I Found!
Ooo! Said Holly, you are so brave!

Back home for a snooze before dinner but suddenly TM & OTL started to get ready to go out, not sure about this, will we be going with them? Will we get fed?

More tomorrow!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

PS. It's Sunday morning and I've just managed to get the photos uploaded!

More Squirreling Around!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again!

Good News, it's Friday!

We had a lazy start to the day, we were a whole hour late in getting up!

Even Old Two Legs was snoozing instead of showering!

Finally we got down the Sea Front and the sun was doing its best to shine through the clouds.

OTL said it was a shame that it was cloudy and bright, which we didn't understand, until he said that if it was dark and clear, we would be able to see the Aurora Borealis 'cos there was a Red Alert which meant we could have seen it down here in the South of England!

But it wasn't and we couldn't, so we didn't bother!

I was showing Holly my impression of Barney, but she said I didn't look 'Gawky' enough!

Look, I'm a Barney!
Holly did her 'Looking Good' pose for OTL and got him to take her picture, again! I said that she is getting too much of a Tart, wiggling her tail and doing these poses all the time.

She said that 'If you got it, flaunt it!'

Looking Good Again!
After lunch it was down The Forest again, looking for those pesky squirrels. We spotted a few, but they were too high in the trees to chase. We called for them to come down but they just blew raspberries at us!

While looking up in the trees, we spotted this bird that first of all looks like a Mistle Thrush but OTL is not 100% sure.

Well, it looks like a Mistle Thrush
While he was standing there trying to decide, Holly and I went off Hunting Squirrels again.

First of all, Holly went into Deep Cover, to try spotting from a 'Hidden Spot'

Bet you can't see me!
Then she tried hiding up a tree, just the place you wouldn't expect a puppy to be!

A New Spotting Place!
But there was no success there either!

So, nothing for it but to resort to the old tried and tested 'Ground Sniffin and Stalking' method!

On The Hunt!
As I said before, we spotted a few but they wouldn't come down to get 'Terriorised', spoil sports!

We saw loads of the wild Daffodils in the wood, a sure sign that Spring is here!

Wild Daffodils
Back home again for a well earned snooze before dinner of Lambs Heart.

So, now we have to plan what to do tomorrow, down to The Marshes or maybe a long run down The New Park or wot about The Lakes?

Decisions Decisions!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Looking good as normal!)

The Missus is all Giggly!

Hello Woofers!

D&H Here again!

We had a good laugh last night, Old Two Legs spent all evening going Ooo, Ooo! Every time he had to walk around, pretending his ankle was giving him loads of pain. We reckon he just wanted sympathy!

Well, bed time came and The Missus was off early 'cos she'd had a hard time at her Master Class.

Then we went up and curled up on the bed next to her.

OTL was playing on the computer doing some last minute emails to foreign places. He opened up one of his Pain Killer Tablets, Paraceto something or other. He was going to take it just before going to bed to ease the ache in his ankle and allow him to get to sleep quickly.

Problem is, he forgot to take it, went off to bed leaving it on his office desk.

So, after kicking us off the bed and settling down to sleep, he suddenly remembered he'd forgotten the pill!

Out of bed he gets, leaving the light off, 'cos he didn't want to wake TM. She gets all 'Grumbly' if she's woken up in the middle of the night.

Off he walks towards the door and knowing he had left the door open, he confidently headed for the opening.

That was right up to the point where he found the door had swung half shut.

There was an almighty 'Thud', OTL shouted.....'IT!' or something that sounded like that!

Yep, he had run head first into the edge of the door, OTL was not a 'Happy Puppy'

Now not only did he have an aching ankle but now he had an aching head as well!

So now OTL opened up another of his pills and took two, one for his head and one for his ankle!

We had to stick our heads under our cushions to stop him hearing our giggling!

Talking of giggling, it is TM's birthday later this month and OTL being a kind and loving sort has ordered her the latest superduperallsinginganddancingdogsdanglybits iPad 3 that she has been on about for ages. So all day today she has been reading up everything she can find on the Internet relating to the thing and every time she finds a new bit of info, she goes all giggly again!

It's getting a bit too much for us!

No pictures today 'cos OTL has been working too hard in the office, but we did get to go down the Forest this afternoon, looking for squirrels, (didn't see any) Jay's for OTL, (didn't see any) Rabbits for Holly, (didn't see any)!

So we were not doing too good as far as the hunting goes!

On our way back, we dropped into the 'Doggy Shop' (wonderful sniffs in that place!) and OTL bought us some treats and chews and biscuits.

On the way to the checkout we passed the glass box where they keep the pet rabbits, Holly asked if OTL would buy her one, he said that it was very good that Holly wanted to look after a rabbit at home as a pet.

Oh no, said Holly, she didn't want to keep it as a pet, she wanted TM to cook it then eat it for dinner!

Then, she said, Trev could have his 'Davy Crockett Hat'!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

OTL Finds a Sniff to roll in!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

Not a day for sun bathing on the beach! We went outside the front door and were greeted with a cold wind and driving rain!

It stopped raining as we arrived, so off we went on our hunt for sniffs. There was one Wormy Man out on the flats digging like crazy and Holly pointed out that someone had left their digging fork in the mud!

Where's Me Worms!
As we were heading back to the car we spotted another camera crew getting set up for another interview with the RSPB man saying it's wrong to think about building a new airport on our beach!

No, we Don't want an airport here!
Then they spotted us and rushed up to beg an interview from us, Holly said that they should contact our agent who wouldn't be available until next week!

Take your Airport and Shove It!
We think it is a big cheek, trying to build an airport on the grass where we have our morning walk!

Old Two Legs, had a very busy day running around, here and there and over there as well!

We got a walk down the Riverside Park and managed to dodge the rain. Then it was off to the Bank to put some money in, after which we went off to the rubbish tip!

We got OTL to take us down the New Park, as we were so very close and he agreed!

OTL didn't bring his camera 'cos it would get wet, so, you don't have a chance to see what happened.

If your sitting comfortably, I'll begin.

OTL was throwing our ball for us and I was always first to get it. Then I would rush off into the grass, put it down and have a sniff. OTL would have to walk off the path, over the grass, to pick up the ball and throw it again for me.

It's a good game and gives him a bit of exercise!

OTL picked up our ball and took a step backwards, unfortunately, as he turned, he twisted his ankle  and fell over, backwards, rolling over onto his back with his legs up in the air!

Grumbling he got up and looked at us, still having a sniff, and asked us why we hadn't rushed over to help him up?

Well, said Holly, we thought you had found a good sniff and was having a roll in it!

That didn't go down too well!

So, he limped back to the car and we headed off for home!

Tonight we have chicken while The Missus is off to do her 'Master Class' in Brayering.

Bye bye for now, see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (& A Smelly OTL!)

Rush, Rush, Rush!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again.

Still no news from the Zoe front, looks like the baby has gone back to sleep. Typical of us females, just can't make up our minds you see!

We were up late this morning, making up for yesterday! It was super sunny down on the Sea Wall and the birds were all flying around us. I did my 'Super Pose' so Old Two Legs can take my photo for the record book!

Daisy Dog looking Good!

Holly said I was trying too hard but as I pointed out, at least I don't have to hold my stomach in!

That didn't go down too well but we left the fighting until later!

OTL was hard at work in the office and then he tried sneaking out to go and collect his camera, without us!

No chance!

After that it was down the caravan shop looking for a new table 'cos The Missus managed to destroy the last one! Seems like OTL has to bring the old one down there as they need to make measurements of the leg length.

Then we went down The Lakes, great place for a run, loads of ducks and geese. Holly decided that she wouldn't chase them today, mainly because there were too many of them. Holly was scared they may gang up and chase her!

There were some RSPCA people trying to catch a swan. Seems like the swan has got tangled up in some fishing line and also had a hook stuck in it's neck. It seemed OK but we reckon it will be please when the hook is taken out!

Trying to catch Mummy Swan!
On our way around the Lake we saw a tree all covered in blossom, it's a sure sign Spring has arrived!

Springs Here!

This evening OTL has to go out, poor thing, working in the evening! Still, we will give him a cuddle when he gets back!

Bye Bye for now, see you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Funny Monday!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy & Holly looking for some fun!

You know how we were brought into the house as Guard Dogs, well, last night we made an extra special job of guarding the house.

Around two thirty, Holly heard some funny noises going on next door and thinking it was Burglars, started off with her 'Warning Bark', that normally scares off any Burglars.

This time it didn't, so she starts doing her 'If I have to get out of bed to you, your in deep trouble!' Woof and Bark combination.

That didn't do any good.

So off she sets, down the stairs and up to the front window and starts a terrible woofing and howling and snarling and gnashing of her teeth!

By then I was down with her, joining in the 'Anti Burglar' alarm call.

But the noise carried on.

In one of those pauses for breath, Holly says, 'Here, I think that dustbin lid is making the Burglar Noise!'

So it was! All flapping about in the wind.

'Better not tell Old Two Legs what it was' and I agreed. So back to bed we went and informed OTL we had scared off a big gang of nasty mean looking Burglars!

The Missus was heard to say ' O Yes, we believe that!'

You know, some times I don't think we get the respect we deserve!

OTL took us down The Farm first thing 'cos he had to take his new camera in for a clean up. We ran up and down the path looking for squirrels but didn't see any at all!

I can't see any squirrels at all!
Which was a little strange 'cos we normally see at least one!

I thought I caught the sniff of one going up the path and told Holly we were 'On The Trail' and she said she was right behind me, which she was, except when I stopped to check the sniff and she bumped into me with her nose!

She was not a Happy Puppy 'cos not long ago I'd had a poo!

I'm right behind you Sis!
We had a 'Discussion' about it but OTL caught us up and told us to 'Get a move on' so we didn't start fighting, which made a change!

After the walk we went on to deliver the camera to the man who cleans them for OTL.

Back home to a good breakfast of Lamb Heart and biscuits then a snooze before our afternoon walk.

This time it was down the Sea Wall and we very nearly didn't get out of the car.

The wind was terrific! It nearly blew us  to the back of the car park!

We spotted a nut taking photo's, as Holly says, there's more nuts than OTL who are daft enough to take photos in a howling gale!

What ISO should I use?

Then OTL spotted some Ringed Plovers who were trying to feed along the shore.

Too Windy For Breakfast!

Holly was getting all excited 'cos she could smell chicken being cooked. She reckons it was coming from a KFC shop on the Southend on Sea seafront!

Mmmm! KFC BBQ Chicken!

That girls got a super sensitive nose where chicken is concerned!

We spent the afternoon snoozing in OTL's office, in our Day Beds. Then we woke up just in time to mug OTL for some of his dinner!

Now how's that for timing!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

PS. We heard that Zoe's baby can't make up it's mind on when it wants to be born, it starts and then stops and starts again and stops, well let's face it, she is in a nice warm place, who would want to come out today in this weather!

Damp Sunday

Hello Woofers!

D&H back again!

What a damp old day it has been today!

We were out early with Old Two Legs, well, about ten thirty 'cos we all over slept and just didn't fancy getting up early!

The wind was getting up and we could feel the beginning of rain starting to fall. So, off we went at a sharp trot to get back before it got too wet!

Just as we got to our normal 'turn to go back' spot, who should appear? Barney!

Yahoooo Girlies!

Hey girls, have you seen my ball?

Have you found my ball?
We said that we had not seen it and we had kept an eye open for it. Never mind, he said, I've got hundreds more at home but that one tasted just right!

OK, Right! Must dash, it is starting to rain and I don't have my coat on and you know how I hate rain!

And with that, he was off!

Bye bye Girlies!
We carried on the walk and found some fishermen, so Holly asked if they had seen Barney's ball but they hadn't, so we left them to pack up their gear before the rain came down!

Have you seen Barney's ball?
Back home we got a good rub down with the towel and a brush plus some anti flea stuff. We always get 'done' in the first few days of the month. It pongs a bit but after a while you get used to the smell.

After lunch we went out for our walk again but this time it was raining seriously, so serious that Old Two Legs put our coats on, which kept the rain off our backs, but not our faces!

Out of the car, chase a couple of rabbits and a quick wee then back to the car, no hanging about when the weather is like this!

Back home to another towelling and a snooze on the sofa until dinner time, waking only to mug OTL for a cookie!

Lambs heart tonight, well that's what The Missus said, providing she doesn't burn them!

Bye bye for now.

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Warm & Dry on a Sunday evening)
