Wet, Windy and Rude Rabbits!

Hi Woofers!

Damp Daisy & Soggy Holly here again!

What a wet day it has been today!

We were out early with Old Two Legs and we could feel the rain in the air as we strolled along The Sea Wall. The tide was right out so we knew it wasn't the spray from the waves as they rushed up the beach!

Oi! We Sniff Rain!
Us doggies have got a keen sense of smell when compared to you Two Legs! We can smell rain on the air and a Kebab at twenty miles!

Here! Does This Sniff Like Rabbit?
Holly and I decided that the sooner we got home the better! No wet tail, a good brush and some Lambs Hearts for breakfast! Who wants to wander along the beach when there is that at home!

As we got close to the car, OTL put our lead on, as normal, and marched us around the corner and there, sitting in the middle of the path, not moving, sat a juicy little rabbit!

That wasn't so bad but the rude little erk was singing out Nah, Nah, Nah, Can't catch me!

Nah, Nah, Nah!
Next time Bunny, next time!

Holly and I enjoy a brush, but some times we don't want OTL to hang about, we want to be off to breakfast and this morning it was one of those mornings. We kept fiddling about and rolling over to the other side so he hurries up with the brushing, then no wiggling when he brushes our muzzle!

As soon as he had finished with both of us we marched into the kitchen and sat down with our noses pointed towards the 'Doggy Dishes' on the worktop!

OTL picked both up and asked us if we wanted some breakfast, wot a silly question!

He put the dishes down and we were both straight in!

Muzzle down and tail up and don't come up for air until it's all gone!

After that, well, what is a doggy to do? Up into the day bed, roll over onto your back and enjoy a well deserved snooze!

Snuggled up in bed!
In the afternoon we went with OTL delivering stuff and finally ended up at the New Park which was great 'cos we haven't been there for a while, well last week anyway!

This time it was not hot and sunny, this time it was wet and cold and even wetter!

OTL put our coats on in the car and then let us out for a run.

We did try to enjoy it, just for OTL's sake but you see, we just don't do rain falling on our tails!

Holly and I had a wee then decided we really didn't want to go galloping all over the place!

So we stopped and looked at OTL and when he looked at us, we looked over our shoulder towards the car. That warm, dry, comfortable car!

Oi! We Don't Do Rain!
It took a couple of stops before OTL got the message and gave in! Back we went, got dried off with our Doggy Towel and sat in front of the car heater and got warm air all over our tails!

Back home for a warm snooze all wrapped up in our blankets, Holly on the sofa and me in my day bed!

See you tomorrow and let's hope the wind and rain goes away!

A Day Out With OTL

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.

It was good to have a sleep in our own beds last night, all tucked up and warm and no sheep making noises and no owls hooting all night. It's OK being in a place where we can see loads of wild life but why are they so noisy!

We were up good and early for a wee then back to bed for a cuddle with Old Two Legs, he was snoring his head off so Holly and I had to lick both of his ears to wake him up!

We went down to The Sea Wall to check on the sniffs. Holly went hunting for Baby Rabbits, calling out that she just wanted to play 'Bite Your Tail' with them but they didn't come out at all!

Here Baby Rabbits! Let's play 'Bite Your Tail'!
There was no one on the Sea Wall at all and Holly reckons everyone is still on holiday or still up in London getting over the party!

No One Here!
We did see one sailing ship heading down river and Holly said that it left early 'cos it was late for work!

The Party Was Yesterday!
Lunch time came and we headed out with OTL to do some deliveries and we stopped at the Riverside Park. Loads of children everywhere and on top of that the tide was in, so, I just had to have a swim!

What? Me go in There!
Well, a sort of deep paddle then! Holly declined to offer of a dip and sat there laughing at me for getting so wet!

In Your Dreams Daisy Dog!
Next stop was a place called The Friary where OTL had to leave us in the car. That wasn't so bad but out side on the grass and in the trees were loads of rabbits! So, instead of having a snooze while we wait for OTL, we instead went potty trying to get out and chase them!

Back home for a small snooze before dinner and tonight we managed to mug OTL for some of his curry, well a bit of rice and the curry juice really!

Tomorrow should be fun, rain wind, storms and floods.

And that's just the morning!

Bye bye for now!

We're Back Home Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back home again!

After a fun time down on Romney Marsh we have arrived back home to all the familiar old sniffs!

This morning Old Two Legs took us for a walk around the field, just so we could say bye bye to all the lambs and the sheep. Then we went over to the place where the baby rabbits are and called out bye bye 'cos OTL wouldn't let us get too close 'cos he said that we may upset the Mummy rabbit!

That being done we went off to the sandy beach again to get a last run before the tide came in and we had to leave.

We got onto the beach and found that there were a couple of  'Sand Yachts' charging about, so we kept out of their way!

Super Fast Sand Yachty Thingy Wossit!
At one time it looked like one of the Sand Yachts was having a wee, just like a boy doggy!

Super Fast Sand Yachty Thingy Wossit having a Wee on the move!

There were some of those 'Flappy Birdy' type of things getting ready to fly around, so we kept out of their way as well!

Best Place for a Flappy Thing!
Holly and I ran off down the beach a bit and all of a sudden, there was no one there, I mean, nothing except OTL and us!

The Beach to Ourselves!
What a place for fun! We had a little dig in the sand followed by a paddle in the stream.

Having a Paddle
We like having a paddle, it was warmer than the sea and not so splashy from the waves!

Even better is to have a roll in something smelly before OTL stops us!

Holly just Loves Smelly Things!
After the walk we got back and packed up all the caravan stuff, OTL took down the awning and rolled it all up, he even threatened to roll us up in it if we didn't stay in the car out of the way!

We woofed at the other caravanners on the way out and also the other dogs on site. (There were two others, boring things on leads outside their caravans just looking at us!)

Back home it was a case of us doing the 'Inspecting' of the house and grounds while OTL parked up the caravan and unloaded everything from the car. The Missus started to unload the caravan and then gave up saying she would do the rest 'Tomorrow'!

So, it was a meal of 'Doggy Scoff' tonight, which is not brilliant but we did get to mug OTL for some of his steak and chips, well, the steak anyway!

We finished off the evening with a snooze and a gnaw of our rawhide chews, what an end to a super little holiday.

Now we are looking forward to our Summer Holiday up in Scotland, roll on summer!

Bye bye for now.

Sandy Beaches, Baby Rabbits and Flappy Things!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back on Day Four of our holiday!

Last night it rained and it rained and it woke us up! So, we woke Old Two Legs up with a Big Lick on The Ear!

Then, just to make sure, we did the same to The Missus!

We had our walk around the field with OTL and guess what, we found a rabbit warren with babies in it!

We were having our normal sniff and a wee when we came across this up turned trough that the sheep get their sheep pellet supplements from.

We had a sniff and got a strong scent of Rabbit! In fact it was a massive sniff of rabbit, loads of rabbit with little bits of rabbit!

OTL decided to have a look at what we were going potty about, and he lifted edge of the feeding trough and saw a 'Nest' of baby rabbits! They were all hairy and were very young! We wanted to have a game with them, you know, 'Chase' and 'Bite Your Tail'!

OTL put the trough back PDQ and told us to move away 'cos we might upset them or their mother if she was close!

As if we would scare a Rabbit!

So, for the rest of the day, I kept on whimpering to go out for a wee and headed straight towards the baby rabbits!

In the end, we got told off for whimpering and whining!

OTL took us out at lunch time and we went down the sandy beach again, we ran up and down the beach but because the tide was in, there was not too much sand!

Narrow Bit of Sandy Beach!
We saw in the distance some 'Flappy Birds' as Holly called them. Holly was not too sure about these Flappy things and she stayed close to OTL!

Look! Flappy Birdy Things!
Then we saw a 'Real Bird' hovering over the dunes and Holly said she didn't mind real birds, it was the other things she was not too happy with!

A Real Flappy Bird!
Then we came across some 'Flappy Birds' on the ground and they had stones on them to stop them flying away! Holly said we had better not tell OTL about that or he may use that on us when he gets fed up saying 'Sit' and 'Stay'!

Sit and Stay!
We saw one Two Legs having a fight with his 'Flappy Bird' 'cos it wouldn't fly but rather wanted to sit on the ground all day!

Sit Down!
It was fun watching them trying to control the 'Flappy Birds' mind you, they did look all pretty in their bright colours!

Bright Colours!
Finally one fell to the ground and wouldn't get up again, so the Two Legs had to go and pick it up!

Get Up Flappy Bird Thingy!
The afternoon has been fun, mugging OTL for some nibbles and then getting TM to take us out to the field to say 'Hello' to the rabbits, trouble was, she wouldn't let us near the rabbits!

So we showed off!

This evening we are going to mug OTL for the last of his shortbread and maybe even some of his Cheese Straws!

Tomorrow we are heading home, so, look out for us on the road woofing at the truck drivers!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Soggy Sand and a Sphinx!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

What a night! It seemed to rain all night long, every time I woke up to shove Old Two Legs over a bit, it was still raining!

What makes us laugh so much is, there is still a hose pipe ban!

We woke up this morning and The Missus took us for a wander around the field, just to say 'Good Morning ' to the sheep and lambs.

We got back to the caravan only to find that OTL was getting all his camera gear together, Great, we thought, we are off for an adventure to chase birdies!

No such luck! We were bundled into the caravan and OTL waved Bye bye and headed off to Dungeness RSPB (They don't like dogs there).

I was distraught! I cried and Holly whimpered and we both showed off a lot!

OTL didn't stay out too long because it was not so good for birds 'cos it was wet and damp and the birds stayed in the bushes to keep dry and warm!

All he got was a shot of a Cormorant trying to keep dry and a Reed Warbler looking for some food for its young in the nest.

Wet, innit?
Now, where is that Warbler?

I'm Here!
Back came OTL, (via the Supermarket) and he arrived with some treats for us and a bottle of bubbly for TM, (She likes that stuff)!

Then OTL says, 'Walk?'.........stupid question!

Off we went to the beach and the tide was right out, in fact it was so far out that we couldn't even see it!
OK, Where is the Sea?

We had a game a of chase and a dig. Then we had another run and another dig!

Catch me if you can!
We had to wander through soggy sand 'cos the rain was falling and the sand was all wet and soggy!

Gotcha!
Maybe when the weather get better we will have more sand to throw about and dig in!

It's too wet to dig properly!
Then Holly came up with an idea, 'I'm going to be a Sphinx' she said, 'All sort of enigmatic and sort of serene'.

Look, I'm a Sphinx!
I said she looks like a pile of elephant poo!

 That's when the fight started!

Back to the caravan to watch a load of boats going up stream on the Thames then dinner!

We are looking forward to a gentle cuddle with OTL and a chance to mug him for some shortbread!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

Day Two!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here in Cloudy Romney Marsh Land!

We have had a super day today, first of all we had a good nights sleep, well, after we shoved The Missus ans Old Two Legs over to the side of the bed, just so we could stretch out!

We all over slept and didn't wake up until eight fifteen!

We had fun chasing each other around the field while OTL got the water for the caravan. After breakfast we were off with OTL down to the beach!

It was just great to be on the sandy beach again, even if the tide was in! The top of the beach was still all sandy, so we ran and dug holes and rolled in smellies and woofed at the kite flyer's!

We started of with a combined Hole digging exercise!

All Together..........Dig!
Then it was 'Roll in a Smelly Time'!

Rolling in a Really Good Smelly!
Woofing at Kite People was fun, we would creep up behind them and go WOOF!

Then they go OOOO AAAAR, then they pull on the wrong string and the kite crashes into the sand!
Kite people to woof at!
Then we chased OTL along the sand but he is not very fast, well, no where near as fast as us!

Chasing OTL in the Dunes!

We went over the dunes and slid down the sides, then we dug some more holes and rolled in even more smellies and one even tasted YUK!

This tastes Yucky!
OTL was laughing at us so much that he didn't even tell us off for rolling in the smellies!

At lunch time we had visitors, The Boys, they had come down for a drive and to show off their new car. This one had no roof which means you can enjoy 'Speed Sniffin' and still keep the windows up!

Off to get cold again!
Holly said that she was sorry that they couldn't afford to buy a whole car with a roof 'cos when it rains they will get wet and even if it doesn't rain, it must be cold in the back!

The clouds have been building up this evening, so we may get wet when we go out for our wander before bed!

Tomorrow, if it doesn't rain too much, OTL says he is going to sneak off to the RSPB site to see what he can see.

Without us!

That is the last time he gets a cuddle this holiday!

See you tomorrow fans!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

We're Here!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here in 'Sunny'? Romney Marsh!

It has been a bit of a rush around today and we are whacked!

This morning we went for our morning walk along The Sea Wall with Old Two Legs and the sun was shining and it was a gentle breeze blowing off the sea.

Walking the Walk and Sniffin the Sniffs!
And of course I was there.........

Sniffin the Sniffs and Walking the Walk!
Back home The Missus was packing the last stuff into the caravan ready to go away.

There was our Choc Drops and Teeth Cleaning Chews plus some Pigs Ears and Chicken Fillets and our Chicken & Rice Chews. Not to mention our frozen Chicken Legs and some Lambs Heart. Then of course our Doggy Towels and Beds and Blanket, not forgetting Hollies Puppy Toy (she takes it to bed every night!) Our food bowls and drinking bowls, then of course US!

We sat in the car while OTL hitched the caravan up and off we went!

It was fun driving along with my nose out of the window, loads of strange sniffs all at fifty miles an hour! Speed Sniffin on the motorway!

We arrived on the caravan site about two thirty and of course, the first thing we did was to check the place out! Holly and I took TM for a walk around the field to get up to date on the sniffs and say 'Hello' to the sheep and lambs. The lambs had certainly put on a bit of weight since we last saw them and they were all eating grass now!

OTL got the caravan all set up and the electricity connected. We got back from our walk and decided to have a snooze. OTL wandered off to get water and Holly and I decided we wanted to go with him, so TM let us off the lead and we had a great time chasing each other around the field and woofing at OTL!

Just as we got all settled down the clouds came over and it started to rain! Now this is not on! We didn't come all this way to sit in the caravan watching the raindrops run down the window, so we woofed at the clouds and told them where to go!

Us in the caravan!
Let's hope they soon clear off 'cos we have sniffed some interesting sniffs that seem to come from the field across the road, so tomorrow morning we hope to get over there and investigate.

Plus, there is the sandy beach and the holes we got to dig, I mean, we can't do that if it rains!

I don't do Rain!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Lazy Day for us.

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Today has been one of those, 'Lazy Days', you know the sort, nothing planned and not really inclined to do anything anyway 'cos having a lay down in the garden is a much better idea than doing something energetic!

Our walk along The Sea Wall was, 'Gentle', no running or woofing or fighting or getting lost!

There was one owner with a dog, sitting on the beach, waiting for the boats to come along for the big flotilla that is planned for the weekend, but there was nothing in sight, just like yesterday. So he's got a long wait!

Old Two Legs had a look at the works email and decided that working inside was not very exciting or profitable, so, out he went into the garden to carry on with the 'Pond'!

Getting There!
He has finished going down and is now going 'Sideways' to get rid of the grass and weeds. The plastic sheet is to stop any more grass growing where he has  dug up the grass roots.

Poor OTL, working away at digging up grass roots and pulling up the weeds, we felt exhausted just watching him!

There were a load of twigs on the ground and we wondered where they came from?

Little Twigs from????
Holly spotted a couple of Collared Doves having a cuddle on a wall bracket. They must have been trying to build a nest but the twigs keep falling off the bracket, do you think that's where you get the saying  'Bird Brain' from?

I said I wanted Twigs, not a Cuddle!

We let OTL back in the house for lunch at twelve thirty and then out for a walk at one!

Again we went to The Sea Wall and this time we went up to where they have got the sand hills. We didn't dig any holes but it was fun running up and down the hills!

Skiing down a Sand Hill!
We saw some ships passing and there was one that was very smoky, Holly said that it must be burning old rubber tyres!

S.S. Smoky Sid!

We have got to get all our holiday stuff packed tonight 'cos we are off tomorrow for a few days away in the caravan, let's hope the rain stays away!

Holly and I plan to have a good run on the sandy beach and dig some 'BIG' holes, bigger than OTL's pond!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

My Never Ending Battle with Old Two Legs!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

Wot a 'Hot Day' today! We went for our normal walk along the sea Wall and we didn't see anyone or any thing!

Out to sea there were no ships.

We See No Ships!

So we had a walk on the beach and then the sea wall path and.........Nuffin!

We Still See Nuffin!
The only excitement was when Holly saw a rabbit under the bushes and started her run up.

Getting Closer!
She was almost up to the rabbit before it decided that it may be a good thing to go back to bed!

Nearly There!
One day Holly will get to the rabbit, but then what? Will she just stop and say Good Morning?

Old Two Legs gave me a brush this morning and as I lay on my side with him gently brushing my shoulder and side all the way down to my tail, I slowly closed my eyes and sort of drifted off, as I normally do.

Then my whiskers began to twitch, something was not right, I opened my eye to see Old Two Legs holding the bottle of eye drops in his other hand!

That was it!

I was all awake and on guard, no eye drops for me, nasty things!

Then OTL put the bottle down and picked me gently up in his arms and carried me upstairs. This is a bit strange 'cos after a brush I normally get breakfast.

I was put down on the bed and covered over with the duvet, then rolled over twice!

Wrapped up in the duvet, with just my head sticking out, The Missus appeared and squirted some drops into my eye!

Sneaky SNeaky SNEAKY OTL!

Mine you, my eye is not as sore as it was, but that's no excuse!

To try and get on my good side, OTL took Holly and me to The New Park, great fun in the Swimming Hole.

Nearly Got It!
I nearly lost my ball, until a big old Labrador came and got it for me!

Hey! Get Me Ball Mister?

We saw a mallard mother with her youngsters paddling about in the swimming hole and one dog got too close, so she attacked him!

A Dive Bombing Mummy Mallard!
Baby Mallard doing a Fast Exit!
While she was doing that her ducklings sort of ran on top of the water to get away from danger, I wish I could do that! Especially when OTL wants to put drops in my eye!

We could have some more fun tonight when he gets the drops out!

I'll let you know tomorrow!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
