A New Swimming Hole Just For Us!

Daisy & Holly back again on a super sunny day!

We were out first thing down The Sea Wall, we saw a Cormorant out on a post asking if it had stopped raining yet, Silly Bird!

Even Holly was happy as she ran along The Wall, it beats rain she says!

We had a hunt for the rabbits but they had gone back to bed again, nearly as bad as us for their 'After Get Up Snooze'!

All this rain we have had recently has started the fungi off again. We have spotted some new growth along side the path!

I found a really Super Sniff along the path, and of course, I just had to have a roll in it. Holly said it was worth her having a roll as well and stood in line waiting for me to finish!

After lunch we went for a walk down on The Farm and Old Two Legs was taking pictures of the Purple Poppy Flower! We think he going potty 'cos it's 'Flower Time' again!

Back home again we helped OTL put the liner into the pond. Holly has called it our own 'Personal Swimming Hole' and even OTL pretended to have a swim in it!

Holly said that she was staying under the pond liner 'cos it was super warm and soft, just right for a snooze!

Tomorrow OTL is going to put the Butyl sheet in the hole and fill it with water!

The hose pipe ban finishes tonight at midnight so he has timed it just right!

Wot a Wet One and Holly is Not Happy!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again!

Wot a day it has been, not really the weather to go running through the grass!

We went out with Old Two Legs this morning and were decidedly unimpressed with it all!

We don't do Wet!

As Holly said, 'We don't do wet and shouldn't be forced out in it especially after having a hair cut'!

In fact Holly was showing off all the way around The Sea Wall and even complained of rain drops falling in her ears!

I said 'that would make a good song'! Holly just carried on grumbling! In the end even I agreed that a short cut home would be a good idea!

So we stopped and both pointed our noses at the short cut path back to the car. I think OTL was glad we had both had enough of the rain, especially as we could see that the rain had soaked his trousers and was dripping out of the ends of his legs!

OK, we've had enough now!

Back home it was a good rub down with our 'Doggy Towels' and off to the Day Bed for a morning of snoozing under a blanket!

You know, we only came out from under the blankets for a woof at the man who was delivering the pond liner!

We can't see OTL playing in the garden at the moment 'cos as soon as he puts the liner down, it would fill up with water before he got it into the correct position!

After lunch we went out with OTL to deliver some stuff then ended up at The New Park!

Out we jumped from the car and started down the path, Holly said it had started to rain but I felt a bit warm and asked that my coat be taken off!

I had a game with OTL of 'Chase The Ball' Holly didn't seem to interested in ball chasing and just walked behind dragging her paws.

We had a run on the wet grass, ball chasing and woofing at the other dogs.  Holly still didn't get into the game and kept on asking 'Do we Have to go this way, it's so wet'?

 She was a real old Grumpy Puppy today and when we did start back towards the car, she still had a face like a smelly poo!

I am Not Happy about this!

We met up with some other dogs on the way back and all of them left Holly alone, they just had a sniff and tail wag with me!

We were almost at the car when the rain started again and Holly said that she had 'Told Us So' and that the rain was getting down her neck again!

See, it's raining now!

I called her an 'Old Grumble Guts' and said that if she keeps wrinkling her nose like that she would stay like that and look ugly forever!

She said she didn't care and wanted to get back to the warm!

Not even a fight! I was almost disappointed!

Still, we got some chicken for dinner tonight plus whatever we can mug off OTL.

Then it's a cuddle and a snooze before going to bed.

Sniffs, Mexicans and Windy Weather!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

We got woken up this morning by Old Two Legs, he was saying that we had to go for our morning walk good and early 'cos we had an appointment with the 'Poodle Parlour' at nine.

So? It was only seven and we hadn't even had our second snooze yet!

Off we went, a little bleary eyed and when we got to The Sea Wall there was a Labrador being trained as a 'Gun Dog'.

We woofed a 'Hello' but he said that he couldn't play 'cos his master was teaching him to 'Fetch' and he couldn't move from where he was told to 'Sit'!

Off we went, leaving him to a life of 'Fetch and Carry', we had better things to do, like sniffin after rabbits and stuff like that!

We even stopped for a sniff on the beach at 'Sniff No.6', not that there was anything new! We got to the stairs and got a sniff of something on the beach, so, off we went while OTL wandered off down the path.

It's down there!

It was a good sniff but we couldn't find the 'source', most frustrating!

Well it's not over here!

We carried on and OTL reminded us that we had and appointment at nine, so off we went, back to the car and got into a discussion about what we were going to have done today.

I said that I wanted 'Boots' like I had before and Holly said she was going to have a 'Mexican', and it was like a Brazilian but with a big droopy moustache!

I said that it wouldn't suit her because of the shape of her snout and she laughed and said I was talking about the wrong end!

I still wasn't sure what she was talking about but said that I was thinking about having one as well and that she had to go first so I could see what it was like!

We got there on time and I won't bore you with the details but when we came out, it was draughty!

I mean, that wind can certainly make your eyes water after a haircut!

We went down to The Sea Wall for a wee before going home, but as soon as we jumped out of the car, it started to rain!

That was it, we did wot we intended then headed back to the car! Well, there's only so much we will put up with!

Back home it was a quick rub down and some 'Doggy Scoff' then off to the 'Day Bed' for an afternoon snooze.

We are expecting some good mugging tonight, loads of good sniffs coming from the kitchen!

Let's hope the sun comes back tomorrow and we can go to the New Park!

By the way, both Holly and I decided not to bother with the  Mexican, we'll have that done next time, just before we go away on holiday!

A Slow Snoozy Sunday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

We are a pair of slow puppies today, all that partying and dancing and drinking and eating has left us a little sleepy this morning!

We found this picture of Alun in the prison, we are wondering what he did wrong to land up in there!

We were out along The Sea Wall and for a change it was warm and sunny. Old Two Legs even managed to take a picture of a flower that he thinks id one of the Malva group. He's not very good with plants 'cos he has Hayfever and doesn't like things that make him sneeze!

Holly was running up and down the path but stopped for a breather saying that she was hot and that it was time she had a haircut!

Pheew! I need a haircut!

Little does she know, but I have seen on OTL's calender, we are due to go to the Poodle Parlour in the morning!

A 'Shampoo and Set' me thinks!

We spent the morning snoozing in our Day Bed, catching up on last nights fun and games. OTL was playing about with the photos he took.

Lunch time came and off we went again but this time the sun had gone in and it was beginning to rain.

All of a sudden there came a flash of black and white fur and the greeting of 'Helloooo Girlies!'

It was Barney out for his run. We told him about our party yesterday and how we landed up in jail!

He said that he had been watching a TV program all about River Dance and said that it was all about Two Legs trying to stand on their toes and make a lot of noise!

Then he showed us how they were dancing about all over the place!

We said we thought it looked painful and Barney said that he had bumped his claws a couple of time doing it!

We said 'good bye' and carried on a little way. Holly found a bit of a ball and started throwing it up in the air and shouting 'Look! On Me 'ead Cyril!'

After she had thrown in over the wall we stood there looking out to sea, look, said Holly, the sea is coming back in!

I think it's time to go home, I can smell chicken on the air!

We got to a Birthday Party and end up in Jail!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here again, just!

Today we have been out stalking rabbits, listing sniffs and landing up behind bars!

It started this morning with OTL taking us for our walk and enjoying the sun shine that was all over the place this morning.

First we went for a stalk in the undergrowth looking for rabbits.

I can sniff them but I can't see any!

Even Holly got involved with some really Deep Sniffin!

But that didn't produce and rabbits either!

So we resorted to our 'Tried and Tested' sniff places.

This one is known as 'Sniff Number Four'

Other than the normal sea type of sniffs there was nothing new at all. Was this going to be a boring stroll along The Sea Wall?

We came across a Wormy Man bringing his bucket of worms back from the mud flats and Holly reckoned there was a good chance he would have a sandwich he might share with us, so, while he was cleaning his boots of the mud that had stuck to them, she went up and asked him if he had anything to eat for us.

No! I don't have any sandwiches!

He was rather rude 'cos he shouted at Holly to 'clear off ' and 'leave him alone'!

Ooooooo! We thought, that is a sure sign he has sandwiches and he doesn't want to share them!

Old Two Legs called us way 'cos he says that it was getting late and we were due to go out soon.

That sounded interesting but he wouldn't tell us where we were going!

After an hours drive in the car we arrived at Alun's place. Alun is OTL's cousin and he was having a birthday party. OTL had checked to see if we could come as well providing we behaved ourselves.

Wot! Us misbehave? Never!

Well, we got there and it was a bit hot, so we had a run around the garden and a little boy chased me and grabbed my fur, which hurt me, so, I did my 'Dothatagainsonshineand I'lltearyoulimbfromlimb' grumble.

OTL was standing next to me and heard my threat. So, he picked Holly and me up and put us in the 'Stock Room' where we had to stay for hours and hours!

In Jail,  but I only growled at him, honest!

Holly said that I had got us both into trouble and we would never get out again and we were doomed to a life behind bars like naughty dogs!

OTL finally came and let us out and said that we had to be good dogs and not eat the children.

That was OK, we don't reckon they tasted very good and anyway, we would have rather mugged these three for their ice cream!

After the party, we slept all the way home in the car, so did The Missus, but she said it was because of the Pimms and Champagne she had been introduced to!

Let's hope tomorrow will be sunny 'cos OTL has got to get on with the pond again before the rain comes!

Windy Ole Weather!

Daisy & Holly here again.

Still no improvement in the weather, it's still wet and windy here, more wind than wet!

Not that we enjoy the wind, but at least it's better than rain!

The Missus went off to do some Baby Sitting 'cos it's Half Term Holiday for The Boys. Old Two Legs says that he wishes he could have so many holidays as they do!

We reckon that his life is one long holiday as it is!

The weather had not improved by the time our lunch time walk arrived. We wandered along The Sea Wall and all of a sudden there was Lady passing us with her head down into the wind!

She wanted to get her walk over with as soon as possible 'cos she doesn't like the wind and wet, she even had her coat on today, thinking it was going to be colder than it was!

When she got to the top of the hill she turned and said 'Good Bye' to us!

Back home for a cuddle with OTL on the sofa and watch the F1 practise in Canada, Brrrrm Brrrrrrm!

Wet, Windy and Rude Rabbits!

Hi Woofers!

Damp Daisy & Soggy Holly here again!

What a wet day it has been today!

We were out early with Old Two Legs and we could feel the rain in the air as we strolled along The Sea Wall. The tide was right out so we knew it wasn't the spray from the waves as they rushed up the beach!

Oi! We Sniff Rain!

Us doggies have got a keen sense of smell when compared to you Two Legs! We can smell rain on the air and a Kebab at twenty miles!

Holly and I decided that the sooner we got home the better! No wet tail, a good brush and some Lambs Hearts for breakfast! Who wants to wander along the beach when there is that at home!

As we got close to the car, OTL put our lead on, as normal, and marched us around the corner and there, sitting in the middle of the path, not moving, sat a juicy little rabbit!

That wasn't so bad but the rude little erk was singing out Nah, Nah, Nah, Can't catch me!

Next time Bunny, next time!

Holly and I enjoy a brush, but some times we don't want OTL to hang about, we want to be off to breakfast and this morning it was one of those mornings. We kept fiddling about and rolling over to the other side so he hurries up with the brushing, then no wiggling when he brushes our muzzle!

As soon as he had finished with both of us we marched into the kitchen and sat down with our noses pointed towards the 'Doggy Dishes' on the worktop!

OTL picked both up and asked us if we wanted some breakfast, wot a silly question!

He put the dishes down and we were both straight in!

Muzzle down and tail up and don't come up for air until it's all gone!

After that, well, what is a doggy to do? Up into the day bed, roll over onto your back and enjoy a well deserved snooze!

In the afternoon we went with OTL delivering stuff and finally ended up at the New Park which was great 'cos we haven't been there for a while, well last week anyway!

This time it was not hot and sunny, this time it was wet and cold and even wetter!

OTL put our coats on in the car and then let us out for a run.

We did try to enjoy it, just for OTL's sake but you see, we just don't do rain falling on our tails!

Holly and I had a wee then decided we really didn't want to go galloping all over the place!

So we stopped and looked at OTL and when he looked at us, we looked over our shoulder towards the car. That warm, dry, comfortable car!

Oi! We Don't Do Rain!

It took a couple of stops before OTL got the message and gave in! Back we went, got dried off with our Doggy Towel and sat in front of the car heater and got warm air all over our tails!

Back home for a warm snooze all wrapped up in our blankets, Holly on the sofa and me in my day bed!

A Day Out With OTL

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here.

It was good to have a sleep in our own beds last night, all tucked up and warm and no sheep making noises and no owls hooting all night. It's OK being in a place where we can see loads of wild life but why are they so noisy!

We were up good and early for a wee then back to bed for a cuddle with Old Two Legs, he was snoring his head off so Holly and I had to lick both of his ears to wake him up!

We went down to The Sea Wall to check on the sniffs. Holly went hunting for Baby Rabbits, calling out that she just wanted to play 'Bite Your Tail' with them but they didn't come out at all!

There was no one on the Sea Wall at all and Holly reckons everyone is still on holiday or still up in London getting over the party!

We did see one sailing ship heading down river and Holly said that it left early 'cos it was late for work!

The Party Was Yesterday!

Lunch time came and we headed out with OTL to do some deliveries and we stopped at the Riverside Park. Loads of children everywhere and on top of that the tide was in, so, I just had to have a swim!

Well, a sort of deep paddle then! Holly declined to offer of a dip and sat there laughing at me for getting so wet!

Next stop was a place called The Friary where OTL had to leave us in the car. That wasn't so bad but out side on the grass and in the trees were loads of rabbits! So, instead of having a snooze while we wait for OTL, we instead went potty trying to get out and chase them!

Back home for a small snooze before dinner and tonight we managed to mug OTL for some of his curry, well a bit of rice and the curry juice really!

Tomorrow should be fun, rain wind, storms and floods.

And that's just the morning!

We're Back Home Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back home again!

After a fun time down on Romney Marsh we have arrived back home to all the familiar old sniffs!

This morning Old Two Legs took us for a walk around the field, just so we could say bye bye to all the lambs and the sheep. Then we went over to the place where the baby rabbits are and called out bye bye 'cos OTL wouldn't let us get too close 'cos he said that we may upset the Mummy rabbit!

That being done we went off to the sandy beach again to get a last run before the tide came in and we had to leave.

We got onto the beach and found that there were a couple of  'Sand Yachts' charging about, so we kept out of their way!

At one time it looked like one of the Sand Yachts was having a wee, just like a boy doggy!

There were some of those 'Flappy Birdy' type of things getting ready to fly around, so we kept out of their way as well!

Holly and I ran off down the beach a bit and all of a sudden, there was no one there, I mean, nothing except OTL and us!

What a place for fun! We had a little dig in the sand followed by a paddle in the stream.

We like having a paddle, it was warmer than the sea and not so splashy from the waves!

Even better is to have a roll in something smelly before OTL stops us!

After the walk we got back and packed up all the caravan stuff, OTL took down the awning and rolled it all up, he even threatened to roll us up in it if we didn't stay in the car out of the way!

We woofed at the other caravanners on the way out and also the other dogs on site. (There were two others, boring things on leads outside their caravans just looking at us!)

Back home it was a case of us doing the 'Inspecting' of the house and grounds while OTL parked up the caravan and unloaded everything from the car. The Missus started to unload the caravan and then gave up saying she would do the rest 'Tomorrow'!

So, it was a meal of 'Doggy Scoff' tonight, which is not brilliant but we did get to mug OTL for some of his steak and chips, well, the steak anyway!

We finished off the evening with a snooze and a gnaw of our rawhide chews, what an end to a super little holiday.

Now we are looking forward to our Summer Holiday up in Scotland, roll on summer!

Sandy Beaches, Baby Rabbits and Flappy Things!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back on Day Four of our holiday!

Last night it rained and it rained and it woke us up! So, we woke Old Two Legs up with a Big Lick on The Ear!

Then, just to make sure, we did the same to The Missus!

We had our walk around the field with OTL and guess what, we found a rabbit warren with babies in it!

We were having our normal sniff and a wee when we came across this up turned trough that the sheep get their sheep pellet supplements from.

We had a sniff and got a strong scent of Rabbit! In fact it was a massive sniff of rabbit, loads of rabbit with little bits of rabbit!

OTL decided to have a look at what we were going potty about, and he lifted edge of the feeding trough and saw a 'Nest' of baby rabbits! They were all hairy and were very young! We wanted to have a game with them, you know, 'Chase' and 'Bite Your Tail'!

OTL put the trough back PDQ and told us to move away 'cos we might upset them or their mother if she was close!

As if we would scare a Rabbit!

So, for the rest of the day, I kept on whimpering to go out for a wee and headed straight towards the baby rabbits!

In the end, we got told off for whimpering and whining!

OTL took us out at lunch time and we went down the sandy beach again, we ran up and down the beach but because the tide was in, there was not too much sand!

We saw in the distance some 'Flappy Birds' as Holly called them. Holly was not too sure about these Flappy things and she stayed close to OTL!

Then we saw a 'Real Bird' hovering over the dunes and Holly said she didn't mind real birds, it was the other things she was not too happy with!

Then we came across some 'Flappy Birds' on the ground and they had stones on them to stop them flying away! Holly said we had better not tell OTL about that or he may use that on us when he gets fed up saying 'Sit' and 'Stay'!

We saw one Two Legs having a fight with his 'Flappy Bird' 'cos it wouldn't fly but rather wanted to sit on the ground all day!

 It was fun watching them trying to control the 'Flappy Birds' mind you, they did look all pretty in their bright colours!

Finally one fell to the ground and wouldn't get up again, so the Two Legs had to go and pick it up!

The afternoon has been fun, mugging OTL for some nibbles and then getting TM to take us out to the field to say 'Hello' to the rabbits, trouble was, she wouldn't let us near the rabbits!

So we showed off!

This evening we are going to mug OTL for the last of his shortbread and maybe even some of his Cheese Straws!

Tomorrow we are heading home, so, look out for us on the road woofing at the truck drivers!
