Red Card for Daisy!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

What good news! The GB Ladies won last night at the football, Super Stuff!

Holly and I were all excited on hearing the news this morning!

We decided that on our walk along The Sea Wall, we would pretend to play a game of football and I would be the Ladies Football Team.

Holly said that she was going to be the New Zealand Team 'cos they all have a Kiwi as a pet and Kiwi's taste like chicken!

Well we got down to the beach and Old Two Legs was mooching along and tripped over a football! I mean, a real working blown up full sized football!

That was it, we were off like a shot with our game!

I spent some time dribbling the ball along the path and then Holly got the ball and started to dribble all over it!

She got a warning from OTL about that 'cos it was 'Unsportsmanlike'!

Ref! She has been dribbling on the ball!
OTL told her off for doing that and she stuck her tongue out at him when his back was turned!

Daisy Bites Yer Legs!
I must admit, I got a little excited running around chasing the ball that I got this irrisistable urge to bite it, so I did!

That was it, OTL said I had got a  Yellow Card!

OTL said that was against the rules and he showed me a finger that he said was a Yellow Card! Any more of that behaviour and I would get the Red Card and get sent off!

As he didn't have any cards with him he said he would get The Missus to make up some when he got back home.

Knowing TM, it will have Glitter and Pan Pastels and pretend Diamonds stuck all over them!

Hey Ref! She just tripped me up!

It was a hard fought game with some very dodgy passes and I was caught Off Side!

Daisy is Off Side!
OTL caught me being Off Side and awarded Holly a Free Kick, but she said she didn't want it 'cos she had found a good sniff and was happy with that for the moment!

We had a break and OTL went off to photograph a weed type of plant with very pretty flowers!

Pretty!
Back home we crashed out in our beds, this football lark is hard work!

OTL was very busy working away at his desk, so Holly and I decided he needed a break, so we bullied him into taking us out a bit earlier than normal at lunchtime!

The car park was full of cars and the beach was full of families with children messing about trying to build castles with the stones!

Holly and I spotted one family who were about to have some lunch, so Holly, ever the robber, stood over the top of them and said........................Got any Spare?

No success, they only laughed at us both!

Back home, and OTL went into Production Mode, making some stuff that had to be out today, so that means we may get another walk and we did!

We ended down at the Riverside Park, loads of sniffs and I even found one worthy of a roll!

Holly was keeping an eye open for OTL but he spotted me before Holly could give the warning!

OTL's Gonna be Cross with You!
We found a family sitting by the side of the mud waiting for the water to come in. Holly said that she could sniff sandwiches and wandered over to ask if they had any spare,  but they didn't, so we went hungry!

Got any spare sandwiches?
Back home for a snooze before 'Mugging Time' (Dinner Time for OTL!)

Olympics tomorrow! So you know where we will be all day!

Bye bye for now!

Daisy & Holly

Too Hot To Train!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

It's been another hot day today, first thing this morning we were walking along The Sea Wall trying to decide which sport we should practise this morning when we met up with Dave, a Westie who just loves a scamper about. He doesn't do the serious running like wot we do, so we have to be gentle with him!

Hello Dave! Wanna Scamper?
By the time we had finished it was too late to do any training so we spent the morning sleeping in the sun, in our beds, on Old Two Leg's bed, on the sofa, under the table and at the top of the stairs, well we get bored with just one snoozing spot!

Lunch time came and we mugged OTL for a nibble then we set off to do some deliveries and take stuff to the carriers, then................................The New Park!

Come on, the waters this way!
Guess where I was heading off to!

Yep! straight into the Swimming Hole!

There was my mate Arthur there already, he was having a splash about chasing his tennis ball. I managed to push my ball out too far so he said he would get it for me, trouble was, he tried to show off and get both balls at the same time!

Well done Arthur!
In the end he came back with mine first, good old Arthur!

We went for a run around to get dry, well I had a run and Holly just ambled along, she said it was too hot to run!

We got to the Teepee and decided to have a rest.

A place in the shade!
Holly told OTL that the swimming hole was fun but we had too much hair for this weather and it was making us too hot to run!

It's just too hot out there!
I had to agree with her, so, no more running, just a slow walk back to the car for a drink!

Yeh, too hot for me as well!
We passed some rooks up in the tree and they were calling out to us to 'Roll Over and Die'!

Holly shouted back that they would get into trouble if they kept on like that.

Then one explained that they were playing at being Vultures and were on the look out for lions who had finished with an antelope!

Pretend Vultures.
Holly said that they should find a better game to play as people would get the wrong impression of rooks!

Back home to a snooze in the shade until OTL gets dinner, then we will mug him for a nibble!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Training Hard for The Olympics!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Another 'Super Hot' day today. We have been lazing by the pond this morning watching the insect life come and go.

We have seen a pair of Red Darters, a Four Spot Chaser, two Damsel Flies and loads of other small buzzing things. The birds have been coming down for a drink and a quick wash and brush up!

Old Two Legs took us down The Sea Wall again and we were practising our running along the beach.

We started off with the 100m Hurdle Race and we used the breakwater as hurdles, it was jolly hard work running in all that sea weed and mud!

Neck and Neck over the last Hurdle!
As you can see, we were neck and neck for most of the race but I just managed to get ahead at the last few metres and come in first!

Over the Line!

Of course, after the finish I just had to do a Lap of Honour!

Daisy 'The Bolt' wins again!
The next training session was the 200m Dash, which I won, paws down, 'cos Holly was a bit puffed out from the hurdle race!

Easy! Easy! Easy!
OTL was playing with his camera and managed to get a picture of a Four Spot Chaser!

Four Spot Chaser.
Holly said that at the speed they fly around, they should be in a race. OTL said that they were racing all the time, to catch bugs to eat!

I Spy With My Thousand Eyes...........Dinner!
When we got back home, guess who had to have a bath to get rid of the mud?

Just a little Grubby!
I was happy to leave it to dry and then have a roll around to get it all off my fur, trouble was, OTL didn't see it like that!

Early to bed tonight 'cos we're hoping to get to see the Highland Cattle tomorrow!

Bye bye for now.

Daisy & Holly

Sunny Monday and more Hairy's

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Phew! What a hot day today! Even first thing this morning it was hot as we took our morning stroll along The Sea Wall!

Holly and I were discussing the Olympics and what we would enter and what medal we would win!

As we passed Mrs Corvid she said she could do the High Diving but would not go into the water. Can you imagine, Triple Twist with Double Loop and Pancake Landing with Vertical Swoop Upwards?

Mrs Corvid said it was simple to do, providing you keep your feathers clean!

Gold Medal for Mrs Corvid!
Holly said that as we didn't have feathers we had better leave that to Mrs Corvid!

We did decide that we could do the Two Runner Sniff Relay Race, so to make sure we were in top condition, we had a practise along the Wall!

The Sniff Relay!
I first pick up a Sniff, then race along to Holly and tell her what Sniff it is, then she races around the track and picks up a new Sniff on the way and passes it onto me and I run across the winning line!

Easy!

Holly suggested she could enter the Drain Jumping race, then she proceeded to show of with her paw moves as she approached and jumped the drain.

Holly's Winning Drain Jump!
We thought of several other races we could win but Old Two Legs said that we mustn't be greedy!

This afternoon we went down to The Forest again and we saw the Highland Cattle again. This time I got all big and brave and went close to one and said 'Hello'.

She looked down at me and slowly said 'Hellooo' back!

Hellooo Doggy!
Then we were off squirrel hunting. OTL saw one but it was doing the Fast Exit Trick and he only got a picture of it's Tail as it disappeared into the leaves!

Squirrel doing a Quick Exit!
As we were leaving, one of the Highland Cows walked across the path and stopped to look at us. We were a bit scared but OTL just carried on walking towards the cow and she slowly moved to one side and let us pass.

Hellooo Again!
Bye bye she said, 'Haste Ye Back'!

So that was it, Holly said she was going to come back and have a good chat with them next time!

Off to dinner now, we know an OTL that needs to be mugged for some of his dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (With her Tummy feeling much better now!)

We go racing at Hockenheim and see some Hairy's!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

You will be pleased to know that Holly says she feels better this morning, but her tummy is still upset. So she had to get Old Two Legs to give her a wash when we got home!

We were walking along The Sea Wall when I spotted Andy crouching down on top of the steps.

Andy waiting for Holly!
He is always pleased to see us and I'm sure he has fallen for Holly! I know that because he always gives her a kiss when he meets her!

A kiss for Holly!
We saw The Corvid family having breakfast on the beach, Mrs Corvid said they were dining 'Al Fresco', whatever that is!

Al Fresco? No, it's Mrs Corvid!
We were on our way back to the car when we heard 'Helloooooooooo Girlies!'

Hellooooo Girlies!

It was Barney!

We haven't seen him for almost two weeks and asked him what he had been doing?

Well, he said, I've been confined to the house 'cos I got a dose of 'Kennel Cough'!

'It wasn't very nice and because it is very infectious, and I was kept away from all other doggies, but I'm OK now and back to full health!'

We told him about Holly's upset tummy and he wished her well and off he went chasing a ball thrown by his owner!

Back home it was a butt wash for Holly followed by her medicine and a snooze in the garden until the F1 started on the TV.

We had a game of motor racing by pretending the Hockenheim track was around the back garden and through the kitchen, behind the sofa and through the table legs and into the home straight behind the coffee table and into the garden again!

Just before the race started OTL shut the back door and closed our track because we were making too much noise!

Brrrrmmmm, Brrrrmmmmm!

We settled down to watching the race and mugging OTL for some of his lunch!

After it was all over we went for our walk, a bit late but OTL took us to The Forest! We hadn't been there for some time due to the amount of rain we have had and Holly's upset tum!

We got through the gate and were met by a herd of Highland Cattle!

The Herd!
Holly did her 'Woofin Hello' call and they looked over to us and said 'Hi!'

It seems they have been brought in to help keep down all the bracken and stuff. We will look forward meeting them again over the next visit to The Forest!

We carried on down the path, investigating all the sniffs, some we knew and some we didn't!

A path full of Sniffs!
We went hunting squirrels but didn't see any at all. OTL reckons he saw two squirrels on the ground, but as we didn't see them we told OTL they didn't count!

Was that a Squirrel?
Back home Holly had the last of her pills (on a choccy biscuit!) and a squirt of some stuff that is supposed to help her tummy!

So now we are looking forward to a nice cuddle tonight and maybe a bit of shortbread, if OTL gets his whisky out!

Bye bye for now, see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

OTL has been crying again!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy and Holly back again!

Wot a start to the weekend!

The Missus went off early this morning with all her card making stuff. To day is the Allhallows Crop! So, today it is all gas and glitter in the village hall!

We went out with Old Two Legs for our walk along The Sea Wall, as we were walking along there came a couple of Staffy sort of dogs who wanted a game. They were a bit too big for me and a bit boisterous for Holly, so we woofed at them and I jumped up onto OTL's shoulder while OTL grabbed both dogs until the owner arrived to put them on their leads!

That sorted them out!

Holly is still not right concerning her upset tummy, so OTL telephoned the vet for an appointment and managed to get an appointment in one hours time.

That gave us enough time to get back home and give her butt a good wash!

We arrived at the vet's and we were weighed then sat down to await the vet. That was until a little Westie came through the door and decided to have a game with Holly.

All hell broke loose and it was mass of tails and teeth for a moment or two!

Then the vet called out our name and we went in the 'Consulting Room'.

I didn't like it in there, too many painful memories, but this time it was Holly on the table, push, poke, listen to your heart and then stick a thermometer up her............well, you get the idea!

In the end it was decided that there was nothing seriously wrong, just some bug she had picked up from a sniff or something she had eaten and knowing Holly, that could be anything!

We got some tablets to give her and some yucky stuff OTL has to squirt under her tongue  twice a day!

Then it was out to the car to escape but not until OTL was reduced to tears again when he got the bill!

He is a bit of a wimp sometimes when it come to our vet bills!

I mean, we're worth every penny!

OTL said he wouldn't mind if it were pennies but all he sees is pound signs on the bill!

Lunchtime we were down on The Sea Wall again, Holly didn't really feel like a long run in The New Park or Squirrel Chasing in The Forest, so it was the beach again!

The sun was out and OTL said that this is what July should really be like!
How July should be!
Holly spotted a family on the beach and she reckons that as there were children, there would be Ice Creams!

Got an Ice Cream I can Lick?
Trouble was, they had licked the ice cream until it had gone! Holly was not happy!

We met that big dog we saw the other day, the one that wouldn't let us play with his ball. This time he didn't have the ball, he said he had lost it and was very sad, in fact, he was feeling distraught!

Seen my ball?
Holly said he was just a big baby, yer, but he still is BIG!

Back home again for a drink out of the pond, it tastes nice! Holly had a nibble at my left over chicken. It was good to see she was interested in eating again, even if the vet said we should starve her today.

It wasn't much chicken, just a couple of little bits left over!

Holly said she is looking forward to tomorrow 'cos that means she can have some grub!

See you tomorrow and it's going to get hotter, trust us to know!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (The Grumbly Tum!)

Snoozy Day today!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here with you again.

Holly has got an upset tummy, we can tell that 'cos she has been to poo four times today and she has been eating grass.

Old Two Legs has had to wash her backside after every walk and as Holly says, if he keeps on washing her backside it will either shrink or the colours will fade!

On our run down on The Sea Wall we came across a slug but this one was a Brown Slug.

Normally we see the Black Slug, so a brown one is a little unusual!

Arion rufus
OTL said that they are sometime thought of as being the same family as the Black Slug and the colour varies but other 'Experts' say that the Brown Slug should be considered as a separate species and called Arion rufus!

Holly and I sat there listening to OTL pretending we were seriously interested and trying not to fall asleep. Then Holly spoilt it all by announcing that she wanted another poo and dived off into the grass with OTL chasing after her with a Poo Bag!

Towards the end of our walk a Labrador we know came crashing through the grass to say 'Hello'

'Look' said Holly 'A Labrador Rufus!'

At that point even OTL started to laugh!

A Non Black Labrador Rufus!
We spent most of the day snoozing either in the office with OTL or down stairs while The Missus was watching the F1 practice sessions, it's easy to fall asleep when they are racing around, I'm sure it is the sound of the engines as they buzz around the track, a sort of lullaby in Horse Power!

Tomorrow TM is off to her 'Crop' in the village hall, so with a bit of luck, we may get an adventure with OTL, providing the sun is shining!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Rabbits R Us!........ Red Tailed Bumblebee is OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

Now, just to prove that we are 'Serious Rabbit Hunters', here is a picture of us cornering a rabbit this morning!

Gotcha!
It was Holly that spotted it first and chased it into the long grass, then I arrived and chased it back again, then Holly did her 'Rabbit Eating Face' and showed the rabbit her teeth!

I thought that was a good idea, so I did my 'Rabbit Eating Face' and did my 'Super Growl'!

The rabbit went 'Squeeeeeeek' which is rabbit for 'Don't eat me please!'

It was at that moment Old Two Legs arrived and told us not to frighten the rabbit and pulled us back by our collars.

The rabbit, spotting a chance of escape, shot off into the brambles!

Then, a couple of moments later, from inside the brambles, we heard someone blow a 'Big Raspberry' and a rabbit called out........Missed Me, Nah, Nahneey, Nah-Nah!

Holly said that next time we are going to bite the rabbits tail and that will sort him out!

OTL then went off trying to catch a Dragon fly that was flying about the bushes, no chance!

He did get a picture of a load of bugs on one plant. We don't know why there was so many, I mean, it didn't smell that interesting when we had a sniff!

A Bug Bean Feast!
Back home for a brush and some breakfast, yes, it was Doggy Scoff, but a new sort. It seems that OTL is trying to find us some scoff that is acceptable for when The Missus doesn't cook chicken or lambs heart or liver or beef off cuts from OTL's Curry Stash!

They never learn, We don't like manufactured Doggy Scoff!

Lunch time we went down to the beach again and this time, while Holly was having a sniff at something on The Sea Wall, I was having a sunbathe! Well, you got to top up your tan when you can, I mean, what with all this rain we have been having lately you have to grab every chance!

Got any Factor 30+?
Holly said she doesn't do sun bathing as it will give you spots on your belly!

I don't want spots on my belly!
OTL was too busy trying to photograph a Red Tailed Bumblebee that had lost two of it's wings and had to crawl around from flower to flower!

It's hard with two wings missing!
OTL says that it might have got into a fight or was attacked by a Dragon Fly, whatever got it like that didn't get it all it's own way as that bee must have put up a good fight!

OK, off to mug OTL for some dinner and then some shortbread!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

Sandwiches, Big Dogs and a Swim!

Hi Ho Woofers!

It's us back again, Daisy & Holly!

Our walk along The Sea Wall was fun, we chased some rabbits then raced after Old Two Legs who had walked off and was out of sight!

I chased after him and then Holly suddenly noticed she was on her own, so, in a terrible rush she came flying around the corner calling me!

Daisy..................Where is he?
OTL and I had good laugh about that!

Holly raced ahead and came across a fisherman, so as you would guess, she asked if he had any sandwiches left!

Got any sandwiches Mister?
That was no good, he had got them locked up in his fishing equipment box! So we left him alone and met up with an old Labrador who has fallen in love with OTL!

He told us about some other fishermen a bit further on who had their sandwiches on the bench beside them!

Hello OTL!
Off we went and found these other fishermen but they said they were keeping their sandwiches for lunch time!

Go on, I can sniff them!
As hard as Holly tried, they wouldn't give her a sandwich, she said that they were beef and mustard as well!

Holly was not that impressed with the fishermen so, when she met a new visitor to The Sea Wall, her manners were not up to normal.

He came wandering up and said 'Hello', Holly muttered something about 'Hello Yourself!'
then she looked up.

It was a dog the size of a horse! It had a ball in his mouth and you couldn't even see it!

No, it's My Ball!
He wouldn't play games, then he wouldn't let us play with his ball and after all that, he walked off without saying 'Good Bye!'!

We went out again later and we told OTL we wanted to go to the New Park!

As soon as we got out of the car, it was straight down to the swimming hole!

I was in up to my neck in no time at all!

Here I come!
OTL threw the ball in and the wind blew it back if it went in too far!

I did enjoy making Big Splashes!

Splash, Splash, Splash!
I was having a Ball of a time! I even tried a little underwater swimming as well!

Bubble, Bubble, Bubble!
Holly wanted to join in but didn't want to get her tummy wet!

Don't splash me!
She kept on calling out for me not to splash her, she is a wimp sometimes!

Well, that's it for today, we are expecting the weather to pick up soon and loads of sunshine to descend upon our heads!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly
