Snowflake is moving in!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here and Snowflake as well!

Old Two Legs has finally made up his mind after a chat with The Missus and us and Snowflake. If Snowflake is OK with it, she can stay with us!

OTL and Snowflake have reached an agreement, Snowflake will allow OTL to pick her up without biting him and OTL has agreed not to put his fingers into her cage or stroke her nose unless she says so!

This morning OTL ordered up the new Ferret Tower for Snowflake to live in, so she won't have to stay in the 'Shower Cage' for too long!

We were watching her eat a chicken wing this morning and she was crunching up the bone as well!

My idea of Heaven!

Holly and I left her to it and went off for our morning walk along The Sea Wall. We were having a game of 'Chase The Ball' when who should arrive but Barney!

'Hello Girlie's' he said, 'Look I've been practising my 'Winning Smile', what do you think?'

Do I look good or wot!
Holly said that his tongue was too long for his head but he didn't care, he still reckons he looks good!

Then he showed us a new trick he has been working on over the last few days and he kicked his ball along the path and it bounced all the way down to the muddy beach!

.......and he shoots for goal!
Back home the postman arrived with a book for OTL, it was 'The Complete Book of Ferrets' that had been recommended as a good guide for looking after ferrets. Snowflake says that it should be worth a laugh, just like 'Training for Dogs'!

This should be fun!
Snowflake was allowed to have a run around OTL's office and found his fleece, so she was wriggling all through the arms and underneath it, poking her nose out at different points! She was having a great time especially as OTL was spinning her around on the fleece as well!

In the end she was getting a bit tired so OTL picked her up and put her back into her bed for a snooze!

I'm exhausted!
After lunch we were out with OTL delivering some stuff and to get a new tyre for the car 'cos it got a puncture and couldn't be repaired. After that it was down to the Riverside Park for a run but it was very wet and muddy. Holly thought it was fun to jump in the puddles copying some young Two Legs that were walking ahead of us!

Splish, Splash, Splosh!
We both had fun chasing up and down the beach as well, first I would chase Holly then she chased me!

Can't catch me!
Back home we found Snowflake asleep, you know she sleeps as much as we do!

Off to have a nibble of our Doggy Scoff 'cos OTL has got Curry tonight so there is no chance of getting any of his dinner tonight!

See you tomorrow and we think OTL is going to see if he can trim Snowflakes claws, best of luck!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake!

Back to Work for OTL and we ride 'Shotgun'!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly & Snowflake here again!

Poor Old Two Legs is back to work today, plunking away on the computer and trying to get stuff done.

We got an early trip along The Sea Wall today and met up with Barney, he was out with his owners grandchildren who are staying for a few days!

Can we play in the mud?
Looking across the mud we spotted a Wormy Man heading off for some serious digging!

The Early Man Catches The Worm!
Holly Dog kept dragging her paws and at one time we couldn't see her at all. OTL had to start walking back along the path before he spotted her in the grass. At first we thought she had found a sniff worthy of a roll but instead, she was just having a poo!

Where's Holly Dog?
Lunch time we went off with OTL to deliver stuff to the Big School in the town and we went along to do our 'Guarding Stuff' while he was out of the car, OTL calls it 'Riding Shotgun'!

So Holly stood on her back legs and woofed at the people around the car and I jumped up onto the steering wheel and set the horn going!

Nearly scared the Tail off me!

After the deliveries we headed off to The Forest! We haven't been down there for ages and when we go there we knew why!

It was deep mud everywhere!

Just a bit Quaggy!
We decided to get off the path where we could and hunt some squirrel but no matter how hard we tried, there were none to see at all!

Was that Rat, Squirrel, Rabbit or Blackbird?
It was just not our day for chasing anything, even each other!

If we ran in the woods we tripped over the bramble branches and if we ran on the path we ended up with more mud on us! OTL was OK, he went off and started to photograph last years fungi!

Last Years Fungi!
OTL was on the lookout for squirrels, the same as us but he wanted to spot one before us. That was OK but he didn't see one either, but he did spot a Jay bouncing from one branch to the other!

Hello Mr Jay!
He tried to get as close as he could but the bird flew off, not trusting OTL not to steal his Chestnuts!

Holly had a good idea, instead of trying to spot the squirrels in the tree, we should look for their paw prints in the mud! Well, we stood on the log and looked all over the place but all we saw were Two Legs and dog paw prints, not a squirrel in sight!

Look for the Paw Print!
We got back home and both had to have a bath to get rid of the mud, well, it wasn't a real bath 'cos we stood in the bowl of warm water and shampoo and got a wash like that.

Off for a snooze while OTL tries to tempt Snowflake out for a run but she has pigged out on mince beef and all she wants to do is sleep!

Not sure what is for dinner tonight, OTL's dinner that is, but we will have a go at mugging him no matter what he has, except salad, we don't do salad, mind you, the ham is nice but we prefer beef and stuff like that!

See you tomorrow and it is 'Decision Day' for Snowflake, so she better be on her best behaviour!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly & Snowflake

Is She Staying or Is She Going?

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

We had our morning walk along The Sea Wall but it was The Missus taking us, so no pictures! Sorry!

Old Two Legs had to go out this morning and was awake before us! Now that's a first!

He even woke Snowflake up and cleaned up the 'Shower Cage' before she was fully awake and that's the reason she bit him again 'cos she thought he was after her stash of Ferret Nuggets!

You know, OTL's hand is beginning to take on the  shape of a pin cushion and with just as many holes!
Come on.......Gissa Finger!
Just as a treat, we allowed TM to give some of our chicken to Snowflake, but it had to be raw 'cos she likes it 'Raw an' Wriggling'!

Mmmmm! Raw an' Wriggling'!
Lunch time, OTL was back so out we went, in the rain, with our coats!

OTL was throwing the ball for me but being careful not to throw it into the sea! I have found this super way of winding him up, you see, normally, I would pick the ball up and run into the grass and wait for him to find me, pick the ball up and throw it again.

This time, what I do is to get the ball, wander over to the Sea Wall and ever so slowly, drop the ball onto the beach!

It drives him potty 'cos he has to either jump down or go back to the steps to get onto the beach, then of course, he has to get back up onto the Sea Wall again!

Well, I like to keep him fit!

Look OTL, Bouncy Bouncy onto the beach again!
We met up with a real Bozo Labrador that was practising how the ambush everyone, trouble was, he kept on bobbing up and down to see what was going on!

I'm Ambushing You!
We tried to tell him to lay in the grass without moving but he said that he gets so excited that his tail knocks all the plants about and gives away his position!

Holly said that he should go back to chasing balls!

Look, Line Dancing Again!
All the time it was getting wetter and even OTL was getting soaked, even in his New Super Duper All Weather Coat!

Even I was thinking about enrolling in Evening Classes on how to use a Two Leg Loo, I wouldn't get so wet having a wee!

It can't be that hard, It's just the chain that's difficult!
Back home, OTL got Snowdrop out of her cage for a run around and she bit him twice!

You know, the way she goes at it you'd think she was half Vampire!

Fangs for the Nibble OTL!
She was getting all excited about being let out in the office, she even jumped onto OTL's lap from the desk top, which she has never done before, then she tried to climb up OTL's shirt but he wasn't having her too near to his ears!

So she got put back into the shower where she tried to toss her bed box up into the air!

1 2 3 Hup!
She made such a noise that OTL let her out again but put her back when she tried to play with his laptop, something about 'Where is the Mouse?'

I know there's a mouse here somewhere!
So, what has OTL decided to do about Snowflake?

Nothing!

Well, nothing at the moment, he would keep her like a shot if he wasn't loosing so much blood!

So, he is giving it until Friday, that will be seven days since we found her in the garden and then we can legally keep her as a member of the family.

Dinner is on the table, so I'm off to mug OTL.

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly & Snowflake the Vampire!

Another New Year!

Hello Woofers!

A Happy New Year to you all from Daisy & Holly & Snowflake!

After last nights fun and games we didn't get to bed until two in the morning!

We all overslept, including Snowflake, who just complained about the loud music!

So the morning walk was a bit late by about two hours! But that was no problem and we were hunting a New Year Rabbit just for fun!

No New Year Rabbit today!
We did spot a super present for Snowflake, it would help Old Two Legs from getting Snowflakes fangs buried into his hand!

You can have this any time!
Jack even offered it to us 'Free of Charge' if we could get it off his face!

Charlie wanted to be let off the lead!
We also met up with Charlie who was being kept on his lead 'cos of the other doggies out walking and he showed off good and proper when he had to stay on the lead!

Lunch time walk was late as well but it was OK 'cos there were loads of people around and the tide was in, so, OTL had to throw the new ball very carefully 'cos it was a very High Tide!

He still threw it on the beach!
But it was no good, I still had to go onto the beach to get it!

In the end he put it in his pocket 'cos there were other dogs coming along that could have pinched it!

Better hide my ball!
Back home OTL let Snowflake have a run around while he was clearing up the shower and she seemed to enjoy the freedom. Then OTL shoved us out of the office and Snowflake had a good run around in there.

First of all she tried to get OTL to allow her into the bag of  Ferret Nuggets but as OTL says, 'She has enough in her bowl!'

Come on, let me at them!
While Snowflake was 'Ferreting Around' in the office, OTL picked up my Squeaky Toy that I use to make OTL jump. I normally step on it and make him jump and it's also good when I want to get him to do some thing!

So, OTL gave it to Snowflake to play with, first he squeezed it so the jet of air shot out and blew her whiskers and with that she ran forward and sunk her fangs into it, then she grabbed one of the ears and bit that as well.

OTL says that is the nearest he has ever seen her get to 'playing' 'cos so far all she has done is eat, poo and bite OTL!

It don't taste like Chicken!
After a good play around and investigating the office, she curled up in OTL's hand and went all 'sleepy'. So, OTL took the opportunity to remove five more small ticks from her ears and behind her head. Normally she won't let him near those parts and has even turned her head around, grabbed the Tick Removal Tool and spat it on the ground!

OTL was all tickled pink that she felt safe enough to have a snooze and tried to do a 'Self Portrait' of her in his hands.

So, with his left holding Snowflake he took this fuzzy picture, technically rubbish, but good for a record of how she is feeling safer with OTL!

Someone turn the light out I want a Snooze!
OTL decided to put her back in her cage, so gently he put her back into the carrying cage that serves as her bed and place to stash all her food.

As OTL let her go and started to pull his hand out, she whipped around and wrapped her fangs around his hand!

Well, she thought he was pinching her stash of Ferret Nuggets!

It was OK, no blood this time!

OTL has been called for dinner, Bambi Burgers and chips tonight, so we should be OK for some Eggy Burger 'cos we do like our burger dipped in egg yoke!

It's a Doggy Thing!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly & Snowflake

Winding Up The Missus!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back with you again!

We have been spending all day with The Missus today 'cos Old Two Legs had to go out and didn't get back until late this afternoon.

Our morning walk was not as much fun 'cos TM didn't bring a ball with her to throw for us, mind you, I seem to remember that she was worse than OTL at ball throwing, so I suppose we got let off lightly!

Before OTL left he cleaned up after Snowflake and gave her a stroke and a cuddle, so she didn't bite him and let him brush her as well!

I still fancy having a taste but I'm trying really hard to be on my best behaviour and not lunge forward! You see, the trouble is, I don't see a ferret. all I see is a White Squirrel and you know what it's like when I see one of them in the trees!

Oooh! I come over all trembly and can almost smell Squirrel Pie!

After lunch we got another walk down on The Sea Wall and this time I got a really strong sniff of Rat, I mean, seriously strong sniff. There I was 'Ferreting' around in the bushes chasing the sniff all over the place and I just didn't hear TM calling me!

Well, she was running up and down the Sea Wall calling me and whistling her 'Dog Whistle' (Ignore that thing anyway!)

She even put Holly back in the car and telephoned OTL to ask for instructions! In the end I decided that the rat had cleared of and I blame that whistle, it really goes right through you!

I finally came out of the bramble bush and walked up to her to tell her all about the big rats I had chased off, but she seemed more interested in telling me off for not coming back to the whistle. I mean, I never take any notice of that whistle anyway, no matter who is blowing it, so I don't know what she has to be cross about!

Later on, OTL came back and we gave him a 'Welcome Home' lick and we all went up to see Snowflake. She was pleased to see OTL as well but when he started to play with her on the desk top, she bit him twice, just to show that she didn't want to go back into the 'Shower Cage' again!

As we said to her, 'That's not the way to play with OTL, not if you want to stay here!'

She had a good game trying to get into the bag of Ferret Nuggets, you know she is as much of a greedy guts as Holly!

Just Checking the Ingredients!
No matter where OTL placed Snowflake, she kept on going back to the Nuggets! It wouldn't be so bad but she has had a bowl full of them plus a lump of raw chicken this morning already!

Mmmm! Nuggets!

When Michael and Sue were over here yesterday, OTL and Michael took some pictures of the late afternoon sun to compare colour handing of the camera processors and this is OTL's effort!

Sunset and Power Station!
 Boring or Wot!

I prefer pictures of Holly and me but I suppose OTL has to have a break every so often!

Not sure what is happening tomorrow, OTL may have one of his 'Late Mornings' like he did last year but we don't mind 'cos we can stay up late tonight and sing songs and pinch some of OTL's shortbread!

We are off now so a big Happy New Year to you all from us here in sunny North Kent!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly & Snowflake, TM & OTL!

See you in 2013!

Sunday Visitors!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

It has been a busy old Sunday today. First of all there was the clearing out of the Ferret Cage, also known as The Shower! You know, I've never known anyone to poo as much as Snowflake, I mean, if I did that much I'd be nothing but skin and bones in a week!

Today, Old Two Legs and Snowflake have been having some 'Bonding Time' together and she hasn't sunk her teeth into his hand at all!

She may have brushed his finger with her fangs but no pain or blood!

As a treat, OTL got some of our chicken breakfast and gave it to Snowflake, she started off chewing it but in the end dragged it into her bed and buried it under the towels for a nibble later.

OTL says that if she hasn't eaten it by tonight he will have to get rid of it.

Our morning walk was good, we met up with Michael & Sue and of course, Michael had his camera with him. As Holly said, 'Oh No! Not another camera nut OTL is bad enough'!

Another Camera Nut!
Holly met up with her mate, Bella, who was kept on her lead 'cos she runs off and won't come back. As she says, 'All I want to do is run!'

I'd love a run!
Back home it was a brush and breakfast of Chicken and Biscuits, the same as Snowflake but she has her chicken raw. As she says, 'Give it to me all Raw and Wriggling!'

Raw and Wriggling

I'm going to have to watch her if she gets close to me!

OTL let her out of her Shower Cage for a run around in the office, he had to keep his eyes open 'cos he was afraid she would run and hide amongst all his stuff under the desk. She was a good Girl and stayed in sight, most of the time, and stayed away from me!

A 'Safe Place' to explore!
Lunch time came and we went off for another run down on The Sea Wall, there were a few other dogs and as the tide was in, a few fishermen as well.

One lady had caught a couple of fish and Holly and I asked if we could have a sniff but she said that they were all wrapped up and she wasn't going to get them out for us..........spoil sport!

Got any fish Missus?
OTL was throwing the ball for us but as you know, he's not very good at throwing and soon the ball ended up in the sea. I went in as far as I dared but in the end it was too deep for me, so it was Bye Bye Ball!

Bye Bye Ball!
Back home OTL and Michael were playing about with OTL's big camera lens and Michael took this picture of a Collared Dove that was sitting on the roof next door.

Smile for the Camera!
Snowflake said that if we could get any of the birds into her cage she would show us a good trick, yeah right! How to pluck a Pigeon in one easy lesson?

And to look at her you'd think she was a big softy!

I'm Cuddly Really!
Right, OTL has been called for his dinner, so off we go to help him eat it!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly & Snowflake

Ferret News!

Hi Ho Woofers!

It's Daisy & Holly here again!

Another fun packed day! We were up good and early, just to have a woof around the house before jumping up onto Old Two Legs bed and cuddling up for an 'After Wake Up Snooze' while he got out of bed to sort Snowflake out!

You see, keeping a ferret in the shower can be a bit of a messy business, if you get my drift!

Before OTL can have a shower and take us out, he has to get Snowflake into the carrying box and lock the door. This morning was fun for him 'cos Snowflake had decided that the corner she normally uses for a loo was too full and as OTL hadn't cleaned it up, she found another corner to start a fresh pile!

Also, because she is on this super Ferret Nuggets, it is possible that her tummy is a little 'delicate' at the moment and last night she didn't make it out of the box in time, OTL had to get the box all cleaned before she could be taken out of the shower!

So, OTL decided that it would be a good idea to try letting Snowflake loose in the bathroom while he cleaned everything up.

That was OK, she had a 'Ferret Around' exploring the bathroom and sniffin every where! She was even running over OTL toes, without biting him!

Well, in the end he got it all sorted and out we went for our morning walk. You know, just for a change, it wasn't raining!

Look! No Rain!
We got back and after our breakfast we settled down to watching Snowflake in the shower getting bored. So I suggested she have one of my new balls to play with and she rolled it around for a bit but got bored again and went back to bed!

Lunchtime down on The Sea Wall we met up with a big old Rottweiler who was fat, like I mean, overweight 'cos he was just too greedy! I told Holly that she would look like that if she kept on pinching my food!

He was a bit of a lump but joined in the joke and said that if we gave him any more cheek, he'd sit on us and squash us flat!

Call me Porky would you!

Up the top of the hill we met up with another bunch and Holly kept on calling out to them to play chase but as they were going one way and OTL was going the other, one of the Two Legs told Holly which way she should go!

Holly! Back to Other Way!
We didn't go straight home, instead we went to the Doggy Shop but it was only to get some bits for Snowflake, so we stayed in the car and let OTL loose!

He came back with a Cat Litter Tray and a bag of wood pellets and a couple of toys for Snowflake.

Snowflake immediately jumped into the Litter Tray which contained the wiping of her last poo and did another one! She is a fast learner and OTL was tickled pink over that!

Poo!

Then she had a play with the toys and the ball before going back to her food bowl!

Maybe I'll have a play later, after I've had something to eat!
Holly was keeping a close watch on Snowflake, making sure she ate all her diner and I asked OTL if I could have my ball back seeing as Snowflake has got toys of her own!

Holly keeping watch.
OTL was looking for a picture of Snowflake playing with the toys but she got all embarrassed about posing in front of the camera and instead went back to drinking her water!

Not bad this water!
OTL said Snowflake should keep my ball as I had a load more in the cupboard that I could play with any time and if I took it back Snowflake wouldn't have a ball to play with.

I sort of saw the logic, but it's still my ball, but only on loan!

We are off now to do some mugging 'cos OTL has been called for dinner, so, bye bye for now!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly (Not forgetting Snowflake as well)

P.S.
The Tick Count is now Fifty Three that OTL has removed, but they are beginning to drop off now, so that stuff the vet put on seems to be working!

Snowflake the Ferret and Us!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy Holly and Snowflake here!

We thought you would like that!

Well, rain, rain and more rain and puddles everywhere! That includes Snowflake as well, she has been poo'ing and wee'ing, well at least five times since she has arrived! It is a good job that she keeps to one corner of the shower for her ablutions, it makes it easier for Old Two Legs to clear it up.

If she has to stay any longer we can see OTL getting a tray and some 'Cat Litter' to save him all the work!

We went for our morning stroll and met up with Lilly, that young Rottweiler and we told her about Snowflake but she didn't seem too interested as she has never seen one before!

Where is Holly?
Half way through the walk Holly disappeared, I mean, like gone! We couldn't see her anywhere and no matter how much we called!

After a while we found her, 'Look' she said 'I am sure I can sniff another Ferret!

Look, a Ferret Sniff'!
I had a sniff and confirmed it as 'Rat Sniffins'!

Back home the day seemed to revolve around watching Snowflake jumping and snoozing and eating and poo'ing and wee'ing and biting OTL when he is not careful when he picks her up!

This is better than Television!
It was fun watching her have a clean up 'cos she seems to be able to get to bits of her body while tied up in knots!

A Knotty Clean Up!
It was then that we spotted the dreaded signs, Ticks!

That was it, Doctor OTL went and got his tools and set about removing every tick he could find. He got up to forty nine before deciding that there were some still between the eyes (very small Ticks) which he really needed expert help with, plus there was some sort of crud behind the ear he was not sure of and his eyesight wasn't good enough to identify!

So, a phone call to the vet and an appointment made for five forty!

Holly and I have decided that OTL can go on his own!

Ticks? Wot Ticks!

We spent a little time telling Snowflake all about the Vets and how OTL cries when he comes out of there and she has got to be brave and not bite OTL any more.

However, she can bite the vet, just for us!

Biting the vet is good, OK?
We'll let you know later how Snowflake got on.

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy & Holly and Snowflake!

P.S.
Well, she didn't bite the vet and OTL got all cocky thinking that she was going to be all cuddly, so he stuck his finger by the carrier box to brush her nose, then she bit him again!

Will he ever learn?

The vet shoved some drops onto Snowflakes back to get rid of Ticks, Worms and fleas and OTL has to take her back in ten days time to get her checked up on Ticks etc!

Guess what? The Missus is talking about keeping Snowflake!

Bye bye for now.
