Holly gets lost in the snow and the Blizzard reaches our shores!

What a day!

The weather man says it was going to be 'Snow Flurries', snow flurries? It was more like a raging blizzard!

It was just fluffy bits when we went out first thing, but the wind was terrible! I reckon it was at least minus twenty five degrees when you take the wind chill into account!

This wind gets right up yer tail!

Holly was not a Happy Puppy 'cos it was just too cold for her liking! We were having our normal sniff along the path when all of a sudden she says 'Stuff this for a game of Pussy Cats' and ran off down the path.

She ran down to the end of the path, around the corner and back down the other side and she didn't stop until she got to the car!

Old Two Legs had to go and get her and put her on the lead to make her finish the walk!

She was not happy about that!

On the way back, we bumped into those Bozo Jack Russell's who Holly wound up yesterday. Well Holly just couldn't be bothered, so she barged past them without even replying to their woofing!

 Holly is not a polite puppy when she's cold!

We got back home and OTL gave us a good rub down and a brush, then we had a bowl of chicken and biscuits followed by a snooze in OTL's office.

Before we could settle down we had to get Snowflake back into her house. She was running about on top of the desk and we sneaked into our day beds. She was having a sniff of the outdoors through the open window from on top of OTL's pile of stuff and said in a loud voice.

Well, it don't look too bad from here!

I did my ' I'm gonna bit yer legs' grumble and OTL decided that it was time she went back into her home, for safe keeping!

Gotcha Snowflake!

Lunchtime was even worse, along with the cold and the howling wind there was big balls of snow!

Holly was not amused and said that she was after a quick wee and then it was home again for her!

You know, she really doesn't do getting up early, cold mornings or too much snow! There are other things she just 'Doesn't Do' but the list is too long to go into here!

....and this is another thing I 'Don't Do'!

You could see it was getting bad 'cos OTL had his 'Windy Glasses' on, they are the ones that make him look the 'Cool Dude', well they would on a younger Two Legs but he is getting a bit past being the 'Cool Dude' more like a Dodgy Old Duffer'!

He uses these glasses when he does his 'Climbing the Munro's' walks in Scotland, well not lately since he has become 'Semi Retired' or as The Missus says 'Old and Lazy'!

Mind you, they certainly kept the wind from blowing across his eyes!

Howling Blizzard on the Sea Front!

Back home the new camera had arrived, this is the camcorder to replace the one that suddenly stopped talking to the computer. We're not sure why it won't talk to the computer but it takes movies and plays them back onto the TV. OTL can't make up his mind if it is something wrong with the camera or the computer program that talks to the camera 'cos you see he has lost the program!

This afternoon he has been doing something that he doesn't normally do.........Reading The Instruction Manual!

Who knows, with a bit of luck we will be able to show you 'Moving Pictures' of us three, once OTL has worked out how to make the camera work!

Of course, he has to make it talk to the computer as well!

Sunday Skiing in the Sunshine!

Hi Woofers!

It's Us again, Daisy, Holly & Snowflake!

Wot a day! First off it's cold, then it's cold and windy, then it's cold windy and rain, then after that it's cold,windy and snowy!

Well, sort off!

We were out this morning expecting there to be six foot snowdrifts up against the front door but instead it was rain that was beating on the door!

That didn't stop us, we were out like a flash and off to The Sea Wall where the wind was blowing harder that it was at home and on top of all that, it started to rain a bit harder!

I was playing 'Chase The Ball' when Holly suddenly decided to use her weight to shove me over the Sea Wall onto the beach!

Now, that wasn't so bad 'cos I've done that to her a couple of times but this time she even pinched the ball, stood on the top of the steps and pulled faces at me!

I Gorra Tha Ball!

 I tried to get Old Two Legs to get it off her but he was too involved creeping up on a Ringed Plover with his camera in his hand!

A Bird Ripe for Chasing!

 When OTL ignored me I ran over and chased the bird off, that'll teach OTL!

You know, he still didn't get the ball for me and to be honest, by then Holly had got fed up pulling faces and had gone off sniffin, leaving the ball on the path!

There was a Black Headed Gull who was messing about in the surf, he said he was practising 'Walking on Water' which is a trick that makes the shrimps jump up and then they are easier to catch.

No, we didn't believe him either!

...look, it works, here comes the shrimps!

 Back home we had a big bowl of Lambs Heart waiting for us and we didn't even wait to be brushed, it was straight into the kitchen, nose in the bowl and tails straight up!

OTL got fed up waiting for us, so it was much later that we got our brush!

OTL disappeared up into the office to play with Snowflake, which she looks forward to, 'cos she doesn't get the run of the house like wot we do!

We know she enjoys the outing and OTL and her play games with her toys! OTL puts them on his lap and makes them squeak, Snowflake rushes up OTL's legs and grabs the squeaky ball then slides backwards down to the ground and hides the ball in either of four 'Hidy Holes' she uses!

This is all great fun and OTL says that over the last few days she has started to make noises like a chicken!

Now, we have always thought that Ferrets were a bit odd but sounding like a chicken?

OTL says that is her 'Happy Sound' and he thinks she does that when she is having fun. She dances about chasing the 'Cat Tease' and when she rolls over onto her back, OTL tickles her tummy with the feathers on the end of the cat tease stick, which makes her start sounding like a chicken again!

Mind you, she did give OTL a nip this morning, he had got the plastic container that holds her 'Ferret Nuggets' and had taken the lid off, Snowflake got the sniff and came rushing over to have a taste. Just at the moment she had climbed up the side and was sticking her nose in the box, OTL was also sticking his hand in to scoop out some nuggets and Snowflake, thinking OTL was pinching her food, was gave OTL a little 'Get Off' nip on his hand!

Snowflake says she could quite get used to Two Legs Blood, it's sort of 'Moreish' she says!

At lunch time we were off out again but this time it was down to The New Park.

We got there and had a rush around chasing the ball and woofing at everyone. A poodle came up and suggested a game of 'Chase' and because she was about my size I agreed and we set off at a very fast pace!

I was a bit faster on the straight but she was very good at the 'Fast Turn'!

....but not as good as me!

Soon she got called away by her Two Legs and we went off to see if the Indians we at home but I didn't find any and Holly reckons they have gone away for their Winter Holiday!

Any one Home?

 We got up the top of the hill, just by 'The Watchers' and it started. The wind was blowing and it was cold, then all of a sudden, the snow came down. Well, it wasn't real big snow flakes just sort of cold sleet. We decided that it wasn't going to settle and was nothing but uncomfortable when it blew into our eyes!

Down the bottom of the hill we bumped into a big Alsatian we had met before, ex police force, so he tells us. 'Hello Girls' he says and we say hello as well but keep on walking 'cos he looks a bit 'scary' if you know what I mean!

Back home to a warm bed and a game of 'Hide 'n' Seek' with the chews. Well, Holly got a chew this morning and I pinched it, had a chew and hid it. Now Holly wants it back and is hunting for it!

She hasn't found it yet!

We're off to watch the finals of Crufts on the TV now, OTL sent off our picture to see it they'll show us but we are not holding our breath 'cos we are 'Cross Breeds' and we think they are looking for 'Thorough Bred Dogs'. Which is OK by us 'cos OTL didn't say what breed we are, who knows, they may show us 'cos we look cute!

Saturday in the Mist and Gas!

Hello Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly and Snowflake!

Well, this morning was misty, as normal, but it wasn't raining, so that was a good thing!

Overnight it had rained and rained and rained and the ground was seriously soggy!

Mind you, it didn't stop the Fishermen who were down on The Sea Wall throwing the worms into the water.

No Fish? What about a sandwich?

 While Holly was trying to intimidate the Fishermen I was giving Old Two Legs some stick!

I want the Baaaaaaaall!

 We also found some new sniffs and Holly was very interested in one I found!

Let me share it!

On our way back to the car Holly met up with a couple of Jack Russell's who were kept on their lead 'cos their owner didn't trust them to come back when he called them.

Well, that was OK by Holly 'cos she stayed out of reach and pulled faces and blew raspberries and called them silly names.

They went potty!

 They woofed and growled and tried to get to Holly but she stayed out of reach and laughed at them!

She can be a right tease sometimes!

Back home for some Doggy Scoff and say 'Hello' to Auntie Karen who had come to play card making with The Missus. We reckon they were gassing more than card making!

At lunch time we were off down to the beach again and this time Holly joined in the Ball Chasing, well, she grabbed the ball and threw it down the hole and the pair of us were digging it out again together!

 A bit further on we met up with Oscar and Max and as usual Oscar was all over OTL, playing up to  him and wiggling his tail!

As Holly says, 'Tart!'

OTL's my Favourite!

It was still sort of dull and misty but we have been told that there may be some snow, so with a bit of luck we will see the Snow Fairy again!

If it is deep snow we will ask OTL to build us a big sledge with bells on and racing stripes down the side!

Auntie Karen (The Cat Woman) has just left and you know what? She made just one simple card, it was all white with a stamp and a couple of peel offs.

We could have made that in five minutes with one paw behind our tail!

Gassing, that's what they have been doing all day, GASSING!

Mind you, we did enjoy the chews Auntie Karen brought as a present for us, so, we won't say anything about her production rate on cards!

Foggin Mist & Rain!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly and Snowflake back with you!

You know what? We have decided that the best bit about today is the snoozing in the Day Bed!

We were out this morning for our normal run and is was wet and misty and damp and yucky!

But were we put off? No we weren't!

First of all we got the sniff of a rabbit and took off like rockets, trouble was, the rabbits were rocket powered as well!

Well, the only other way is over the cliff!

We chased them through the brambles but that ended in the cliff edge and we couldn't work out where they had gone!

Holly was most put out and decided that if she couldn't eat rabbit then she wanted to go home 'cos she was getting too wet!

Can we go home now?

I didn't mind what we did but one look at the Gulls in the mist made me think of a nice warm Day Bed, so home it is!

Well, which way is the beach then?

Home to a warming bowl of chicken and a snooze.

Lunch time we were not too sure just what Old Two Legs had in mind. Out we went and got soaked through to our skins! It was so wet he didn't even take his camera!

That was it, we had a wee and then headed back to the car, our beds were calling us!

That is where we stayed all afternoon, Holly said that if OTL thinks we are going out in the rain any more, he has a shock coming to him, us puppy's are on strike!

Misty Again and then it is Rainy!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake here again, and it's only Thursday!

What happened to the sunshine? One moment it was all sunshine and Spring and the next it's woolly hats and rain coats!

Something is wrong with Old Two Legs, he seems to be getting up earlier each morning. You know, it was six thirty when he fell out of bed, normally he doesn't get up until seven. I think he needs some more worming tablets, Holly thinks it's old age and Snowflake reckons he needs a lick of the Ferretone bottle!

OTL says it the noise made by the 'Super Star Card Making Guru' who gets up at Three in the morning with 'Inspiration'  and commences to pound the stamps on the work table to get the inspiration on paper before she forgets it!

OTL has been talking about digging another hole for a pond but we think he is has other plans on what to fill it with!

We were down The Sea Wall this morning and it was even more mistier than yesterday and Holly says that if it gets any more mistier, then it could be classed as fog!

Which way to the Land?

 We met up with Max and Oscar who were out for their early morning stroll. Oscar made a fuss of OTL, as he does, and Max commented on how trim Holly was looking.

Well, that tickled Holly and she just rolled her eyes, waved her tail saying, 'Really?'

Yes, I do a little working out, but just for fun!

 Gawd, I thought, just how much of a Tart can she be!

OTL was busy all morning and lunch time was a quick run around the path 'cos it had started to rain!

Then rather than go home, we ended up visiting some customers to deliver stuff.

Now, don't get me wrong but I do like spending time with OTL driving all over the place and visiting the countryside but today, it was boring!

Like, Very BORING!

We got back home at half past five and boy were we glad to be back!

So, not a lot today 'cos OTL took us out on a BORING drive!

It had better be more interesting tomorrow or we will have a word with Snowflake and she will give him another nip!

It's Squirrel Time again and Snowflake finds a New Game!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake here!

What a super day today, not so sunny as yesterday but you can still smell Spring in the air and there was no rain, well, not on us any way!

This morning we went in to say 'Good Morning to Snowflake and found her trying to negotiate her way around a disaster area in the bottom of her house!

There was water and cat litter and ferret poo all over the place!

He bed was upside down and the ladder had buried it's self into her poo tray!

We wanted to know what had happened and she said that last night she had a bad dream in which she was fighting an enormous Ninja Rabbit and she only woke up when her water bowl sloshed water all over her!

It did look a mess!

Never mind, Old Two Legs gave her a cuddle and a slurp of Ferritone and she was  as right as rain!

While she was out having a run around the office, OTL cleared up Snowy Heights and put it all back together again. Meanwhile, Snowflake had found a brand new game to play.

It's called 'Digging in a Bag', well that's what she calls it!

I've got tons of stuff to dig in here!

She had climbed into the bag of 'Cat Litter' that OTL puts in her Poo Tray and spent some time digging big holes, throwing the wood chippings all over the place!

I suppose it is a bit like us digging in the sand!

When we got down to The Sea Wall it was all misty and the tide was on it's way out. It looked all dangerous and muddy, so we stayed close to OTL, until he got the ball out!

 Back home we had Lambs Liver for breakfast and Holly scoffed all her as a celebration for loosing so much weight. I asked if the celebration feast had put it all back on again but she seemed not to hear me and carried on chomping away, nose down and tail up!

Our lunchtime walk was a little late but it didn't matter 'cos we ended up 'Squirrel Hunting' down the The Forest and as normal, we only saw one and that was disappearing fast into the undergrowth!

We gave chase but soon gave up!

Holly made up for it though, she kept on stopping on top of fallen trees, wiggling her behind and asking if her backside looked slimmer!

Just take a look at this Butt!

I don't think we are going to hear much else until the next time she gets onto those scales!

We find our Long Lost Ball & The Wormy Man is almost Home!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake here with some good news!

Today we found the ball that we had lost ages ago. Well, I left it in the grass and then couldn't find it again.

Today, as we walked along The Sea Wall, there, on the beach, was the ball!

That was it, Holly and I now had a ball each to chase. Mind you, it didn't stop us from fighting over the ball the other one had!

Come on, Throw Them Both!

Old Two Legs spotted the Wormy Man had nearly made it back to the beach. Mind you, I expect he will need a good long rub with a soapy cloth before he gets all the mud off!

Nearly Back again!

Back home it was Doggy Scoff, so we went into the garden to woof at the birds. Snowflake was out of Snowy Heights hunting around the office looking for rabbits and rats!

She was having a super time running in and out of the packing boxes OTL was trying to package up for his customers. In the end he emptied all the stuff out and joined in with the 'Toy Hunting' game!

We found a picture of her, taken a little while back, but it shows you how daft that ferret is, guess what she is sleeping in?

It's her Poo Pot!

Now of course, she sleeps in her Princesses bed, all wrapped up in blankets and with a hot water bottle!

We were going to take her with us at lunchtime for a run but OTL says that her tummy has yet to grow back the hair the vet shaved off. So we will wait until it gets a covering before taking her on an adventure with us!

Well, she might get a cold wet tummy and that's not very nice!

Lunchtime we saw a Wormy Man out on the mud, Holly says that he was looking for his mate with the white hat!

Anyone seen my Mate?

A sure sign that Spring is here, we saw our first butterfly today, it was a Small Tortoiseshell and was fluttering around the rabbit bushes looking for Nettles to feed on!

After that it was down to pick up the big car after it's MOT, which it passed of course! While he was inside the shop OTL picked up some catalogue's on the new cars. Mmmmm, what has he in mind?

On the way back home, we stopped at the vets to pick up our prescription for the anti flea stuff and while we were there, Holly got weighed again.

Now, when the vet said she was over weight and was in need of loosing a half a kilo to keep him happy, Holly weighed in at 9.2Kg!

Seriously a 'Porky Puppy' and when she got weighed back in February she hadn't lost a gram!

So, here we were, back at the weighing machine with OTL hitting the 'Reset Button' and Holly asking if all of her had to be on the machine at the same time and could she leave her back legs on the floor!

'No, on you get' was the answer to that!

On she got.

We all looked at the electronic digital readout display that was hanging on the wall above the weighing machine.

8.8Kg!

Wow! Holly had lost almost half a Kilogramme!

Now is that something to be pleased about!

Well, Holly was dancing around the waiting room wiggling her backside and wobbling her tail as well! 'Look at ME!' she kept saying!

Back home we both had a carrot to celebrate the weight loss and OTL said he will have a whisky tonight as part of the celebration as well!

We are Neglected and Ignored!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake here!

We've got a complaint, all of us, and we want answers!

Or Else!

There we were, all loving and cuddly, that includes Snowflake as well, she hasn't tasted Old Two Legs blood for a whole twenty four hours!

I woke OTL up with a lick on top of his bald head, Holly gave him a cuddle before he got up and Snowflake licked his finger that he pressed it to the bars on Snowy Heights to say 'Good Morning'!

Then it started, phone calls, emails, more phone calls, fiddling about on the computer, more phone calls then more emails!

We got ignored!

When he finally took us out, it was sunny but a bit windy and we had to really shout to get him to throw the ball 'cos he was talking on the mobile phone!

The Ball PLEASE

Holly said that we shouldn't shout while he was on the phone but I said that it was to only way we could get through to him!

.......and I say we Shout!

We were making such a noise that a Ringed Plover asked us to 'Keep It Quiet' 'cos we were disturbing her breakfast!

I mean, what's more scary, a loud woofing or a big bird about to eat you?

Quiet please Girls!

So, we only got a little game of 'Chase The Ball' and before long we were back home for some late breakfast and a snooze.

We didn't see OTL all morning and when we went to see what he was doing, Snowflake said that he didn't have his mind on her normal game of 'Hunt The Toy' and it wasn't even going to be fun nipping him!

We managed to get OTL out at lunch time and it made a change to see the sun shining and the blue sky.

We stood guard at the car door looking out for any cats or woofers which is good fun 'cos when we see one we give it some really loud woofing!

'Cos we're safe inside the car!

Out on the mud we spotted a white 'Hard Hat' and told OTL that a Wormy Man had sunk!

Back home it was the same as this morning, OTL working and us snoozing! Snowflake got another run about chasing her squeaky toys but in the end decided to go back to bed!

So, sometimes these Two Legs are just no fun and I wouldn't mind, but too much work only makes them grumpy as well!

I hope it gets better tomorrow 'cos the big car is going in for an MOT and we may just get a run down The Forest, with The Missus as well!

Snowflakes Game With OTL!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake back with you!

Hasn't the weather got better? I mean, it was well above freezing this morning and the wind had dropped to nothing!

Looks like we got a few days of sunshine ahead of us!

It was super on The Sea Wall, we 'Chased The Ball' and then chased some rabbits and Holly reckons that if she was just an inch faster, she would have had a rabbits tail to show Snowflake!

Another inch and it could have been Rabbit Pie!

I reckon she should get her eyes tested 'cos I saw that she was a good ten feet behind the rabbit!

We met up with some Labradors who, for a change, weren't chasing balls or falling all over Old Two Legs!

The little Westie was getting on a bit and said he didn't want a game but 'Thanks for Asking'

Thanks for the invitation girls.

Bozo was all over OTL as normal but even he didn't hang about too long 'cos he had caught the sniff of something further down the path.

Yo OTL!

When we got home, OTL was up in his office while we had our breakfast and of course, just because we weren't there, he let Snowflake out for a run around!

She collected up her toys and stored them in her new 'Cave', well it's a box that OTL will be packing stuff up in and sending off next week. Better keep Snowflake out of the box when that happens or she will end up in Norfolk!

........and this is my new Cave!

She was in a playful mood and showed it to OTL by giving him a couple of 'Love Bites' when she got excited and close enough!

Come on, tickle my tummy, if you can!

OTL was not too excited about getting nipped!

She spent some time chasing her toys around, especially when OTL started moving them from inside her cave!

Then she chased her 'Mouse' around. This is a 'Pretend Mouse' that used to squeak when you moved it but the batteries ran out and Snowflake managed to rip the squeaky thing out!

OTL sat down with some cord and sewed the mouse back together again, so now she chases the mouse around as OTL jiggles it about!

After the game she went back to Snowy Heights and OTL put her toys back in, so, because she is such a tidy ferret, she put them into her Sssssh bed and then went down to her new bed and fell asleep in there!

 Aaah!

Lunchtime came and we were out again the sun was shining but there was a little wind blowing as well, I hope that's not a bad sign!

OTL said that it was the first time for ages that he had to set the camera white balance to 'Sunshine'!

You just can't please everyone!

I was doing my 'Digging For England' trick and managed to loose the ball in the pile of sand! OTL had to come down and dig it out himself!

 OTL saw a Redshank wandering around the pools looking for some lunch!

Lunch time!

 It was so warm that Holly and I decided to have a race along the bank of the Sea Wall, Holly said it was like an American Stock Car race!

Brrrrrrrrm   Brrrrrrrrrm!

We were going so fast that OTL had to lean over the side of the wall to catch us!

When we got back home, Holly and I had a snooze after OTL gave us a brush and a dose of the Anti Flea stuff that makes our shoulders all wet and smelly for a few hours! Mind you, we have never had any problems with fleas!

Snowflake had some more time outside Snowy Heights, chasing her toys around as OTL moves them after she has hidden them!

Hey! This cave has a trap door!

She had a fun time with her 'Cave' and hid all her toys there in the end!

Look! There are four doors on my cave!

 She said 'Just let OTL try to get my toys now' you see the 'Cave' is about four feet long and OTL's arm is not that long!

Let's see him get them now!

Tonight we have a choice, a DVD or a film on the TV. I reckon we should hold a vote but the trouble is, there could be five options with five voters and five different results!

Mind you, I did get to see my favourite film last night, 'Babe' and I joined in calling out to the sheep and woofing at the sheep dogs and then cheering as the pig won the sheep dog trials!

I'll let you know what happens!
