Us Checking Out The Sniffs!

Yo Ho Woofers!

McDaisy & MacHolly here with you again!

First of all, Happy Birthday to Auntie Zoe, reached to four zero she has. Mind you, OTL reckons he would be please to reach four zero again but as Holly pointed out, it won't be long before her does but it will be a 'Double Four Zero' !

We had a super snooze last night, out like a light, as Old Two Legs says, well a slurp of the 'Water of Life' does help!

When we woke up it was cloudy but by mid morning the sun had come to see us and of course, that means a game of 'Chase the Ball' on the camp site!

We went up the Forest Trail and said 'Hello' to some sniffs we remember from two years ago and found some new ones as well. They have been messing about with the trees and have also cut a new road through the trees!

 Of course, OTL was waving the camera at some flowers, Primroses I think they are called.

Down on the sea front we had a walk along the front and said hello to the gulls and the tourist, (mainly old Wrinkly's like OTL &The Missus!)

 To get the blog up loaded, we have to send OTL into town to a 'Free WiFi' shop, but it's not free really 'cos he has to but a cup of hot chocolate and sit an slurp that while the blog gets up loaded! 

He says that the pub has free WiFi as well but TM won't let him go in there!

In the camp site there is no phone signal, so no chance of up loading by the use of a 'Dongle'!

You know, OTL had to go for a drive up to the top of a hill to get a phone signal and while he was there he rang the Health Spar to find out how Snowflake was doing.

Well, she is having a ball, she has been chatting to the other ferret and has been let out to run around the bathroom for a bit of exercise, she even had a cuddle with the lady who runs the Spar and gave her a lick as well!

So Snowflake is having a ball and three-quarters!

Tomorrow, OTL is off to photograph the eagles again so we will spend the day with our paws up catching up on our snoozes!

We have Arrived!

Hi The Noo Woofers!

McDaisy & MacHolly here in 'Sunny' Tobermory!

We left Gretna at around seven in the morning, it was HARD!

I mean, we had to wake Old Two Legs up and kick The Missus out of bed very early in the morning, about five thirty I think it was!

Still, were up and rolling on time. Off we set and it was about twenty miles down the road that OTL suddenly noticed that he hadn't got a full tank of fuel, he had forgotten to fill up the night before!

That was it, we were desperately searching the sat nav thing to find a fuel stop that he could get the car and caravan in without causing too much trouble!

We finally found a garage in Lockerbie and only just made it 'cos the warning light on the dashboard was telling us the car was running on fumes only!

After yesterday boring ride, Holly and I had decided that we would make sure we got a 'Wee Break' every couple of hours or so and even OTL wasn't going to prevent us! You should see us when we start to whine and whimper and woof and give OTL the old 'Poor Me' look!

After passing Stirling we even got OTL to lower the window so we could do some 'Speed Sniffin'!

That was great fun. Especially when we started to woof at the sheep and lambs who were trying to fall asleep alongside the road!

We went down Glen Coe and passed loads of mountains, all of which Holly says she could climb with no trouble!

Our first ferry ride was boring, I mean, we couldn't even see the water until we got off the boat!

The second ferry looked like it was going to be the same but before we got on the boat, we met up with a local who said he was called 'Wee Scruff Bag', well that's what everyone called him in the village!

He said he has seen loads of Dolphins in the bay and once he had seen an Orca wot got lost!

We thought he was trying to impress us 'cos nothing much really happened in his village!

We said goodbye and off we went on to Isle of Mull. It looked mostly the same as we had last seen it but it was good to be back. OTL planted the caravan and got everything up. You know, awning and the safety strap to stop the wind blowing the awning away! The Tibetan Prayer flags were fluttering in the wind, Holly says they are prayer for sunshine and super sniffs!

We went down to the High Street to do some late shopping and we spotted Sid The Seagull from the last time we were here. He was doing his favourite trick of mugging some chips from the people who had just got their dinner from the chip van!

It's nice to know that there hasn't been too many changes!

Tomorrow we hope for a run in the woods to see if the rabbits are still there, now that will be fun!

Gretna Here We Are!

Hi Woofers!

McDaisy & MacHolly here in a sunny Scotland!

We have only just arrived and have planted the caravan in a posh pitch, all mod cons, as Old Two Legs says!

The trip was, let's say BORING, BORING, BORING!

We soon got fed up with woofin at the Truckers and then we tried woofing at each other but we found out that The Missus woofs louder than all of us!

I then had a go at some 'Speed Sniffin' which was great fun, until MacHolly tried to shove me off the seat!

After a few 'Wee Stops' we crossed the 'Boarder' and landed at the caravan site where we always stay on our trip up to Scotland.

While TM was sorting out our dinner OTL and us went out to the football ground for a kick about and another wee!

When we got there OTL found out that TM had taken the balls out of the car!

So we didn't get a kick about after all!

While I have been typing this, they have gone out to get a Chinese Take a Way, so not only do we get Chicken and Rice, we also get a bash at the King Prawns as well!

Nearly!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

DON'T PANIC!

Snowflake has gone off to the Health Spar, in fact we took her there this morning, together with the Snowy Bungalow!

You know what, there was another female ferret there as well and they got to chatting while Old Two Legs was assembling Snowy Bungalow!

Well, OTL calls it 'chuckling', so we don't think she is going to be lonely!

So we reckon that she will have a few tales to tell when she gets back!

Before we took Snowflake there was one appointment we had to keep, a visit to the Master Class!

Well, OTL pulled up in the car park and as quick as a flash, in we went, Holly, Snowflake (carried by OTL) and me!

We of course were looking to see if Archie had managed to blag a lift down to see us but unfortunately, he must have got found out as he tried to stowaway!

Well, after some woofing by us and getting stroked, and of course Snowflake got loads of strokes as well, we got thrown out by The Missus who wanted to get back to sloshing the glue pot about again!

After saying bye to Snowflake, who, by the way, met up with another ferret in the hotel, OTL headed for the Doggy Shop.

Oh! The Sniffs!

I don't think I could ever get tired of sniffin that place. There is so much Doggy Treats including Chicken Fillets (Super Fave) Beef Bones (Second Fave) and Rabbits, which OTL still says are not for nibbling!

We got OTL to stock up on loads of treat ready for the holidays and we also brought away three soft rubber squeaky balls for Snowflake when she comes back from the Health Spar!

No pictures I'm afraid, there was just too much rushing about today and OTL had to leave the camera at home.

We will do our best to get a daily report from wherever we are and get OTL to take loads of pictures, of us, having a super time.

Tomorrow we will be in Gretna Green, where OTL & TM got married some twenty six years ago!

Fingers crossed for some sun shine!

Friday and it's getting closer!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake back again!

We are getting all excited about going away. Holly keeps watching the TV Weather reports and reckons that we may just about escape the rain that is running about the country!

It was a bit chilly when we went out this morning and Snowflake stayed in Old Two Legs hand, all curled up and refused to come out until we reached the midway point!

Then she was tearing along with us and shoving us out of the way!

Back home it was Chicken and Biscuits and off to OTL's office for a snooze while he packs up his camera stuff. Snowflake says she is looking forward to her visit to the Pet Hotel. She says that it is sort of like a Health Spar for small animals, like wot she is and us doggies are too big to stay there!

She will be taking half of her 'Snowy Heights' house, which Holly says should be called 'Snowy Bungalow!

Mind you, she says that she will be happy when we come back and we are all together again!

Lunchtime down on The Sea Wall, it was trying very hard to rain and the clouds were getting darker as we went around.


We spotted three Thames Sailing Barges heading up the River Medway on the incoming tide! I don't think they were racing but they did look good with the wind blowing the sails!

Then there was Number Two!

A bit further back we saw the third barge being buzzed by a speed boat!

We left them to get on with it and went back to our sniffin!



Well, when we got down to the Rabbit Hunting Ground, Holly says that she could see loads of rabbit and off she went! As hard as I looked, I couldn't see any, thanks Holly's racing charge down the hill!

Nuffin!

 Well, that was it, back home to more packing up and Holly enjoyed a snooze on the sofa while I went up to the office for a quiet snooze, well it would be is Snowflake stopped snoring!

Tomorrow we will drop into the 'Master Class' that The Missus runs 'cos we hope that Archie's Mum will be there and Snowflake says she will give Archie a lick if he's there as well!

Then after that, it is off the the Pet Hotel with Snowflake and make sure she is settled before back home to finish packing!

The Omelet is getting Bigger!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake back again!

Well, overnight or early this morning Mrs Sparrow added another egg to the omelet, there are two eggs that we can see in the nest!

That put us all in a good mood and Snowflake even decided that she would come with us for the morning walk, just to work up an appetite!

As normal, we want to go one way, Snowflake wants to go another, so, we go Snowflakes way!

It was a bit of good luck that she wanted to go towards the Rabbit Hunting Ground and Old Two Legs, spotting the direction, called us to put our leads on.

Snowflake, not wanting to stop, did her 'Reverse Wriggle' and slipped the harness and lead and legged it off towards the rabbit holes!

OTL took off after her and we were all going Hell for Leather over the grass tussocks, OTL trying to grab Snowflake whilst running at top speed!

We were running along side calling out to Snowflake to 'Get a Move On'!

Finally, OTL did a lucky grab and scooped Snowflake up in his hand and braked hard 'cos just ahead of him was the rabbit holes!

That was it, Snowflake was put back on the lead and marched off to the car, which she didn't mind 'cos it was a bit damp on the grass and her tummy was getting wet!

Back home to a Chicken & Biscuit nosh up before  heading for the sofa and a good snooze!

Lunchtime came and we were off into town to take some stuff to the carriers and of course, off to The Forest!

We planned to ambush some squirrels and maybe a rabbit or two but it was terrible! Loads of Two Legs marching about, yakking and making so much noise that even we were getting worried!

Yak, Yak, Yak, Yak, Yakky Yak Yak!

OTL was into his Bluebells again and anything else he could find.

Not a single squirrel showed it's face, or tail and rabbits? Well we didn't even sniff any fresh poo!

 So that was it, back to OTL and his photo of the wood!

There we were, wandering along, sniffin the sniffs when all of a sudden there was three strange doggies intent on giving us a sniff! I don't like uninvited sniffs and I told them so!

So, that was it, back to OTL and the flowers!

Eggcellent News!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake here with some good news!

Still waiting!

Snowflakes Omelet  has started! Well, there is one egg at the bottom of the nest!

 Even The Missus came to have a look and we also saw Mrs Sparrow having a breather on the nest box roof!

One down, another five to go!

So, Spring is here and everything is growing, we just wish the Sun would come out to play!

We went out this morning but Snowflake stayed at home 'cos it was too windy and cold for her. She said she would stay and look after the Sparrows nest!

We of course enjoyed a 'Doggy Run' where we went where we wanted to go rather than where Miss Snowflake wanted to go, and, it didn't take nearly as long to get around to the Rabbit Hunting Ground!

Look! No Ferret!

We spent the afternoon looking out of the window waiting for Old Two Legs to return 'cos he has been out doing 'Important Stuff', not sure what it is but he says it's 'Important!'


Now he is back, we can have a cuddle and then see if we can mug some of his dinner!

Holly has just finished her 'List', that is the stuff she is going to take away on holiday, most important is her bikini!

OTL reckons the most important is Anti Midge Lotion!

I reckon a good Chew is important!

I see we will be discussing this tonight over a bit of shortbread!

We've got Lodgers!

Hello Woofers!

We are here again, Daisy, Holly & Snowflake!

What a rotten day, it has been raining on and off for most of today and why does it always start to rain the moment we put out noses out of the door!

Still, we had our coats on so it wasn't so bad, just a little damp!

This morning we had a walk around The Farm 'cos OTL was busy and had to go out early. That also means that The Missus didn't take her camera out with her, so that means no photos!

We reckon that she doesn't take the camera out 'cos Old Two Legs set it up for taking pictures of her cards and now she is too scared to play with any of the controls!

OTL being out means that life in the house hold is a bit, 'Boring', so, to help pass the time and also making a change from snoozing, which is not so bad but sometimes you can have too much of a good thing, know what I mean?

Well, there I was, sitting in OTL's office, flicking through the TV channels when I came across the section that shows all the other stuff he has connected to the TV, like, Computer and AV1 and AV2 and HMDI2.

One of these showed the inside of the bird box we have got, just outside the window.

I was just about to change channel again when this Sparrow appeared on the screen with some bits of grass in is beak and he proceeded to build a nest!

I was facinated and so was Snowflake, who was watching from Snowy Heights! Hey Up! Says Snowflake, does Sparrow taste like chicken? ('cos she likes raw chicken legs) 'No idea' says I thinking the same thing!

So, out comes OTL's camera and we try to capture a shot!

New Lodger!

When we told OTL about it he said that the last sparrows who nested there we a messy pair and kept covering up the lens with bits of grass 'cos the didn't like OTL and TM watching them hatch out the eggs!

The male sparrow seems to be in the nest all the time, pushing and poking the grass and trying to make it all soft and warm.

So we will be keeping a close eye on what happens and already Snowflake is researching on the internet to find out if you can make a decent omelet out of sparrows eggs, but I don't think OTL will allow that!

Snowflakes Two Outing Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly & Snowflake back with you again!

It has been all fun and games today, first of all, I decided to wake Old Two Legs up good and early so I jumped up on the bed and started licking his ear, trouble was, I had to sit on The Missus's head to get to OTL.

TM didn't like me sitting on her head, so she shoved me onto OTL and he said that if I didn't take my paw out of his ear he'd unscrew my tail so I'd never be happy again!

Well, that's the last time I give him an early morning lick!

Snowflake came out with us for a walk along The Sea Wall and while she was leading OTL over the hill and far away, we headed to the Rabbit Hunting Ground!

I got filthy, I was so filthy that OTL took me home and washed me all over!

Lunch time we were informed that TM was going to join us on our walk AND Snowflake said that she was going to come along as well!

We got to the car park and out we all jumped, then Snowflake said it was a bit chilly and immediately shot up OTL's arm and ducked into his hood!

We both called her a wimp but she wouldn't come out until we got over the hill!

So, with TM watching us and OTL watching Snowflake we all enjoyed chasing sniffs, and sharing them!

This is a good one!

 Then we headed back over the hill 'cos Snowflake decided that was the way she wanted to go and she wasn't waiting for anyone!

Follow me, I know where I'm going!

Back down the hill we some how found ourselves in the Rabbit Hunting Ground, as normal!

Before we got put on the lead again, Snowflake showed us one of her tricks, camouflage!

She says she attended the SAS course, (Sneaky Animal Seminar) and learnt loads of sneaky tricks!

Well, we couldn't see her!

Back home we all crashed out and spent the afternoon snoozing!

Now it is dinner time, so off we go and Snowflake is still crashed out, no stamina!

A Fun Sunday at Home!

Hello Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly & Snowflake, and we got up late this morning!

After the late night last night we sort of stayed in bed a bit longer than normal and Holly didn't even get up on the bed to get away from Snowflake! Mind you, she was late in getting up as well!

It was a sunny morning with a bit of a breeze blowing but that didn't stop Snowflake from dancing along The Sea Wall. I don't know what it is with that ferret but she always wants to go the opposite way! Sometimes she shows off and when she thinks Old Two Legs has pulled enough on her lead, she turns around, wiggles her backside and tries to reverse out of the harness she has on! We know she can get out 'cos she has done it before but OTL is crafty, he releases the tension on the lead and she wriggles backwards but there is no chance of her getting out!

Mind you, that doesn't stop her trying!

Back home it was the 'Big Tidy Up' as OTL sorted and put away all his gear, we of course had breakfast and retired for our 'After Breakfast Snooze' which is one of our favourite snoozes of the day!

Lunch time came and we headed off to the rubbish tip to get rid of some old boxes and other stuff and you know, we were so near to The Forest, well, we just had to have a run to find a squirrel or two!

Well, we hunted and we hunted but due to the great number of 'Two Legs' running around looking for squirrels, they scared them all off!

Was that one or a big bird?

So, that was it, OTL was off looking for Bluebells and 'Interesting Flowers' but what with us woofin at all the other dogs he had his time cut out!

That was it, after a run around it was back home before the rain started!

OTL spent the afternoon processing and printing the photographs he took yesterday and I must admit, they ain't too bad!

Tonight we plan to mug OTL for some shortbread 'cos we know he has got a bottle of whisky he plans to open and lets face it, if there's whisky then there must be shortbread!
