Doggy Scoff........YUK!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

You can tell the Autumn is on it's way, the mornings are a bit colder than it has been over the Summer and where we would stay on our own bed, now we sneak up onto OTL's bed and snuggle up to his back and enjoy a warm spot in the early hours of the morning!

The ferrets say that they have their own bed to snuggle into and of course they also cuddle up together.

That's 'cos they are built for cuddling!

This morning when we went out this morning Snowflake stayed snuggled up to OTL while Mr Brambles was chasing us along the path!

BOOO!

He is a right little villain sometimes and tries to catch us out when we are planning to surprise a rabbit or two!

Down on the beach he leaves us alone and spends all his time digging in the sand and rubbing his chin onto a 'Marking Spot' that both ferrets have decided that will be the 'Notice Board' for any other passing ferrets!

Of course, they also just had to have a 'Ferret Around' the plants growing on the beach. Mr Brambles said that the vegetation wasn't too exciting but still worth a sniff! 

Mmmmm, bit rubbishy really!

We managed to get back before the rain started and was looking forward to our breakfast. The ferrets went off to their 'Ferret Nuggets' that contain turkey and all sorts of yummy stuff!

We went into the kitchen to find our bowls full of Doggy Scoff!

Oh No! we had that stuff a couple of days ago and we didn't touch it until late in the day 'cos we ran out of mugging opportunities!

So, we reluctantly accepted another day of 'Rumbly Tums' unless we strike it lucky. Well, the ferrets may take pity on us and toss a few nuggets through the cage bars for us!

Snowflake did pass a couple of nuggets but they were the old and dry ones she found under her sleeping cushion, still, I had a chew and said thank you!

On our lunch time walk we spotted those Bozo Ferrel Pigeons walking along the beach but as soon as Holly asked if they would taste like chicken, they flew off!

....taste like Chicken?

 There was a Wormy Man out on the mud but we couldn't be bothered to wait for him to get to the beach and Holly said that there was no sign of a sandwich bag on him anywhere!

Has he got any sandwiches?

I was getting a bit desperate, so I gave him one of my 'Hairy Eyeball' looks but he still didn't look like he had any food, so we left him to squelch through the mud on his Wormy Quest!

So, that was it, back home, sniff the Doggy Scoff, go find an old chew I hid in the office and have a snooze until OTL gets his dinner!

I Showed off to The Bozo's!

Hi Woofers!

It's Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you!

You know, these ferrets can get into a right state sometimes. This morning, Snowflake did her 'Don't wake me up until you get to the beach' trick but Mr Brambles had the pickle in him again and proceeded to chase Holly and me at every opportunity! Not satisfied with that, he even had a go at chasing Old Two Legs!

Down on the beach both ferrets had a hole digging contest, Mr |Brambles won on both depth and length!

Then they both ran up the path jumping over and on top of each other and at one point Miss Snowflake was chuckling her tail off as she sank her teeth into Mr Brambles butt!

Back home we had our breakfast and headed off to the bed for a snooze.

OTL was busy doing his work 'cos he warned one of his customers that we were getting near to our 'Autumn Holiday' and they would have to wait for their stuff until we get back and what did they do? Yep! They ordered a load of stuff that OTL has to get out before we head off!

Lunch time came and I jumped up onto OTL's lap and licked his nose to remind him that he promised we could go to the New Park. He took the hint and off we went in the little car!

We got there and noticed that the car park wasn't very busy, which means that the mini two legs were still at school and we had the park to ourselves!

OTL dug a tennis ball out from under one of the seats and we were off, chasing the ball downhill towards the Swimming Hole!

When we got down to the Swimming Hole, there were four woofers paddling in the water and as I got there I woofed for OTL to 'Throw The Ball'

As soon as I did that, the woofers left the water and ran off with their owners!

I didn't care and in no time I was launching myself off the concrete step and into deep water!

 I was swimming out to the ball and getting it back, then OTL would throw it out again and off I went!

Look at me! I've got the ball again!

 OTL would throw the ball and I would go in after it but sometimes I didn't open my mouth wide enough to get the ball and instead of grabbing it I would push it further out!

So, there were times when I would turn around, come back to the concrete skirt and off  I would go again swimming out to the ball, grab it and back to shore!

Come here ball!

 OTL was laughing at me swimming with my tail straight up in the air and called it my 'Periscope'!

Holly said that it looked more like a Shark Fin and called me a Dog Shark!

Maybe I'm a Woofing Shark!

 Back home we told The Missus all about my swim and how Holly only got her paws wet 'cos she said that I could have the whole Swimming Hole to myself.

I was sorry there wasn't some of those big Bozo Labrador woofers who make such a big splash, I would have enjoyed showing off to them!

Still, there's always next time!

Michael gets a Licking!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here on a dull, damp Tuesday!

It is a good sign that Autumn is about to descend on us followed by Winter, Brrrrrr!

I must tell you, Old Two Legs and The Missus dropped in to see Michael yesterday evening. It shouldn't be too long before they decide to either Throw Him Out or Operate on his knee. Mind you, OTL did suggest that they should chop it off, then he won't have any more problems!

While they were there, OTL spotted a Vertical Rainbow and managed to take a picture using Michael's mobile phone.

OTL said that TM gave Michael a lick behind his ear for us, so that's a result!

Then OTL said he told Mike that if he wants his other ear licked he could do it himself!

This morning OTL was up a little late and Mr Brambles and Snowflake had obviously got fed up with waiting for him and went back to sleep. So OTL didn't have any ferrets cheering him on this morning as he rowed around the office, they were too busy snoozing!

No, I can't be bothered either!

Although it wasn't raining, the walk this morning was a little chilly. The wind was coming in off the sea and it looked all dull and grey, not even a good sunrise to cheer us up!

The ferrets were digging away on the beach, as normal and Mr Brambles was chasing Snowflake all over the place! He obviously had the pickle in him again 'cos he was not only chasing Snowflake but he was chasing Holly, OTL and Me!

That ferret has got big ideas for one so small!

 A super breakfast of Chicken was followed by a snooze on OTL's bed, a very comfortable place to snooze!

Lunchtime we were out again and the weather hadn't improved at all, but at least it wasn't raining, yet!

Holly said that she keeps warm by jogging along the Sea Wall!

This beats rowing!

Mind you, I rather fancied a swim in the sea but the tide was still coming in and all we could see was a muddy sort of scum racing up the beach and OTL told me I couldn't go swimming in that!

What about if I jump over the Scum?

The further we went along our walk the darker it got, we could see the rain clouds gathering, so, only stopping for the occasional wee, we headed back to the car in double quick time. I don't mind getting wet when I decide to go swimming but to get caught in the rain, No Thanks!

Back home, the ferrets were still asleep, as usual, TM was slapping the Glue and Glitter about, as usual, so we decided to have a snooze before dinner time, as usual!

Not too sure what is happening tomorrow but we are going to ask OTL if we can go down the New Park 'cos that is where the Swimming Hole is and I want to show off to those big Bozo Labrador dogs who make such a big splash when they jump in the water.

I'll show them what a Terrier can do!

It's Monday!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles here.

You know, things are settling down to a routine here in Old Two Legs office.

First of all, he wakes everyone up with his thrashing around the office on his rowing machine. Holly says we should put some floats on it and pack him off down the Thames!

After he has finished, the ferrets are allowed out for a run around while OTL clears everything up, that is their Poo Tray and the blankets and sleeping beds and then after all that, he serves up the milk ration for them!

Slurp, Lap, Lap, Slurp, Lap, Lap, Lap, Slurp!

Once they get going there is no coming up for air until it is all gone from Both Bowls!

Holly got a slurp as well this morning, OTL poured the last of the Lactose Free milk into his empty cereal bowl and offered it to me. Well, I'm not that keen about milk and tend to have to be pushed to drink it, however, Miss (Get it Down Yer Girl!) Holly Dog just loves the stuff! She has ever since she was a little puppy, I suppose it was because she was weaned too early, well, that's what Holly says!

So, any milk, any sort, gets slurped down at full speed!

Out the ferrets come for a run around and one of them sometimes does a poo on the carpet, in the same place, every time, and OTL says it looks like Mr Brambles is the one who gets caught short!

So, every morning the Poo Tray is got out of the cage and put in the corner where OTL keeps finding the poo and today he caught Mr Brambles having a poo, in the tray, in the corner!

Result!

Mind you, that didn't stop him having another poo towards the end of our morning walk!

The Missus came with us this morning and she and us went to the left and OTL shot off to the right. Well, I know that TM loves us and wants to look after us but it just didn't feel the same without OTL, so I went back looking for him. I got as far as the car before TM came up and put me on the lead.

I was not a Happy Puppy, well, not until I spotted OTL walking with the ferrets after they had all come off the beach!

Mr Brambles had the pickle in him and kept chasing Holly and nipping her leg and at one stage he was hanging onto her hair and pulling it!

Holly just couldn't believe it, a ferret trying to bully a dog!

Back home to a bowl of Doggy Scoff, Yuk!

Holly says that she may just try a 'Ferret Kebab' the next time we get served Doggy Scoff!

Lunch time came and we worried OTL into going out again which was OK 'cos he had some stuff to deliver. Off we went and we were looking forward to a walk, that was until the rain started!

It was raining all the way to the customer but OTL said it was clearing up. Yeah right! It was still pouring down!

Off we went to a local 'Country Park' where we had been before and started our walk in that misty sort of rain. Well, we hadn't gone to far when we spotted a caravan parked in the bushes.

Funny, we thought, this is not the place where caravans are allowed to park!

Around the corner we went and there before us was an enormous 'Traveller Encampment'!

There were loads of terrier type dogs woofing at us and running around sniffin at us but not getting too close. Well, we were by now on our lead and  walking close to OTL.

We expected OTL to go back the way we came but he didn't, he walked us right through the middle of the camp, past the caravans with people looking out of the windows at us.

Pretty soon all the woofers in the camp were running around looking at us but we just kept walking and pretty soon we were out the other side!

You know, we hadn't even stopped for a wee!

Before we got home, we got a run down on the Sea Wall but although the rain had stopped, we were still a bit damp, so it was good when we finally got back home to another rub down with out own towels and a relax on the sofa waiting for OTL's dinner to arrive!

We are off to see Michael this evening, well OTL and TM are and we've instructed TM to give him a lick behind his ear from us!

OTL says there is no way he is licking Michael's ear, so don't even ask!

Sun Shine & Sea Side!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you.

What a lovely morning it was, the sun poked it's head above the roof and lit up the office, just after six. OTL was up and paddling his way around the office on the rowing machine. Mr Brambles woke up to greet him then went back to bed, Snowflake didn't even wake up, she stayed asleep all through the noise Old Two Legs makes!

Mind you, instead of the four hundred strokes he normally does, he upped the total and finished at five hundred strokes!

I suppose that he will keep going up until he runs out of time in the morning and then he will increase the 'Drag' on the oars!

Holly and I poked our heads into the office to see him, decided it was too boring, and went back to bed!

Our run along the Sea Wall was different, this time The Missus joined us and while OTL was walking the ferrets, we headed off in the opposite direction for a faster walk than with the ferrets.

We met up a bit later and had a dig on the beach, that is Mr Brambles, Snowflake had a dig while Holly and I sniffed our way along the sea shore.

TM went off for another jog along the Sea Wall and Holly went with her but changed her mind half way along the path and ran back to OTL and me!

Back home we had Lambs Heart for breakfast and a super 'After Breakfast Snooze' in the office!

Lunch time came and we woke up in time for the Monza F1 Race, it was good but Vettel won, as usual!

In fact,we got a little bored so we bullied OTL into taking us out for another walk!

When we got down there we could see some dark clouds across the other side of the Thames!

Rain on the Horizon!

 There were some fisherman waving their rods about and making a lot of noise.

Sunday Afternoon Fishing!

 The tide was right in, so I reckon it was time I had another swim! Well, I think that soon the Autumn will get going proper like and the waves will be too big for me to go swimming!

I worried OTL into finding a bit of wood that I could swim out to and bring back to shore. Holly tried to pinch it a couple of times but there was no way I'm letting that go while the water is so warm!

Super Swimming Weather!

As normal, I got a good rub down with the towel back in the car and again when we got home.

By the way, we got to say 'Get Well Soon' to Michael who is languishing in a hospital bed  with his knee bound up. Seems like he fell over a kerb or step. Holly asked if he was doing OTL's trick of not taking enough water!

OTL and The Missus will be dropping in to see him tomorrow evening, if he hasn't been thrown out, and OTL says he may even get a photo!

We aren't allowed in the hospital so we will have to get TM to give Michael a lick on the ear for us!

Another swim for me!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Well, you know I haven't been feeling too well over the last two days, my tum has been going gurgle gurgle and I've spent all day on Old Two Legs bed feeling very sorry for my self!

Last night I went to bed early and even OTL kept on coming into see me and stroke my head.

When he went to bed, I waited for a while then jumped up and cuddled up to his back and stayed there all night. By the time we all woke up, I felt a lot better and even woke OTL up with an ear lick, just to show him I was still here!

We went off to the Sea Wall and had a super wander along the path. Snowflake and Mr Brambles had a great time digging on the beach and Holly reckons we should change Mr Brambles name to 'Taffy' 'cos he digs as much as a Welsh Miner!

Back home The Missus had cooked up some chicken and  I tucked into my bowl full and didn't come up for air until I'd finished it all!

I even had some of the ferrets Lactose Free Milk!

When we went out at lunch time, TM and Holly went off for a jog along the Sea Wall while OTL and I played on the beach and I even went in swimming again!

Me Swimming Again!

OTL and I had a great time and I started to enjoy the waves washing me back to shore. OTL says that in time I may even 'Catch A Wave' and become a Surfer!

We got back to the car and OTL gave me a good rub down to take all the drips off me!

Back home to another rub with the towel and a chase around the garden with Holly! I pinched her carrot and she chased me all over the place!

OTL said it was good to see I was feeling better!

So, I think we have a DVD tonight and mug OTL for a bit of shortbread!

We know how to live!

I'm not a Happy Puppy!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you again.

Holly Dog was in the poo this morning, we went out for our normal wander along the Sea Wall and she spotted a rabbit. I've never seen her move so fast! Off she went and left us all on the top path. Old Two Legs, tried whistling for her to come back but of Holly there was no sign.

I would have chased after her but to be honest, I'm not feeling too well. I think I've eaten some thing that doesn't agree with me and I'm feeling Yuk!

I didn't even fancy a rabbit hunt, and that's most unusual!

It took Holly about fifteen minutes to find us again and OTL wagged his finger at her and told her she was a Naughty Puppy!

The ferrets had a run and a dig on the beach but their heart wasn't really in it 'cos they were worried about Holly being missing.

Still, on our way back to the car OTL took a different route and we landed on another beach, so they had their run and a dig!

Back home I crashed out on OTL's bed, I really didn't feel like barking at the food man when he called to deliver The Missuses order!

Lunch time came and so did the rain!

Autumn is now here, we've seen some brown leaves and OTL even pointed out the Swallows leaving for their Winter Holiday in Africa!

I think we have been spoilt with this summer sun shine.

I think I hate the rain!

You may see that from the photo's OTL took, I just didn't want to go out in the rain!

Don't like the rain, Don't want to go!

 I must say that I showed off a bit and kept stopping and wanting to go back to the car.

Holly joined in as well 'cos she doesn't like the wet either!

So we both showed off a bit!

I still don't want to Go and neither does my Sis!

When we got to the first 'Short Cut' back to the car, Holly dived off and was pulling me up the steps towards the car, OTL got the message!

Even TM got the message and was also laughing at us for not wanting to go for a walk, huh!

So, I'm spending my time on my sleeping cushion, on OTL's bed, feeling sorry for myself. My tummy is still rumbling away and I just hope it gets better for the weekend, especially with the F1 racing!

I've Been Swimming!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Have I got some news for you!

I'll save it for a bit later!

This morning it was terribly misty when we went out for our walk, Old Two Legs was still complaining he was too hot after rowing his way around the office this morning.

Seriously Misty!

We got down to the Sea Wall and Mr Brambles went for his morning jog down to the beach. It was funny 'cos he tries to keep up with us as we trot along and sometimes he even catches us (when we stop for a sniff) and runs between our back legs and shouts for us to 'Get A Move On!'

This morning he and Miss Snowflake did a bit of Rock Climbing and surprisingly Mr Brambles was very good at climbing!

 On the way back to the car, the pair of them were pretending that they were cowboys out on the range rounding up the cattle.

You can guess who were the cows!

Get along you Doggies!

Back home they both crashed out and were soon snoozing the morning away! OTL was busy in the office doing 'Stuff' so Holly and I had a fun run around the garden and up the stairs as a pretend F1 race!

Holly and I got a bit fed up with all this working stuff and went to annoy OTL so he would have a game with us. Well, soppy OTL got the wrong message and asked us if we wanted a walk!

Is the Pope Catholic?

You betcha!

Down we went again and had a run along the beach 'cos the tide was almost in. There were the fishermen on the beach looking out to sea.

Now, That Looks Cool!

I decide that I would have a little paddle, just to cool off a bit. So, while OTL and Holly were walking along the beach I went for my normal 'Deep Paddle'

Come on You Two!

As OTL got closer he picked up a stone and tossed it into the water, I pretended to chase after it but stopped when my feet floated off the bottom!

Then he picked up a bit of wood and threw it in the water and I went after it 'cos I could see it floating, suddenly so was I, floating, in the water! The bit of wood wasn't so far away from my nose, so I did a couple of paddles and found myself going closer to the wood, then all of a sudden it was there, under my nose, so I grabbed it and carried on paddling and turned my head around and the rest of me followed and I headed back to shore!

 I had been swimming!

That was it, after that I was woofing OTL to throw more wood and off I went, swimming out and fetched it back again!

This was Good!

I mean, me, swimming, with all four paws off the ground!

OTL said that my tail was wagging like the oars on a Roman Galley at Ramming Speed!

I was dead chuffed about swimming and so was OTL, he said that I was a 'Natural', Holly on the other hand said that she wasn't going any where near the water and that I could have it all to myself!

A bit further on we came across the fishermen and I stopped to tell him all about me swimming and Holly asked if he had any food she could chew on while I was telling the story!

I did also tell him that his fishing rod was waggling, but it stopped just as quickly as it had started so he left it alone.

 We got down to the other beach, the one where we go with the ferrets and OTL found another stick and tossed it in for me to fetch, in I went and had a great time swimming out to the stick!

Holly, sneaky like she is, stood on the shore and waited for me to come in with the stick then tried to pinch it from me so she could have a run around with it!

Come on I'll help you carry it!

I did let her get it a couple of times and we had fun chasing each other along the wall!

Catch me if you can!

Just as we were running about on the Sea Wall, a couple of Water Scooters came racing past making a terrible noise.

Holly stopped running and looked at them pass, 'Wow!' says Holly, 'If I won the lottery I'd get one of those!'

Which is a bit daft 'cos she doesn't do the Lottery!

Holly wants one!

When we got back to the car, OTL gave me a good rub down with our towel, I was almost dry from running in the grass but still needed my ears and tummy dried off before we went home to tell the The Missus about my swimming!

A Good Rub Down!

The ferrets were seriously impressed with my swimming and said that they don't mind swimming but preferred to stay dry!

So, there you are, a first for me and I can't wait until we go down the Swimming Hole again, I'll show all those Bozo Labradors!

Don't She Look Smart!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

It is the first sign that Autumn is arriving, we looked out the window and it was all misty type of foggy! You know, the sort of morning mist that lands on the spiders webs and makes it look like it's hung with jewels!

The grass was also damp and wet and soaked us all! Old Two Legs had to give us all a rub down in the back of the car after our morning walk!

You should have seen OTL this morning on the rowing machine! There he was, rowing away and wobbling around the office and the ferrets were trying to keep up with him. As he went back, they rushed down one end of the cage in the direction of his motion of travel, then they rushed back to the other end as he propelled himself forward to take another stroke!

When he stopped, they had arrived at the far end of the cage and as OTL started back again, they rushed back down the way they had come!

It was so funny! This carried on for about three minutes until the ferrets ran out of puff and collapsed onto the cushion laughing their tails off!

Mind you, they stopped laughing when the Lactose Free Milk arrived!

Slurping in Black & White!

OTL seems to be getting the hang of is now, this morning he managed four hundred strokes in eleven and a half minutes, so we can see some improvement in his rowing technique, not in the reduction in size of his tummy!

When we came back from the walk The Missus gave us our breakfast and then disappeared out of the front door in a rush. She was off to have her hair done at the Two Legs Parlour!

Now, no matter what you think about the hair cut, the secret is to go Oooooh! and Aaaaaaah! and point at her hair at the same time!

We have discovered that if we do that when she comes back, we get a treat!

So, all together, Oooooooh! Aaaaaah! and 'Don't that look Good!

Lunch time we were out down the Sea Wall again, it was too hot for running about but as the tide was in I had a little paddle, just to cool off my bits!

Cool Bits!

Of course, little Miss Goody Four Paws stayed well out of the water and enjoyed a sun bathe while I was in the water!

Yeah! Warm and Dry!

The fishermen were teaching the worms to swim but not having much success, still, they were getting a good tan!

No food but there's a Wormy Sniff here!

Of course, Miss Goody Four Paws kept on bleating about how smart she looks especially as she had stayed warm and dry!

Hey! Do I look good or wot?

Holly found a cool spot under the table while watching OTL snapping away!

Cool Man, Really Cool!

The only photo worth looking at was the butterfly a Silver Studded Blue, of which we have a few along the Sea Wall!

So that's it, we are off to see what OTL has got for dinner tonight, of course, we will have to test it first, just to make sure it's edible!

Warm Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back to see you.

You know, Old Two Legs was supposed to retire a year and half ago, the idea was he could have a restful time, getting up late, spend loads of time walking us dogs and generally making up for all the hard work!

Well, that was the idea!

Today, the alarm went off at a couple of minutes before six, which felt like it was in the middle of the night, but it couldn't be in the middle of the night 'cos Holly got OTL up in the middle of the night for a wee!

After a bit of stretching OTL settled down on the rowing machine and wobbled his way around the office for fifteen minutes, being cheered on by the ferrets who were running around Snowy Heights whooping and calling out to OTL to 'Keep Quiet' 'cos they wanted to sleep!

After a shower, he loaded us all into the car and off down the Sea Wall for a jog down to the beach, Mr Brambles was having fun chasing and digging!

Getting a Charge On!

Miss Snowflake really doesn't do mornings, a bit like Holly, but falling asleep again in OTL's arm on her way to the beach is a bit much!

I don't do Mornings!

Holly managed to get ahead and jumped up onto the table calling out that she was on Table Top Mountain!

Waiting for the Gang to catch up!

After the beach we have jog back to the car, sniffin' the sniffs and woofing at the other dogs along the path. Back home to a feed and a snooze while OTL starts work on the computer!

I think OTL has gone wrong somewhere along the line!

What makes us laugh is even though he works in the office, there is also the other work he does on the Dustbin Lorries!

Take this afternoon, off he went without asking us, off to play on the lorries.

We were a bit put out that we couldn't go with him but I suppose that the hot weather would have made it uncomfortable for us waiting in the car for him.

But it doesn't stop us from missing him!

Waiting for OTL

 We waited and waited and waited and wouldn't leave the window until he came back. When he did arrive we gave him a Super Big Welcome Home Lick and a Cuddle!

We don't think he has any plans to go out tomorrow, so it's back to the Sea Wall for some fun!

Fiona, Snowflake was glad to hear that another Ferret found a good home!

Bye bye for now, we're off to mug OTL for some Shortbread!
