A Broad Day

Hi Woofers,

Daisy & Holly here!

After we posted the blog yesterday, Old Two Legs asked what was for dinner, 'Salad and Meat' says The Missus, 'Yuk!' says OTL!

Salad to OTL is about the same as Doggy Scoff to us!

'How about a Chinese?' says OTL reaching for his triple locked wallet.

Well, we had some chicken chow summat and King Prawns and some other rice type of stuff.

After the chicken nibbles we managed to mug Holly started on the stuff OTL calls 'Plawn Clackers!'

I only have a few bits of the Plawn Clackers but Holly just loves them!

OTL picked up one, took a small bite and looked the other way, just long enough for Holly to lean over and bite a big lump out of the remaining bit in OTL's hand!

Naughty Holly! Still, it got her a couple of full sized ones to nibble on!

This morning we stayed in bed a bit later than normal 'cos we were tired after yesterdays running around on the beach. When we finally did get up TM told us that we were to 'Clear Off' today 'cos she had plans to play with all her Ally Pally purchases and didn't want us under her feet!

Well, that was it, after our walk in the forest (Holly is still not happy about going in there!)

Holly is Still Moaning!
Then we set off for a RSPB site near to Great Yarmouth.

When we finally arrived at the place, it had gone! I mean, like, there was no sign of an RSPB site, just a factory type building and notices telling us all to 'Clear Off' 'Sounds a bit like TM!' says Holly!

OTL had a look on his SatNav Gizmo Thingy and said there was another site a few miles away, so off we went singing our driving songs!

We landed up at a very small car park and a sign telling us we were at Buckenham Marshes!

This Be Buckenham!
The path down to the waters edge was across a railway crossing where we had to open and close heavy white gates and listen to find out if there were any trains coming, which there weren't, lucky for us!

Off we went past fields full of geese and swans and coots and moor hens and herons and a Kestrel looking for lunch!

Anyone for Lunch?
We ended up stopping at a big river.

The Broads!
OTL said it was called The Broads, a big sort of inland waterway where everyone runs around in boats going Yo Ho! To each other and other nautical stuff they learnt from reading boaty books!

Holly said it all looked pretty daft to her 'cos where could a poor doggy go when they wanted a wee?

What do your when you want a Wee?
We walked for miles along the river bank saying 'Hello' to the fishermen who were trying to teach their worms to swim, as normal!

Another Fisherman!
We woofed at a couple of those inland boaty things and OTL told us if we woofed too much he would throw us in The Broads and make us swim back!

I'm Not Swimming in There!
Yeah Right, just see what TM would say about that!

We came across an old Windmill that had lost all it's windy bits and was now a place where they kept an electrical pump to pump water from the ditches out to the big river.

A Windy Pumpy Thingy!
OTL spotted some egg shells that he reckons are pigeon eggs and they had come from a nest box that looked like it was meant for Barn Owls!

We walked all the way to the end of the path then turned around and headed back to the car. I was getting a bit tired, so I did my 'Pick Us Up OTL' trick and he heaved me up on his shoulder for a while. You know, he is a bit of a wimp, there I was sitting on his shoulder when I started to slip a bit, so I dug my claws in to stop me falling off. The fact I dug them into his neck doesn't really matter, well, I didn't want to fall off!

It's Only One Claw!
When we got back to the car, OTL had a packet of crisps and we had a couple of 'Doggy Sausages' before heading off for home.

Holly and I slept most of the way back, I reckon that my poor feet must almost be worn away what with all this walking lark!

Tomorrow we want a 'Restful Day'

See what happens!

Bye bye for now!

Daisy & Holly

A Beach to Die For!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly back again!

Well, Holly is still not sure about the forest, she keeps dragging on the lead and Old Two Legs has to go back, tickle her ear and then she is off again, for a while before she does the 'Scaredy' bit again!

OTL took some pictures of the forest this morning, with the sunlight filtering through the branches. I must admit, I've seen better!

Morning.
After our morning stroll, OTL had some work to do on the computer and a couple of phone calls to make, once finished, we were off to Titchwell Marsh, which is a RSPB site but this one is special!

You see, it has a 'Public Footpath' all the way through it and it keeps going until you reach the beach.

Now, I'm not saying it is big, but we couldn't see one end from the other!

I mean BIG!
We had a super time running and digging and woofing and chasing OTL and The Missus.

Then we found some sniffs that were just right for a roll, so I had one!

Some Sniffs are made for a Roll!
Holly said that her sniff was better and to prove it............she had a roll as well!

This is GREAT!
Then we played chase the ball and then chase the sea gulls and, well we were exhausted in no time flat and had to have a rest just to get over our fun and games!

Holly doing a Sand Dance!
Then I decided to race off towards the waves, it was miles away from the beach and in the end I had to put up with a big long puddle!

It's a Long Way to the sea!
Holly and I were so puffed that we had to have a rest, just where the puddle was. I sat down but Holly just had a paddle!

Then I decided to try running through the water!

Jus' Cooling Off!
OTL was showing us where a Razor Clam lived, all I could see was a hole and a pile of poo, but we all nodded our heads and tried to look interested!

Eat Sand one end and poo it the other end, so, what's new?
We got back to the car and OTL gave us a good rub down with the towel and brushed our fur so the sand all fell out, into the back of the car!

Back home in the caravan we decided that the best place for us was asleep, catching up on our missed 'Daytime Snoozes'!

Wake me for dinner!
OTL telephoned to see how Snowflake and Mr Brambles were and it appears they are having a super time in the Jacuzzi!

Lucky ferrets!

Not sure what we are doing tomorrow, OTL keeps talking about a Whisky Distillery, but I'm sure they don't do that in England!

Bye for now!

Daisy & Holly

Tired Little Puppy's

Hi Ho Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy & Holly!

We have had a super day today. First off this morning, Old Two Legs had to do some quick work on the computer via the Internet but the WiFi on the camp site was down! Seems they were doing an upgrade that meant the whole system would be off line all day!

OTL wasn't in the best of moods!

We went out for our morning walk and OTL tried to go through the forest on the path we normally take. For some reason and even she couldn't tell us why, Holly just refused to go through the dark trees! She put her chin on the ground and stuck her tail in the air and refused to move!

Even when OTL pulled on the lead, she didn't move!

OTL walked us around a different part and even when we saw thousands of geese in the field, Holly was still a bit worried!

Christmas Goose
So, we went around the other way, through the camp site and into the forest via the path Holly knew. She was still a bit hesitant but finally agreed to walk up the wide path.

I sort of remember but I'm still not happy!
After doing our business she was pulling to get back to the caravan, strange, very strange!

The Missus had decided that she would do some card making today and told us we could all have the day to ourselves, so we piled into the car and soon were off to Snettersham.

Now, OTL knows there is a RSPB site there and we remember that there was the beach as well!

So we were all going to be happy!

are we there yet?
Of course, all we wanted was to get onto the beach but OTL just had to keep stopping to take pictures!

.......and there was the spiders web.
Then a bit further on he had to stop again to see a Dragon Fly that 'Had been in the Wars'!

It only hurts when I flap my wings!
We stopped in one of the Bird Hides but the birds were so far away we could hardly see them!

Where have all the Birdies gone?
Holly and I sat there for ages waiting for them to come back but they stayed out on the mud!

OTL said we couldn't go out on the mud to meet them 'cos we would get all mucky, as if we would!

I spy with my little eye something beginning with M
Then while we were watching out the front, OTL spotted some Greylag Geese flying in to the ponds behind the hide!

Flaps Down Jacko!
On the way back he was at it again, but this time it was Fungi!

OTL's First Fungi of the Holiday!
When we finally got back to the caravan we were tired little puppies and headed for the bed for a snooze before dinner, OTL's dinner that is!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy & Holly

We are Here!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy & Holly here!

We have arrived and got the caravan all parked up, in line with the wooden stake that denotes the parking (Pitch) number. 'Cos if you park on the Hard Standing like wot we have you have to make sure that the caravan is correctly parked, all square with the road and in the correct position 'cos The Warden comes along and makes sure you are obeying the rules and if you don't, you can get thrown off the site and banned from The Club!

They are really strict on these caravan sites!

What is worse, all the other caravan people are sitting in their caravans, looking at you parking and then they give you points for straightness and how well you put up the awning as well!

On the way up here we had some fun 'Speed Sniffin' once we got to the forest bit, it was great!

Speed Sniffin |through The Forest
I seem to remember that there were loads of squirrels here the last time we visited but so far I've not seen any sign of a Fluffy Tailed Squirrel!

Here Little Squirrel!
We hunted all the way around the Dog Walking bit and Holly even had a poo on the path!

Then she found the Old Seat we use to sit on and jumped up to survey the area. It was then that she sat down and said...........

Now, What's for Dinner?
Typical Holly, always thinking of her tummy!

We soon headed back to the site and wandered down the main roadway looking at all the other caravans parked up, some were a bit wobbly, so they may get a telling off from The Warden!

Look! That ones's Wobbly!

Not sure what we are doing tomorrow, OTL says it depends on the weather, so we will have to wait and see, Forest or Beach?

Bye bye for now!

Getting Ready for Our Holiday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy and Holly here.

No, don't panic, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles have booked into their Hotel and expect to be pampered for the next two weeks!

We took them up there this morning.

Old Two Legs had to get up an hour earlier than normal 'cos we had to get our morning walk in before taking The Missus and Auntie Shela and Diane to town so they can get the train to Ally Pally for their Glue & Glitter Day!

TM decided that she had to leave the house by eight, so that means, poor us, had to get up at five, just  to get everything done in time!

Well, OTL was up at five, a thirty minute thrash on the paddling machine then into the shower before getting dressed and gathering us all for the Morning Walk.

It was just after the sun rise, so we didn't have to walk in the dark, mind you, Mr Brambles was well up for a dig on the beach but Miss Snowflake would have rather gone back to bed!

After dropping TM & Co off, OTL was back to dismantle the ferrets cage, Snowy Heights, and get it packed for transporting to The Hotel.

OTL says that it will be better for the ferrets to have their own, big, cage rather than the small things that were in the hotel. Well, the ferrets get used to a certain standard of living and it wouldn't be fair to down grade them, especially as they are on holiday!

Back home it was a bit sad to see the other half of the ferret cage all empty, still we are sure they will have a good time!

Holly has been searching for her swimming costume 'cos she reckons she will do some sun bathing in the forest clearings! I reckon it is not going to be too warm, so I'm taking my rain coat, just in case!

We got some chicken this morning which is just as well 'cos we were going to report TM to the RSPD&H!

Lunch time we were down the Sea Wall again and the tide was right up the beach, I wanted to go for a swim but OTL said I had to stay out of the water as we were going away tomorrow and I might just make the car all messy, well, messier than it already is!

How about a little paddle then?
A bit further along the Sea Wall, the tide was right up as far as it will go, we could tell that 'cos right at the very top of the tide, there are some very big waves that crash against the Sea Wall.

It looks so calm then these wave land on the beach or Sea Wall making such a noise!

High Tide Again Sis!

It made so much noise that I get a bit worried and decide that maybe a swim would not be a good idea!

I've changed my mind OTL, the waves are too big!
OTL got the telephone call to pick TM & Co up and as soon as she came through the door we gave her a big Welcome Home Lick!

So, early to bed tonight as we are up early again for our holiday!

We are looking forward to seeing the squirrels in the forest again 'cos we haven't seen any for ages, so, stay clear 'cos we will be Squirrel Hunting for the next two weeks!

Bye Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy & Holly

PS. Snowflake and Mr Brambles say Hello as well!

Wot a Saturday!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

I'm getting a bit worried about Old Two Legs, I think he is trying to show off with his new boat. This morning he was up at the same time as normal and staggered off into the office to wrestle with the oars on his boat. Both ferrets were cuddled up together in bed and when OTL turned the light on, all they did was to raise their heads, see who it was making all the noise, then went back to sleep!

Well, OTL was there, splashing around the office and watching the news on the TV. It was only when he had got to a stroke count of six hundred and fifty did he stop! You know, if he keeps on like this I can see him falling off the boat with exhaustion!

Then who will take us all out?

The weather was OK down on the Sea Wall and both ferrets had fun digging in the sand. As they were doing that, a big Bozo Labrador came passed and wandered down onto the beach while his owner stayed up on the path. The owner had said 'Good Morning' to us all so was most aware that we were all looking at him when his Bozo Dog decided to have a poo on the beach!

The owner looked back towards us and then walked back to OTL and said 'Hey Mate, have you got a spare poo bag?'

Of course we have and OTL handed one over and we all watched him wander down the beach and pick up the poo!

Snowflake said that she wondered if he would have done that if there was no one watching him?

Mr Brambles said that he may dig a big hole to trap Bozo's and then give them a lesson on using Poo Bags.

Yeah, just like him?

We've got him on video missing the Poo Tray all together!

I'd put him in here!
The ferrets always stop at a clump of grass to rub their chins on the grass and leave a scent behind, Snowflake reckons there are Stoats about and if she rubs her chin in the grass, one day we will meet them!

I'm sure it's a Stoat!
Lunch time we had to go out with OTL to get some stuff for the caravan before we go away for our second holiday! So, while we were down that way, we dropped into the Riverside Park to see what was new.

First of all we had a good look around the beach and there, laying on it's side was an old boat, all smashed up. Holly said it may have been the boat OTL practised on for his rowing!

Will OTL paddle that?
We were discussing the problems with OTL's boat when a youngster came woofing down the beach!

Holly said she was making too much noise, which I thought that was a bit too much as Holly is is the noisiest woofer I know!

I'm a serious Woofers!
This little woofer is a cross between a Poodle and a Bichon Frisé, which sort of makes us distant cousins!

Mind you, she was the same colour but her legs were much longer than ours!

Look! I'm a big brave Woofer!
We said good bye to her and headed back home 'cos OTL still had loads of stuff to do before we are ready to go.

So, we are all busy busy now and tomorrow we are going to take Snowflake and Mr Brambles to their Hotel and then it's back to finish the packing!

So, early to bed tonight as we are going to be up early as we have to take The Missus to the train station 'cos she is off to Ally Pally, it's a sort of Big Glitter & Glue Convention!

TM says she is going to spend all the house keeping money on some new stamps and peel offs!

She had better not tell OTL or he will fall of his boat!

Bye bye for now!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles

Snowflake gets a lesson in 'Might is Right'!

Hello Woofers!

It's us, back with you again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Today has not been very exciting for us 'cos Old Two Legs had to go out mid morning and he didn't get back until five thirty this evening, poor lad has been working!

We did have a laugh this morning at Snowflakes expense, which makes a change!

OTL got up at his normal time, just after six and started on his rowing machine, Snowflake got up and said her 'Good Mornings' then went back to bed to finish off her sleep.

OTL was thrashing about as usual when Mr Brambles fell out of bed and woke himself up! So, as he was awake, he also said good morning to OTL who by now was getting into his paddling rhythm, you know, plonk......plonk.....plonk....plonk.....plonk, thrashing away at twenty seven strokes a minute.

After watching for a few minutes, even he got bored and went back to bed.

This morning, OTL had turned the machine around and was looking at the TV the correct way around, so, totally unaware of the stroke count he found himself getting a sweat on and up to six hundred strokes in no time!

Clever old stick!

So that was it, early into the shower and get dressed while Holly and me were still snoozing on his bed!

OTL, after getting dressed, heads off to the office to let the ferrets out for a run around while he replenishes the food bowl and gets fresh water for them.

This morning Snowflake had the 'Pickle' in her and was running around and jumping over the cardboard tubes and Mr Brambles and OTL's feet!

OTL, thinking there could be some fun coming, got the camcorder out and, well, have a look for yourself.

Well, who spotted Mr Brambles having a Poo behind the Poo Tray? Sometimes OTL catches him and lifts him into the Poo Tray before he can get going but today all OTL could do was pick up the poo and give the carpet a spray with 'Pets Safe disinfectant!

Well, Miss Snowflake was rescued by OTL and was unhurt really 'cos you could see her go for Mr Brambles right at the end!

Mr Brambles is a super, kind and a sweetheart but sometimes Miss Snowflake has to be reminded that he is bigger and heavier than her!

OTL is back home now, so we are off to see what he has for dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake (Sore Ear) and Mr Brambles (Sore Butt!)

OTL's Paddling to Greater Heights!

Hi Woofers!

We're here again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We had a laugh this morning, at Old Two Legs expense!

First of all, he was up just after six so he can get his paddle around the office on the rowing machine. The ferrets got up to say 'Good Morning' but returned to bed quickly as they get a bit fed up watching OTL paddling around. Snowflake says it's just like watching a slow game of tennis, you know, plonk.....plonk.....plonk.....plonk!

After a while you get an ache in your neck or get to feel sea sick!

OTL on the other hand seems to be making headway, in stead of worrying about falling off the machine, he now has time to day dream as he ploughs his way through the waves and whirlpools of the office!

This morning he turned the TV on to watch the news while he was sloshing about. The problem is, he has to watch it in the reflection of the glass front of the wine cooler, so everything in in reverse, which confuses the hell out of the Old Boy!

This morning he is watching the weather forecast and trying to get his brain around a reverse picture of the map of Europe when he suddenly realised that the stroke count on the rowing machine had reached five hundred and fifty!

Well, that was it, he decided that as he was at that count, he would carry on to Six Hundred, which he did!

Will he keep it up?

That's the question!

It was a little overcast this morning but that didn't stop Mr Brambles from having his morning 'dig' on the path.

OTL says  it's more like 'Skid Marks' than a proper hole!

That's not a Skid Mark!
Down on the beach OTL found a lump of wood and threw it down the beach for us to chase, I ran after it and it was only when I got to it that I noticed the tide was right out, so no swim for me!

Holly, on the other hand, thought it looked remarkably like a stick she had buried a few days back and woofed at me to bring it back to her!

Yeah, on yer Bike Sis, this is mine!

....and that's when the fight started!
Snowflake and Mr Brambles didn't take any notice of us two scrapping in the sand. They were too busy digging holes in the sand and sea shells!

My Hole's Better Than Yours!
OTL called us to head back to the car and the ferrets shot off 'cos they wanted to get to a sniff they spotted on the way down to the beach and wanted to investigate it in more detail!

Wotcha Sniffin' Mr Brambles, is it a Stoat or maybe a Weasel?
In the end they decided it was Poodle Wee and carried on chasing each other all the way back to the car!

Breakfast was much better today, Chicken and Biscuits followed by a nibble of carrot. We reckon that Annie's offer of a 'Good Home' with Jasper shocked The Missus into action on the food front. We reckon that the thought of us leaving home was too much, I mean, if we left she would have to go back to soap and water instead of us giving her a 'Morning Lick'!

We headed off up to the office where I knew OTL had hidden my chew for me, so while Holly was making the most of the carrot, I sneaked off under the desk and spent some time 'Chewing the Chew'!

Holly was not happy but I didn't care, OTL was there to stop her pinching it!

Unfortunately, OTL had to go out to work this afternoon, so we spent our time snoozing on the sofa, just like little dogs should do!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles

Ooops! Late Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles here at last!

What a day of running around we have had today or as Old Two Legs would say, 'A Day of Ducking and Diving!'

Not that I have tried diving 'cos I've only just learnt to swim!

OTL has been playing with his big camera again and said that he wanted to convey a sense of speed.

????!

Wot?

So, he got me to run past him at my top speed and he was clicking away, as normal. However, when I looked at the picture I sort of see what he means!

Speedy Meeee!
The Missus really hates us!

After coming back from the morning promenade on the Sea Wall we got presented with our breakfast......Doggy Scoff!

Holly and I were not amused and Holly says we aught to pack our bags and leave home. The only problem is, who would have us?

You could see we were not Happy Puppies 'cos when TM switched the TV on we stuck our bottom lip out and sulked!

Bet you wouldn't want to eat Doggy Scoff!

Lunch time, that's a joke, all there was for lunch was Scoff! Anyway, off we went to the Sea Wall and as the tide was in I decided to have a swim. The big problem was, I couldn't find a stick for OTL to throw!

He had a brilliant idea, he threw a stone into the sea and I chased in after it, discovering a little too late, stones don't float!

Swimming after stones!
That was it, Doggy Scoff and Sinking Stones!

I decided that the best thing I could do was to go home and have an early night!

Unless we find a good home for us where we get Chicken and Lamb and Beef and Venison and Nibbles and Milk and, and, and, well you know what we mean!

See you tomorrow, we are off now to see Long John Silver (Michael) 'cos he is out of hospital now.

I bet he don't get DS for his dinner!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles

A Wet Day!

Hi Ho Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

What a day it's been today! First of all we set out with Old Two Legs for our morning walk, accompanied by the ferrets and had a super run along the Sea Wall. Mr Brambles joined in the fun and kept chasing Holly and me trying to give our legs a nip.

Now that was OK, right up until he decided to chase OTL and instead of  giving him a nip, Mr Brambles ran into the side of OTL's boot!

That'll teach him!

We got some Lambs Heart this morning so we were well pleased with that, it seems that Archie's Mum has done her stuff and made The Missus pay more attention to our dietary needs!

I spent the morning in the office with OTL, snoozing and chewing on my chew!

Just Snoozing, Just Snoozing!
OTL was panicking about some stuff he was waiting to be delivered, the stuff left the factory yesterday but had not arrived at the proper time, so there he was, on the phone trying to find out where it all was!

Normally that's no problem but today we needed to go out a bit earlier than normal at lunch time 'cos there were storms promised for us early afternoon. OTL couldn't leave the house until the delivery arrived so TM said she would take us over The Farm. Now, as far as we were concerned that would be OK 'cos we hadn't been out there for a while and the sniffs would all be new!

Well, that was the idea anyway but what happened?

I Rained!

We got half way around the field and it started to come down in big drips, you know, the ones that land splat on your nose and you think, 'Who Threw That?'

It didn't take long before we decided to forgo the pleasure of the sniffs and headed back to home as fast as our legs could go while trying to pull TM along with us!

Wet, Damp and Soaking!
It was a good job that OTL was watching out of the window so he could get our towels out to dry us off as soon as we got in!

Well, that's it really, not much more to add, we all snuggled down for a snooze to await dinner and OTL is still trying to find out where his delivery is!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, (Damp) Holly, (Also Damp) Miss Snowflake (Dry and Snoozing) Mr Brambles (Eating!)
