We are still on the Runway!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Another mild day today, seems that Winter has yet to find our corner of the world. Old Two Legs was watching the television this morning and saw that the airport proposed down here has not been included in the 'Short List' but will be looked at next year!

Just how daft can some Two Legs be?

If they build an airport here it will have to be a new town they will need to build, not just an airport!

What would happen to my Rock Climb? They should think of these things before making any decisions about our home!

They wouldn't take away our Rock Climbing Wall would they?
Just think what would happen to the beach, where would Mr Brambles dig his morning 'Hole'?

I just Love Holes!
Down on the beach Snowflake was trying hard to wake up, she had travelled all the way down in OTL's jacket pocket. She is getting used to this mode of transport, it's the 'Getting Out' at the other end she doesn't like!

The Sheppy Bridge looked like it was on fire but when we looked at the picture OTL took we could see it was just steam coming out of the factory chimneys!

It looks like it's all on fire!
Mr Brambles snuggled up to Snowflake to give her some encouragement to 'Get a Move On' 'cos he was ready for the run back, you know, he ran all the way down to the beach from the car park! He says that if OTL is getting exercise then so should he!

Two Fit men in the house? Whatever next!

Come on, get yer tail in gear girl!
I must admit, I was impressed with Mr Brambles plan to get all super fit, you know before long he will be asking OTL if he can borrow the rowing machine!

Come on Miss Snowflake, we're heading back now!
Lunch time was a dual trip out, first of all we headed back to the Sea Wall and sniffed our way along the path, we had to fight our way past all the cameras and interviewers and people waiting to be interviewed!

It gets a bit boring after a while, and those television people spoil all the good sniffs!

They've trampled on all the sniffs!
No matter where we went there were traces of sniff that had been spoilt, still, it won't be long before they all clear off and leave it to us again!

They've even been down here!
After our walk we headed down into town to do some deliveries which was fun 'cos we could woof at all the other woofers and Two Legs walking along the streets!

Back home for a snooze before dinner time!

The garage came and took OTL's car away for servicing and left their motor here. They also left the car keys! Holly says that means we can use the car to go out for walks or do shopping or just a run around the town but OTL said that he didn't have time to go 'Joy Riding', mind you he said it would have been a good idea!

Dinner is soon, so we're off to do some mugging and then give OTL a cuddle while we nibble on our carrots!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles

Running with Ferrets!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, today has been a good day. It started off this morning when Old Two Legs got up late but still managed his thirty minutes on the paddle machine! He was interrupted twice with Holly Dog rushing into the office and jumping up onto his lap to give him a 'Good Morning Lick' and she was laughing all over her face when she was doing it!

Miss Snowflake was up and ferreting around her half of the cage and enjoying a spot of breakfast.

We have got showers forecast for today but when it was time to go out OTL decided that it would be a good idea to take both ferrets at the same time 'cos come lunch time it may be all floods and storms on the Sea Wall!

Off we went with both ferrets in the travelling cage!

Of course, Miss Snowflake stayed wrapped up in OTL's pocket, as normal, but Mr Brambles was enjoying a run on the path even though he kept wanting to go the wrong way!

Down on the beach he was well away digging his 'Traditional Hole', like, long and deep instead of round and deep!

'Well, There I was, Digging this Hole, Hole in the sand, so big and never round'!
Miss Snowflake on the other hand was doing her 'I wanna go back to bed' trick, but OTL said she had to get some exercise or she would end up all fat and fur!

Snowflake said that 'All Fat And Fur' is normal for a Winter Ferret! Nobody believed her though!

Fat and Fur is OK for a Winter Ferret!
We were having fun sniffin' the sea weed that turns up each Christmas on the beach. We've seen Two Legs gathering the stuff up to sell down in Rochester Market!

Wadda You Reckon? Five Bob a Bunch?
By now Miss Snowflake had got going and Mr Brambles was having fun climbing up the rocks.

Next stop the Scottish Mountains, just like OTL used to do!
It was then, when we were all discussing Mountain Climbing, that Holly suggested we have a running race back to the car, so it was One Woof, Two Woof, Three Woof and GO!

We let the ferrets get going first of all 'cos Mr B is likely to give our legs a nip as we pass on the narrow path, that's 'cos he is sneaky like that!

Now we're off ahead of those dogs!
It was good fun, we even got OTL to do some running to keep up! He said it was just too much all this Running with Ferrets and on top of that he was Running with Woofers as well!

I won't tell you who won, but let's say, we were first into the car!

Our lunchtime walk was a bit late 'cos we didn't get our breakfast until late in the morning and by the time we had our 'After Breakfast Snooze' it was a quarter to three!

You can tell that Winter is almost here, it gets dark very early, about three thirty or thereabouts, we know it's dark 'cos OTL's little 'Point and Shoot Camera' has a mind of its own and keeps popping off the flash when OTL isn't looking!

Flashy!
Looking along the Sea Wall, there is nothing of any real interest and all the colours have gone as well!

No colours this time of the day!
Even a quick snap of Holly from the back brings out the Auto Flash! Poor OTL can't find the command to turn off the flash, seems the camera is too smart for him!

Oops! Another quick flash!
Tomorrow the big car goes in for its service, so it is back to the little car for our trip down to the beach. I hope it is a bit warmer 'cos it takes too long to warm up that little car and there are no heated seats either and no cushions and on top of that the windows are too small and we can't see the Bozo Woofers and cats to woof at as we go past!

Holly reckons OTL has got Venison Steak tonight with Mushroom Risotto instead of egg and chips, not sure if OTL will like that, it's too healthy sounding and we do like our venison dipped into a bit of eggy!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Mr Brambles gets out first!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you again!

It's been a Lazy Day today, The Missus filled out food bowl with Doggy Scoff, so no cuddles for her today!

This morning Old Two Legs was late in getting up 'cos he turned the alarm off too early and instead of listening to the news all we heard was him snoring again! Mind you, he did complete his half an hour on the rowing machine and managed to get up to one thousand, two hundred and sixty strokes!

The drag level is up to number six and there is only eight levels of drag!

Mind you, the grunting and heavy breathing is something else!

Snowflake decided to go back to bed but Mr Brambles was up for an early morning run along the Sea Wall and rushed into the travel cage before he had even got his harness on!

Down on the Sea Wall there was a competition to see how many worms each fisherman could teach to swim!

We were on the beach having fun digging holes and rolling in some sniffs while Mr B was digging holes up the other end of the beach!

I just LOVE a Roll!
You know, there was one Fisherman who set up his rods just above the rocks that the ferrets love to climb. Lucky for him it didn't interfere with the ferret or he might have had a very upset ferret to answer to!

He could be in trouble!
Being so late, there were loads of dogs out for their walk, one of the Bozo's by the name of Andy was so interested in Mr B that when he got home and let off the lead he turned around and ran all the way back to the beach for another sniff!

Needless to say, he was in deep trouble and got marched all the way back again!

Back home we spent the morning snoozing until lunch time when we were off again but this time with Miss Snowflake in the travelling cage. On the way down there were rain drops on the car screen, so Holly and I were not too keen about a run in the rain!

When we got there the Fishermen had packed up and were heading off, so that means a good clear run along the Sea Wall without tripping over their stuff!

Snowflake of course was dug deep in OTL's pocket and even attempted to fall asleep!

Wake me later!
Down on the beach Holly and I had a sniff around but Snowflake didn't really get interested until she had got to the Rocks!

Easy! Easy! Easy!
Holly was interested in the sniffs around the top of the stairs and declared that it was the trace of Mr Brambles who passed this way this morning!

I know this sniff!
Once she had got to the top of the stairs Miss Snowflake got into top gear and soon was speeding along and heading for the car and a warm cage!

Out of my way! Ferret on her way through!
Holly and I thought it fun that once she got going there was nothing that would stop our speedy little Miss Snowflake!

Back home Mr B was still fast asleep and within a couple of minutes Snowflake had found the food bowl, had a bite to eat, then a drink, a quick cuddle with OTL and then she was asleep!

She does move fast when she wants to!

As it was raining, that means the garden will have to wait and cleaning the car was ruled out as well!

It was TM who suggested we watch a DVD and have a snooze, which was OK by OTL and I must admit, Holly and I thought it a good idea as well!

So, muggins later and an early night 'cos OTL has to go out tomorrow morning, work again!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles

TM Must Be Dying, She's Missed The Crop!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

What a super day today, no rain, no cold wind, blue sky's and it's the weekend!

We were up early 'cos The Missus was going to her Crop in the village hall today but after half an hour downstairs she announced that she was 'Too ill to go, and on top of that she didn't want to give the lurgy to anyone else before Christmas'!

Now, for TM to miss out on a day long binge of card making and eating and gassing and drinking and making merry, sloshing the glue pot and dusting everything with glitter, she has got to be bad!

So, off we went, up to the hall and got all the tables and chairs out ready for the gang to turn up, then we took TM back so she can spend the rest of the day on the sofa using up all those 'Man Size' tissues Old Two Legs got her yesterday!

We were then off to the Sea Wall. It was right on High Tide when we got onto the beach, we know that 'cos there is always some big waves that crash onto shore just at full tide!

It's a good job she didn't take too long waking up 'cos the High Tide wave was rather big!

OK, who nicked my bed?
This was one wave that tried to get right up the beach where Snowflake was having a run but she managed to get out of the way, just in time!

Ya Missed Me!
We had some fun running up and down the beach and Snowflake even enjoyed a bit of hole digging. I of course had to give it my opinion and declared it to be 'Satisfactory'!

Not bad but needs more attention to the sides!
Snowflake also enjoyed a bit of Rock Climbing especially as the tide was breaking on the lower rocks, so that made it a bit more dangerous than normal 'cos just imagine what would happen if she fell off!

Should I have got roped up for this?
Back home she was telling Mr Brambles all about it and he said he will go out with OTL at lunch time and see what is left of the hole!

So lunchtime we were out again but we found that the hole had been washed away! Mr Brambles said that he would dig one of his own but actually, it looked more like a trench!

It's called a Long Hole!
We did notice that his tail was getting seriously fluffy, he may even beat Snowflake for fluffiness!

Just the 'War Wound' to be covered!
Mr B was having loads of fun on the way back tot he car, he was playing 'Hunt The Dog'!

What would happen was Holly and I were a bit ahead of him and OTL, having a sniff, as you do. Mr Brambles would be in the grass behind us racing like the clappers to get to us so he could give our back legs a nip!

Saucy Ferret!

Still, it was giving him loads of fun trying to get us! He was really glad to get out in the fresh air and was running down the path jumping all over the place! It was so funny watching him do his 'War Dance' at the same time running after us!

Snowflake makes a noise when she is happy or playing a game, OTL calls it 'Chuckling' but other ferret owners call it 'Dooking'. Now Mr Brambles has yet to do any serious Dooking or Chuckling, in fact he is a very quiet ferret, except when he is sleeping!

When he is dreaming he 'Squeaks', just one squeak at a time, but it is so funny. I've often wondered what he is dreaming about when he does that.

OTL says that both Holly and I bark and growl in our sleep!

The funniest sound though, is OTL and TM snoring when they are asleep, especially when they are doing it together, in hamony!

OK, now we are off to the village hall to put the tables and chairs away and lock up and if there is anyone there, wish them a Merry Christmas and see if there are any sandwiches left over!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles

OTL's been Busy!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Yes, today has been a busy day for Old Two Legs. It started off this morning when we looked out of the window, rain, lots of it, OTL said that it may not be a good idea to let Snowflake come with us for our morning walk. You see, she has a 'Poo Pot' where she can go and other than a good sniff and some fresh air and a run, there is no real need for her to go out and the same for Mr Brambles. So it was just us dogs who had to brave the storm!

Holly is not into rain, especially the wet stuff, you know, the stuff that falls down and bounces on your nose, just when your not expecting it, even if it is raining!

When we get times like that Holly does her 'Nose Down Tail Up' and refuses to move!

It's cold and wet and I don't want to go!
It gets so bad that OTL has to put her lead back on to make sure she doesn't run back to the car!

So, Holly got to walk behind OTL, grumbling about getting wet in the rain and not wanting to be out and there must be a law against this and she is going to tell The Missus when she gets back.......etc!

That all lasted until we got to the beach where OTL let us off the lead 'cos as he says, 'There's only back you can go so make the most of it!'

So we did, a sniff or two a wee and another sniff, just for the hell of it!

I remember this from yesterday!
Holly soon forgot about moaning about the rain and we carried on sniffin' the sniffs!

Here! Can this be called a Wet Sniff?

We carried on like that until we got back to the car. Our rain coats kept most of the rain off except on our face and legs and chest but a good rub down with one of our towels soon got the worse off, then it was 'Back Home' to a Lambs Heart Breakfast!

Now we were supposed to go down to see Auntie Zoe today but TM is still sniffin' and coughing and complaining! So the trip was called off. Well for us but not OTL!

He was soon packed off with presents and stuff that needed to be taken down there. Now, near to Christmas and especially on a Friday loads of Two Legs go out shopping and driving around in their cars. OTL says 'It was Hell on the Motorway!'

Trouble with OTL, he hasn't done much driving since he retired, well, not in the rush hours or near to Christmas!

So, from just after our morning stroll up to late this afternoon we have had to put up with trips to the garden and spending all day snoozing, it's a hard life!

OTL got back about five and straight away took us down to the Sea Wall again, even though it was dark, but we still enjoyed a bit of fresh air and the sniffs!

The ferrets weren't too happy about being stuck in the cage all day but claws crossed, they should be able to get out tomorrow!

We're off to see whats for mugging tonight, so bye bye for now, see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles

TM's Got The Sniffles and Mr B Escapes!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

The last few days have been frosty and very misty and today is no exception! Old Two Legs came out of the house with us on our lead and Snowflake in her travel cage and because we were pulling a bit, he skated the whole length of the path!

It was a good job the car was there or he could have ended up half way down the road!

We were OK 'cos we got 'Four Paw Drive' plus special 'Snow & Ice Grips' (Claws to You!)

Down on the Sea Wall the mist was not so thick as on the road going there, and the sun lit up the trees and the mist.

I see no Rabbits!
Miss Sneaky Snowflake had done her sneaky trick of getting into OTL's pocket again but this morning she had left her tail hanging out!

My Tail feels Cold!
Down on the beach we tried to get the that super sniff and have another roll but OTL spotted what we were doing and came charging down the beach growling at us! So that was 'Good Bye' to that sniff!

We couldn't see Sheerness across the water but we could hear it, there was one ship that kept on sounding the fog horn but the shore based fog horn was silent, for a change!

A sort of Dickensian Scene, now, where's Magwitch!
Snowflake wasn't too impressed with the scene, all she could do was complain about the cold wet sea shells and how it all was just too cold on her tummy!

I Don't Do Cold & Damp and this beach is Cold & Damp!
Back home we greeted TM back from the Parlour and went Ooooo! and Aaaah! and Sooooper!

What did we get in return? ....................... DOGGY SCOFF!

It is bad enough having to cancel a trip to see Alun & Glynis that was planned today. We can't go 'cos TM has a rotten cold and is sniffling and sneezing all over the place. So, not wishing to give it to anyone, the visit is called off until next year!

We are all staying away from her 'cos we don't want to catch anything nasty before Christmas and the ferrets are running away to hide every time she comes into the office 'cos they can catch a cold from the Two Legs!

Mostly we are staying away from her 'cos she has served up DOGGY SCOFF, YUK! YUK! YUK!

No cuddles for her today!

Mr Brambles is full of life today and has been chasing around the office, in and out of the drawers in the office, throwing everything out onto the floor! Then he's getting lost behind all of OTL's photography stuff, tripods and lighting stuff!

OTL has got a big cardboard box that once he has emptied of stuff, he will make into an 'Adventure Playground' with inside tunnels and secret rooms to hide in and places full of scrunched up paper where the ferrets can bury themselves! Just in case though, the roof will be able to be opened, in case the ferrets get stuck or lost!

As if!

Come our lunch time walk, Mr Brambles was bashing on his door and saying that he is going crazy stuck in the cage all day. So, OTL relented and said that if he was a good boy then he could come out with us for a walk.

Having been told how to by Snowflake, he was soon trying out the 'Pocket Trick'!

I suppose it will be OK if it rains!
Down on the beach he had a great time running over the sea shells and sniffing all the sniffs he has missed for the last week and a bit!

....and this one...and this one....and this one!
Then he joined us in a 'Dig', Holly and I found a soft spot and were going like the clappers, so Mr Brambles decided to have his own hole and proceeded to shovel sand for all he was worth!

I've really missed hole digging!
We were steaming and even OTL had to admit it was a 'Serious Hole'!

This is a Two Doggy Hole!
On the way back to the car Mr Brambles was almost beside himself with pleasure, running and jumping all over the place, even his tail was up in 'Super Fluffy' mode!

You don't get fluffier than and Excited Ferret!
He said he couldn't remember the time when he had been so happy having a run! You know, he even chased us along the path laughing all the way!

Back home we all crashed out for a 'Before Dinner Snooze', not sure what is on the menu but what ever it is, it's just got to be better than Doggy Scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles (Free at Last!)

Sunshine and Mists & Daisy Cam.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Mr B is getting a bit 'Showy Off' 'cos he is still not allowed out for a run, nor is he allowed into Snowflakes half of Snowy Heights! He says it's not the same having to sleep on his own, rolled up in his blanket bed with nothing to cuddle except his tail!

Still, only six more days, as advised by the vet, then the trap door will be opened and it will be 'Back To Normal' again and he can even get a run down the beach again!

Talking of beaches, Old Two Legs clipped the 'Daisy Cam' onto my coat this morning and switched on the camera. Well, you decide if it worked!

No, neither could we! Back to the drawing board OTL!

To make up for it, OTL tried some shots with the 'Point & Shoot' camera and at least you can see it was very misty!

Where has everyone gone?

Of course, Miss Sneaky Snowflake wormed her way into OTL's pocket again and decided to go back to sleep. Well, she said that the sun was in her eyes but we knew better!

Isn't the Sun bright this morning?
We ran around having loads of fun and I was trying to get all the good shots with the Daisy Cam!

Snowflake had a quick wee on the beach and decided to head back to the car, you know she can get a good lick on when she puts her mind to it!

Outta Me Way Bozo's, Ferret Coming Through!
Mind you, she did stop a few times to have a sniff at grass, just in case there was some weasel hiding in the long grass!

Mmmmm, Interesting, but not Weasel!
We spotted our mate Archie who is still confined to the lead 'cos he likes running away! We said 'Hello' but we think his owner wanted to get home for breakfast!

Yo! Archie, watch out for the sniffs down on the bend, a bit whiffy!
We didn't have time to tell him about the Daisy Cam and in hind sight I suppose that is the best thing to do,........keep it quiet until OTL gets it sorted!

Daisy Cam on the right side of my coat!
Back home to chicken and a snooze.

About mid morning OTL got a panic phone call from the Dustbin Men and had to go out and make their radio system better 'cos it had stopped working and was in need of some TLC!

So, that was it, we kept ourselves busy by trying to pinch each others chew and sitting at the window waiting for OTL to return!

Tomorrow should be fun, we have all gt to stand by the front door and go Ooooo! and Aaaah! and Sooooooper! and Wow!

OTL is off to have her hair done. It's a good job she doesn't have to have wot we have! A bath and a blow dry while being strapped up in that harness so we can't move!

Most undignified!

Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

The Last Jab!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We woke up this morning to find there is frost on all the garage roofs and a foggy mist that stopped us seeing across the fields!

Old Two Legs said it was going to be fun trying to photograph the landscape through all that mist!

Still, when we got down to the Sea Wall it wasn't so bad as it was at home and he got this one, which isn't too bad!

The beginning of our walk!
I prefer this shot even though it doesn't show the drama of the sun!

A Better Beginning to our Walk!
Down on the beach, Snowflake was making a big fuss about it being cold and damp and while she and OTL were 'Having a Discussion' about whether she should be picked up or not, Holly and I found a SNIFF!

Quick, another roll while he's not looking!
Snowflake was doing one of her 'Show Off's' but OTL said what was the good of coming out for a 'Run' if she spent all her time in his jacket pocket?

Pleeese Daddy, Pick Me Up!
Holly by this time was sitting on the beach giving the Curlew the eyeball and wondering if it tasted like chicken!
Mmmmm, Chicken or Scampi?
Snowflake showed off and decided that OTL wasn't going to carry her back to the car, so she set off at a pace that was just too fast for us doggy's to get a good sniff of the sniffs!

Come on! Get a Move On!
At the top of the hill, OTL tried another picture of the sun and the mist, well, it's OK but not as good as his big camera!
Sheerness is over there!
Mr Brambles was off for his jab at ten thirty and this time it was a young Miss Vet type person, very nice and even gave OTL a 10% discount 'cos he turned up on a day when Old Age Pensioners get a discount!

OTL liked that!

Mr Brambles had his snout in a large bottle cap full of Ferretone and didn't even flinch when she stabbed him!

There's a Brave Ferret!

Then Mr B went off with OTL and The Missus 'cos TM wanted to do some shopping. Mr B and OTL stayed in the car and Mr B was running along the top of the dash board pulling faces at the Two Legs going past, none of whom even noticed him!

Let's face it, just how often do you see a ferret running across the top of a dashboard!

Back home to an afternoons snooze and get ready for a walk with OTL later!

We went for our walk along the Sea Wall, a little later than normal, as usual and we 'Sniffed the Sniffs' but there was nothing too exciting. In fact it was more fun watching OTL trying to take a picture of the sun!

Bye Bye Mr Sun
When he got fed up with that, he then tried photographing the moon!

Hello Mr Moon!
Maybe he should go back and study the 'Instruction Manual'!

Holly soon got bored with all this 'Celestial Photography' and carried on Sniffin' the Sniffs'!

Not Much to Sniff!
OTL has got Gammon tonight, so that means a good chance of some muggins!

So, that's it for our day today, we are going to try out the Daisy Cam tomorrow, should be good for a laugh!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
