Who's a Pretty Puppy?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

What a run around day we had. First thing this morning we rolled over and went back to sleep again!

Well, after such a busy day we deserved an extra half an hour in bed!

Old Two Legs got up at the normal time and spent half an hour thrashing around the office on the Mary Celeste!

Not a pretty sight!

We left the ferrets in bed and went off for a walk, OTL said it would be too wet for the ferrets but it was OK for us 'cos we were going straight down the parlour after our walk!

We started our walk and very soon it was obvious that we were about to get soaked!

Dark clouds and spots of rain, yep, it's going to be a wet one!

Here come the rain!

Just before it started to pour down we were treated to a vertical rainbow that turned into a 'Y' shaped rainbow!

There's the Rainbow and here comes the rain!

 We got back to the car and we were all soaked, including OTL!

Am I too wet for the parlour?

 Later when OTL picked us up, we were straight down to the Sea Wall again but this time OTL kept us off the muddy bits and we both managed to get home without tons of mud on our paws!

 OTL insisted on taking our photo, so we kept turning our heads away every time he pressed the shutter release!

Back home we were presented with a bowl of chicken, so not a too bad a day after all!

I've been watching the ferrets having a game in OTL's office and I managed to get up on the work top while they were running around on the floor. I felt quite safe, until Snowflake started to climb up the side of the cage!

OTL's Birthday

Hi Woofers!

Sorry we missed yesterdays blog but we were out all day celebrating OTL's birthday!

Snowflake and Mr Brambles decided to stay at home and act as guards while Holly and I acted as 'Close Protection Guards' and made sure OTL didn't get into trouble!

We went down to see Alun & Glynis and spent a very enjoyable day listening to them telling old war stories!

we were left on our own while they went out for a meal but when they came back, The Missus had a 'Doggy Bag' with her which had some sirloin steak and some fillet steak inside!

Wow! We were 'Nose Down, Tail Up' until that lot had gone!

OTL says that the restaurant must have put some extra in the bag 'cos there wasn't that amount left on their plates!

We didn't get home until late and as soon as we got in we all fell into bed and were asleep in no time!

We are off to the 'Parlour' this morning so we'll be back later today with more tales!

Wot A Grey Day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Wot a dull old day it has been today. Old Two Legs got up late 'cos he forgot to set the alarm and missed out on his 'Paddle' around the office, so, he has promised to do a bit of exercise this afternoon, before dinner time!

We all went out for a walk this morning and there was no sun peeking through the clouds, it was just clouds!

OTL decided to leave the camera in his pocket and concentrate on trying to keep us all in order!

Mr Brambles did his Hole Digging and Miss Snowflake did her 'I Wanna Go Back To Bed' bit while Holly and I ran off down the Sea Wall looking for rabbits, which weren't there!

Back home to some Chicken for breakfast and the ferrets went off to make a mess of the office!

Lunch time OTL took the big camera and switched it to Monochrome, just to see what sort of pictures he could get on such a grey day.

Both ferrets declined to get up and said that they would stay in bed while we went for a walk!

Thanks for the offer but I'm just too tired!

 Mr Brambles was sleepy as well and didn't even open his eyes!

Off you go and have fun, I'm too comfortable to join you today!

Off we went and in no time we were down on the beach watching OTL try some 'High Speed Photos!

What he did was to throw a stone out into the water and then take a load of pictures as it hit the water!

Splosh!

 Now, silly OTL forgot I was standing just behind him and as soon as he threw the stone, I went to chase it!

I got wet right up to my tummy before he stopped me going any further into the cold water!

It was his fault for throwing it!

Well, what do you expect a doggy to do, sit down and watch the splash?

OTL stopped throwing stones and instead crept along the beach trying to take pictures of Holly and me.

Holly of course just stood there and 'Posed' for him, The Tart!

My Best Side?

I was up on the Sea Wall and OTL tried creeping along the beach and poking his head up and taking sneaky photos, that was until he got caught out by camera shy Robert!

Hey! Wot?

In the end I stood still and did my 'Wire Haired Terrier' pose that my mum had taught me when I was a little puppy!

In a couple of days I will be off with Holly down to the Poodle Parlour for a Shampoo & Set and get my nails trimmed as well. I reckon we'll look dead smart then!

Now we have been planning what we will do to OTL in the morning, you see it's his birthday tomorrow and Holly reckons we should start off by jumping up and down on the bed singing our 'Happy Birthday Song'! Next we are going to let the ferrets loose so they can do the same!

Now that should be a good joke that he will remember, all we have got to decide is, what time we shall do it. About three thirty should be a good time!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Hi Woofers!

It's Us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Super Day today, it has been sun shine from the start. Old Two Legs was up early'ish this morning and managed to get his paddling done before the sun came up! That was very good 'cos it means we can get down to the Sea Wall before all the Mini Two Legs get into school.

The reason we like that is because there are loads of cars all parked outside the schools in the most awkward places and it is a real pain trying to get past them all, plus it upsets OTL that with a little forethought, they could all go  fifty yards down the road and park in a proper car park and then walk to the school!

OTL says that little Two Legs don't get enough exercise walking to school. When he was a little Two Legs he had to walk three miles to school, along major roads! Holly wanted to know if he was ever in danger of being run down by the stagecoach or held up by Highway Men, but decided to let it pass 'cos she wanted to get out and have a wee and didn't want to listen to a long lecture by OTL!

We think it great fun when he starts mumbling dark curses at all the badly parked cars and the pram pushing Two Legs standing in the middle of the road gassing away!

Poor OTL, all that steam coming out of his ears can't be doing him much good! Holly reckons we should call him Old Grumble Guts, or OGG instead of OTL!

 Down on the beach the sun had just got over Sheerness and was reflected off the wet mud, very pretty!

And ten seconds later, it was gone!

 Holly and I had a good time digging holes and OTL had to use the Flash on the camera, which made my eyes look weird, mind you, that's what happens when you are hungry!

Back home we got 'Doggy Scoff'! You know, after the chicken yesterday we thought we had finished with this diet thingy but no, we are still suffering!

There must be somewhere we can got for a a Judicial Enquiry on what food we should get. I mean, we don't even get any muggins or nibbles! Even OTL has given up Shortbread until he looses five kilos!

To make up for the hunger pangs, OTL is concentrating on this Infrared Camera Thingy Whatsit and I will admit, it's getting better, not brilliant but better!

Mind you, it does help to have a sunny day 'cos there's more definition to the photo!

We think it looks better converted over to Black & White!

Of course, Holly Dog was getting all ' Fashion Model' like and spent some time posing for OTL. This is her 'Posh Pose' you know, nose in the air!

Then OTL wanted us both in the same shot but I was getting fed up with Holly talking about how I should turn around and show my 'Best Side'!

I mean, at least my body has sides, unlike her who is more rotund where she should be flat!

Chin up Girl! You don't want to look like your frowning!

I think the best shot was when we were walking along the top of the Sea Wall, you can tell it is Holly in front, I mean, just compare the silhouette!

The camera doesn't lie, much!

 After lunch we all settled down to a snooze, except Miss Snowflake who was rattling the cage doors to be let out for a rampage around the office. OTL got the 'Cat Tease' out and the pair of them had great fun chasing each other in and out of the cardboard boxes and in and out of the cardboard tubes!

It took about an hour before she crawled back into Snowy Heights and fell asleep cuddled up in Mr Brambles front paws!

We are expecting the new Ferret Bag to arrive tomorrow, now, that will be fun trying that out!

Sun Shine and we stay out of the Poo!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

What a super day it has been!

We were out good and early and the sun was still all Golden Glow and that certainly sets off Mr Brambles coat!

I'm afraid it doesn't do much for Snowflake but she does get a funny 'Back Lit' glow around her fur!

Mind you it doesn't do much for her temper, she still is grumpy about getting up too early!

I Just Don't Do Mornings!

Mr Brambles was in a very good mood, he had slurped down a good bowl full of Lactose Free Milk and was in fine form. His little legs were going like the clappers digging holes everywhere!

OTL told him to 'Stand Still' so he could take a picture of him and his Golden Coat, but that was a waste of time 'cos as soon as he stood still, he was off again digging another hole!

OK? Done? Another hole please!

Walking back Old Two Legs was keeping a close eye on Holly and me, he said he didn't want another case of 'Smelly Nelly's' in the car!

Snowflake and Mr B said that they wouldn't dream of rolling in a sniff 'cos that was disgusting!

I wouldn't roll in it either!

Back home and OTL was busy with paperwork and computer stuff so we crashed out after a good bowl of chicken. It sure makes a change from Doggy Scoff!

Holly was a bit of a bully and tried to eat my breakfast, so I went up stairs to tell OTL what she was doing!

Down he came and shoved Holly out of the kitchen so I could enjoy my breakfast on my own!

Holly was not a 'Happy Puppy' 'cos she gets all 'Bossy' when she is on a diet and always tries to pinch my food!

OTL and The Missus keep an eye on what she is doing and nowadays she doesn't get away with it!

Mind you, it doesn't stop her trying!

Lunch time we were out again and OTL had brought his Camera with the Infrared Thingy and took some pictures, this time he has taken the Infrared photo and converted it to Monochrome, (Blake & White) but it still retains the colours of the infrared reflection off the grass and stuff.

Well, it keeps him happy and out of trouble!

 I was looking out to sea at some Wormy Men digging and OTL called out 'Wassat?' which made me turn around and he went 'Click' with the camera!

This is NOT My Best Side!

 While Holly and I were enjoying a sniff, OTL took this one of the Sheppy Bridge in the distance. The sun was shining and I think that is the secret of Infrared Pictures, 'Loads Of Sunlight!'

TM is out tonight at some local crop in Medway, well, it will keep her out of trouble and give OTL a chance to watch a DVD or fall asleep!

Sunday and we're in the Poo Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

You know, Sunday started off rather well today, it just happened to get a bit wet towards the end of the day!

The morning started off really well, we went out with Old Two Legs and The Ferrets, down to the beach, had a run, ferrets dug a hole or two, OTL played with the camera and everything went off well.

Being a bit frosty we were all diving in and out of the grass and sniffin' away until we all had bits of frost on the ends of our noses, and that's including the ferrets as well, but not OTL!

I'll dig the first one here!

 Holly said that according to her shadow, she had grown a bit more but had slimmed down to a willowy figure!

Just look at Slim Me!

 I said that the only similarity between a Willow and Her was the size of the trunk and roots combined!

I looked for my shadow but it had gone and Holly says that's what happens to woofers who tell fibs, they disappear into the sun!

Snowflake and MR B were at the top of the Sea Wall and said that we were both the same size as yesterday, too Round and too Porky!

You're both too Porky!

We were going to 'Have a Word' with them but decided we could leave it for a while 'cos we had seen Snowflake sharpening her teeth!

Back home we all crashed out, enjoying a super snooze 'cos The Missus had gone off to another of her 'Master Classes' so there was not the roar of the turbo powered vacuum machine or even the powered carpet sweeper!

About twelve, I decided not was too good to stay indoors, so I did my 'I wanna Go For A Walk' whine and looked deep into OTL's eyes, he got the message and before long we were down on the beach again having a run and a chase.

Now, because we were earlier than normal OTL decided to go a bit further down the Sea Wall, just to see how muddy it all was.

It was muddy!

So, being a clever sort, OTL decided to go through the trees and onto the playing field so we could have a serious run! We did and you know what? Right down the other end of the field, well ahead of OTL,  Holly and I found a big pile of Super Sniffin' Stuff that just demanded we have a roll in it!

So I Did!

Then Holly came running up and she had a roll in it as well and OTL came running up and, he told us off and called us 'Smelly Nelly's'!

We were that smelly he wouldn't let us anywhere near the front of the car and insisted we stay at the back, down wind and strapped to the retaining rings at the back of the car!

I told you we'd be in the Poo!

We arrived home and were marched straight into the kitchen where OTL filled the bowl with warm water and Doggy Shampoo.

Holly and I got washed from the tip of our noses all the way down to the tip of our tailses, and not a bit was missed on the way through!

It took a whole Doggy Towel each to get the worse of the water off us and then it took a good half an hour run around the house to get the rest of us dried to a soggy 'Damp' consistency!

We were then sent to OTL's office to have a snooze on our cushions until we had dried off a bit more!

Well, dry enough to greet TM when she got back!

Monday tomorrow and a Tree Surgeon is supposed to be arriving to look at removing all the trees in the front garden 'cos OTL plans to have the front block paved.

He'll do anything to get out of mowing the grass!

A Day with OTL.

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Today The Missus was out early 'cos she is running one of her 'Master Classes' so we had to get up early as well. On account of the noise she makes moving all those boxes about!

Old Two Legs was up early as well 'cos he expected to have the job of taking TM and the boxes up to the village hall but in the end TM decided to take to car herself and get up there even earlier!

That means we get to go walkies in the big car, more comfort and a heated seat as well!

Not that it would interest the ferrets 'cos they have to sit on the back seat!

Down on the beach both ferrets had fun digging holes and Miss Snowflake needed a cuddle to get her going!

Some things never change!

Do I have to do this?

 Holly was more interested in the Brent Geese just off shore, she kept mumbling something about 'Tasting like Chicken'!

Then she spotted her shadow and claimed she had grown four feet over night!

Back home and OTL was busy so we all crashed out until lunch time when OTL had finally cleared up all his mess we headed off to the beach again.

This time OTL took his Infrared Thingy and started to get all 'Artistic'! His first was a picture of Holly waddling down the path!

 OTL spotted Mr Corvid on the end of the breakwater and we all called out that he should flap his wings but he said he was too tired!

 Looking across to Sheerness we spotted what Holly says was a Comet but OTL reckons it's a jet plane.

I think I would prefer it to be a Comet!

 Now, how about this, it was a wood burning stove inside a workshop and OTL said that the smoke and the leaves made it look all Wintry!

Winter Wonderland?

 So, now we are waiting for TM to come home, OTL has been around with the feather duster and has vacuumed up the bits on the carpet!

OTL Left Us!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

This morning both ferrets came out with us for a walk! Well, Snowflake got carried down to the beach and so did Mr B. He was hiding in Old Two Legs hood on his coat and peeking out to see what was about! Snowflake of course was buried in OTL's pocket and just poked her nose out every so often, just to see where we were!

OTL threw her out once we had got to the beach and she said it was really too cold for ferrets to be out, but Mr Brambles gave her a cuddle and she then started to have a walk along the beach!

Come on, Snuggle up to my tail, it'll keep you warm!

 We did notice that Mr Brambles hair is growing well over his 'War Wound' and is now nearly as long as his Winter Coat!

 Holly and I were having fun chasing up and down the beach, first digging a hole down one end, racing up to the other and digging another hole, then we raced back and dug some more out of the hole and then raced all the way back to dig some more out of the other hole!

Both ferrets were watching us and Mr Brambles said that we were 'Potty Puppies'!

I'm glad I' not as Potty as those two!

Back home there was Doggy Scoff, terrible stuff!

We got taken to the vet to get some worming tablets and OTL had to put us on the weighing machine, Holly was a big Porky Puppy 'cos she weighed 9.6Kg!

Then it was my turn and I had put on a little bit, I was 7.6Kg!

OTL says that we are both .6Kg over weight and had to loose some fat!

Fat? Us?

So, now The Missus has got her orders, short rations and no Treats and no Shortbread and no Muggins and no Nibbles of Toast and Marmite and no pinching the Ferret Treats!

It's going to be hell!

Mind you, OTL has put on almost two Kg over the holiday himself and he has to cut down on the Shortbread, Whisky, Beer, Chocolate Nibbles, Twigglets and Cheese straws!

OTL is also increasing the stroke count he has to do on the Mary Celeste Rowing Machine in the morning, it is now one thousand three hundred strokes in thirty minutes!

Holly reckons that instead of making him thin again the rowing machine might just do him some irreparable harm or his legs might fall off!

As soon as we got home, OTL sorted the ferrets out and then disappeared off to one of his customers and didn't come back until late afternoon!

Mind you, we did get a walk over the fields with TM but the path and field were all wet and muddy, Yuk!

So, Holly and I are showing off 'cos we are banned from mugging and are just too weak to get out of bed, and it's only been one day!

However, we did get our own back!

These worming tablets are YUK! I mean really YUK! I don't know what they are flavoured with but it's nothing that Holly or I like!

So, to get us to eat them OTL has to get a quarter of a cheese biscuit, put a dollop of spreadable Gorgonzola cheese on the biscuit and then press the tablet into the cheese.

It will normally take two or three bits of biscuit and cheese before the whole lot goes down tablet and all!

Well, you've got to be sneaky sometimes!

Happy Birthday Archie Babe!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly ,Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

First of all a Big Wet Slobbery 'Happy Birthday' to our mate Archie Babe! A whole two years old!

I remember when we were two years old, little young whippersnappers we were getting into all the trouble we could!

Just for Archie, we have got a present here for him and Holly's been guarding it!

There now, doesn't that make your mouth dribble!

Now it may be Archie's birthday but down here it's grey and cloudy with very little sunshine at all!

A Little Bit of Blue!

We went on our morning walk, and again had to leave the ferrets at home, they are not happy about that and Mr Brambles is kicking the water bowl around again!

You know yesterday, Mr B started the kicking bit, so Old Two Legs took it out and put the bowl on the floor, Mr B jumped out of the cage and ran over to where OTL was resting his fingers on the bowl, Mr B jumped at it and gave it such a kick that water sloshed everywhere, all over the carpet and OTL's hand!

So, OTL still reckons it is too wet and damp out but has had an 'Idea'!

That normally is good for a laugh!

OTL has decided to get a carry bag designed for ferrets so he can take them out and if needed, pick them up and carry them in their bag! This is a picture he got from the web site.

Now, OTL may look a bit of a tart with it over his shoulder, but at least the ferrets will be safe and dry!

Who knows, he may even have it under his coat just to keep it dry if it rains and to stop other Two Legs from pointing their fingers at him and laughing and calling him names!

Now all this talk of 'Going Out' has made Snowflake spend time rattling the cage and coming out to chase OTL and the 'Cat Tease' which Snowflake thinks is great fun! So, OTL says to Snowflake, 'Fancy a run out?' and before she can say another word, she was packed up and in the travelling cage!

Mr Brambles stayed asleep or pretended to be asleep! He didn't move a muscle, not even a twitch of his whiskers!

So, OTL left him alone and off we went with Snowflake for a walk.

Well, Snowflake is not a great lover of cold, wet or windy days and we had two out of three, it was windy and colder than the office, so she stayed in OTL's pocket until we got to the beach!

This is NOT ferret weather!

 Even then she was not too happy about walking and spent a long time sniffing the air.

I Sniff Woofer!

What she didn't realise was, she was sniffing us! In the end OTL had to pick her up and quick as a flash she was back in his pocket snuggling up and keeping warm!

Back home and Mr Brambles woke up long enough to have a chat about the beach and then he was back asleep!

If it is sunny tomorrow I think we will all be going out down to the beach again, now that will be fun!

Snowflakes New Hobby!

Hello Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Old Two Legs was awake early this morning, he had to get up and attend to Holly, she wanted to get up on the bed but it was still dark. Well, it would be at three in the morning!

Once OTL is awake he never really gets off to sleep properly again and of course, when the alarm goes off he is more awake than normal! Up he gets and off to the office for his morning exercise.

Mind you, not everyone is happy about that!

The ferrets were complaining that the Mary Celeste makes more noise, since OTL mended it, than it ever did before!

Holly reckons it is OTL who is making the noise, not the  Mary Celeste!

Our walk along the Sea Wall was very pleasant, very little wind, not very cold and dry!

We met up with Max and Oscar who of course were all over OTL like a rash!

We Love OTL!

 One of the problems OTL has with Max & Oscar is that when they jump up to greet him, they always seem to have wet paws, so OTL ends up with wet trousers!

That will teach him!

Back home we were entertained by Snowflake playing around with OTL's camera. You see, he had left it on the floor while he was clearing up in the office and Snowflake said that this camera stuff is no big deal, she could do just as well as OTL!

So she had a go!

Say Cheeeeese!

She told Mr Brambles to 'Get into the middle of the floor' and 'Strike a Pose'! However, Mr Brambles said he felt all embarrassed tarting around in front of the camera and really he preferred Landscape shots!

Snowflake got all 'Huffy' and said that she was an artist and she 'Painted With Light' and Mr B had better get his tail into the middle of the floor or she'll sort him out!

You know, the more she told him off the more embarrassed he became and I don't suppose it helped having Holly and me telling him to 'Stick his Tail Out!' or 'Bristle Yer Whiskers!'  or 'Show us Yer Butt Big Boy!'

I'm Shy!

 In the end Snowflake gave up and flounced off saying 'She can't work with Amateurs!' Holly and I burst out laughing and we both went,........... Oooooooooo!

Poor old Mr B, in trouble again, I don't suppose he will get a cuddle tonight when they go to sleep!
