A Fine Day For Swimming!

Hello Woofers!

Us here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

It has been glorious today, the sun has shone all day and it has been super warm as well, in fact, it was so warm that I had to take a swim to cool off, but more about that later!

After yesterdays massaging by Old Two Legs my back end was back to normal this morning and as a 'Thank You' I jumped onto the bed this morning, while it was still dark, and gave OTL a good ear licking!

This messing about with the clocks really throws out your own body clock, I'm still awake when we go to bed and half asleep when we have to get up!

The ferrets are still trying to work out when to get up. Since the clocks got messed up they have been over sleeping and instead of running down the cage to say 'Good Morning' to OTL, they are still snoring their whiskers off and don't even wake up until OTL has finished his paddle on the rowing machine! Mind you, they were wide awake and rattling on the door to be let out when OTL turned up with their morning bowl of Lactose Free Milk!

Down on the beach Mr Brambles was having fun chasing Holly all over the place. Holly and I stopped for a 'Sniff' and without warning, up crept Mr Brambles singing, 'With a little sniff here, and a little sniff there, sniff sniff here, sniff sniff there, going to have a sniff sniff everywhere!'

Poor Holly just couldn't settle down to a sensible sniff!

 After a while Miss Snowflake came over and said that she wanted to have a climb up the Rock Wall and Mr B was to leave us alone!

Come on, leave the Woofers alone.........!

 We were pleased that she took him off out of our way, that way we could get a detailed sniff of the beach!

OK, now traverse over to the right and then off you go!

 It wasn't too long before they got up to the top of the wall and Mr Brambles was talking about the view!

Just look at the view from here!

 Back home there was a super big bowl full of Ox Heart for me and one for Holly, super scoff! We then spent the rest of the morning snoozing or woofing at anyone who dared to pass our front window!

Lunch time was great!

We started off having a ferret around looking for rabbits but there had been a couple of woofers charging about before we got there, so, no rabbits!

Rabbits have all gone!

So, off we went to have a look at the sea and it looked really strange 'cos there was some sort of Sea Misty stuff that made it difficult to tell what was sea and what was sky!

Well, it's out there some where!

Mind you, I wasn't going to be going too far off shore, so I found a little bit of wood that OTL tossed into the sea for me to chase!

It was super cool in there but Holly said that she was going to stay on shore and sniff the beach!

Now I'm Swimming!

 Of course, every time I was in the water I tried to keep my tail dry by sticking it up in the air, just like a periscope!

 That small bit of wood soon fell into small bits and OTL had to find a bigger stick! I had a great time diving in and fetching the stick back again! The stick was big enough not to fall apart as I chewed on it on the way back in!

Now I've got a BIG STICK!

 I enjoyed a good run along the beach and pretty soon had dried off enough to go back to hunting some rabbit!

The only problem was, the rabbits were too far away and in their silly squeaky voices, they were calling us names!

Can't Catch Us! Can't Catch Us! Can't Catch Us! Can't Catch Us!

Holly and I are going to make a plan to teach those pesky rabbits a lesson!

Back to the drawing board!

He's Back Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Sorry about the missed blogs but Old Two Legs didn't get back until late yesterday and after we had all said 'Hello' and told our stories about what has been happening, it was just too late to sit down and type out the blog!

Mind you, today has been a bit eventful!

It started out far too early, about an hour too early! I just don't know why you Two Legs keep messing about with the clocks. Let's face it, if you want to get up earlier to milk the cow or dig a field, then get up an hour earlier and leave the rest of us in bed!

So, there we were an hour earlier than normal and didn't we catch the rabbits out! You see they don't know anything about the clocks changing and we caught them out good and proper!

OTL was a bit slow getting the ferrets out of the car, so Holly and I went off down the path and ran into a crowd of rabbits. Of course, they scattered in all directions! Holly and I decided to chase one that was heading down the path towards OTL who was calling us and cuddling the ferrets at the same time!

Around the corner the rabbit went with us Doggy's in hot pursuit.  Ahead of the rabbit was OTL and two ferrets!

Poor rabbit didn't know what he was to do!

So, in the end he dived into the bushes and disappeared down a hole! We don't know if it was a rat or rabbit hole, but he got away!

Holly and I went back to the Rabbit Hunting Ground and scared the tails off a few more rabbits before joining the ferrets down on the beach!

There is Just Too Many Woofers Today!

 Down on the beach Miss Snowflake was in two minds on going in for a swim, first of all she got close to the water but as the sea splashed onto her paws she decided that maybe it was not really warm enough for a dip!

Maybe I will and Maybe I won't!

Mr Brambles was Humming and Haring about going in as well but just like Snowflake, he decided the sun wasn't warm enough for a splash!

Maybe I will but there again...........I won't!

Both of them ran back up the beach and had a cuddle while waiting for OTL and getting ready to head back to the car!

I think we made the right decision today to stay out!

Now, all this rabbit chasing we did has caused a problem with my back legs. It's not until I get home and have a rest that the pain kicks in and I can't walk without it hurting.

OTL thinks it is a sort of cramp I get and gives me a cuddle and then massages my back legs while I am spread out on my back!

It helps, but I am forced to stay and have a sleep before the pain goes away enough for me to walk properly.

So, today I have been under the desk on my cushion and then OTL carried me down stairs and I spent the afternoon on OTL's chair, trying to have a snooze and getting more massages from OTL when he has a break from 'Manufacturing' as he calls it!

You know, I even stayed on the chair when he went down to the carriers to send off the stuff!

With a bit of luck the pain will wear off before we have to go to bed or otherwise I will have to spend all evening cuddled up in OTL's arms while he rubs my legs.

It's a Hard Life sometimes!

OTL's Off and Snowflake gets Sneaky!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Well, today has been a rush, up early and OTL has been trying to cram a whole days work into half a day and not making much success of it!

This morning run was full of fun
Both of the ferrets were down on the sand, digging holes as normal, except... they had a MISSION!
A couple of Bozo dogs had told them that there was some TREASURE buried on the beach, so there they were, going potty, digging for Britain!  Holly and me knew the Bozo dogs were winding them up ... and we woz right!

'ere, you found any treasure yet?

Nope ... 'ave you?

Holly and I just carried on sniffin some new sniffs!

Cor! this is a really strong sniff !

 Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles gave up and went rock climbing instead.
 I heard them chatting about racing to the top of the rocks.
Mr Brambles was hoping to win but Snowflake was first by a 'nose'!

is there a prize?

Yes.. a kiss from me !

 

'ere rabbits... come to Daisy!

I got bored with the ferrets getting all kissy, kissy and went looking for rabbits.
I didn't find any, even though I woofed and woofed for them to come out and play with us.
Holly said that, because its Friday, they have all gone shopping for the weekend groceries.

YUM YUM!

Back home to bowls of delicious chicken for us, all lovely and warm from the oven. We love TM!!

Up in OTL's office, that sneaky Miss Snowflake had found the Ferretone and was slurping away, nicking Mr Brambles share as well as her own, cos he was crashed out, fast asleep!

He's snoring.... again!

TM took us out for a walk this afternoon. It was alright but she won't let us look for rabbits like OTL does... and he has gone and LEFT US for a couple of days... he's off on another adventure with Uncle Alun.
We wanted to go too, cos we love adventures.
TM says we can go and play with the glue pots and glitter, in the village hall,with her tomorrow, but its not the same.
Mind you, Aunty Sheila and Aunty Karen (the cat woman) will be there, with lots of other ladies... there might be SANDWICHES and CAKE! That will be worth the trip then!

TM's Sequel!

Attention Woofers!

Quiet on set please, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

What a day we have had today!

The Missus has got into her mind that the world wants to see a sequel to her last card making video!

That being so, Old Two Legs was up early to get us all walked and exercised before TM gets the make up on!

Mind you, he did say that we need not rush 'cos TM takes a while to get her 'War Paint' on!

We had a gentle walk down to the beach and on the way Holly came across a pong that neither of us could identify. We did think about having a roll in it but OTL was just too close for comfort!

I don't know what it is but it sure does pong!

Both ferrets were riding along in the 'Ferret Bag' and after a while Mr Brambles climbed out and onto OTL's arm again. He had only just got up and had a look at the ships passing when he spotted the camera, 'Oh Gawd' he says, 'Not Again!'

We all had a good wander along the beach and when we got onto the path back to the car, Holly and I chased a rabbit but to be honest, it was too far away when we spotted it, so, by the time we got to where it was, we were too exhausted to do any more chasing!

Just for a laugh Holly and I crept up behind the ferrets and said that we will give their tails a nip if they didn't get a move on!

Well, it makes a change to get out own back!

Back home OTL got going setting up the 'Studio' while TM tried to remember her lines! There were a few 'Re-Takes' and a couple of 'Bloopers' but enough about Holly's tummy!

TM was getting on well and in the end there were three sections that were videoed and OTL said that he had some work to do before up loading to the blog!

Maybe early next week it will have its 'Premier' so book your seats and get your pop corn on order!

Lunchtime it was still sunny and just a bit windy but it was still great diving in and out of the undergrowth!

We came flying out of the bushes to find OTL on his knees photographing this Small Tortoiseshell, his first one this year!

He does get so excited!

 It looks like he will be out with his Macro Lens to get the small bugs!

Now, tomorrow OTL is off for the weekend with Alun (Tripod Walla) for a weekend of fun and frivolity so we are not sure what TM is going to do for us regarding photographs!

We may just have tell you what happens instead of photos!

It's TMs Birthday, Again!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

What a day today! It starts off with Old Two Legs alarm going off on his mobile phone!

Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping!

By the time he got to it, it had stopped, so back to bed he went only to have the phone go off again!

 Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Thud!

This time he got to it and switched it off! Then he had a look at the message, it read, TM's Birthday!

As if he would forget!

We had all clubbed together and got her a gissmo for her iPlod Thingy Wossit! We've no idea what it does but she seemed pleased to get it!

We all sang 'Happy Birthday' to her but as it was four fifteen in the morning we had to keep it quiet'ish 'cos the neighbours would start banging on the walls!

We did another 'Happy Birthday' after OTL had got up, by then the grinding of the cogs in the paddle machine was making loads of noise, so we reckoned we'd get away with it!

We all went down the beach and Miss Snowflake insisted on getting out of the ferret bag and cuddled up on OTL's arm.

This is really too early!

Down on the beach Mr Brambles was having a great time digging holes and trying to wrap the lead around OTL's legs!

Then, just for a change, he said he would try some 'Shell Surfing' using his body as a surf board!

Holly says that his back end is bug enough for us all to use him as a surf board!

Streamlined Surfing Ferret!

Mr Brambles thought it was all good fun and after a bit of Shell Surfing, he decided to try a run along the 'Wall of Death'!

This is always good fun 'cos half the time you are on the wall and the other half you are on the shells!

Outta My Way OTL!

 Of course, the shells finally run out and he is left with the Rock Wall and today he took the lead climbers position and headed up the wall like a greased rat up a drain pipe! 

It's a bit tricky up the top!

We were soon up on the path sniffing our way back to the car. Now what normally happens is that Holly and I get ahead a bit and explore the sniffs before the ferrets get near enough to disturb us.

They would get involved in their own sniffs and we would travel along the path like that. However, as we got closer to the car, the ferrets would speed up their sniffing and get closer and closer to us doggies!

Before we realised, they would be in between our back legs and if we were unlucky, Mr Brambles would give us a nip!

Move it Woofer!

It is just a little nip but it makes us jump! Then OTL gets us on the lead and we all head back to the car and as long as we keep ahead and don't stop for a sniff we manage to stay out of trouble!

Keep Going Doggies, There's a Ferret Behind You!

 Lunchtime came and we were out again for a walk but didn't get too far 'cos the rain came down and OTL didn't even take his camera out of the car!

When we got home TM told us of a letter she had received and it was from Archie Babe. Now Archie has always had a thing about us, especially me! Now, he wants me to go up there and live with him and he has promised loads of 'Real Food' no Doggy Scoff!

Now, this is tempting, no more Holly woofing in the middle of the night waking me up. No more ferrets nipping my tail just 'cos I wanted to stop for a sniff. No TM rolling over in the night and kicking me off the bed. No OTL snoring his head off.  And No Doggy Scoff!

Seems tempting, however, I wouldn't get OTL giving me a cuddle when my back legs hurt 'cos I've been chasing rabbits and pulled my leg muscle. Then there is the swimming in the sea, no more of that. Then there is the car rides and the caravan holiday in Isle of Mull. Then there is all my mates down here, like Barney and Barney Number Two and Max and Oscar and Bozo Boris and the rest. Then there is Hissin' Chrissy that Ginger Cat that we chase out of the garden and then there's the birds in the garden as well. Then there is the cuddle I get from TM when we are on the sofa together and there's the rawhide chews she gets from Tesco's!

Mmmmmm! I think that I will have to let Archie Babe down, I'd also miss Holly Dog, even if she is a pain sometimes!

Now where is the pen and paper?

Busy, Busy!

Hi Woofers!

Us Again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

This morning it was not very nice outside, we knew that 'cos the ferrets said that they would pass on the morning walk, due mainly to the rain falling out of the sky and making big sploshing sounds in the pond!

How do they know all that from inside a cage?

They were right tho' and it was left to Holly and me to get Old Two Legs out of bed and onto his paddling machine!

We think he is getting too old for the machine, it seems it is getting harder to clear the one thousand strokes in half an hour and he doesn't look too good when he has finisher either!

Off we went in the rain but by the time we got down to the car park, the rain had stopped, just the rain, the wind was as strong as ever!

We met up with Max and Oscar and it was Oscar who wanted to know where the ferrets were 'cos he fancied a sniff!

I Wanna Ferret!

He seemed most put out when we told him they were at home, snoozing!

Well, as we didn't have the ferrets with us, Holly and I decided we would go chase a rabbit or two in the woods above the beach. We don't normally go there and it is only when we 'escape' that we get there and it's always muddy!

We got marched back to the car, on the lead and Holly said we more than likely would get Doggy Scoff again!

Lucky for us, it was Chicken! Brill!

Miss Snowflake has been going on about her 'Selfie' yesterday and it has been boring us no end! Even Mr Brambles was getting fed up and that is very unusual 'cos he normally thinks Snowflake is wonderful!

When we got out at lunch time, OTL decided it was warm enough for the ferrets to come with us, especially as the rain had stopped!

Mr Brambles whispered in OTL's ear that he wanted to have a go at his own 'Selfie', just so he can shut Miss Snowflake up!

 Down on the beach Holly and I were tearing along the beach doing our 'Flying Practice'!

Miss Snowflake said that ferrets can't fly, however, they are very good at impersonations. So, just to show us, she did an impersonation of a young seal pup!

Holly said that she should have buried her tail 'cos it spoilt the show and offered to dig a hole for her!

Holly and I began to dig a Super Sized Hole but Mr Brambles, who had been listening to our making fun of Snowflake, got all protective, as he does, and chased us out of the hole!

 Before long he had nipped both Holly and I on the back legs, so much so that we had to get out of the hole, leaving it all to him!

I Want My Hole Back!

 No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get Mr Brambles out of the hole. I tried Woofing, and Growling and I even jumped over the top of him but he still wouldn't get out!

I Said It's MY HOLE!

At that point he started to chase me down the beach but he's nowhere near as fast as me! I returned to the hole to take possession, who should I find there?

Out or I'll nibble Yer Claws!

It wasn't long before Brambles returned and between the pair of them they took possession of the hole again, and then they both wee'd in it!

That was it, ferret wee stopped play!

We all headed back to the car but we noticed that OTL was hanging back 'cos Mr Brambles had dived off into the undergrowth, he said he was chasing a Mouse but Snowflake says it was a Vole!

You see, Mouses and Voles tend to confuse him a bit!

What is he doing now?

When we got back to the car, OTL gave us all a rub down with the towel and was about to get in the car when I spotted some strangers coming up the path, well, no stranger gets past us, so I set about telling them to 'Woof Off'!

Not that they took any notice but it was fun telling them to Woof Off anyway!

By the way, I forgot to mention that last night we were hoping for some good mugging from OTL's diner plate but you know what TM gave him to eat?

Salad! YUK! YUK! and DOUBLE YUK!

It looks like TM hates him as well!

We have fun doing more Selfies!

Hi Woofers!

Us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It was a super walk this morning, loads of fun! First of all we chased a rabbit across the Hunting Ground but it got away, well, actually, we lost it. Old Two Legs said we were going right while the rabbit was going left and by the time we had worked out what was happening, the rabbit had made it back to bed and was snoozing its whiskers off!

Miss Snowflake, flushed with the success of her pictures yesterday decided to get OTL to put on the 18mm lens instead of the 50mm one he had on yesterday. This was so that we could get everything in the frame and in focus!

This is her first attempt but as she said, I want a Selfie, so that means no OTL!

 That's the trouble with these 'Ferret Diva's' They must have everything Just So!

Down on the beach we all had a sniff around, except OTL, who has a very bad sense of smell and doesn't complain, even when Holly lets one go!

Then Holly said she was going to 'Catch Some Rays' and sat down on the sand and closed her eyes!

Because there was very little wind blowing, it felt really warm. Roll on Summer

OTL stopped off at the trees on the way back to the car to see if the 18mm lens would do anything for the blossom.

We decided that it was pretty, but nothing to set the world alight! Mind you, it did at least tell us that Spring has arrived!

Yep! Spring is Here!

Talking of Spring Arriving, the nest box we have outside the office window keeps getting visited by a pair of sparrows. Now, this year OTL has been a bit lazy and didn't clear out all the old nesting stuff from last year, so we are not too sure if the sparrows will take up residence or they're scared off by the sniff of the last family from last year.

We will let you know what happens!

Just before the ferrets were put back for their morning snooze, we saw Miss Snowflake busy ferreting about in one of the boxes that make up their Adventure Playground.

When asked what she was doing she replied, 'Making My Own Box Camera!'

The Missus 'Hates Us' 'cos this morning we got Doggy Scoff! It's Horrid! Holly and I think she is going to starve us poor little puppies. We are drafting a letter to the RSPCDH!

We are going to tell them how TM is trying to starve us!

That will teach her to look after us properly!

We need real food not this terrible stuff!

Weak with hunger, we went out for our midday walk with OTL.

First off we went to the carriers to drop off some stuff then, 'cos we were sort of close, we went to The Forrest!

It had been drying out and there were just a few muddy bits but we managed to stay out of them and keep to the dry bits! I had great fun charging through the forest, along the tree trunks and around all the trees!

Then we went searching for Rabbits!

We didn't even see them! They must still be in bed snoozing!

Mine you, we went tearing around a corner and ran straight into a Super Big Bozo! He didn't woof and instead stood there looking all Bozo like! He gave us a sniff then went over to OTL and the pair of them got on a treat! Bozo was doing the 'I Love OTL' bit and OTL was tickling him behind his ear!

WOT A TART!

 We just couldn't take any more and rushed off to get a Last Sniff before OTL put our leads on!

Last sniff Sis before home!

 OTL spotted some flowers and took a picture, as he does, but he can't remember what they are called. He has been looking in his books but still hasn't identified them yet.

That's what you get when you start playing with Bozo's!

Back home it was still Doggy Scoff in our bowls and we thought that The Missus was going to order us some Ox Heart!

Oh well, back to serious mugging of OTL tonight, let's hope he gets some decent nosh that we enjoy!
