Didn't it Rain!

Hi Woofers!

McDaisy, MacHolly, Miss MacSnowflake and Mr McBrambles again!

Well, what a day we have had! First of all we went out good and early, mainly because The Missus was up early bashing about making a mirror frame thingy wotssit for her 'Master Class' and of course, when she starts tramping up and down the caravan, no one sleeps, not even the ferrets!

Old Two Legs gave the ferrets a run around the field and they enjoyed a good sniff around the rock pile. Miss MacSnowflake reckons that before long there will be Weasels or Stoats taking up residence there!

It was starting to rain, so they didn't stay out too long, just enough to do their business and scarper back to the Travel Cage which was now in the caravan with fresh water and food all ready for them!

Then it was our turn, off we went down to Loch Frisa and parked up there and wandered across the road to where we had been before, no Eagles or such!

OTL found a very small waterfall, well, it really wasn't a waterfall, more of a water dribble down the rocks, but he thought it looked interesting, so he took a picture!

More of a Dribble!

Just above where the waterfall was, a rock was protruding from the earth and on top of the rock there was a Wheatear in all his finest breeding colours! He looked really smart and OTL tried to get a close picture of him but he got a bit worried and flew off!

'er be a Wheatear!
MacHolly and I found a load of Mole Hills by the side of the roadway, I said that it was impossible for one mole to have dug all those but OTL said that as the hills were in tow lines, it was most likely that it was one very industrious mole!

One Mole did all This?
MacHolly and I were investigating a load of bushes by the side of a small stream and suddenly there was a flurry of flapping and squawking! I must say it surprised us both and we decided to get out before we came to any harm!

We're not daft you know, we've heard tales of these Wild Haggis's!

It's a Flying Wild Haggis!
OTL was laughing and said it was a bird, well, it could have been a Wild Flying Haggis!

There be rain coming!
The rain had started to come down now, so it was a quick rush back to the car and home to the caravan for a good rub down and some breakfast.

You know, we spent all day looking out of the window at the rain, it didn't stop all day or all night!

The awning developed a big 'Droop' as it filled with water and TM broke or 'Ball Throwing Stick' trying to push the water off!

Outside the green grass has tuned to green water and when OTL goes out to get some water he has to get dressed in all his weatherproof gear!

So, at the moment we are going a little 'Stir Crazy' and we are actually looking forward to riding with OTL down to the Bakers to post this blog!

His afternoon OTL says we can go out to Derviag for a run on the beach, if it's not raining too much!

Even the ferrets are looking forward to a ride out!

See you all tomorrow!

Swimming Ferrets and TM Sails Away!

Hi Woofers!

McDaisy, MacHolly, Miss MacSnowflake and Mr McBrambles back again!

Last night The Missus announces to us all that she is 'Going into Oban' to have a look around a 'Craft Shop'!

A forty five minute ferry journey and a half an hour car ride just to look at 'Craft Shop', yeah, that's what we thought as well!

So, up early for our morning walk before taking TM to the Docks!

Instead of going back to the hill with the Communication Towers, Old Two Legs decided that a trip alongside Loch Frisa would be fun, especially as there may be some Sea Eagles nesting up there!

Well MacHolly and I fell out of the car and woofed at some rabbits on the path who took one look at us and scampered back down their rabbit holes!

MacHolly and I carried on up the road laughing and telling OTL that all the eagles had run away now that MacHolly and I were here!

'Who's afraid of the Big Bad Eagle'!
That was until we turned the corner and there, up in the air, gliding around looking for some early morning breakfast was a Sea Eagle!

'Some One Call?
Not only did we have an Eagle looking for a pair of tasty puppies, there, up the road a bit and heading towards us what what MacHolly said looked like a Nargle!

Is it a Nargle?
That was it, we were back down the path and heading towards the car, like, Quick!

OTL said that it was a road roller, rolling down the new road surface but MacHolly and I didn't care, we were off!

We decided that as the sun was coming out, we would go on the path on the other side of the road leaving the Eagles and Loch to itself!

You can keep Loch Frisa!
Over the other side of the road the sun came out and we had a great time chasing some rabbits, until OTL reminded us that we had to take TM to the Docks!

No Eagles or Nargles, just Rabbits!
Well, we made it, just! The ferry had pulled in and was off loading the day trippers so TM got her tickets and waved us goodbye and headed for the 'Lounge Bar' which she says served coffee but we think it was the Vodka she was after!

We stood on the shoe at Grass Point and waved to her as she headed off to Oban!

Bye, Bye, TM
Both ferrets were out of the 'Carry Cage' and we scrambling over the rocks having a great time. OTL told them to be careful they didn't fall into any of the rock pools, as if!

We are too sure footed to fall in!
It wasn't long before we heard 'SPLASH!'

Yep! Miss MacSnowflake had fallen in! Mind you, she is a good swimmer, it was that she just didn't know it, until today!

Look! I'm Swimming!
MacHolly and I were laughing about hat when we heard another 'SPLASH!' and saw Mr McBrambles finding out that he also can swim!

Well, That Was Easy!
They both got out of the water and headed for OTL who gave them a rub down and a cuddle and they retired to the cage for a little roll around in the blanket!

MacHolly and I played on the beach, chasing each other and digging holes!

Catch Me if You Can!
It wasn't long before the ferrets came out and we all had a game running on the grass and sniffing the sniffs!

Playing Again!
It wasn't too long before we got the telephone call to pick up TM from the Docks where she had landed, then back to the caravan for some dinner!

So, it's an early night for us and sorry the blog is a bite late, the bakers was shut when OTL went down to the shop, we are blaming TM, she should have got the bus back instead of demanding OTL pick her up!

See you all tomorrow!

Toll Roads?

Hi Woofers!

McDaisy, MacHolly, Miss MacSnowflake and Mr McBrambles back on our first 'Real' day!

We are in Tobermory and are searching out all the places we have been to in the past. Like the Ardmore Forest that is shut until the middle of June! You know, even we couldn't hold on until then!

OTL took us up to the Communication Towers at the top of a big hill yesterday and after that we had a really good time running around the field where the caravan is parked.

This morning we went back up the hill again and Old Two Legs let us off the lead as soon as we got past the 'Cattle Grid' 'cos yesterday we didn't see any Sheep or Coo's on the hill.

Today was different!

About half way up the hill we noticed there were fresh piles of cow poo on the road, this is a 'Danger Sign'!

Then we spotted them.

Hiding in the heather and giving us the old 'Hairy Eyeball' were these Highland Coo's!

We See Yoooo!
 And on the Hill!

I see yoo as well!

We skipped past them and headed up to the top of the hill where we could see for miles!

It was great fun chasing after the rabbit sniffs, but we didn't find one rabbit anywhere, but it was still fun jumping in and over all the heather!

We found a rock ledge and posed for OTL to take a picture, sort of 'Rock Maidens'!

Rock Maidens of Mull!
We decided to go down the hill but not on the road, this time we would go down across all the heather in in and out of the gullies and crags!

Going the Sneaky Way!
As we got close to the bottom of the hill we saw that one of the coo's had parked itself in the middle of the road, looking to collect a toll from us. Obviously they hadn't met OTL before!

Show Us Yer Wallet!
OTL called the 'Highway Robbers' and we all laughed at them for thinking they could outsmart OTL's wallet!

MacHolly was keeping a close watch for Wild Haggis and even managed to stand on her back legs to peer over the rocks!

It's a Wild Haggis!
MacHolly doesn't normally stand on her back legs!

Back at the caravan OTL took the ferrets for a run around the field. They were sniffing everywhere and at one point Miss MacSnowflake managed to dive into a rock pile and get stuck, so OTL had to pull her back out again. She was all muddy and mucky and had to be washed down with a wet cloth to get most of the muck off!

Just Sniffing The Sniffs!
Snowy Heights is located in the awning, on top of three chairs, to keep the damp and ticks from getting to the ferrets and the bedding! MacHolly, Miss MacSnowflake think it is great having fresh air to sniff! In the evening they come in, before it gets damp, and set up home in the 'Travelling Cage' ready for bed time.

Snowy Heights!
OTL lets them out in the caravan and they have a great time chasing eachother around the caravan and investigating all the nooks and crannies! Mind you, OTL has to keep an eye on them to make sure they don't get too excited and do a wee or poo on the carpet!

Remember how poor OTL wasn't looking forward to gallons of Hot Chocolate being poured down his throat while up loading the blog? Well, this year he went into the shop and was told that the Wi-Fi was not available!

So, of he went down the High Street and found one in the bakers shop, it also had some tables and chairs where you could get a bite to eat! So, there he was, a big cup of coffee and a big sticky bun on a plate, uploading the blog. The problem was, no mains power to computer and the batteries only last half an hour from a 'Full Charge'!

So, up loading the pictures and stuff, he forgot to 'Spell Check' for me, so, pleese exkuse any speelin mistooks on yesterdays bloG!

See you all tomorrow!

We're Here!

Hi Woofers!

McDaisy, MacHolly, Miss MacSnowflake and Mr McBrambles are now 'North of The Border and way over to 'The Left'!

In fact we are in Tobermory, on the camp-site where we have stayed before. If you want to see what it is like have a look at their web site on http://www.tobermory-campsite.co.uk/

Let's tell you what has happened since Monday morning.

Well, we were up good and early, Old Two Legs wanted to be on the road by nine, so, good and early we were down The Beach for a quick 'W & P' and even the ferrets got a move on as well!

Back home to disassemble Snowy Heights and get it packed away. Then we had to catch the ferrets to put them in their 'Travelling Cage', the sneaky little ferrets had gone on a rampage around the bedroom and decided to play 'Hide n Seek' under the bed! OTL & The Missus have a King Size bed but there are only two things that can get under the bed, Fluff and a Ferret!

It was OK, 'cos OTL just rattled the Ferret Nibbles' bag and the pair of them were out like a shot!

Pretty soon we were off, about half an hour late which by our reckoning that wasn't too bad!

As soon as we got out of the village, the ferrets started, 'Are we there yet?' but it didn't last long 'cos they soon fell asleep, after Mr Bramble had kicked the Poo Pot about a bit!

The journey up to Gretna Green was as normal, a bit boring, but it was fun in the Motorway Services 'cos OTL first walked us around the trees to have a wee and you could see the truckers looking at us. Then after we had gone back to the car, OTL went around with the ferrets and pretended they were pulling him all over the place! We all laughed when they cam around the corner, it looked like OTL was in a chariot race and the ferrets were the horses!

We arrived at Gretna Green and pitched up for the night and off we went to look for the 'Chinese Takeaway' but it was shut! We were so looking forward to some King Prawns and Clackers!

In the end OTL had Steak Pie 'n Chips while TM had a Cheese Hamburger & Chips. Then, for 'Afters' they brought a big pot of ice cream that was made on the premises! Very tasty it was too, MacHolly and I had our very own bowl with a big dollop inside to lick up!

We had to explain to the ferrets why we all had to change our names. Mr McBrambles was still a bit confused but that's nothing new, he's as bad as OTL!

The next morning we were up and out just after seven thirty, half an hour late but had a good run into Glasgow and onto Stirling.

The ferrets did their 'Are we.....?' but again fell asleep in no time, the gentle rocking of the car helped there!

We all woke up when we got on the first ferry at Corran, just south of Fort William and OTL was saying, 'Yes, we are almost there'!

We were looking out of the windows to see if we could spot Eagles or Buzzards or Red Dear or Nargles or even Wild Haggis!

OTL said that the Haggis keep high in the mountains during the day to keep away from The Midges!

We had the windows open a bit but being reminded of The Midges made us wind the window up, PDQ! Midges are the next worse thing to Ticks!

The next ferry took us onto the Isle of Mull and then onto the Camp Site! It was great to be back on out normal pitch and that means we have a small field all to ourselves! MacHolly and I were tearing around letting off steam while OTL planted the caravan and put the awning up and did all the other things to get set for our holidays!

The ferrets had a great time exploring the caravan while Mac Holly and I stayed up on the bench seats out of their way! They were chasing each other all around the caravan Dooking or Chuckling away.

Normally Mr McBrambles doesn't like his routine messed about with and to have been dragged from his nice warm house, transported over six hundred miles and have his name changed, well, the poor chap should just be ready for a nervous breakdown!

OTL had allowed for that and had been giving the ferrets lots of attention and treats and slurps of Ferretone!

So, other than his traditional 'Poo Pot Kicking Exercise' he has been very good. Miss MacSnowflake has taken it all in her stride and shows no sign of distress at all, in fact she is all ' Sniffs and Eyeballs Open' taking it all in!

Well, last night we all slept well, even the ferrets were an hour late in waking up this morning!

OTL gave them a run around the field and they christened several parts with what Mr McBrambles calls 'Marker Poos' which I didn't know anything about, I thought you just poo'ed and that was it!

But they are related to Otters and they leave 'Marker Poos' called a 'Spraint'. OTL says that only the ferrets can get away with that and if us doggies tried any Marker Pooing' we would be in 'Deep Poo' or should that be 'Deep Spraint' !

After the ferrets OTL took us up to Ardmore Forest where we normally have our walks but when we got there, it was closed! They are doing some 'Tree Felling' and the access is closed until the middle of June which is no good to us 'cos we'll be home by then!

OTL then told us about a song he knows about trees!

And they took all the trees and put them in a Tree Musium
And they took all the trees and put them in a Tree Musium and the charges the people a dollar and a half just to see them!!

OTL said he knew of another place to walk and we headed off to a big hill with some 'Communication Masts' up the top, trust OTL to know about Communication Sites!

Just Rolling in The Sniff!
Of we went and we wee'd and poo'd all the way up and all the way down again!

Mind you, we did sniff some rabbits and anyway who needs trees all the time!

It's a Long Way Up!
We have been having some great fun chasing a ball OTL has brought, together with a 'Throwing Stick' which makes the ball go much further and doesn't wear out OTL's throwing arm!

Once again, to get access to the Internet, OTL has to go into town, purchase a cup of chocolate and a big sticky bun, just so he can use the 'Free Wi-Fi' in the shop! Poor OTL he really suffers for us!

We met up with a lady Blackbird who moved to Tobermory from Oban and she says that while it is not so crowded a Girl can make a living from the local Two Legs!

A Girl can make a Living!
Not sure what we are going to do tomorrow but it will be fun and who knows, we may even take the ferrets for a swim at Calgary Bay if the weather is warm enough!

See you all tomorrow!

McDaisy, MacHolly, Miss MacSnowflake and Mr McBrambles!

Loading Up The Caravan!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles and Daisy!

What a busy day we've had today, first of all there was the 'Walkies' down on The Beach with the other Daisy doing what she does best, Pooing and chasing balls, but not at the same time!

The ferrets were playing their normal games on the way down to The Beach.

Are We There............?
Old Two Legs was trying to get all 'Arty' again!

Guess What?
Down on The Beach OTL was throwing the ball and Daisy and I were chasing after it, of course, she won almost every time. Except the time she took her eye off the ball and she couldn't find it!

She was almost panicking, thinking it had got away and it took me to point out where it was!

You see, being crafty is better than being fast!

Where's me Ball? Where is it?
I thought I'd have some fun and dug a hole in the sand and told Daisy that I knew a Super Trick I could do with the ball and all she had to do was place it at the bottom of my deep hole!

She was almost convinced but OTL spoilt it by calling her to him so he could throw the ball again!

'er, I know a good trick!
Now, when Holly and I are out with OTL, we generally walk in front sniffing the sniffs and clearing the way ahead of Monsters and Nargles. Not Daisy, she keeps 'Sweeping' from side to side, sniffing and snuffling at every sniff she can find. This means that she takes far too long to cover a short distance!

There are times when Holly and I just have sit down and wait for her to catch up! You know, we reckon that the ferrets are quicker in a straight line than her!

Oh No! Just what is she doing now? It'll be Christmas before she is finished!

Lunch time Daisy's owners were back so we had OTL to ourselves. There were a group of Two Legs sitting on the Sea Wall and they wanted to stroke us, Holly was having none of that, and told them straight.......

No Food........No Strokes!
I also had fun chasing the ball that Daisy had brought with her, except, Daisy wasn't with us, so I had it all to myself!

Come on........Jus' Throw It!
Early to bed tonight and off tomorrow as early as we can!

Now, remember, Broad Band Access is very dodgy on the way up to the Isle of Mull, so, if you don't hear from us tomorrow, don't panic, we will give you a double helping on Tuesday, providing we can find a signal!

Bye bye for now!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It's Daisy again!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles and Daisy!

It has been a bit dull today as far as the weather goes, all clouds and rain drops band just a little sun this afternoon!

The Missus has one of her Master Classes today and demanded that we were back home by eight this morning to take her up to the Village Hall so she can set up all the tables and chairs.

Instead of going down onto the beach we set the ferrets down at the top of the hill on the grass.

Miss Snowflake was straight into the cut grass and was diving underneath pretending she was hiding from Foxes, Eagles and Nargles!

Is that a Fox over there?
There were drops of rain falling so we didn't hang about too much and Holly decides to go in front and see what was ahead.

It was further up the path that Holly found some good sniff and had a roll! It wasn't until Old Two Legs got back to the car that he spotted the sniff!

Holly had to have a wash when she got home and was not happy about it!

Before we got home, we did do some creeping up on rabbits.

Miss Snowflake and I were doing our 'Sneaky, Sneaky Crawl along the path towards the rabbit.

Easy, Easy, Sneaky, Sneaky!
Holly was ahead and was learning how to creep up on rabbits, but she just couldn't control herself and rushed the rabbit at the last moment!

Holly trying to be Sneaky!
Back home TM got up to the hall on time and OTL managed to keep out of trouble!

We have been asked to give Daisy (Springer Spaniel) a walk at lunch time and tomorrow morning. Of course OTL says 'Yes' and we get a big bouncy ball to chase!

OK, Who's got The Ball?
Of course, down on the beach Daisy was chasing the ball and beating me to it every time!

She is just too darn fast!

Then I had an idea!

OTL, Can you throw it a little closer to me?
OTL tried, one time it even hit me, but that Daisy is just too fast, too big and too rough to play 'Chase The Ball' with!

Me? I'm a gentle little puppy!
By the time we got home it was almost time for OTL to go and pick up TM and all her stuff. So, while we are waiting for him to bring her back, we are having a snooze in the office and I'm just finishing off the blog. After that it's off to the window to watch for them!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake , Mr Brambles and Daisy.

Friday Fun with Foxes!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, what a day we've had!

First thing this morning Holly thought our garden had been invaded by loads of cats! Being a good 'Guard Dog' she was up and woofing like mad! She woofed and howled and snarled and even grumbled!

Then The Missus came down stairs to see what all the fuss was about and found.........nothing!

Holly had been dreaming!

Still, it got everyone up and running about, except Old Two Legs who doesn't do 'Running About First Thing in The Morning'!

We had to get up early to have our walk 'cos TM was pinching the little car to go and do one of her 'Demonstrations' up at a local craft shop thingy!

So, there we were, getting close to The Beach when OTL spotted something unusual in the shelter by the side of the path.

Good Morning Mr Fox!
I was down on the sand but Holly just had to go back for a look and a sniff! You know, that fox was bigger than Holly and looked in 'Good Condition'!

OTL called Holly back but Holly, Being Holly, just wanted to get closer to have a look at him!

I rather fancy those Ferrets, can we do a deal?
It took OTL to throw a handful of sea shells at both Holly and the fox before the fox ran off and Holly came down onto the beach!

All the time the ferrets were sitting on OTL's arm, not saying a thing. Those ferrets can spot trouble a mile away!

Miss Snowflake found that lump of wood again and said she could do some surfing on it if the tide was in!

Look at me, I'm a Surfing Ferret!
Holly and I had a good game of 'Chase' up and down the beach before heading back to the car.

We climbed up from the beach and guess what we saw at the top of the hill?

It was him again!

Aren't you supposed to run away?
Now this is strange, most foxes run away as soon as we arrive on the scene but this one just stood there giving us the 'Evil Eyeball'!

Still not moving!
We decide to leave it alone but for some reason the fox just stood there doing nothing! We wandered off with OTL and it was about ten minutes before we turned the corner and that Dopey Fox was still standing there!

Dopey Fox!
The ferrets kept on looking behind them, just to make sure the fox didn't chase after us!

As we came down the hill, OTL put us on the lead 'cos he had to get back and didn't want to have to chase Holly and me as we chase after the rabbits!

Then, just after putting on the lead, what did we see? A Rabbit, on the path, with its back to us!

A Very Lucky Dopey Rabbit.
Around the corner, there, sitting on the side of the path was another Dopey Rabbit! Oh My, we could have had loads of fun chasing this one!

Instead of that, we were on the lead trying to keep away from the ferrets teeth!

Another Dopey Rabbit!
That was it, we were back home in no time and just in time for TM to take over the car and off to her 'Demonstration Day'.

We had a short rest before heading off to the 'Poodle Parlor' for our 'Shampoo & Set' ready for the holiday.

I won't bore you with what happened but it was all very wet!

OTL picked us up and was crying as they had emptied his wallet!

Mind you, we looked OK!

Us looking good and not really posing!
Just to make him feel better, we demanded a walk in the New Park 'cos we were half way there and it was better than The Sea Wall!

We had a good time with OTL throwing a ball for me and Holly found a really good sniff, so she rolled in it, just to get rid of the stuff they sprayed on us at the Parlour!

Getting rid of Sniffs!
Further around the park there was some really good sniffs being blown on the wind, so Holly and I spent some time sampling the sniff through the fence!

Mmmm, Sniffs!
We wandered around the field and in the end decided it was the cattle that were making so much sniff!

Holly said that if we managed to get a roll in the sniff, would OTL think we sniffed better?

I don't think so!

Big Sniff Makers!
Back home TM had got back and was cooking dinner, so with a bit of luck we will be able to do some serious mugging!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Day of Wet & Soggy Doggy's!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

What a day! We were hoping that the sun was going to shine and we would be dancing along The Sea Wall and frolicking in the sand!

What happened?

It was cloudy and when we got there it started to rain and by the time we got back to the car we were all Wet and Soggy! The ferrets were just as wet and Old Two Legs coat had changed colour because of the amount of rain that had landed on him!

Back home we got a good rub down with our Doggy Towel followed by some freshly cooked chicken!

Where next? To bed for a snooze while OTL gets out his camera stuff he is taking away with him.

He spent some time checking it all and cleaning the cameras and lenses.

There is one lens he is sneaking in and that is the 'Fish Eye' 10.5mm f/2.8! He says he plans to try some 'Dark Sky' pictures which, with the help of Photoshop, he will add some Ethereal Effects!

Oh No! Not the 'Ethereal's' again! Do you think he can be cured by a good dose of worming pills?

Because of the amount of rain that fell out of the sky, OTL left the camera in the car, so no pictures of us 'Frolicking' today!

It was the same at lunchtime, we headed off in the dry and when we arrived, it was raining!

So, sorry for the lack of photos but we will try to do better tomorrow!

OTL has told us that we are going to get our 'Shampoo & Set' to get us ready for the holidays, TM is getting her hair done as well. OTL said that TM is lucky 'cos she can leave her hair at the hairdressers and pick it up later after she has done her shopping!

OTL is also going to have a haircut and beard trim, but he does it all himself with the aid of two mirrors and a sprained neck!

Mr Brambles says that he likes OTL's beard when it has grown a bit 'cos he can snuggle up to it and it tickles his nose!

Miss Snowflake says that it is nice and warm on a windy day and she likes to snuggle into it as well!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
