Where did the sun go?

Hi Woofers!

We're back, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

What a day!

We were a bit lazy this morning and didn't wake Old Two Legs up until six thirty! Lucky lad had an extra fifteen minutes in bed!

Mind you, the weather wasn't the sunny morning we were expecting, instead it was all grey and misty and wet!

Old Two Legs was complaining about the camera not liking the dull weather and slowing the shutter speeds!

I can see it won't be long before he gets the big camera out 'cos it handles low light very well!

We went rushing off to see the rabbits but they were back in their warm burrows!

No Bunny's here!
The ferrets weren't too happy about the misty rain that was falling down and making everyone wet and damp!

You know. we didn't even go on the beach 'cos OTL said we should really be in the warm!

This just Too Wet!
At the first chance Miss Snowflake was trying to get up OTL's leg and back in the bag but OTL said that if we were all in the wet then so should she!

Snowflake didn't think that was a good idea, so she showed off!

I wanna get back in The bag!
There was a curlew on the beach having a poke around in the mud looking for some breakfast, so we left him to it and headed back to the car!

Anyone for breakfast?
Our Crop Circle display of sea shells had gone. Holly said that the UFO came back and 'cos it didn't get an answer it decided to try another planet!

OTL said that maybe when the weather gets better we could all try our paws at making a 'Shell Circle' of our own!

It's Gone!
Heading back to the car a flock of geese flew over and Holly said that instead of Doggy Scoff, could she try a goose, roasted?

OTL said 'Yes' but only if you can catch one!

Back to Doggy Scoff!
Now, we took a peek and Michael's blog and was most impressed with the pictures of the poppies at the Tower of London.

Putting aside the reason and the stories behind it all, we think they look super!

Michaels Blog

OK, OTL is still working away on the bathroom floor and is bitching about the pain in his knees!

I know it will be finished but not in time for The Missus to come back home to tomorrow. Maybe if she stayed away until Saturday, it may be finished.

Mind you, if she stayed away until Saturday we would have to put up with another Doggy Scoff dinner before she gets back, mmmmm!

Decisions, decisions!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

OTL The Builder!

Hi Woofers!

Guess Who? Yep! It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Are we late tonight! This blog normally gets going about four thirty but today we have all been very busy!

It started this morning with an early run along the Sea Wall and onto the beach. The sun was out and it was hard to believe that we are just a few days away from November when we expect there to be loads of cold days and nights and frosts and stuff like that!

I just Love a Sunny Morning!
Both Brambles and Snowflake tried to get back in the ferret bag after Old Two Legs had emptied them onto the beach!

Come on, it's my turn in the bag!
OTL was having none of it and made them both walk all the way back to the car!

These are big pebbles!
One thing we did spot was the sea shells, someone had re arranged them into a spiral circle!

Holly reckons that it is a bit like the 'Crop Circles' only done with sea shells!

A Message from the Stars?
Did you notice how all the hinge parts of the shells are pointing towards the centre?

Strange or wot?

Back home and OTL was sawing and screwing the floor boards in the bathroom and all the time complaining about having to crawl around on his knees!

Still, by lunchtime he had the boards down and was ready to start with the tiles.

We suggested that a run along the beach would be a good idea, just to help get him set up for the afternoons work!

Winter Sun?
Along the Sea Wall it was warm and sunny, and, well, if you didn't know it was October, I'd have thought it was early September!

If it keeps this up I can see me having a swim on Christmas Day without getting cold!

This afternoon OTL has been putting the tiles down and making a good job of it as well, even if he is a bit slow!

So, by the time he finished it was just gone five and both Holly and I were getting a little hungry, so OTL stopped work and cooked up our Lambs Heart, complete with a bit of gravy from the bottom of the pan!

It was great!

So, we are a bit late 'cos after all that, OTL had to cook his dinner, Pizza!

He does know how to live!

Not sure what tomorrow will bring, maybe another curry, unless he can find where The Missus hid the steaks!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Busy Watching OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Us here, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It has been a Busy Busy Day today, well, not for us woofers but Old Two Legs has been going around in circles again!

We set off this morning for our walk. The sun was up and it was quite warm. Holly and I got a sniff of some rabbits and we were off!

I See Them! I See Them!
I was in front doing my 'War Cry' and Holly was steaming up behind me woofing like crazy!

Then the rabbits disappeared down the hole and we never saw them again!

Miss Snowflake was getting in trouble, again, and very nearly came to a wet end!

Oh Gawd! Not Again!
It was a good job Old Two Legs was there to rescue her!

On the way back Holly and I went off in search of rabbits again and I sort of got carried away. OTL and the ferrets headed for the car and Holly chased after them leaving me behind not knowing they had all gone.

OTL and the ferrets were getting close to the car when Holly thought it would be a good idea if I was appraised of the situation. So, she turned around, ran back and woofed at me to get my tail in gear or I'll be walking home!

It was a good job she did 'cos just as we came running around the corner, there was OTL heading back for the 'Final Warning'!

We got home and OTL was sitting down working out what he needs for the flooring in the bathroom. You see, the 'Emergency Plumber' sent by the insurance company, two days after being notified that we had the Niagara Falls pouring through our ceiling. I wonder when he would have arrived if we said it was just a drip!

Anyway, the plumber ripped up the flooring OTL had put down before and made a bit of a mess of the bathroom floor!

So, with calculator in hand and Wickes Web Page on the laptop, he was working out square metres of stuff.

We left him to it!

Then he left us at home and headed off to town to buy the stuff he had put into the square metres, or something like that!

He was crying again, so that means he has had to dip into his wallet, again!

Painful!

To help him get over it, we took him out for a walk on the beach. The tide was in so I found a stick, threw it at him and then jumped up and down woofing for him to throw the stick!

Throw It! Throw It! Throw That Blooming Stick, NOW!
He did and I had a great time swimming back and forth with the stick in my mouth!

There comes a time when we have to get back in the car and that means I have to dry off a bit. It's a two stage drying process, first of all I have to wring myself out!

Wringing Daisy Out!
Stage two is back in the car, OTL gets the towel out and gives me a good rub down to get even more water off and finally I cuddle up in the towel and OTL puts the heated seat on for me!

By the time we get home I'm almost dry!

Back home OTL has been measuring and sawing and cutting and mumbling to himself, so we keep out of the way!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Back to Real Time Again!

Hello Woofers!

It's us, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you again!

Now, paws up all those who didn't put their clocks back last night?

Yes, we thought so, there is always one who forgets!

We have those automatic, radio controlled clocks that go back automatically, so we're OK!

Except for the clock in the car and an old analogue clock that The Missus keeps on the kitchen wall.

She only keeps it 'cos the colour matches the toaster, deep red!

The ferrets are glad to be back to real time 'cos they wake up when the sun comes up, or when Old Two Legs turns on the office light. Getting up with the sun is OK but the office light is a real shocker!

Now that real time is back, they get up with the sun and Miss Snowflake isn't so grumpy in the morning!

On our morning walk, Miss Snowflake fell out of the ferret bag onto the beach and rushed off down to the waters edge for a wee, trouble was, she stepped into the mud and ended up with a muddy tail and a muddy butt!

This feels a bit soggy!
Poor Miss Snowflake, there she was trying to look her best and she ends up with a 'Grubby Butt'

No, it's not Funny!
We all had a snigger but was glad it was her and not us!

Mind you, Holly had a Grubby Butt as well, so when we got back to the car OTL had his work cut out cleaning both Holly and Snowflake!

We had a lazy morning 'cos it is Sunday and that's what Sundays are for!

OTL was playing about of the computer trying to find the materials to re do the bathroom floor after the plumber had ripped it all up searching for that leak!

We left him to it 'cos it looked all very technical!

Lunch time we were out along the Sea Wall again and came across this.

Now, is it the number six?

Number 6?
Turn it anti clockwise once and it could be a snail, or, if you turn it again, it could be the number nine and turn it once more and you have a whizzy looking Wheelchair!

There, on the other paw, it could just be pretty pattern!

Ever decreasing circles!

Tonight it looks like Doggy Scoff for us and OTL has been searching the freezer for something to cook and has pulled out a couple of TM's 'Home Made Burgers' which are a little dangerous 'cos you never know what she puts in them!

These look 'Meaty' with some other stuff we are not sure, but OTL gets first taste and if he doesn't fall off the chair clutching his throat or stomach, we will have a little mug!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Lazy Saturday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

We had a great evening last night, Holly and I were on the sofa eating one of our chews and singing 'Cat Hunting' songs!

Old Two Legs said that they were rude songs and we shouldn't sing so loud!

That made us sing even louder!

Well, any songs about cats just has to be rude, I mean, they deserve it!

We had a good sleep as well 'cos we managed to take over The Missus's side of the bed and stretch out and we got a good, undisturbed, sleep.

No snoring!

We were up early and down the beach for a run. Mr Brambles had fun climbing over the rocks and saying that he wouldn't fall into the mud, unlike Miss Snowflake!

Look! I'm Dry!
We climbed up the hill to the path and Mr Brambles kept creeping up behind us and calling out 'WOOF'!

Silly Ferret!

Watch out! He's creeping up again!
I dived off the side and was having a sniff when Miss Snowflake crept up behind me, under the grass!

Sneaky Sneaky Catch a Woofer!
That Snowflake can be very sneaky sometimes!

Back home OTL went up into the loft and was fiddling about with boxes and making up bits of stuff, mostly boring stuff!

Well, it keeps him busy!

Lunchtime we were out again and the tide was right in!

We got down on the beach and spotted a fisherman throwing worms into the sea. I rushed over and told him to 'Get out the sarnies' 'cos Holly was coming!

Oi! Get out your sarnies!
The greedy fisherman had eaten his sarnies so poor Holly Dog had to go hungry!

Up the path a bit, we spotted a goose, Holly reckoned it was tasty looking and set off to find out if it tasted like chicken!

Holly was just not fast enough and the good flew off to the sea! I dived in the water but OTL called me back and said that the 'Brent Goose' was a 'Protected Bird' and we couldn't eat it!

No! You can't eat it!
Spoil Sport!

Further along the Sea Wall we came across another fisherman who was sort of singing. Well, that's what it sounded like to us!

Here Fishy Fishy, Hop Upon My Dishy!
You meet some strange Two Legs on a Saturday!

I had a splash about in the water and played 'Fetch' with a stick that I ended up chewing to bits!

OK, I got the stick again!
Up on the Sea Wall there was another Bozo Two Legs with a camera, I don't know what it is but he was taking pictures of the sea, I mean, it's flat and wet! What more do you want to know!

Look! Water and it's Flat you Bozo!
Back home we had a snooze and I rolled around on the bed, just to dry off!

Tonight OTL is planning to have a Meat Pie and Chips and we have got Lambs Heart!

After we may have another sing song and this time we could try some songs about Bozo Labradors!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

High Diving Snowflake!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here to see you!

Now, first of all I got to say sorry 'cos this morning I was fiddling with the blog and managed to wipe out yesterdays blog!

Claw Trouble!

Still, today has been great fun. We were up early 'cos The Missus was crashing about downstairs packing all her Glue and Glitter ready for her week 'Baby Sitting' up in Coventry!

She even woke up the ferrets and they made such a noise 'cos they thought their milk was being served!

We headed off to the beach after the ferrets finally off finished their milk!

Miss Snowflake wanted to explore the rocks again and this time there was more water than yesterday and it wasn't long before she managed to get lost!

Hang on, how do I get down?
Snowflake was getting in a panic and started to call for help!

Help! I'm slipping off!
That was it, we heard her calling and we sped off down the beach, 'Puppies To The Rescue'!

Here come The Puppies!
Unfortunately, we just weren't quick enough and just as we arrived........

I'm falling!
Poor Miss Snowflake landed on her butt and got mud all over her tail as well! She was not a Happy Ferret!

She did her 'Pick Me Up Daddy' and spent some time cuddled up in his arm, wiping the mud off onto OTL's coat!

Back home we waved TM bye bye and settled down for a snooze while OTL did some more work!

Lunchtime we were back again and the tide was in, so, you know what that means!

Periscope Up!
It was great fun and I managed to get loads of swims off almost all the beach from the fence all the way to the Sea Wall!

When we got to the Sea Wall there were a couple of old Woofers enjoying a paddle in the water. Holly was most interested 'cos they were both wearing Life Jackets' and we had never seen doggy life jackets before!

Yes, it's just in case we get out of breath!
After the walk we had to go into town to deliver some stuff so OTL wrapped me up in our Doggy Towel and I lay on the front seat while he switched on the 'Heated Seat' thingy.

It was sooo warm and comfortable that I fell asleep and by the time we got home, I was dry again!

So, we are now back home and OTL is rummaging through the fridge looking for tonight's meal, Holly did suggest he try Doggy Scoff but that didn't go down too well!

See you all tomorrow!

Have a good weekend!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake (with a mucky butt) and Mr Brambles!

Five Years Old Today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here and It's Our Birthday today, well Holly and Me, not Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Wot a day! We had a really super bowl full of Chuck Steak, slow cooked, for our breakfast and The Missus says there is some left for tomorrow!

We got Old Two Legs to sign us 'Happy Birthday' before he really woke up this morning and the ferrets joined in the chorus as well!

When we were out on our walk there were woofers all over the place calling out 'Happy Birthday' and one Bozo Labrador, who was lost, ran around the bushes four times, calling out 'Happy Birthday' each time until his owner came to fetch him!

Happy Birthday, Again and Again and Again and Again!
Holly said 'Thank You' but whispered 'Wot a Bozo!'

Down on the beach we had a great time chasing each other all over the place and we even found some smelly's to roll in and we were too far away from OTL for him to stop us!

Hey! There's another Smelly here!
OTL was back down the beach untangling Mr Brambles from his lead 'cos he got tangled up by rolling around in the ferret bag.

Once he had been sorted out, we couldn't see Miss Snowflake anywhere, then we spotted her creeping up behind OTL!

OK, I'm getting back in the bag again!
Sneaky Ferret or Wot!

You know she tried the same trick as yesterday but as it was a bit warmed today she was tempted out onto the ground and she had a good run down the hill!

Back home, after our steak breakfast, we had a good long snooze and woke up in time for our lunchtime walk.

OTL said we could choose where we went at lunchtime, so I said I wanted to go back to the New Park but Holly said she was bored with that idea 'cos all I was interested in was swimming, which was right!

So, instead we headed off to The Forest to see the squirrels and the Heeland Coos!

We said hello to the coos and they wished us a Happy Birthday and off we went to see what sniffs we could find!

No sniffs but it looks 'Woody'!
I soon found that the piles of leaves everywhere that were great for running in and they also hid some interesting sniffs!

Ooooh! There's a new sniff!
Of course, we were both looking for the squirrels 'cos they should be scurrying around looking for nuts!

Sssh! I think there's one over there behind the tree!
We saw a few but they were either too far away or too high in the trees for us to get them!

How on earth do you get up that high?
We were walking back to the car when we both heard a small voice singing 'Happy Birthday' to us.

We just couldn't see who it was, that was until OTL spotted our mystery singer!

'appy Birthday to you, 'appy Birthday to Yoooo!
Holly said 'Thank You' to Mr Spider and we headed off to the Doggy Shop where OTL said we could choose our presents and I chose a few packs of Chicken Fillets and Holly chose a couple of bones and OTL chose Teeth Cleaning Chews!

So, tonight we are looking forward to mugging OTL for some of his dinner, well, you have got have a go!

See you all tomorrow and we will be five years and one day old!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

The Storm is Coming!

Hello Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake an Mr Brambles!

Here in Sunny North Kent the clouds are gathering and the wind is getting up!

That storm they had over in the U.S.A. is heading our way and already the signs are that we are in for some wet weather!

All today Old Two Legs has been getting messages from Calmac, the Scottish Ferry people telling him that the Lochaline to Fishnish ferry has been stopped from sailing due to the high winds!

The Lochaline to Fishnish ferry is the one we use to get over to the Isle of Mull but today we don't plan to go to the Isle of Mull, so we're OK!

Mind you, when we got to the beach it was all dark clouds and some drops of rain!

Stormy Old Weather!
We were not sure but both Mr Brambles and Miss Snowflake were trying to get back into the ferret bag as soon as OTL got them out on the beach!

Mr B, after a little while, decided that he would brave the rain but Miss Snowflake just wanted to cuddle up to OTL and stayed snuggled up in his arm, that was until she wanted a wee, then she scrabbled to get down, got put down, had a wee, then scrabbled up OTL's leg as far as she could go asking to be picked up again!

OTL relented, not being sure if she was scared or unwell or knew something we didn't! So, for most of the walk she was getting a cuddle, that was until the last bit when she asked to get down, had a wash in the wet grass, sniffed a few sniffs and chased Mr B to give his ear a lick!

Just to be on the safe side, OTL checked the ferret poo carefully when he was cleaning out their poo trays 'cos you can tell a lot by the state of their poo. When Mr B got a dose of ECE, his poo was almost bright neon green and sniffed terrible!

Talking of ECE, it's stopped a lot of Ferret Shows in the UK and can be easily passed from one ferret to the next be contact or in the air or even by the handler at the show. That's how we think Mr B picked up his virus and he had to have a course of injections which cost OTL his 'Beer Money' for the week!

So, poo tray inspected and found to be 'Normal', so we reckon Miss S was just pulling a flanker and decided that a cuddle was better than a walk in the wet grass!

Back home it was 'Snoozy Time' especially as all we had to eat was 'Doggy Scoff', I mean, it's just not right feeding us that stuff, it's YUK!

Lunchtime it was still 'on and off' rain and when we went to the sea wall we saw a rain cloud pass over the Thames Estuary.

Looks wet over there!
There was one Bozo of a Two Legs who was looking at the mud while balancing on a rock. Holly and I were woofing him to 'Jump'!

But he didn't!

Go On Bozo, JUMP!
OTL told us to 'Behave' and had a walk on the sand and the beach. He tried to tell us that a big storm was coming and we had better get under the sea wall, so we did, but soon saw that we were being fooled 'cos the sky wasn't cloudy where we were!

Is it raining yet!
We have been looking at the records OTL keeps on his computer and we have found out that Holly an me are four years, three hundred and sixty four days old!

We know that 'cos tomorrow is our birthday and we will be five years old!

OTL said he would take us up to the Doggy Shop and we can choose our birthday present!

Roll on Tomorrow!

Bye bye for now,

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

I get Wet and Meet a Gruffalo and Mr Brambles goes Indian!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Wot a day we have had, first of all, we were up late, not too late but late enough not to see any rabbits! Holly and I hunted all over the place but they had all gone back to bed!

Not a Rabbit to be seen!
When we got down to the beach, almost all of the birds had flown off as well, except one gull that was flying over the top of us and calling out 'Hello Girls!'

Hello Girls!
Mr Brambles had the pickle in him today and set about chasing Miss Snowflake up and down the beach and every time she turned around to tell him to 'Clear Off!' he would roll on his back and say 'Tickle me Tummy Mummy!'

In the end even Snowflake was laughing!

Then he found a feather and stuck it in his harness and said he was a red Indian!

Me Indian!
He said that his Great, Great, Great Uncle Droopy Tail was one of the 'Brown Butt' tribe and he was the leader of the hunting pack that went out each day and caught food for the tribe!

Then he demonstrated how to crawl along the rocky hills in search of game!

Big Chief Brambles!
Back home Holly got her medicine squirted down her throat again, that Old Two Legs id getting too good at that!

After breakfast we headed off to the dump with a load of stuff which took ages to unload 'cos OTL had to put different bits in different bins!

By the time he had finished it was time for our midday walk and as we were so close, we went to the New Park again!

We hadn't been there for ages, so it was fun sorting out the new sniffs!

So much space, So many Sniffs!
Holly and I did a poo as soon as possible so we could concentrate on the sniff count but a really Dopey Bozo of a Labrador came up to and just sat in front of OTL looking at the Poo Bags thinking OTL had something for him to eat!

Just how dopey can you get!

Is That Food?
We had fun jumping onto the seats and woofing at the cattle in the fields, they didn't take any notice of us but I suppose they must get bored with all the woofers that use the park each day!

OTL was taking photos of us on the seat and Holly did a pose and said ' Don't Say A Word!'

Then we all fell about laughing 'cos we all know the answer!

Don't even think it!
I remembered where the swimming hole was and ran ahead to get in first. When I got there it was empty of woofers, so in I went and I even got Holly to have a paddle! OTL came along and he threw the ball in and I swam to get it back!

OK, Next time You swim out for it!
The trouble with tennis balls is they are just too big for my mouth and in the end it drifted off to the centre of the swimming hole and OTL called me back and told me to 'Leave it Alone'

Shame but there's always next time!

Off we went along the path to the car and OTL had to put our leads on 'cos we were in a 'Controlled Zone', soppy idea but we still had to have our lead on.

It was as OTL clipped the lead onto my collar that I spotted it!

I stopped!

Holly tried to walk ahead and OTL tried to drag me along.

I wasn't having any of it!

There was a big nasty dangerous looking thing up near the Poo Bin!

'Come on' says OTL 'There's nothing there'

Oh Yes There Is, I could see it!

I don't care, I don't like it, I don't trust it and I'm not moving!
It took a bit of pulling and pushing and walking on the other side of the path but in the end we got past it!

Monster's R Us!
Back home for a rub down with the Doggy Towel and a snooze until dinner time!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!
