Forest Fungi, Galloping Woofers and Scary Cat Brambles!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Wot a Friday!

We were out good and early 'cos Holly got Old Two Legs up at two thirty this morning 'cos she still had a Grumbly Tummy. That means we didn't get back to sleep and The Missus joined in by tossing and turning so much she kicked both Holly and me off the bed!

Well, there was nothing left but to get up earlier than normal!

When we got to the Rabbit Field, Holly said that she could see a load of Galloping Woofers!

Look! Galloping Woofers!
It was raining, but not too much, so with out coats on we headed for The Beach!

OK, but I'm not going in for a swim!
Mr Brambles said that as the ferrets didn't have rain coats they should get a 'Carry' from the Woofers!

Gissa Lift Miss?
Holly was trying to negotiate a fee for Ferret Carrying when Miss Snowflake noticed that OTL had crouched down to re tie his boot lace and quick as a flash, both ferrets climbed back into the bag!

Move over, I'm here!
Of course, a bit further on OTL emptied both ferrets out with the instruction to 'Get Out and Walk!'

Mr Brambles headed for the wet grass for a morning wash while Snowflake started to show off 'cos she wanted to get back in the bag!

I'm not going to forget this!
Back home for a game with Holly and then I got to go up in the loft with OTL for a sniff to see if there was anything new!

Lunchtime we were off to do some deliveries and then, 'The Forest'! OTL reckoned that there should be some more fungi showing so he took his Macro Lens to see what he could find.

First off there was a Puff Ball that if you touched the ball, then a puff of smoke came out of the hole in the top!

OTL said it wasn't smoke, instead it was spores, or fungi seeds!

A Puffing Puff Ball!
Holly and I met up with a couple of Two Legs that were out for a walk in the forest and Holly said that she could sniff sarnies, so we tried to mug them but they wouldn't give us anything at all!

Go on, just a little nibble of your sarnie!
OTL was busy snapping away at every bit of fungi he could see. We have seen all the fungi before, so nothing new came up but they had become more numerous!

More fungi under the logs.
Holly and I were more interested in the squirrels and we spent so much time watching the trees that we both ended up with sore necks!

Why won't they come down to play?
Back home, the Whizz Bangs started again and Holly and I ended up in OTL's office tucked under a couple of fleeces and with the TV volume turned up so it drowned out the noise of the Whizz Bangs. It didn't get rid of the noise but it helped!

So, here we are, under the desk hiding away from those Whizz Bangs, roll on tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

And Back Comes The Sun!

Hi Woofers!

It's us, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Holly Dog spent all yesterday evening cuddled up to Old Two Legs on the sofa, she was woofing and shivering almost all evening! In the end she settled down and then spent all night cuddled up to OTL on the bed, no room for me!

This morning when we went out the sun was shining and the sky was clear of clouds. OTL took one of his 'Sun Pictures' which has the makings of an 'Ethereal'!

Almost an Ethereal!
Miss Snowflake couldn't care about Ethereal's, she just headed for the ferret bag!

That bag's calling me!
OTL said that she had to get some exercise and he emptied her out onto the sand where she chased after OTL trying to get back in the bag! By the time she had got up the Rock Wall she was almost worn out!

I'm getting too old for this!
Mr Brambles was investigating the way the tide had washed all the cockle shells up the beach and into wall near the top of the tide mark.

Now this is an interesting phenomena!
Holly still had a Grumbly Tum and when we got back to the car she got her butt washed down with the hand wipes OTL  keeps in the car for such occasions!

But as Holly said, 'It's a good thing that the Grumbles have got to the Back Door' at least I will feel better!

Yeah, right!

Lunchtime we were expecting to get down to The Forest again but the stuff OTL was waiting for didn't turn up, so it was back to the Sea Wall again!

OTL spotted a Hover Fly enjoying his lunch!

Hovering over Lunch!
Then there was the small fungi in the grass.

This was here last year!
Holly was feeling much better and kept calling back to OTL, 'Look! I've got a Clean Butt!'

Clean Butt!
Near to the car park, we came across a Two Legs eating his lunch, so Holly tried the old 'Gissa Taste Mate?'

That didn't work, so she warned him that if she didn't get a sarnie she would 'Sort Him Out', that didn't work either!

Gissa Sarnie or your Dead!
You just can't reason with some people!

With a bit of luck there should be no more Whizz Bangs tonight, Saturday maybe, but tonight we should have a 'Happy Holly' and I might get to have a cuddle with OTL for a change!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Another wet Day!

Hi Woofers,

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Last night it was another of those 'Whizz Bang' nights when the local Bozo's were playing with their fireworks and of course, the louder the noise the more they enjoy it, but not for Holly. She hates them and we reckon she must have had a bad experience when she was a little puppy 'cos she hears a Whizz Bang, she woofs at it and then spends the rest of the night cuddled up in Old Two Legs arms shivering with fright!

I wish they would take all their Whizz Bangs and let them off in one place, (miles away), on one night, (like 5th Nov?) and make it illegal to let them off on the streets or in a public place!

Can't see that happening but I wonder how many of the Bozo's know how much distress these Whizz Bangs cause us!

And I even include Pussy Cats in that as well!

Tonight it is going to be more cuddles and strokes for Holly!

Today it has been 'Interesting' for us. Well, you see our normal parking place has been blocked off since the beginning of this week, 'Resurfacing the road' is the excuse and OTL has been having trouble giving us our normal walk. We have tried Tip Toeing through the Bull Poo, OK but not to be repeated. We've tried galloping around the field behind our house, OK but boring. Today OTL went back to our normal place and parked in one of the side streets and then guided us to the Sea Wall by a strange new path.

The ferrets were a bit unsure until we got to the normal path. Holly and I were a bit put out 'cos we couldn't spend more time investigating the new sniffs on this new bit of path.

Not to worry though, we got to our normal path and we all settled down to our normal sniffing and weeing and pooing and ferreting about!

We were even visited by Fred the Black Headed Gull who we haven't heard from all summer. He said he had been up stream a bit and enjoying time with his family on the big rubbish tip on the Essex side of the Thames!

Wotcha Girlie's!
Then he told us about the Mary Celeste that had been spotted out to sea by some of his mates. We said we would keep an eye open, just in case it passed close by.

Well, blow me down, didn't the mist clear a little bit and what did we see? There, coming out of the morning mist was the Mary Celeste sailing along, against the wind and with no sails up!

Scary or wot!

Mary Celeste Again!
Holly said it was getting just too much for her, Whizz Bangs and now Ghost Ships!

The ferrets had a game on the beach and it started to rain, so we all headed back towards the car. Miss Snowflake was complaining that the steps had grown a bit or she has shrunk in the rain the other day!

This is getting too difficult!
Back home it was Lambs Heart for breakfast, which I shovelled down as quickly as possible but Holly said she had a Grumbly Tum and decided to leave it for later. Then she curled up under a fleece and spent the morning snoozing.

Lunchtime we were out again, but not for too long, we left home and the rain wasn't falling, we get to the parking place we used this morning and the rain was pouring down! OTL got our rain coats out and put them on us. Then, leaving his camera in the car we headed off down the path again. Holly wasn't too impressed with the rain and after we had 'Done our Business' we both headed back to the car, with OTL running up behind!

That was it, back home to a second rub down with our towel and back to the fleece and our cushions for an afternoon snooze.

Holly is still looking a bit glum but the thought of lots of rain falling down will possibly keep the Whizz Bangs indoors has cheered her up a little!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

TM's Off The Prezzy List!

 Hello Woofers!

We are here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We couldn't go to our normal beach this morning 'cos they are digging it all up and resurfacing the tarmac surface, so, OTL takes us to our local field and would have taken us to the beach, but there was a big herd of cattle blocking our way!

Well if it's not one thing then it's another!

Still, we saw the Power Station and the Gas Storage Tanks from a different angle!

Is that Grain I see before me?
We were all having fun on the new marshes, mainly because it is covered with Bull Poo! I won't tell you what Old Two Legs called it 'cos it's rude!

The ferrets had fun sniffing the new sniffs 'cos they hadn't come across Bull Poo before and they kept calling out to us all to 'Watch Out, There's a Pile over here!'

Just spotted another pile!
Miss Snowflake just wanted to get back in the bag 'cos as she said, 'All this stuff makes me scared'!

I have decided I don't like this!
Holly and I were having a great time, we ran all over the place trying to kick up some rabbits but I think that the cattle had scared them all off!

So, Holly and I had another game, we ran as fast as we could and the trick was not to step in the Bull Poo!

Tip Toe Thru The Bull Poo, Thru The Bull Poo, Won't you follow me!
I won, well, I didn't step into any until the last moment when Holly stopped suddenly and called out, 'Look, Rabbit Poo!'

Actually, it was Bull Poo that was well past it's 'Done Date'!

Mind The Poo!
We got back home and both Holly and I were a bit hungry. The Missus said she was going down to the butchers to get our Ox Heart and cook it up for us.

Now we were a bit puzzled 'cos she normally has to order it first before picking it up, but off she went in the car into the next village to get our meal.

Holly and I sat by the window waiting for her to return and our tummies were rumbling away as though they were about to fall out!

Then we saw TM come back and we woofed and jumped about 'cos we were so excited about having OX HEART!

TM came in and we followed her to the kitchen where she got out a tin of Doggy Scoff and put that in our food bowl!!!!!!!!

Doggy Scoff?????? What happened to the Ox Heart?

Holly said that it was a good job that we aren't on Face Book 'cos if we were we would 'De Friend' here straight away!

Still, OTL is still our friend and at lunchtime he took us to The Forest where we had a good run around chasing squirrels!

Oh yes, he was running around chasing Fungi!

A Bracket Fungi on a Silver Birch branch.
Then he found some small Parasol type of fungi that was growing right at the bottom of an old stump.

A Parasol Fungi.
I was on the lookout for squirrels 'cos Holly said that you could roast them over a fire and they tasted just like chicken!

Just Like Chicken?
OTL has started to look at Moss's now, you'd think he would be happy with just the fungi!

Still, it keeps him quiet!

Greeny Type of Moss!
Then he found another that a week or so ago he thought might have been fungi but now he has identified it as Moss Flowers!

Moss Flowers?
As Holly says, 'You won't get many Bees on those flowers!'

There was a real damp sniff in the air today, so we reckon that it's going to get a bit colder and Autumn is going to arrive very soon!

I mean, just look at this tree!

Autumnal Reflections!
OK, I know it's a bit naff but what do you expect from two poor starving puppies?

Got any Sarnies?

See you all tomorrow, the Whizz Bangs have started and Holly is throwing a Wobbler!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

What a Wet One!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Last night Miss Holly Dog was all upset again and spent most of the evening cuddles up to Old Two Legs on his chair, I was there too, that was until the shortbread ran out, then I headed off to the office for a snooze while OTL watched the F1 Racing.

The Missus was whacked out after her day of demo's and chatting and she fell asleep on the sofa!

Then the Whizz Bangs started and Holly stayed cuddled up with OTL who had turned the volume up on the TV to help drown out the Whizz Bangs!

Finally we all got to bed and Holly stayed cuddled up to OTL all night, there was no room for me at all, so I stayed on my cushion and chewed my Rawhide Chew!

This morning we went out for a walk and OTL forgot the camera, which in hind sight, was a good thing 'cos when we got to the beach it started to rain and it got heaver the closer we got to the car!

We were all running back and even the ferrets didn't hang about too much!

In the car, OTL dried off the ferrets first and then gave Holly and me a good rub down as well.

There was a small problem, OTL was standing at the back of the car drying us off but the rain was blowing the rain straight onto OTL's back. Now normally that wouldn't be a problem but today he didn't have his waterproof trousers on and ended up having to drive home with a soggy butt!

Mind you, he did have the heated seat on full blast!

Holly and I decided that it was best if we stayed under our covers for the morning and enjoy a warm snooze!

Safe & Warm in OTL's Office!
The only person working was OTL, everyone else was asleep!

Lunchtime comes and we all pretend we are still asleep 'cos we can hear the wind and the rain beating on the windows!

Holly had an urgent need to chase some pigeons that had landed in the garden but after taking two steps outside the kitchen door, turn a full one hundred and eighty degrees and shot back inside!

About one thirty, OTL announces that we are going out for a walk, not too sure about that but we play along with him. We were sure he knew something we didn't 'cos it was pouring down when we went out the front door!

When we arrived at the turning off to the car park, it had notices saying that the road was closed for 'Resurfacing'!

Well, that was it, rain and resurfacing!

Back home we went and landed up in the playing field behind our house where it was still wet but not raining!

It really wasn't the ideal place for a walk, all muddy like!

I asked if we could go home now.

Can I do a wee in the garden?
Holly pointed out the path leading back home.

Look! I can see a quick way home!
But OTL insisted on walking us all the way around the park, so we did a couple of wee's, just to keep him happy.

Holly even asked if OTL could climb up the tree and get a couple of the big cones so we could chase after them, in the direction of home!

Honking Great Cones!
When we finally got in, both Holly and I headed back to our sleeping places and returned to our well earned snooze!

This is the place to be, we can wee later!
So, not too sure what OTL has got for dinner tonight but we hope it will be 'Muggable'!

See you tomorrow, if the rain keeps off!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Wet Sunday with OTL.

Hello Woofers!

Us back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, today The Missus got us up before the dawn even got out of bed! She wanted Old Two Legs to give her a lift to a pickup point, leaving home at six forty five!

We decided to stay in bed until he got back, I mean, sitting in a car is OK if your going somewhere but just to go into town and back again? No Thanks!

Mind you, we didn't have a good night 'cos some Bozo's were letting off Whizz Bangs locally to us and Holly got all upset. So, learning from last year, we all had to go to bed, together, at eight thirty!

Holly cuddles up to OTL and gets off to sleep and managed to stop shivering!

So, early morning are just for OTL & TM us and the ferrets stayed in bed!

When OTL got back we all headed off to the beach, it was dripping with rain and we all got wet, the ferrets us and OTL!

Back home OTL was busy clipping the ferrets claws and cleaning out their house.

Holly and I got a dry using our own towel then OTL gave us a brush and our monthly dose of anti flea stuff. Then it was a lazy day watching the F1 qualifying and OTL decided to watch the recordings of Game of Thrones, which TM hates!

Lunchtime we went out again and as soon as we got onto the Sea Wall, it started to rain again!

We cut the walk short and headed back home again but not before OTL spotted a fungi on the foot path!

Rubbish Photo!
We all reckon that Brambles could have done better with one paw behind his back!

OTL got the call to pick up TM from town and off he went, leaving us snoozing the evening away!

So, we are looking forward to the F1 Racing tonight, starting at seven and claws crossed for no Whizz Bangs, especially as it is pouring with rain at the moment!

See you tomorrow and we are going to let OTL to get his big camera out tonight as the light is disappearing fast down here in North Kent!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A quiet day, until the Postman arrived!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Wot a glorious sunny day it was yesterday! We were hoping that today would be the same but as we walked down to the beach we could feel little drops of rain. Old Two Legs was first to notice the rain 'cos he didn't have his hat on and his bald head is super sensitive to drops of rain!

Miss Snowflake got out of the ferret bag, did a wee and then turned around and spotted OTL had crouched down to tie his shoe lace, as quick as a flash, she was back inside the bag!

I reckon I could get back before he sees!
It didn't last too long 'cos OTL caught her before she could get back in and she spent ten minutes cuddled up in his arm watching us on the beach!

Mr Brambles found some old burnt out Whizz Bangs that some Two Legs had left on the beach after a party last night.

Mr Brambles thought that it was very irresponsible of them to leave all the rubbish on the beach.

There are some really mucky TL around!
I suggested we help by burying them all but OTL said it would take a big hole to get rid of it all!

Well, how about a small hole for a single Whizz Bang?
We carried on along the beach and Miss Snowflake stayed tucked up in OTL's arms until Mr Brambles called out that there were some Bozo Two Legs on bikes and one of them had called out that 'There are Rats on the beach'!

Bozo's on Bikes, Beware!
I mean, rats! Holly reckons that need to visit an optician or maybe get a book on animals, with pictures!

Look! Rats!
Back home The Missus had gone off to her Master Class. OTL dished up our Lambs Heart all chopped up into mouth sized bits, super stuff!

After having a good feed we headed towards our beds for a well earned snooze.

That was until the postman rang our door bell!

Of course, we went into 'Protection Mode' and nearly woofed the roof off!

The Postman, who's name is Richard, handed a load of envelopes to OTL and then said that he had a big envelope for Miss Daisy and Miss Holly!

What?

Us?

WOW!

We opened it and found that Archie Babe had sent us a Christmas Stocking each and some Mini Mouses for the ferrets!

That means we have our own stockings to hang up instead of the smelly socks we pinched off OTL last year!

A Super Big Thank You to Archie Babe and OTL has put them away in his cupboard so they are kept safe until Christmas!

Lunchtime it was really sunny, in fact, so sunny that if the tide had been in Holly said that she might have been tempted to go in for a paddle!

Trouble was, the tide was out!

Tides Out!
We met up with Freddy who had found a way around the tide problem.

Mud? No! There's a big marshy bit up there!
He had found the marshy bit where the cattle have been tramping around and went in for a splodge!

We looked at OTL but all he said was .......'NO'!

Never mind, TM will be home soon and we can show her our Christmas Socks and work our what we can get inside them!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Sorting The Bozo's Out!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Wot a Super Day! Loads of sunshine and some fun as well!

It started off this morning when the ferrets were talking about 'The Big Ferret' who lives up in the clouds and looks after the ferrets that have crossed The Rainbow Bridge.

Holly wanted to know if there was a 'Big Woofer in The Sky' but no one had heard of that one and I thought that we may get lumped in with the Two Legs cos as it is said, we are a TL best friend!

Old Two Legs didn't have and information on the subject and was unsure what happens in the end.

Down on the beach, OTL took a picture and then he started to play around with the Photoshop program he has in his computer and then showed us that there was really a Big Ferret in the sky!

Mind you, it looks a lot like Brambles!

It's The Big Ferret in The Sky!
When the ferrets were on the beach, a woofer arrived on the Sea Wall and was taking too much interest in the ferrets. First he growled then he came down the steps, onto the beach and called out.........

Do they taste like chicken?
That was it, you don't try to mess with our family and think you can get away with it! Both Holly and I gave out our 'War Cry' and went woofing towards him.

Him being a Bozo of the First Order, turn tail and shot up the steps to get away from us!

I was only joking!
That sorted him out, silly woofer, thinking he could get away with that!

It was the same at lunchtime, there we were, having a gentle stroll along the Sea Wall when a couple of male Bichon Frise woofers came bounding up to us doing the old 'Look I'm Big and Butch'.

Well, they got just too close to both Holly and me and when OTL stopped and spoke to their owner we both did the 'Warning Growl' which roughly translated goes something like, 'GetYourSnottyWetNoseFromUnderMyTailOrI'llBiteBothYourLegsOffAndFeedThemToTheGulls!'

Gerroff Bozo!
Their owner got all worried and clipped them both on their leads!

That'll teach them some manners for next time!

Holly and I had a good chuckle after they had been marched off!

Sorted them out!
You don't mess with us and think you can get away with it!

The Missus is playing at Glue & Glitter all week end, so we reckon we will be able to watch the F1 racing without too much interference!

Have a good weekend!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Back comes the sun and The Missus arrives back!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Old Two Legs was up good and early today, firstly to clear up all the carrot crumbs and bits of Dog Chews and Doggy Biscuits we had left all over the lounge carpet and the sofa!

Secondly, he wanted to try to get the bathroom floor finished before The Missus came home!

We headed off to the beach and when Miss Snowflake was poured out of the ferret bag, she said that it better not be raining or she would be straight back in the bag!

If it's raining I'm back in the bag!
Mr Brambles said she was just showing off and lead the way to the shore where he was testing the mud for 'Yuckyness'

Well, it feels a bit Yucky!
OTL was more interested in the little fungi he found on the path. He tried a shot but it wasn't too successful, too little light!

He really must get out the big camera and try again before the fungi goes back to sleep!

A 'Soft Focus Fungi'!
Back home OTL was bashing away at the flooring and at one point it looked like he may finish the floor before TM arrived.

We were standing guard at the bedroom window waiting for the car to turn into the road and when it did Holly and I were woofing like crazy until TM got into the house.

We gave her a good welcome home lick and a cuddle!

OTL was still in trouble 'cos he hadn't finished the bathroom and worse still, he hadn't put the door back on its hinges!

We escaped for a while down on the beach again at lunchtime and OTL spotted one of those bees that were featured on Autumnwatch the other night. So it looks like the bee has reached as far east as the Isle of Grain at least!

From the program we remember it makes its home in a sandy wall. It's just a pity I can't remember the name!

As seen on Autumnwatch!
Of course, I was really interested in this lot, I mean, can it sting me if I have a sniff?

Yes!

My 'Interest Level' drops to zero!

Can we go now?
Later this afternoon OTL finished off the bathroom and even got the door put back!

Then it was back to the office to get some work done before the end of the month!

We have just finished our Lambs Heart and feel like we should be stretching out for a snooze, before OTL gets out the shortbread and nibbles!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
