Sunday with OTL

Hello Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Today The Missus was off to do some demonstrations at the local craft shop, so we were looking forward to some fun with Old Two Legs.

As we got near to The Beach, there was a Rook making a lot of noise and flying all around us!

Holly said that it was interested in the ferrets but reckons that if he got too close Miss Snowflake would be having Rook for dinner!

Gerroff! The Ferrets are Family!

 As soon as he had gone both ferrets were out and ferreting around the rocks and Mr Brambles started digging a hole in the sand!

We looked around and Mr Brambles was nowhere to be seen, then, he poked his head around the corner of the rock!

Bet you didn't see me behind the rocks!

We had some fun digging and sniffing and the ferrets had fun running through the sea shells on the beach!

OTL decided that he would take a 'Selfie'!

 Back home we had the run of the house and while we crashed out on the bed for a snooze, the ferrets did what they did best and of course, Brambles was found with his nose in the biscuit bowl while Miss Snowflake was sticking her nose into OTL's shoes!

Snowflake Sniffing!

OTL cooked up our chicken and it was great to have our chicken all warm and greasy! TM always lets the chicken cool off before giving it to us so it was good to have it all warm and tasty!

Lunchtime we were back down The Beach again and we spotted a Small Tortoiseshell butterfly!

We don't think it hatched this year, more than likely it had hibernated over winter and had come out in the warm weather!

We trotted along the beach looking at the visitors and I headed off towards the shore, Holly on the other paw, she got chatting to a scruffy looking visitor who insisted on walking along with her! That was until his Two Legs called him back!

Holly said he was 'Sweet'!

A Beach Romance

 It wasn't long before I went for a swim! It wasn't too bad 'cos the sun had warmed the water up and it was deep enough to go chasing sticks!

I played with OTL the 'Shaky Game' and even managed to get behind him and cover him with water!

OTL had brought our towel with him so when I got back to the car I got a good rub down!

Back home we had a game of 'Chase the Ball' but it was in the lounge and up and down the stairs!

Great fun especially when the ball went behind the sofa and we both went in at the same time!

TM arrived back and it looks like she had a good day, she was covered in glitter and had ink all over her fingers!

We are off to see what is for dinner!

I Got Soggy Again, I Got Soggy Again!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you!

Wot a super day it's been!

Wonderful sunshine all day, The Missus has been of doing her 'Master Class', Old Two Legs has finished all his 'Paperwork' and I got Soggy!

We started off early 'cos we had to drop TM off at the village Hall.

Down on the path we met up with a couple of the 'Lads' who think OTL is wonderful!

It almost gets embarrassing sometimes!

Hi OTL, So Good To See You!

Down on The Beach the ferrets were intrigued with OTL trying to take 'Ferrets Eye' photographs. As Mr Brambles said, it all looks the same to me!

Just imagine what it would look like if he tried an Ants Eye View?

Miss Snowflake had just come back off the rocks said that down there she could see even less!

You can see even less down near the Rocks!

It wasn't long before they set off at a pace for the grass path which means that first of all they have to negotiate the 'Wall Of Death'.

Mr Brambles normally takes this at a run and manages to give his claws a trim at the same time!

Out of the way, Ferret coming through!

Back home Holly and I were busy eating our breakfast when, without any warning, Brambles turned up in the kitchen looking to get some of our biscuits. Little did he know we get sort of 'Possessive'  about our food, so, when I did the 'Warning Grumble' it was a good thing that OTL picked him up before I tried a little nibble of ferret!

Holly and I finished our breakfast and went off for a snooze allowing the ferrets to raid our biscuit bowl!

Lunchtime was great, down to the waters edge and straight in!

I was in and out of the water chasing the stick that OTL threw for me. The tide wasn't right in yet, so, I was kicking up the mud as I swam in and out!

Holly was not impressed, she just doesn't do water!

Oh, Please! Does she have to make such a fuss!

With the tide coming in, it was getting deeper all the time and I was having a great time splashing about.

I have a game with OTL, he throws the stick out into the water, I fetch it and bring it back to shore, put it down and wait.

Then, a soon as OTL goes to pick up the stick, I have a good shake and try to cover him with water!

OTL is getting good at the game and it is harder to catch him nowadays!

Holly wandered along the beach and was busy enjoying watching the waves lap on the shore.

It's relaxing watching the waves.

In the end I was getting a bit tired, all this swimming takes it out of you!

Holly was pleased that we were on the move and back to the grass where the sniffing was more interesting!

Yeah, Come on lets get sniffing!

 I was looking for a place to hide the stick until tomorrow when we can use it again!

Now, who was it that said I looked all thin and scrawny after a swim?

I'll tell you, I'm not skinny I'm a........................................

I'm a Lean Mean Swimming Machine!

We were heading back to the car and I couldn't remember if we had a towel 'cos the drips were running down my back and under my tail!

Most uncomfortable!

You did bring a towel?

Of course he did! I enjoyed a good rub down back in the car and when we got home I even had a little snooze all wrapped up in a dry towel!

So, we are all ready to mug OTL when he gets his dinner and then it's off for another snooze before bedtime!

I'm a Soggy Doggy!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

You can tell the weekend is here, first thing in The Missus packing stuff up for a 'Master Class' and then pinching the little car to go out for the day card making!

As if she doesn't get enough of it at home!

We got down to the beach a bit earlier than normal, so Old Two Legs managed to capture a 'Morning' picture across the river!

Both ferrets were awake and out of the bag a bit quicker than normal, so that is a sign that the Spring is here!

OTL was playing about trying to get a Ferrets Eye View again. Miss Snowflake said that under the sea weed there was a Big Slimy Monster!

It wasn't long before they were running up the beach towards The Sea Wall. OTL tried but missed getting a Ferrets Eye View of Brambles and Snowflake having a race up the beach!

There was a lot of noise coming from over the wall but we didn't see anyone but that didn't stop Brambles from having a long 'Listen'!

Snowflake noticed that the sea had done some re-arranging of the shells on the beach and now claims that there are hills on the beach!

It's all Up Hill Now!

Along the top path we met up with Dave the Westie. We said 'Hello' but really all he wanted was to do was to say hello to OTL!

He got a stroke and a tickle on his tail which made him laugh and wriggle around!

Back home TM was getting ready to go out so we couldn't hang around too long!

OTL spent some time manufacturing while Holly and I had a snooze until just before lunchtime.

Now normally it is me who jumps up and shoves the back of OTL's chair to show it is time for our lunchtime walk. Not today, Holly crept up behind OTL and did a 'Really Big Woof' which, makes OTL turn around and ask what she wants!

OTL says to Holly, 'OK, What do you want? Show Me'

Holly runs off to the top of the stairs, turns around to make sure OTL is following, then down stairs to the front door.

OTL follows and then asks again, 'What do you want?'

Holly then goes up to the foot stool where our lead is kept and touched it with her nose!

Now, can you understand that both Holly and I can 'Talk' to OTL in our own way?

So, that was it, OTL got his coat and camera and off we went!

The tide was almost at the 'Top of The Tide', in fact, there was only half an hour left before High Tide!

I had a trot along the beach and a little paddle, until OTL told me to 'Come on Out', spoilsport!

A Paddle would be nice!

I carried on along the shore line and all of a sudden, I slipped into water when the stones gave way under me, Honest!

It was the stones fault!

Then I couldn't resist it, I went splashing into the water and paddled around a little bit!

OTL gave way and threw a stick into the water and off I went! It was great feeling the water over my back and of course, my periscope was straight up!

It was OK carrying the stick in the water 'cos it floats but getting it up the beach to OTL was a bit awkward at times!

It's got a bit of a droop!

Holly, who doesn't do water, sat on the beach topping up her tan and totally ignoring me all together!

I don't do water!

On our way back we bumped into Darcy who was just tickled pink to see OTL and had a little game of 'Chase The Stick' but thought it was 'The Business' when OTL tickled Darcy's tail!

We stopped at the bench and jumped up to see if there were any rabbits running about and Holly said that she looked looked 'The Business' 'cos I was a little 'Damp Around the Edges'.

Even OTL said that I looked like a Soggy Doggy!

Doesn't she look bedraggled!

We went out in the afternoon to the carrier and by then I was all dry and fluffed up!

So, now we are sitting at the bedroom window waiting for TM to come back and cook some dinner!

The Sun Shine Brings Them All Out!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

The sunshine has been super today, all lovely and warm and the wind has dropped as well!

You will all be glad to know that the fridge is still working and the door hasn't fallen off either!

Of course, The Missus has been stuffing it full of 'essential' things like Gin, Tonic Water, Inky Pads, Paints and Pickled Onions!

You know, we reckon she needs to see the vet soon and get some worming tablets!

Down on The Beach, we met up with The Lads again and we even got a share of their Nibbles! In fact it was the same as we get at home and the same stuff that Mr Brambles just Loves!

Which caused some problems!

Now I'm glad someone else gets these Nibbles as well!

You see, it's the same nibbles that Brambles pinches out of our bowl in the mornings. After his Poo Pot is cleared up and the door is opened, both he and Snowflake rush out for a 'Rampage' but in Brambles case it is a 'Charge' downstairs and straight into the kitchen!

Well, he was a bit upset that we had eaten all the nibbles and not saved him any!

So, after being deposited on the sand, he had a word with Old Two Legs asking why he hadn't got any nibbles? 

Why won't they share?

OTL said that we were a greedy pair of Woofers and should have saved at least one nibble but as Holly said, 'They were just Too Tasty to share!'

Mind you, the ferrets got their own back 'cos they found a 'Super Sniff' on the beach and had a good long roll in it and OTL didn't even tell them off!

This is GRRRRReat!

Mind you, I thought that Snowflake was enjoying it just a little too much!

Oooooooo! This is a Really Good Sniff to Roll in!

Holly said she was doing it just to wind us up!

Back home Mr Brambles was the first into the food bowl and he was making up for not getting a Nibble. He went back to the bowl three times, making a right pig of himself!

Lunchtime OTL took us back down to The Beach again 'cos the tide was right in and he was hoping for some waves!

No chance! It was all sunny and just a hint of a breeze!

There was a Two Legs on The Sea Wall with a camera on a tripod taking pictures of the sea and using a 10x ND filter. Now this filter is so black that you have to leave the shutter on 'Open' for about thirty seconds and the result is those 'Misty, Creamy' looking water shots. Really you would need a bit more movement by the waves but it just wasn't happening today. Still, we took a picture of him taking a picture!

We met up with a little woofer who just wanted to play chase with us. I was a little unsure 'cos she was yapping all the time!

So, I turned around and gave her a 'Really Big Woof' which is our way of saying SHUT THE WOOF UP!

It worked!

We had a little game, then decided that she was just too fast and noisy, so we left her to it!

When we got onto the beach OTL took a low down picture of the sea, just to see what it would look like if he was as tall as the ferrets!

Holly and I went off digging holes and when OTL asked who had dug the big hole on the beach Holly denied all knowledge of it and said she was just 'Catching Some Rays' but I think there was something that gave her away!

Me Digging? No, not me!

I on the other paw didn't have an excuse, I said that I was looking for yellow filters, but I don't think it really worked!

I say, this looks like a filter, no, sorry, it's a stone!

 Mind you, I did have an excuse to go for a paddle, 'Just to wash the sand off!'

Me, just washing my bits!

Let's hope the sun stays around for tomorrow!

Working at installing The Fridge!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

It has been a super sunny day here in North Kent, a little chilly first thing this morning, so that means the ferrets just poked their noses over the top of the Ferret Bag, then went back to sleep again!

I think we'll stay here thank you!

When Old Two Legs emptied them out of the bag they just stood there for a couple of minutes wondering where they were!

I don't know, I haven't got the map!

It wasn't long before Mr Brambles headed up the beach and Miss Snowflake headed for the sea weed!

Holly and I said 'Hello' to The Lads, Max, Oscar and Bryn then headed back to the car.

Snowflake had miss judged the sea weed and landed with her tail in the water!

Brambles kept telling he just how muddy it was!

You really need to get that tail to the cleaners!

Back home we all got prepared for the new fridge to be delivered, OTL moved all the furniture around and put the bins out in the garden.

Holly and I headed off to the bedroom so we can watch out for the delivery truck and to woof at the men for not being earlier!

Now OTL did something he doesn't normally do, He Read The Instructions!

Well, not exactly read, more like look at the pictures!

When he was looking for the fridge on the Internet, he read the 'Comments'  left by other people who had purchased one in the past. One Two Legs said that the installer took nearly fifty minutes to install the fridge and they thought it was rather a long time to install a fridge!

OTL took four hours!

He had just started to install it when Holly and I suggested we have a walk first, just to help him relax before going to work on the installation.

Down on the beach the tide had just turned and was heading out again. I fancied a swim but OTL said I couldn't 'cos he hadn't brought our towel with him today!

Go on, just a paddle?

To help get over my disappointment, I dug a really deep hole and said that I could see a Yellow Filter at the bottom!

OTL didn't think that was funny!

Guess Wot I See?

While OTL wasn't looking, I ran down the beach to the waters edge and sort of slipped into the water, just a little bit, up to my tummy!

Honest, the water chased me up the beach!

OTL didn't believe me!

As we got near to the car park, Holly and I rushed off to the Rabbit Hunting Ground and had a great time!

OTL called us to follow him but we were having too much fun! Finally, Holly ran off to find OTL but I stayed behind and in the end OTL had to come and fetch me.

I was in trouble!

You can tell when I'm in trouble, OTL puts the lead on me and I'm not allows to go and investigate any sniffs on the way to the car!

I'm in trouble!

Back home we found Auntie Angela had arrived to play Gas & Glitter!

OTL went to work and four hours later, after loads of 'Sarky' comments from The Missus and Angela, he finally finished it, just in time for dinner!
