There's Chicken and There's chicken!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss April and Miss May back again!

It's another fun Monday! Well, for us woofers it is! Old Two Legs has got to go out and do some work this afternoon, well that's what he had planned. We think it might involve climbing all over as building to get to an antenna, but he won't know until he gets there!

Holly says that she thinks it just might be a cable connector that is needed but we will have to wait until he gets back tonight!

We are still trying to get used to this messing about with the clocks. Why can't we send them all back to the shop and then just use the sun, you know, get up when he sun get s up and go to bed when the sun goes down!

OK, I know the summer days will be longer but the weather is good then and we won't mind the longer days!

Down on the beach the sun was up but hiding behind the clouds. We saw young Curly the Curlew out on the mud looking for his breakfast.

While Snowflake was messing about in the sea weed, Holly and I sat on the beach and speculated on the finer points of roast Curlew!

Think it tastes like chicken?

Snowflake spent some time trying to dig up a stone from the beach but she couldn't move it at all. It took OTL to solve the problem.

Why won't it move?

Heading back to the car we saw Kelly hovering above the undergrowth. He was looking for his breakfast as well. We stopped for a moment to watch him but unfortunately he didn't get a mouse of vole. It just goes to prove that a Kestrel isn't always successful!

We kept OTL at home until lunchtime when the Page 3 Girls got all dressed up in their harnesses ready for their rampage on the beach!

The sneaky pair snuggled down into OTL's arms and didn't open their eyes until we got to the beach!

It was fun watching them wake up and after a while, they scampered off towards the Grass Path. Mind you, they did try to get OTL to carry them up to the path!

OK, what about a little carry and then we walk?

Back home OTL left with his tools and a couple of parcels and we didn't hear anything for an hour when he telephones through saying that the road off the Hoo Peninsular is jammed solid with cars and lorries. It seems that there has been a fuel spillage and that has closed the only road off the Peninsular. OTL had been sitting in the traffic jam going nowhere!

We are expecting him back 'cos we have heard that the road is going to be closed for a little while yet.

So, Holly and I are going to sit at the bedroom window and wait for him.

Why do they mess about with the clocks!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss April and Miss May here, just!

We went to bed last night at our normal time, got into a comfortable position and drifted off to sleep. Then, just at the right time I woke up and gave Old Two Legs a lick behind his ear as a warning that it was getting close to 'Getting Up Time'.

He takes such a long time to get up that I have to go through this game every morning!

Well, there I was, doing my job, when I happened to look across at the clock.

Three fifty four! That's nearly four in the morning and I always wake up and give him a lick at five!

It was then that I remembered, OTL had said the clocks 'Go Back' tonight, I thought he was sending them all back to the shop!

Well, the upshot of it all was, we got up a whole hour late and it was messing with my body clock!

Even Snowflake was put out and got into her travelling cage before OTL had put her harness on her!

When we got to the Car Park, we met up with Bonnie the Staffy who had been down to the vets for an operation on her claws, the one that you may think of as your thumb.

To stop her from licking the wound she had to wear a horrible plastic collar! I remember when I had to wear one, I hated it!

That must be horrible to wear!

 We left Bonnie to it and headed off to the beach and there was just enough colour to get an 'Interesting' shot of the sun on the water and Sid the Seagull flying past calling out that we were 'Late Today'!

We called out that it was OTL's fault but he was too far away to hear properly!

Having a rummage about on the beach, Holly found a dead crab that had a super sniff about it. As Holly was really getting into the sniff and about to have a lick, OTL spotted her and woofer out for her to leave it alone. Well, actually he woofed 'NO!' Holly was so surprised that she backed off straight away, especially when OTL told her that licking dead crabs would give her the Grumbly Tum!

We headed off up the Grass Path, having a sniff as we went but Snowflake was telling me off for stepping in her sniffs!

You've just messed up that sniff!

 I said sorry and trotted off to join Holly who was looking down the path at a couple of woofers we sometimes meet. I think that they take their Two Legs for a walk instead of him taking them 'cos they keep pulling him alone the path and he has trouble hanging onto the leads!

One of the woofers was fascinated by Snowflake and wouldn't follow her TL, instead she just stood there asking if the ferret tasted like chicken! 

'Come on, tells us, Does it Taste Like Chicken!'

Holly called back that it tasted like Pig Poo and the woofer seemed most disappointed in that!

We got back home and after the chores got done OTL set about getting the ceiling sorted out before our midday walk!

It was rather quiet out on the walk, that half a boat was still on the beach although someone had dragged it down to the waters edge, only to be washed further up the beach!

May and April had fun sniffing in the grass, April says it's the best bit about the walk, May says a good poo is very satisfying as well!

 May was doing an experiment, she was counting up the number of Woofer Wees she could sniff between the beach and the car park, she managed to get up to ten but ran out of claws. She could have doubled that number but you see, she forgot about her back claws and of course she could have used her tail and ears as well!

5-6-7-8-9-Gone!

We got back to find that it was still raining in Austin Texas and the motor racing Qualifying was called off half way through but we have got our claws crossed for the race at six.

Not sure what is for dinner tonight but I reckon there may be some shortbread, I know that 'cos OTL has a brand new bottle of Malt Whisky sitting on the bookcase next to his chair and there is only so much temptation he can take!

Now, Izzy, I've told The Missus to write to your TL about meeting up on the beach, we normally get down there between twelve thirty and one. It will be great fun and we will have the ferrets with us as well!

Saturday with OTL and F1!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss April and Miss May here!

Wot a relaxing day!

We were up good and early 'cos The Missus wanted use of the car to go visit The Cat Woman and play at Glue Slapping. Well, what ever turns you on!

It wasn't cold at all down on the beach, even if it was just past dark! No sun rise 'cos there was too much cloud and it wasn't even good enough to try some B&W photography!

Miss Snowflake cuddled up in Old Two Legs arms and she even shoved her face under OTL's chin where it was nice and warm especially as OTL's beard is growing a bit!

When we got to the beach she was tearing off to get her 'Business' done and back to get another cuddle with OTL!

Oh! That's Better!

 OTL managed to stay ahead of her so it was a race back to the car!

At home Holly and I crashed out on the bed after a bowl of chicken each and we let the ferrets have a 'Rampage' around the house!

Once the 'chores' were done OTL had a little work to do on the computer and while he was working on one, the other was tuned into the F1 practise in Austin Texas.

It was very wet out there as they have a big storm passing through over the next couple of days so I think it will be a swimming race instead of a motor race!

We left them to it and drifted off to sleep on our new cushions in OTL's office, you know, they really are the Dogs Doo Dahs!

You know, before OTL brought them into the office, they were on the floor in the bedroom and Miss Snowflake curled up in the middle of mine and went to sleep!

This is the life, a soft cushion and a doggy biscuit!

Lunchtime they still hadn't got onto any serious practise and were instead just driving through the puddles so Holly and I told OTL we wanted to go out again. The ferrets were fast asleep, so it was fun to see OTL putting the harnesses of them while they were snoring their tails off!

Down on the beach Miss April was having fun searching under the sea weed when she jumped up and called out that she had found something that was 'Big and Slimy'!

We rushed over to have a look but it had disappeared by the time we got there, so, maybe next time!

Back home OTL was filling some holes in the ceiling with filler 'cos he had drilled a couple of holes to let the water out that had dripped from the shower. As there are not more drips he feels safe enough to bung the holes up and give it a slosh of paint, the paint goes on tomorrow!

We are planning a lazy evening, creep onto OTL's lap and mug him for some of his pizza and then maybe some short bread!

Young Izzy maybe coming down to our part of the world and who knows, may even come for a run on our beach! Now, that will be fun, Izzy can tell us all about the sniffs in Cumbria and we can show where all the best sniffs are!

But what are you going to do with Molly the Cat, surely she isn't coming with you? Down here cats are 'Fare Game and get chased when ever we see one!

Just Too Many Woofers for Snowflake!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss April and Miss May here!

After yesterdays fun and game we stayed in bed a little longer this morning. Holly said that it was the Doggy Cake and Carrots and Shortbread and Muggings and Chicken Fillets and the Anti Hair Ball Nibbles from the Ferrets!

Staying in bed later means we meet up with all the woofers out for their early morning stroll. They were all there, from Bailey all the way down to little Bo who thought Holly was wonderful!

The Gathering!

Every one of them wished us a Happy Birthday for yesterday and we were told about some remedies for full tums!

The only one who wasn't enjoying her self was Miss Snowflake. She got chased by Poppy every time OTL put her onto the grass path. We even took another path back to the car but Poppy still followed us and ran after us every time she saw OTL bend down!

So, Snowflake got a short run today, mind you, she didn't mind too much 'cos she likes a cuddle with OTL and she can enjoy the sniffs from a lot higher up than normal!

We spent the morning on our new beds while OTL cleared up all the Ferret Poo and tidied up their cages.

OTL is getting a little worried about the bone growth on Snowflakes back, not that it is stopping her from charging about and playing games with OTL, it's just that it's getting bigger, so, tonight she is off to the vet for a 'Consultation' which means OTL will be crying again!

Lunch time it was still overcast but there was no wind and the wormy men were out digging holes again, which amused Miss May. She reckons they are potty digging all the worms up and then throwing them back when the tide comes in!

Why not just leave the worms in the ground?

Even though it wasn't raining and there was little or no wind, Miss April still tried to blag a ride back to the car. Having done her 'Stuff' she said there was no reason to be on her paws when OTL could quite easily carry her back!

I'm not moving at all, so you will have to carry me!

OTL was having none of that, he insisted she have a run along the grass path and enjoy the sniffs!

Mind you, April did try the old 'Poor Little Me' but that didn't work either!

If I don't get a carry, I'll cry!

In the end she got a carry off the beach but got put down when she got to the grass path!

OTL and Snowflake have just  left for the vet, I'm not sure who I feel most sorry for, Snowflake or OTL!

Let's hope there are no nasty needles!

It's Our Birthday!

Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss April and Miss May here!

Guess wot? We are six years old today, well Holly and I are six!

We almost forgot it but Old Two Legs woke up this morning singing 'Happy Birthday to Yooo', we thought he had gone a little potty but then it clicked and we joined in the chorus!

We both had a big present each and it was wrapped up in loads of brown paper!

Holly and I dug in and quickly decided we couldn't eat it!

Then suddenly it flopped open and we saw it was a super dead smart new bed!

It felt all 'Wobbly' to begin with and OTL says it is filled with air and the whole thing is designed to be soft and comfortable!

Holly and I can confirm they are both super comfortable 'cos we have been on them almost all the day! We got OTL to put them in the office and Holly and I have been enjoying an extended snooze, all day!

Doesn't get much better!

I could sleep here all day. Oops! I think I have slept here all day!

First thing this morning there was a super sunrise over the Medway Estuary and it was all lit up like Christmas!

Snowflake had some fun 'Ferreting' around in the sea weed and under some of the stones on the beach. 

Then she announced that it would be her birthday next!

It's my birthday next and I'll be five years old!

Now five is a good age for a ferret and she is in top condition for her age. OTL says it is because she gets lots of walks and good food!

Snowflake says it is because she just good looking!

Lunchtime we were sniffing along the beach when Holly and I found this real stinky sniff, in fact it was so strong that we reckon OTL could have sniffed it!

Holly reckoned that because it was our birthday, we should be allowed a really good long roll in the sniff, just as a treat.

April said that if we did have a roll, we would both be tied up in the back of the car and when we got home OTL would give us a soapy bath!

Maybe a sniff will have to do!

 April and May had fun on the grass path but once they got going we all had a running race back to the car!

How about a cuddle OTL?

 April tried to get a lift back but OTL said she needs a run at least once a day!

Mind you, when we got back she did get a cuddle from OTL and a slurp of Ferretone!

We are looking forward to some chicken tonight, all warm and greasy!

OTL says that if we eat it all up we'll get a chew as a birthday treat!

But It's a Wet Wednesday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss April and Miss May back again!

What a Yuck day it's been, weather wise anyway!

We knew we were in trouble when Old Two Legs insisted we wear our rain coats this morning!

You know he even had to put us on our leads when we got out of the car 'cos we sort of stopped and didn't want to go any further and really wanted to get back into the warm car!

Miss Snowflake agreed with us but she snuggled deep down into OTL's coat and stuck her nose out and left the tip of her tail showing as well!

When we got let off the lead, what did we get?

WET!

Why does she always get a cuddle and a carry?

Snowflake did a crafty one, she said that she would only do a wee if OTL promised to carry her back to the car!

Well, she got a carry off the beach but it was back to joging back to the car for her as soon as we hit the grass path!

It was a good try anyway!

OK, here's the Deal, I Wee and then you carry, OK?

We spent the morning tucked up in our snoozing positions under OTL's office desk. Holly had a nibble of a Biscuit Bone and I finished off a Teeth Cleaning Chew!

Lunchtime it was still raining!

We got put on the lead again and this time it was April and May who were digging into OTL's coat looking for a dry spot!

Still, they didn't have to go scampering all over the beach, you see it was raining a little harder and OTL's camera is a bit old and it wasn't handling the high ISO setting (technical bit!) so everything was looking blurred!

Mind you, both May and April were happy to get a bit of fresh air on their noses even if it meant getting a little damp! 

I don't care, I want to go back home to my cushion!

As we got closer to the car both ferrets were pulling OTL along and they were even keeping up with Holly who was striding out and mumbling about 'Damp Tails'!

Not far now!

One of the good things is that OTL keeps a doggy towel in the car and the ferrets get a good rub down first, then Holly and I get a going over as well. We aren't bone dry but it stops us from dripping over the seat!

OTL spent the afternoon working while us Woofers enjoyed a warm bed and a long snooze!

Now, tomorrow, OTL tells us, is a 'Special Day'! Now we are not sure what he is going on about but he says we will like it. So, that means sunshine a food and walkies, well what else is there!

Tuesday ain't bad either!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss April and Miss May back with you again!

Well, what a day! It has been all sunshine and balmy breezes today.

We were out this morning a little later than normal but we all enjoyed the run along the beach.

Old Two Legs left the camera at home so there were no pictures of Holly and I chasing twenty foxes along the beach and he missed Miss Snowflake beating seven sorts of Ferret Poo out of a gang of very rude Stoats!

Honest!

Lunchtime it was all go again and we were ''Harassed'  by a couple of Bozo Labrador Woofers who showed a more that healthy interest in May and April!

One of the Bozo's actually told OTL to 'Throw the Rat and We'll Fetch it for you'!

OTL told them both where to go and what to do when they got there!

Mind you May didn't help thing by hissing and spitting at them, from the safety of OTL's shoulder!

Now, on the way back to the car OTL took a picture of Holly Dog like wot you never normally see, and, it is just for Archie Babe!

Now this doesn't last for too long you know. Normally the hair grows over her eyes and she becomes all 'Mysterious'!

So for just a few days after having a haircut, she can see where she is going!

Right, we are off to do some mugging, OTL has got Gammon Steak tonight and both Holly and I just love the way The Missus cooks it, just ten seconds before burnt black!

We Love Monday's!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss April and Miss May here!

It's Monday again!

You know what is good about Mondays? Everyone goes back to work and we get the Beach to ourselves!

Miss Snowflake stayed cuddled up in Old Two Legs arms, again, you know she is beginning to make a habit of this. I mean, OTL doesn't cuddle Holly and I and transport us to the beach!

Mind you, all this inactivity caused Snowflake a bit of a scare. There she was, balancing on a pile of sea weed, doing her business and on completion, she happened to glance down into the rock pool.

There, in plain sight, just where she had pointing her tail, was the most enormous poo of a colour that indicated a trip to the vet, PDQ!

'What the Woof is that?' she said inviting us all to have a look!

Well, Holly, OTL and I knew what it was straight away but Snowflake had never seen anything like that before!

A Ferret Poo?

She couldn't work out why we were all laughing!

In the end Holly told her it was a Golf Ball that the Two Legs like to loose all over the world!

Snowflake said that they should go and loose them somewhere else and not scare a ferret like that!

That could give a girl a nasty shock!

The sun came up quickly and on the way back we met up with the Bedlington Terrier who has taken a fancy to Holly.

Miss Holly Chops, being the Big Tart, was dancing around him and getting him into trouble 'cos she wasn't on a lead and he was!

Oh Gawd! She is 'SO' embarrassing, I just can't look!

Today, the Page 3 Girls didn't stay awake after they had their rampage around the house, I suppose it was the biscuits that they were eating and pinching that just wore them out!

Miss May spent a long time getting into our bag of special biscuits and in the end only managed to pinch two 'cos The Missus spotted her hiding one under the settee!

Lunchtime came and they were still asleep, so OTL had to get them dressed up in their harnesses while they were snoozing!

On the beach Holly was keeping an eye out for Bert, cos she reckons he is so easy to wind up but today we didn't see him.

Snowflake reckons he goes out early, before the Bedlington Terrier, so that means we will have to get up in the middle of the night to catch him!

No, no sign of Bert!

Miss May woke up as soon as OTL put her on the sand and she scampered off to dig a hole or two and try to climb the Sea Wall.

Come on April, new sniffs!

April took a bit longer to wake up but once she had managed to keep her eyes open, she was off to the grass path.

She just loves 'swimming' through the grass and OTL calls her a 'Grass Shark'!

I reckon it is just another excuse to go rolling in a sniff!

I'm a Ferret Shark!

We have been sniffing in the kitchen but can't work out what OTL has got for dinner tonight, I do hope it's not salad, the poor lad can't take any more!

You can't beat a Sunday Afternoon Snooze!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss April and Miss May here on a super lazy Sunday!

Well, it was to be a lazy day but we started off a bit earlier than you would think!

Old Two Legs got woken up by Holly and I having a 'Discussion' over a rawhide chew!

The ferrets were still asleep, which is not normal! Mind you, as soon as OTL brought the milk up they were all awake!

I had a bit of a Grumbly Tum and told OTL I needed to go out so at seven we were mobile and heading towards the beach.

When we got there it was rather dark and misty across the river Medway. It didn't stop Snowflake from climbing all over the sea weed and chasing us back to the car!

She stopped only to have a roll in something smelly!

How come she can get away with a roll?

 Back home OTL was re=arranging the Office desk 'cos the new monitor has to stand on the desk instead of hanging on the wall like the last one did.

That gave the Page 3 Girls longer to have a 'Rampage' around the house and of course, they made the best use of the time to rob our biscuit bowl and chase OTL around and then back to the kitchen to have a roll in the washing and finally there is the 'Free Style Ferret Wrestling'

2 Falls, 1 Submission or a Knockout!

 Miss April made a super discovery, a big pile of clothes that are waiting for The Missus to iron. It was an enormous pile 'cos TM is not into ironing, mind you you could add cooking and house work to that list as well!

This is GOOD!

 Surprisingly enough, the Page 3 Girls didn't go back to sleep and instead, when they went back into the cage, they stayed awake by kicking their Poo Pot and other toys all around the cage. Around eleven thirty we decided that we should go out again and off we went back to the beach again!

This time it was bright and there was even a little sun!

Holly and I had a game of 'Chase' up and down the beach and I got into digging a couple of holes as well!

That was until May came creeping up on my blind side and shouted 'Rabbits!'

Nearly scared the Woof out of me!

RABBITS!!!!

 May had a dig in my hole then headed off to the half boat that was still on the beach after a week of being washed by the tide. I think it will be here for some time!

May had a good ferret around and even managed to get a length of dried sea weed caught on her harness!

Back home they both headed for bed and in no time at all were snoring their tails off!

Holly and I headed for our cushions and joined the ferrets in a Sunday Afternoon Snooze!

Now, we have seen an email that OTL got yesterday, on November 21st The Harietsham Ferret Rescue will be holding their Christmas Ferret Show!

This year we are expecting great things for the Page 3 Girls, since being with us they have both had a moult and are looking 'The Business'!

They have both put on weight and their claws are being kept to a 'Natural Length' by walking on the concrete Sea Wall. With Snowflake, OTL has to trim her claws every so often so we have to make sure they are trimmed and then 'Worn in' just in time for the show!

The show is being held at the same place as last year, the Harrietsham Village Hall.

We will remind you again nearer the time together with the full address for your Sat-Nav thingy!

A Saturday with Old Two Legs.

Hi! Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss April and Miss May here!

This morning The Missus headed off to her 'Saturday Crop' at the Village Hall.  Trouble was, she was about a couple of hours late and we were shoved out early so we could come back and take all her stuff up the hall before everyone arrives!

That means, we were walking in the dark!

Lucky for Old Two Legs, his camera has a light thingy on it to shine on whatever he is taking a picture of!

In this case, it was out backsides!

If you can't see, close your eyes and use your nose!

Mind you, Snowflake says that she can see in the dark 'cos ferrets are good like that!

This is nothing, you should try Rabbit Holes, now they can be dark!

Snowflake tried the trick of running up the Sea Wall, just like the Page 3 Girls but as she had her claws cut last week, they were not as pointy as the girls, so she fell off half way along the wall!

Anything they can do, I can do better!

I must admit, it was a bit chilly, the wind was blowing in from the north and that's not a good place to get wind from!

Back we went and pretty soon we were indoors and keeping out of the way of the Page 3 Girls who were charging around the house!

They have this game they play with OTL. First they run away, dooking and dancing all about, then, they rush back to OTL and jump up onto his lap and give him a fun 'Nip'. Well, it not a nip really more a 'Grab' and then let go and run away dooking again!

April also loves trying to run up OTL's lap but she also tries to run up his trouser leg!

She runs up and then starts dooking before climbing back down again!

They stayed out on their rampage for almost two hours before heading back for a snooze before their lunchtime walk!

It was still blowing from the North but down on the beach we had some fun digging holes and playing 'Chase', even when we heard a woofing in the distance but it was just Bella the Staffy who wanted her ball to be thrown!

That sounds like Bella!

 The girls had fun digging as well and Miss May was doing her favourite trick of sticking her nose into the sand and pushing it up in front of her!,

April joined in as well then headed up the grass path and back to the car, she was feeling a little cold!

Come on, let's play Sandcastles!

 Back home OTL was busy doing all his chores and this time it was a very enjoyable chore, installing his super new curved screen monitor!

Mind you, it does look super and he spent the afternoon watching one of the Hobbit films on Netflix in HD!

Posh or wot?

We are expecting to have a relaxing night tonight and OTL says he will have a slurp of his favourite whisky tonight, just as a celebration, and of course, where's there is whisky, there is Shortbread!

Let's hope tomorrow the wind drops and we won't so cold in our short coats!
