Eric shows off!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Now, Sunday is always a fun day, you know, no real working, just the normal wander around the house searching for nibbles hidden by the ferrets!

Loads of strangers walking up and down the Sea Wall, a few strange woofers to woof at and loads of Two Legs looking at the ferrets and asking , 'What are they?'

Over sized rats!

Holly and I did our best to get rid of any woofer who looked like they would get too close to Wendy and Freddy!

We don't want any trouble so we make sure there is a good space between the ferrets and any strangers!

Well, I don't see any more woofers! Looks like a 'Good Job'!
Back home we had fun with Eric by telling him there were loads of woofers on the beach and he wouldn't be able to dig any holes.

That wound him up and he spent an hour rattling on the cage door demanding he be let out to 'Sort Out' the woofers!

After an hour he got fed up and crawled into bed with May. Thirty minutes later Old Two Legs was getting his coat on to take us out again. Poor old Eric, he was half asleep and sort of missed out on the excitement of getting his harness on and being put in the travelling cage!

Eric has still to learn how to pace himself!

Down on the beach, while Eric was trying to wake up, Miss May was joining Holly and I in a 'Sniff Search'.

There was a super sniff somewhere close but we just couldn't find it!

Look it can't come out of three different places!
Holly wandered off down the beach while May and I carried on searching, but we just couldn't find it.

Well, I guess we are beaten this time!
Now, Holly chops had gone off to search and had followed the sniff down the beach. She had a little dig, had a little sniff, dug some more, had another sniff and then dug a little more.

Then she got fed up and sat down on the pile of sand next to the hole.

Little did she know, the last bit of sand thrown up from the hole was almost all sniff, coated with sand!

Holly sat down.

Holly sat down on the sniff and wriggled her butt so the sand pile made a good seat, then she wriggled some more.

Holly now had a seriously large patch of 'Sniff' stuck to her butt and all around her tail!

Oh Dear!

Wot a sniff, wot a smelly woofer, wot trouble she was in!

All the way home in the car we all stayed well away from her and OTL even opened the window so the sniff wouldn't hang around in the car!

A Sunday Holly will remember!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly de Sniff, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Rugby, Rugby and Game Of Thrones, YEAH! RESULT!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a super Saturday this is.

We started off with a walk this morning and Freddy was showing off with his 'Tracking Signs'!

This means 'Straight Ahead'!
Miss Wendy joined in and copied Freddy 'cos she wanted to go straight back to the car for a snooze!

We took The Missus off to the village hall with all her gear then headed back to get all the cage cleaning done before any of the rugby started.

I kept an eye on the clock so we could get our lunchtime walk before the Scotland-Ireland match started!

This is me doing the 'Time for Walkies' look!
Just for a change, there was no rain in our part of the world and it wasn't too cold either!

Eric and May had great fun in the Sea Kale.

Miss May has got something about Sea Kale, she just loves to scrunch up a leaf and give it a good roll.

Eric seems not to have the same desire to sniff of Sea Kale but he joins in just to keep May happy.

Ooh! Bliss!
Mind you he does get a little confused sometimes, which gets him into trouble!

Gerroff! I said BLISS, not KISS!
It was all good fun and on the way back to the car we came across a Two Legs flying one of those 'copter Drones that makes a terrible sound. So much was the noise that both Holly and I went into 'Howling Mode', which made Old Two Legs laugh!

Back home we had just enough time to make some lunch for OTL before the Scotland Ireland Rugby game started.

We sat on the chair with OTL and joined in the cheering. I was cheering for Scotland and Holly was supporting Ireland!

Well, it has only just finished and the score was Scotland 27 points against Ireland 22 points!

Next it's the England- France match, guess who we will be supporting!

TM is out tonight so, after the rugby it will be the Game of Thrones!

This is how to spend a Saturday!

See you tomorrow!

I found a Super Sniff!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wasn't it great this morning?

We got down to the beach and the sun was shining and there was a 'Balmy Breeze' blowing down the river Medway.

Old Two Legs wanted to take some pictures of the sun but he had forgotten his camera!

Wot a Bozo!

Back home Miss Wendy and Freddy were a little tired after their run on the beach and soon they were fast asleep in their cage all cuddled up in the 'Cuddle Cup'!

Lunchtime we made sure OTL remembered his camera!

Miss May found the first sniff on the beach and enjoyed a really good roll!

This is just WONDERFUL!
Holly didn't seem impressed, mind you, she has had a 'Grumbly Tum' for a couple of days and has declined a run on the beach, so instead she sits on the Sea Wall 'cos it is 'Nice and Cool' for her butt!

This is just right!
While everyone was having fun, I found this Super Big Soggy Sniff that was calling out to be rolled on!

So I did!

Ooh! It gets right between your shoulder blades!
Lucky for me OTL didn't see what I was doing, he thought I was just having a roll in the sand!

When I had finished and caught them all up at the top of the grass path he spotted my back!

He called me a lot of names and made me sit in the back of the back of the car, just so I couldn't have a roll to work it in a bit more!

Miss May got off with it 'cos she was rolling in dried stuff that came off when she had a good shake!

You know I'm going to have to take some lessons from her, she never seems to get called 'Smelly'!

Off down the path again!
Tomorrow we have got a treat, The Missus is off to one of her Master Classes so we will be able to snooze on the sofa and watch TV all day!

Better still, she is out for most of the evening 'Baby Sitting' so it's Bonio biscuits, Rawhide Chews and Shortbread crumbs everywhere!

OTL says we can stay up if we want and watch the 'Game of Thrones' that have been recorded!

Result!

We haven't heard anything from Mr Goodes (Michael) who went to London to get his nose sorted. I don't think I would like my nose messed about with, let's face it, how would I find the sniffs!

See you tomorrow!

Luv

We See The Sun!

Yo! Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back with you again!

Wot a surprise this morning, a little bit of red on the clouds before the sun got up and when it did get up........................
POW!! There it is!
It made a change to see the sun instead of those Misty, Foggy mornings!

We all had a game on the beach and we still couldn't find the ball. Holly reckons the Nargles have pinched it!

Those Nargles get everywhere!

On the way back to the car the ferrets went along the Ferret Track again and just for those of you who couldn't see it yesterday, we did this for you!

All you got to do is Follow The White Line!
Towards the end it gets easier 'cos it is even easier to see, well we think it is!

See? Even a Two Legs could follow this path!
Back home there was a bowl of chicken waiting for us woofers while the ferrets demolished a few chicken strips, some Brambles Biscuits and Old Two Legs office!

Well, it's a Ferret Thing!

Freddy had a super game with OTL and got his tummy tickled while being dragged around the floor in the bathroom!

Eric was all 'Rush and Tear' while also having a game with OTL as well!

Come lunchtime we headed off again to the beach but half way there it started to rain and it rained so much that OTL left his camera in the car but took the ferrets, all wrapped up in his arms!

The further we went along the path the wetter it got and it wasn't too long before we turned around and headed back to the car!

We all got back home to a snooze on our beds while OTL finished off some paperwork and made it look like he was working hard!

The ferrets enjoyed a big snooze, all cuddled up together and Wendy was snoring her tail off!

OTL says that there may be some very wet and windy weather heading our way over the next few days so it means we have to find our 'Wet Weather Gear'!

Tomorrow we are going to take the big car to get some body work done after it got scratched on a Yorkshire Stone Wall and also where someone scratched the bonnet while we were parked up in Tobermory a couple of years ago!

OTL is already weeping at the cost but he reckons it will be a lot less that the extra he would have to pay out if he claimed on his car insurance!

We are off now to see what OTL is going to get tonight and if we can pinch some!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Ferret Tracks!

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Although it was raining last night, just about 'Wee Time', we woke up to no rain and no sun!

It wasn't too cold though so we were able to have a game on the beach!

Trouble was, we lost the ball, again!

No, You had it last!
We met the lads and young Marley crept up on Old Two Legs and offered to chase the ball if he had another!

I'll chase the ball for you OTL!
 Wot a creep!

The ferrets had fun and had a super game of 'Chase' down wot OTL calls the 'Ferret Track' which is a path both sets of ferrets have created a path that they just love to race down.

Hey! Your brake lights aren't working!
After the race down the track it's only a quick dash to the car!

Lunchtime we went searching for the ball again but I think the tide has washed it out to sea!

Well, I can't see it down here either!
Eric and May also love the 'Ferret Track' but Eric is not as fast as May 'cos he likes to stop and enjoy each sniff!

That always causes a 'Crash'!

Come on Eric, shift your butt!
Once they are out of the track we end up on the short grass path where we wander along acting like the tough Woofer Pack!

No one messes with us!
Mind you, we haven't met any nasty woofers but we still look good!

There is forecast of rain and high wind over the next few days so we will need to find our rain coats.

The ferrets don't have rain coats so if it is too wet they will just have to make do with a rampage around the house while we are out getting wet!

You know they really have a hard life!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Windy and a little colder.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret again!

It has been a little drafts today and the ferrets have stayed wrapped up in Old Two Legs arms instead of wriggling to get onto the ground!

Mind you, when we got to the beach they had to get down and go for a forced run along the sand!

No, nothing new today!
Max and Oscar said they would be glad when they get back home and I must say I was thinking the same thing!

We should have worn our Winter Coats!
Lunchtime it was just as windy but the tide was right in. Miss May was running along the beach but didn't chance getting too close to the waves 'cos they were bigger than yesterday and looked a lot wetter!

I'm watching you!
Eric was a bit slow in getting moving but once he got going he was like a rocket! We were charging along when we met a gang of woofers we know. Eric and May had to be picked up but we couldn't hang around 'cos Eric and May wanted to get down and go charging through the grass along a path they had made from running along the same path every day!

It has now got so worn that even Wendy and Freddy have started to use it as well!

No sign of the Cetti's Warbler today so it must have gone back to the reeds where it is warmer!

Let's hope things pick up soon 'cos Spring is just around the corner!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret

Wot Is It and Can We Eats it Precious?

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, we are experiencing some 'Low Pressure', you can tell that 'cos the waves have gone!

No Wind, No Waves, Boring!
It was so boring that Miss May decided that she would have a little paddle.

Trouble with ferrets is that their legs are rather short in relation to their body, so, their tummy is close to the ground, which means they have to be quick whenever the walk over a bump!

Now, it also follows that if they are standing on the waters edge and a little wave arrives on the shore, they will in turn end up with wet paws and a wet tummy!

Yikes! It's Wet!
Miss May found out the wet way!

Holly and I know about things like that, so, unless I'm going in for a swim, we stay well back from the water!

No, just the same boring sniffs!
I had fun winding Old Two Legs up by asking if he could get some climbing gear so I can climb the Rock Wall!

A Harness, some Safety Ropes and Crampons?
I won't tell you what he said 'cos it's rude!

As we all headed towards the concrete stairs Holly and I rushed on to the grass and went into Serious Sniff Mode!

Eric and May came along behind but stopped on the stairs 'cos there was a little bird looking all cold and tired with it's head tucked under it's wing, fast asleep!

But wot is it Precious?
OTL had to hold back the ferrets who wanted to do the 'Chicken Taste Test' and this little bird didn't even know they were there, licking their lips!

In the end the bird woke up and fluttered a couple of feet away from two sniffing little ferrets!

OTL couldn't identify it but with the couple of dodgy snaps he had enough to go on for when he got home to look in the bird book!

Any ideas?
Well, to stop you all worrying, OTL reckons it is a Cetti's Warbler. He has often heard this little bird calling but never seen it in 'Real Life' so that is another he has ticked off his list.

Now, the next one he has to find is a Bullfinch!

Not that we've ever seen any down on the beach!

Hey! We guessed right, Izzy's third little woofer is called Jean Genie!

The Missus said the she would just love one to stay with us but OTL said that our pack is big enough thank you and we rather agree with him!

We can sniff chicken cooking down stairs so we are off!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

An Overload of Cute!

Hi Woofers!

It's us back on a rather mild Sunday, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Down here in North Kent the temperature has got to the dizzy height of ten degrees!

Not exactly sun bathing weather but well on the way!

There was the normal quota of visitors wandering up and down the Sea Wall and we even got chased along the wall by a family who had stroked the ferrets before and wanted another stroke!

We met up with Barney II who was just Tickled Pink to say hello to Old Two Legs and get his tailed tickled!

Yo! OTL!
We got some pictures from little Izzy of her new family, she has named two of them, Major Tom and Lady Stardust. We are still waiting for the third name, wot about 'Jean Genie'?

Dead posh those names are but we didn't know Izzy was a David Bowie fan, you Little Rocker you!

This weaning lark can get complicated!

OK, Who's got the Doggy Scoff?
This is how to do cute!
Ooops! This cushion is slippy!

It's hard being super cute!

OK, let's try that again!
Well, that's it for today, super lazy, super cute and dinner is on it's way!

Now, before we go, Archie Babe has just got to stop sticking his nose and tongue into yukky stuff even if they sniff super!

That way you won't get grumbly tums!

If it carries on like this you will have to wear that muzzle every time you go out the front door, remember, that's not good for your street cred!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

We get visitors!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We love the weekend, you never know what is going to happen. It could be a really lazy time with Old Two Legs while The Missus is out at a Master Class or Crop Thingy or the place could get turned up side down by visitors!

Today was one of those 'Upside Down' sort of days!

It started with OTL getting up a little later than normal which of course made everything else a bit later than normal.

Our run on the beach with Wendy and Fred was good fun 'cos May found a sniff that was calling out to be rolled in, by all of us!

You should have seen OTL jumping up and down trying to get control of two ferrets and a couple of woofers!

No Chance!

Back home TM was cooking up some Lambs Heart and the sniff filled the house! So, while we stuffed our tummies, OTL went to work on the ferret cages.

He seemed in a bit of a hurry today and even forgo the normal chase around the house and a roll on the carpet, for the ferrets!

Almost as soon as they were reinstalled into their cages, there came a knock on the front door.

Holly and I were not expecting any callers so we got into 'Woofer Mode' and gave it some serious 'Woof Off' growls and woofs.

The front door was opened and in stepped Auntie Jane, Uncle Ian and three little puppies!

The puppies were Alfie, Oscar and Louie!

That was it, Holly decided to retreat to the bedroom to guard her Bonio treat while I legged it into OTL's office to protect the ferrets, and my Bonio!

Out comes the camera and OTL has few clicks before he has to go out to do some work.

I can do cute without trying!
Holly and I decided to go back upstairs onto our bed and wait until OTL came back, at least we would keep out of trouble!

Like all puppies, they don't last too long before they needed a sleep!

Having a Snooze Break!
Now these three are all brothers and are a Jack Russell, Poodle cross, so that makes them Jack Doodles!

I must admit that two of them look a bit like Holly and I did when we were puppies but Louie definitely has the Jack Russell look about him, even when he's asleep!

Louie.
When OTL came back Louie made a great fuss of him and OTL said that he could stay if he wants but Auntie Jane said that there was no chance!

We love Auntie Jane!

No, we want to stay with Mummy!
After they left we headed off to the beach and being the weekend there were the normal strangers walking along the Sea Wall and there were the normal questions like............what are they?

One thing we did notice was the shape of the sky, it looked like the sand on the sea shore after the tide has gone out!

Well, it's just gone high tide!
We reckon that there is a warm front heading our way so maybe tomorrow it will be a lot warmer!

Now we are off to see what is for dinner!

See you all tomorrow1

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Friday, 27 January 2017

It's Friday at last!

Hi Woofers,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Another cold day but not as cold as yesterday! Mind you, it is Winter and the colder it is the more bugs get zapped so we don't suffer from biting bugs in the summer!

You know it was so cold Old Two Legs didn't bother with the camera this morning!

It took young Freddy a little while to get going on the beach but once he had warmed up, he was off like a shot, heading back to a warm comfortable travelling cage in the back of the car!

We remembered what he was like when we first welcomed him to our pack, he would spend ages just looking at the bushes and the sky and saying that he 'Didn't know there was so much!

Nowadays he is all tearing about sniffing all the sniffs and almost keeping up with May as she enjoys a good run along the grass path!

Lunchtime we were back again but with May and Eric this time. Now Eric is a bit of a 'Freddy Clone' with regard to this walking lark. It's OK spending all your time in a warm cage with soft bedding but a walk in the fresh air or a dig on the beach really gets your fur to stand up!

Well, it was like that with Eric. At the Ferret Rescue he and his brothers and sisters were in the open air but still in a cage, so they got fresh air but no rampaging!

To begin with Eric was a little unsure of himself and spent most of the time looking at the sky and all the bushes and then he does a 'Freddy' which is 'Roll on your back and wait to be picked up'!

Miss May is a bit of a 'Fast Lady' and enjoys a good run. If Eric wasn't keeping up she would rush back and give him a shove!

It didn't take Eric long to pick up on the walking lark and although his isn't as fast as May, he does keep a good pace!

OK girl, race you to the steps!

Everyone has their limit and Eric is no different, there comes a time when the strain of keeping his tummy off the ground does tend to make him a bit tired, so, he stops and waits until OTL crouches down so Eric can run up and jump onto OTL's leg so he can get a carry for a little while.

Now this is causing OTL a problem 'cos when OTL wants to take a picture of Eric, Eric thinks that OTL is offering a lift and he goes rushing over to OTL and up he goes!

So, the only way to get a picture of Eric it for OTL to wait and 'Ambush' Eric as he tries to climb the steps!

You did this yesterday!
Holly reckons that we should do a 'Freddy' and roll over onto our backs and wait for OTL to pick us up and carry us back to the car!

Wot about a lift OTL?
OTL says that if we can both climb into the ferret bag he would give us a lift!

I don't reckon that Holly could get her head in the bag, never mind her butt!

So, us woofers are back on our paws again!

OTL has got to go out tomorrow morning to do some work, now that's a bit much, I mean, hasn't his customers learnt that the weekend is for resting!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
